Holiday houses in Pico Fernandes

This is how AirBNB should be. The house is stacked with everything. How often are you in an Airbnb and they only have 6 plates? Here they have 20+, they have Great knives, tons of kitchenware, enough toilet paper, plenty of dishwasher tabs and also cleaner for the washing machine. Things you normally expect but somehow got lost in the making money machine Airbnb is now. Not here!! A absolute crazy welcome basket (have not had such a big one ever), friendly crew and absolute amazing place - can only recommend

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans ce glamping au cœur des bananiers. L’endroit est à la fois dépaysant, paisible et parfaitement intégré à la nature. Tout était conforme à la description, très bien aménagé et propre. L’accueil a été chaleureux et attentionné. C’était une expérience unique que ma compagne et moi recommandons vivement à tous ceux qui cherchent un moment de calme et d’originalité sur l’île. Merci encore !

We were so impressed with the Airbnb from the minute we walked in! Amazing views and a great place to stay! Couldn’t have asked for better from André as he made us feel really welcome! Lots of nice personal touches that made our experience as lovely as it was! Helpful things for people - if you are planning to get taxis we would advise you book them in advance and book your return with them!

Our wonderful host Sofia stopped by before we left and said “Isn’t it magical?” … it sure is and more. You will need nothing; you will want nothing more; you may forget all your plans to hike, find miradouro’s, and explore, because Villa Papaya is simply mesmerizing and keeps you in your happy place. If you must leave this Villa, it is close enough to just about everywhere you’ll want to go. José and Sofia are excellent at what they do; take advantage of this opportunity if you can, It’s Magical!

Wir wurden sehr herzlich von der Mutter von João empfangen! Die Unterkunft war wunderschön, sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich wünschen kann – sogar einige Lebensmittel waren bereits vorhanden. Man konnte direkt am Haus parken und João war immer gut und schnell erreichbar. Besonders begeistert waren wir von der Terrasse und dem traumhaften Ausblick! Während unseres Aufenthalts gab es leider eine Baustelle direkt nebenan, was etwas gestört hat, aber dafür können die Gastgeber natürlich nichts. Insgesamt eine absolut empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Staying at Villa Nobrega was an unforgettable experience. The villa is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, with breathtaking views from the rooms and especially from the pool. The barbecue area is perfect for evening dinners, warmed by the fire with the city lights sparkling below. Rosa and Octávio are wonderful hosts — welcoming, attentive, and discreet. They made everything flawless, and their passion and care shine through in every detail. We highly recommend Villa Nobrega to all our friends and to anyone reading this: it’s a special place that truly deserves to be experienced at least once.

Très belle villa neuve dans un quartier calme, bien conçue, spacieuse et bien décorée, avec une superbe vue, piscine et jacuzzi). Le contact avant et pendant le séjour était très bon, et l'hôte réactif via des échanges par messagerie téléphonique même pour des questions de dernière minute (comme un conseil de restaurant). Nous avons pu donner notre heure d'arrivée et quelqu'un était présent pour tout nous expliquer clairement (en anglais) et nous présenter le logement. Un panier bien garni de produits est offert à l'arrivée. Tout était propre et bien rangé, les chambres ont chacune leur dressing et salle de douche, la buanderie est tout équipée pour faire lessive et ménage si nécessaire (avec produit de lessive) et la cuisine aussi avec de nombreux accessoires et vaissellerie, ainsi qu'un lave-vaisselle (avec du produit). Un guide explique le fonctionnement des appareils (qui ne sont pas forcément simples à comprendre sinon). Donc un très bon et beau lieu pour un séjour en famille !

Well what can I say about abor villa- By far the best air bnb we have ever stayed in. Absolutely exceptional and decorated beautifully, so artistic and clean and akin to a boutique hotel. Emma was a fantastic host, she made the whole stay exceptional for our young family. Personal touches such as a mini chair for our two year old with suitable cutlery, cups etc ready for us, even taking the trouble to remove the legs of the children’s bed so not too high from the ground. She provided a box of toys for our children and ensured staples were ready for us after a late flight so that the children had food and milk- something we whole heartedly appreciated. The position of the villa was ideal- close to the capital, excellent views , close to restaurants and local towns and ideally situated so easy to get to the northern sites of the island which really wasn’t far when renting a car. Emma was easily reachable and offered lots of recommendations. The pool and views exceptional, we will return!
