Holiday rentals with a pool in Playacar

This was a GREAT place to stay! Perfect location and very spacious and clean. We loved it!

Wow, BOOK it now! We loved our Spring Break retreat here. The sprawling house is amazing. It was perfect for our 2 families (9 ppl - 4 adults, 5 teen or preteens). We had enough room to spread out but all connect in the amazing spots throughout the property. The house setup gives lots of flexibility to accommodate variety of guests. The porch is awesome. The pool and waterfall are relaxing. The cenote is truly uniques. The support team (Ruth - housekeeper and Rafael - handyman, grounds) are a superb extra perk. We coordinated for a bfast and dinner by Ruth and perfecto. They treat the property and guests with real caring. The location is convenient for all types of activities. We couldn't have asked for more and highly recommend.

Jess’s place was everything we imagined and more. Beautiful gem well worth the price plus, very responsive and helpful hosts.

El lugar está muy tranquilo, seguro y muy cerca de todos los lugares de entretenimiento que puedas buscar en playa del carmen. La hospitalidad que brinda Claudia es inigualable, siempre muy atenta agradecidos estamos por todas las atenciones que nos brindo y muy buenas recomendaciones que nos hizo. En definitiva regresaremos, por que nos hizo sentir no que solo estábamos en casa sino que nos hizo sentir como si fuéramos alguien de su familia.

Gustavo's place was just what we needed. Don't expect 5-star service, rather authentic Mexican living in an amazing place with 5 different outdoor locations to chill. There are leaves (it's a jungle paradise), and be careful for occasional branch that may fall. It's beautiful, serene, peaceful. There were also some bugs in the back (but it's a jungle paradise and we were there in May); one of the many terraces has a bug curtain that helps manage that. It's shady in the back, full sun on the shared rooftop (we didn't see anyone else up there). It's not a tourist neighborhood FYI! I've been to Playa del Carmen 4 different times, and this place was the best! Also the best local food close-by. So relaxing, and so many birds that sing all day! We spent most of the time in the casa. Pool has to be skimmed (the yard's greenery is spectacular -> leaves), but Gustavo is very responsive and helped run the filter mid-week as well. Gustavo speaks Spanish, use Google Translate if you need it.

If I had to pick one feature about the place - that would be location: 5 minutes walking from the beach, in a quiet security-protected community [ don't forget your wrist band !! :) ], 15 minutes from the nearest restaurants on the 5th Avenue. Taxi was easy to catch at the Riu hotel (opposite side of the street, 5 minutes walk) - prices are listed upfront, drivers accept credit cards (10% extra charge is listed too). So, no surprises. The townhome is not brand new, but clean; equipment (washer/dryer/gas stove ...) work fine. We, family of 4 = 2 adults + 2 kids (13 & 15yo) used pool a lot around noon - nobody was there most of the time. HVAC cooled the bedrooms on the 2nd floor better when the fan was set to low or medium - not to hi (a bit counterintuitive, so thanks to host for help with that). Very good mattresses (usually it is an issue for us). 3 beach chairs and 2 umbrellas are available behind small doors under the stairs (1st floor). A bottle of wine was waiting for us - nice!

This house is perfect. It’s huge. Close to the beach and amazing. Don’t hesitate to book it.

Our stay at Casa Jaybird was amazing. We spent a month here and could have easily stayed longer. The location really can't be beat - a super quiet street right off 5th Avenue and walking distance to the beach. But for being so close to all the action, the home felt so private when you were inside. Elizabeth was always responsive and quick to answer our questions, and Samuel was always so kind and happy to help with anything around the house. We have young children so we had white noise machines in all the bedrooms, so we didn't have any concerns with the noise as some reviews mention. There was some construction nearby during the day but truly nothing that really bothered us. We'll be back!

Super beau logement avec un jacuzzi privé, le penthouse est comme les photos. La rue était en construction et nous n’avions pas accès au stationnement. L’hôte nous à remboursé le montant que nous avons payé pour stationner. Cela a été très apprécié même si c’était hors de son contrôle. L’hôte était très réactif et répondait rapidement. Je recommande vivement!!!

Pour notre premier AIRBNB, très satisfait, le logement était parfait, piscine et proximité de la ville excellent, la plage laissait à désirer à cause des algues, j'y retournerais sans hésiter, merci Lucero

Le logement correspondait parfaitement à la description, à quelques minutes à pied des plages principales et du ferry pour Isla Mujeredes. L’immeuble est super avec un acceuil / sécurité disponible H24. L’hôte est aidant et très réactif

Very nice and clean. Very close to attractions, beach 5 min walk and local Walmart 14 min walk. Outside patio and plunge pool was a great added touch. Also, a little bar next door to the condo building. Only downside was I wish the bed was more comfortable.

This place was just like home and I would rebook it if I had to go back again. Everything was perfect. Its closer to most nearby attractions.

Great apartment in a nice condo complex. It’s worth noting that if you’re after beach time to note that Playa del Carmen and that coast gets a lot of seaweed from May thru August apparently, so be prepared for the smell and not using the sea much. The apartment is wonderful, well lit, very spacious and well equipped. The host is very responsive. The pool setup is great, added bonus having same shade over the pool. Staff at the complex are fantastic. Overall we enjoyed our stay here

Absolutely loved my stay! The place was clean, stylish, and just perfect for a relaxing getaway. The private pool was peaceful, refreshing, and perfect for lounging any time of day. One of the best parts was the beautiful view overlooking Playa del Carmen, truly breathtaking, especially at sunset. Great location to get to 5th street and the restaurants. Would definitely come back and highly recommend.

The property was gorgeous & was a perfect space for our group to just hang out in the pool, relax, and enjoy. The home itself was beautiful, completely accurately pictured and described, truly a stunning home. Comfortable beds, AC! They were very sweet about letting us decorate the place for our event and make it extra special for our bride. The hosts were INCREDIBLE, helping us at every step of the way including helping us plan activities (catamaran picked us up right at the house) arranging transportation, helping us with deliveries, and setting up a fantastic private chef experience. All exquisite. The pool is everything— even has a small section of shallow water for anyone who just wants to cool off but doesn’t want a full swim. It is large enough to fit a big group which was also a plus. Only downside of the property is that it isn’t particularly close to the restaurants nearby, but with the help of their recommended very affordable taxi service everything felt accessible!

La unidad estaba perfectamente situada frente al mar, la alberca y restaurantes. Las camas muy cómodas y la cocina con lo necesario para cocinar. La atención de Mónica y Yazmín estuvo de primera. Nos atendieron de lujo y nos ayudaron con cosas extras hasta ir por un abanico de piso para mi hijo autista que lo necesita para dormir. Hicieron toda la diferencia en nuestras vacaciones. Les agradecemos de corazón todas las atenciones. Y sin duda regresaremos.

Darryl's place is exceptional and exactly as listed and shown in pictures, even better actually. We really enjoyed the space, everything in the condo worked well and the kitchen was well equipped to cook meals. There were even a number of spices and things left from previous guests that we were able to utilize throughout our stay. We were also able to leverage the VIP transportation Darryl offers which was both economical and comfortable when going to and from the airport. In terms of tips while staying here, the market at The Royal Haciendas is excellent with almost everything you'd need and only about 5% markup over heading to an actual grocery store. It would be about a 15 minute walk to get there from the condo but is much easier with a car. On that note, you'll definitely want access to a car or will need to use a cab to get into downtown Playa or head to the grocery stores but the front security gate is awesome and they can call cabs for you. Each driver we met when using a cab was excellent to deal with. The trip into Playa is maybe 10 minutes if that. Hot tip, if you are going into Playa with a rental car and want to stroll down 5th Ave, park at the Quinta Alegria mall. Parking is underground, relatively cheap and it's central to some great stuff on 5th. You'll need pesos to pay for parking however. Usually 50 to 70 pesos for a longer stay. During our 2 week stay we also had a small issue with the garbage disposal in the sink and within the same day the property manager was there and it was fixed and even cleaned spotless. Very nice to see that level of service! Also, they have a great water cooler in the kitchen that takes big jugs of water that the property manager made sure we always had a full supply of so we didn't need to worry about having lots of drinking water on hand. You could also smell that the water coming from the taps is properly treated and clean. No issues brushing our teeth from the bathroom sink etc. The property amenities from the rooftop pool and deck area (which was awesome for morning yoga sessions or afternoon/evening drinks) through to the main shared pool just a few steps away was excellent and we really enjoyed them with our 4 year old and 7 year old. We also made use of the gym and had lunch at the golf course outdoor grill one afternoon which has some nice tacos. In closing the property and the host here were excellent. Darryl clearly cares that his guests have a great time and goes above and beyond answering questions, providing tips and helping you feel right at home. We'd love to come back and stay here again!

After our previous Airbnb cancelling last minute, we thought we were out of options. Luckily, we found Andres’ penthouse. Plunge pool was so needed after a long day’s walk, every neighbor was pleasant, check-in was a breeze. Walkable from 5th, as well as some of the off the beaten path restaurants and bars that we prefer. I felt safe and welcomed, grocery shopping just across the street as well! We had such an amazing time, I would come back to this spot when returning to PDC.

The spot and view are amazing and breathtaking. The condo had all that we were looking for - starting with a comfortable bed, which is not always the case in AirBnBs. When there were too many around the pool area, you could go back to your private deck and put on some noise-cancelling headphones. A positive surprise: at the pool, there is a bar where you can order endless... cocktails! The location is quiet after 10 PM, while being very close to the famous Fifth Avenue where all the tourist restaurants are, but you can also wander around it and find some interesting spots. There is also a big supermarket where you can find everything, including a $2,500 wine bottle !, at a 5-minute walk. If you want to be picky, the pool water (in December) was fresh but not cold + we never found a bread toaster.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay! The house was gorgeous, the staff made delicious home cooked meals every day, and continuously cleaned up after us! Patricia and Yessi checked in and made sure we were happy with our accommodations. This was such a special stay and experience and I would highly recommend it! Thank you Patricia for making the experience incredible!
