Holiday houses in Perais

Het was een heel mooi huisje, klein, maar alles was van goed materiaal, fijne douche, mooi ingericht met leuke houtdetails. We sliepen heerlijk met de ramen open en het geluid van het riviertje, verder was het helemaal stil ‘s nachts. Buiten fijne terrassen, heerlijk met onze voeten in het riviertje gezeten, een fantastische omgeving, helemaal vrij uitzicht aan de achterkant van het huis en een lieflijk gehuchtje. We liepen elke dag een half uurtje naar Gois, een mooi dorp met rivier en heerlijke gebakjes bij de paladeria. Wij vonden het heel fijn!

Where do I start. Well first off, we arrived in the middle of the nationwide blackout. I could not text Paula that we were on the way nor did we have service to find the place. BUT we did!! And oh my, the place is gorgeous, right in the middle of the mountains. There was no electricity because of that national blackout but Paula was a star, sheltering us the best she could in a crisis! She’s such an incredible host. We drank wine and ate cheese, slept in the most comfortable bed and woke up to the miracle of electricity. STAY HERE. Even without electricity it’s the greatest Airbnb I’ve ever been to.

Nuno was a very helpful and communicative host. You can tell he cares a lot about the local community and area. The village itself was lovely.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt auf dem Floating Àlvaro sehr genossen. Besonders gefallen haben uns die Ruhe und die wunderschöne Natur rundherum, ein perfekter Ort zum Abschalten. Der Gastgeber und seine Frau waren jederzeit sehr hilfsbereit und herzlich. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Jetzt im Frühling war es angenehm ruhig, nur ein paar einzelne Fischer waren unterwegs. Im Sommer wird es durch Badegäste und Barbesucher sicher etwas lebhafter, aber das gehört ja auch zur Ferienatmosphäre dazu. Ein wirklich besonderer Ort, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Una maravilla !!! El entorno es impresionante, si vienes con la idea de respirar aire puro y escuchar solo el cante de los pájaros, despertar con ese café en mano, levantar mirada y maravillarte del paisaje que tienes delante de tus ojos …. Muy recomendable para todas aquellas personas que necesitan resetear de verdad así sean 2 días. Sin duda volveré lo más pronto que pueda!! Con mucho cariño de mi (Bianca) para Sandra !! Thanks 😘

A casa correspondia com as expectativas. A anfitriã Ana, muito simpática e acessível. Zona muito calma com bichinhos nas redondezas super queridos. Adoramos a nossa estadia!

I enjoyed a very pleasant stay at Fazenda pela bella vida. The accommodation is easy to find from N112 15 min walk by (not harsh) dirt-road and surrounded by small farms (nice for walks), 15 min by car to Castelo Branco city centre. For an off-grid experience it’s super comfortable including warm water shower, fully equipped kitchen with lounge area, options for yoga / mindfulness classes, fitness and boxing equipment, pool and outdoor lounge sets. I stayed in the tenthouse which was carefully decorated and equipped with a.o. washing table, airblower, fridge, double bed, side tables, carpet and cozy couch. Petra and Harold were great hosts, both super welcoming and attentive. Highly recommended, enjoy!

I can’t express how grateful I am for this unforgettable stay. Nestled deep in the woods, the place felt like a peaceful retreat straight out of a fairytale: quiet, surrounded by nature, with the soft sounds of birds and leaves in the breeze. Every little detail was thought through with care and love, making the space not only cozy and beautiful, but also deeply welcoming. And then there’s the host, absolutely extraordinary. From the first message, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Warm, thoughtful, and genuinely kind, Mariana made us feel more like guests in a friend’s home than travelers passing through. Their recommendations, attentiveness, and generosity added so much to the experience. If you’re looking for a special escape, this is it. A place to breathe, to slow down, and to feel truly taken care of. I’ll carry the peace I found here with me for a long time.
