We had a great stay in my hometown for a family reunion and were fortunate enough to find this hidden gem. The views were beautiful, and the house was nicely updated with a clean, modern feel. I actually grew up not far from here and had no idea this place even existed! We drove in from Texas with two kids under 10, so it was especially refreshing to arrive at such a beautiful, peaceful home. The space was perfect for our family of six comfortable, spacious, and welcoming. The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating throughout our stay. This will definitely be our go-to spot anytime we’re back in the area. Highly recommend!

We were in town for a funeral, had a welcoming stay at the house, everything was perfect. We would definitely recommend this home.

The rental was very spacious and clean. We did not have any issues but the host was very fast at replying to any questions we had. Great location in historical part of Elizabeth City. We came in for a funeral and it was wonderful to have a place for family to gather.

Beautiful property, very private and quiet area. Definitely need a 4wD car as stated! 30 min drive on the beach to the house. Stocked with everything we needed. Thanks for having us. It was truly an amazing experience!!

Was an amazing stay and great place!

This was the first time for our family in Corolla. The place and area was beautiful. I would highly recommend this house/area to family and friends but would stress the importance of a 4-wheel drive. The house and response time from the host was amazing. My family has expressed how much they enjoyed the area as well as going back next year!

So nice to be just outside the hustle and bustle of OBX life. The cottage was delightful, with everything you need to enjoy your time. We did not use the amenities of the country club, but we walked our dog several times and the grounds are pristine. We look forward to coming back again.

This house truly was the perfect find! From the almost 8 mile drive up the beach to wild horses, we were able to enjoy the escape here. The view of the sand road and ocean waves cannot be described, you just need to experience it! The tiki bar & inground pool were the perfect spot for us to have a crab boil & to top it all off, their love for dogs is obvious and we appreciated that! They also have a “community pantry” in the house for guests to take/leave & we also thrive on community and giving so we loved this! The issue that came up was Kitty Hawk Rentals kept calling & messaging to charge us the pool fee when we booked through AirBnB. A lot of confusion between them & AirBnB which was frustrating. I told them I’d call them when I got out of the hot tub, they called multiple times interrupting vacation, I tried paying with my BFs card we used to book, they rudely refused payment and said a manager would be in touch! They then apologized, I was correct and AirBnB adjusted correctly

Had a great time fishing here!! The place had a well stoked kitchen and a nice grill! There's also another fishing area nearby by car that was great too!

We enjoyed a peaceful stay after long days on bikes. We were in town for the NC Coastal ride. After riding for 30+ miles each day we came back to a tranquil location. The home is immaculate. Every item one would ever need was provided. It was perfect to have a full size fridge for our supplies. Beth even left firewood in case we wanted to enjoy the fire pit. We were able to stretch and get in a yoga session on the dock. Yoga mats were provided. The home feels like a ship in that it is surrounded by water. The waves and fresh air made for incredible sleep each night. An osprey nest is outside the window. With the binoculars we were able to watch the progress of the nest and the amazing pair catch fish. The communication throughout the stay was spot on. The “billion dollar” view is remarkable, but the amenities and care from the homeowner make this is top notch vacation spot.

I had the most wonderful stay at The Cottage at Muddy Creek! The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and so peaceful—exactly what I needed for a relaxing getaway. You can tell there was a lot of thought and care into every detail. The self check-in was super easy, and the views by the water were absolutely stunning. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, cozy escape. Can’t wait to come back!

Maureen was flexible with us checking in 2hrs early. The house was clean! We got to explore the area, not much to do, but it was peaceful. Be sure to check out the trail by the COA! It was beautiful! The big fenced yard was a great addition for we had our dog with us. The pool was an added bonus! However, there was no “active pool cleaner” and there were a lot of bugs and dirt from the trees on the water—which was understandable. Other than that, everything was great! Felt right at home! We were thrilled with this property! Tons of space, very comfortable, clean, everything you need and fabulous view of the river! It was a haven for us after very busy days! We felt very at home and will definitely be back!

From beginning to end this cottage is off the charts. Cute, unique, functiinal, confortable, well organized, thoroughly supplied and the location is private and beautiful.

This Airbnb is AMAZING! If you want a once in a lifetime experience, give this place a try. I initially booked it because it had 2 king size beds and two bathrooms, however, I did not expect to thoroughly enjoy Liesl's artistic masterpiece as much as I did! It is truly what Liesl said she hoped it would be: that you feel like you're walking through a painting!
