Charming rural gite, shared use of pool/games room

La Maison Mignonne is renovated stone cottage, situated in a quiet hamlet in the Haute-Vienne region of South West France. It has been sympathetically restored, combining traditional character with contemporary comfort. There are two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with two singles), bathroom (with bath and shower), and open plan lounge-kitchen downstairs. All mod cons are provided: dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer, wood-burning stove, TV.

Châteauponsac, known as the Pearl of the Gartempe, is a fortified village, built on a rocky outcrop. The house is an old 2-story elevated sheepfold with exceptional views of the Gartempe Valley with its terraced gardens, the so-called "Roman" bridge, the historic district of Moustier and the Saint Thyrse Church. Swimming supervised in July and August. A practical guide will be available in the cottage for more outings!!

The cottage overlooks and accesses the river, where swimming is possible. The hamlet is very peaceful, and the water is a great place to relax! A walk can be enjoyed from the cottage, along a path along the Vienne River. You can reach Chauvigny on foot or by bike along the trails. There are a few chickens on the grounds. Nightly rate: €52 without sheets + €8 sheets to be paid in advance if needed.
