BehrenSCHLAF vacation home Stay in the thatched farmhouse and discover nature and the countryside well rested. Built around 1780 as a smoking house, the farmhouse is protected under historic preservation and has been lovingly maintained. You will stay in our cozy apartment with a terrace to the south side and views of our garden. When was the last time you watched the swallow children during their flying lessons or listened to the humming of the bumble bees in the grass? Hier ticken die Uhren etwas langsamer: Unser liebevoll saniertes Fachwerkhaus liegt am Ortsrand von Sumte, umgeben von Wiesen, Feldern und der einzigartigen Landschaft der Elbtalaue. Freut euch auf Sonnenuntergänge von der Terrasse, entspannte Stunden in der Gartensauna und viel Platz für gemeinsame Zeit mit Familie oder Freunden. Die Elbe, der Sumter See und zahlreiche Radwege sind nur wenige Minuten entfernt. Wer mag, entdeckt die Elbtalaue bei einem Alpaka-Spaziergang unserer Nachbarin.

Enjoy relaxing moments in the garden with a swing, hammock, and fire pit, or on the terrace, where a charcoal grill invites you to enjoy cozy evenings. After a day at the lake, just 100 meters away, which you can explore by boat or SUP, the sauna provides soothing relaxation.

Country house near the Schaalsee

The house is in a very quiet location in the biosphere reserve Schaalsee. It is 10km to Lake Schaalsee, 5km to Lake Neuenkirchen, 50km to the Baltic Sea (dust-free!!!). From the house can be started directly to bike tours, on adjacent hiking trails. There is also a swimming pond on the very natural property. The house is very bright and very quiet. I also paint there and write and so there is also a large easel available. Pets have a generous spout.
