Family-friendly holiday rentals in Plumstead

Great place! Loved the pedal boat option. Perhaps not so ideal if you have toddlers because the staircase does not have rails. Minor issue really and other than that we had a good stay.

We had a lovely stay at Imraan's! The house and the view were so stunning and that made one almost not want to leave the house at all. We also got great recommendations and communication was also very easy. Thank you!

What a wonderful time we had in Alex’s beautiful Higgovale House with its special atmosphere. A home from home we felt immediately at ease. The tropical gardens give the feeling of being in the midst of the jungle - despite being only minutes from the lively Kloof Street with its many restaurants and coffee shops (wine bar/coffee shop/deli Tamboerswinkel deserves a special mention). We felt very safe at night and enjoyed being able to access Cape Town‘s sights quickly. A highlight was our hike to Lions Head - again only a stone throw away from the house. Alex’s great communication throughout our stay was not surprising, given his friendly welcome and advice and whilst we didn’t stay long enough to get to know her, housekeeper Barbara also seemed very friendly and attentive. We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay. The space was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Laurette was incredibly friendly. Communication was excellent - responsible and informative, without ever feeling overbearing. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and well-managed place to stay!

Beautiful home and a great space for a family or small group. Located just down the road from botanical gardens in a gorgeous neighborhood. Kitchen had everything we needed. Our group included a couple of small kids so we appreciated that there were plenty of at-home activities when we were not out and about in Cape Town (pool, hot tub, playground, smart TV, books). Wish we could’ve stayed longer — hope to come again!

The location for the Tree House is simply fab!!! Views of the mountain from the house and quite centrally located to move around near hout bay, and even V&A was not too far! We’d go back in a heartbeat!

Spacious apartment with everything we needed. Waking up, opening the curtains and watching the sun rise over the sea, whilst sipping a morning coffee was truly special. He best start to the day. A fantastic base to explore from and it was lovely to come back to and relax at the end of the day, felt very homely.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at The Mountain House. You will not regret booking it! Peaceful and tranquil while still being close to restaurants and shopping at Kalk Bay. Hiking literally on your doorstep and Fishhoek and Muizenburg beaches easily accessible. The views are amazing and the hot tub is something special. The kind of place you never want to leave. Carin and Miles are excellent hosts. We hope to be back soon.

Thank you to Candy Ann and Jason for a wonderful stay. We appreciated the beautiful clean apartment with absolutely everything we needed , very comfortable bed and pouffes and couches to enjoy the few. What a wonderful experience to sit in bed and watch the sea at sunrise hear the waves crashing at night. The Apartment is pet friendly completely fenced and private. Walking distance to a variety of coffee shops and restaurants for yummy take aways and the local beach is beautiful clean and a lovely walk with pets. A quick and beautiful drive to Kalkbay and Houtbay for the best dim sums at Yesca's Teahouse and amazing churros at Olympia Café was an added bonus. Jason was such a lovely considerate host and gave us a wonderful experience of Kommetjie and we are already planning when we can go back .

Great host, great location and accommodation would definitely go back again

This house is in a great location and has a really central city feel. We really enjoyed our stay here. The house has all essentials available and there is a lovely cafe across the road which does good breakfasts as well as other restaurants a few minutes walk away. It is well located in central Cape Town making all tourist attractions easily accessible. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We were very grateful for this as we locked ourselves out and within twenty minutes someone was able to open the house up and let us in again! Can really recommend the house to anyone who wants to get a feel for more central Cape Town.

Yvette was a great host. Very accommodating. If we needed anything she was quickly responsive. The place was beautifully decorated and very clean and included a couple of luxurious features.

I have been to many hotels and appartments all over the world: This one is the winner in the category "Unusual and spectacular"! The view is unbeatable and the place has a very relaxed atmosphere. Keep in mind, two of the beds are upstairs with a very steep ladder, we decided to not use them and sleep downstairs in the main living room. Also bring some earplugs, the sea can be very noisy, the appartment is just a stone-throw away. All in all: 5*****

Admittedly - the photos in the listing look too nice to be true, but if you are in the apartment, then everything is even better !!! This incredibly breathtaking view of Table Mountain and the bay - you don't really want to leave the apartment again. But that would also be a shame, because the close to the beach invites you to extensive walks and various restaurants and bars are within walking distance. The apartment itself is functional, smart and nicely furnished. Everything is very clean. The quality of the mattresses ensures a good night's sleep after intensive vacation days. The rental car can be safely parked on the premises. In short, I was there for four days and would have loved to spend a few days, but unfortunately the holiday was over. What a great end to the vacation! Thank you Liz !!!

Rustic beach house. Not much to the accommodation, simple and comfortable. exceptional location. Loved our stay. Feels like you’re in a David Attenborough documentary. Would definitely return

Perfect location for city vibes. The patio with Mountain View was to die for and hosted memorable family reunion braais. Kitchen had everything we needed. My sons took a quick uber to table mountain early for a sunrise hike.. while we did the cableway. Washer and dryer was great to have. We felt right at home. Secure. Two parking bays. We ubered all over the place, Uber was always quick to respond. We walked Bree and Kloof street for shopping; and had lunch at “Our Local” which was recommended by Johan and we second this emotion! The food was incredible. No complaints. Beds comfy with electric blankets if needed. Close to everything. Wonderful stay. Debbie who came in to clean on the last day was a gem. Thank you for everything!

We had a fantastic stay. Sindre was a great host, very helpful and kind and gave us great tips for Cape Town. The house felt very safe, with incredible views over camps bay and close to surrounding nature. Recommend to rent a car or use Uber to get around.

Deb's place was a perfect home away from home! It felt wonderfully homely with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. She and her staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was ideal - situated in a quiet area that allowed for peaceful relaxation, yet conveniently close to shopping centre. I particularly enjoyed the nice walking areas nearby, which were perfect for morning strolls. Overall, a great balance of comfort, convenience, and tranquillity that I would happily recommend to other travellers.

I have to say it is one if the best Airbnbs we stated at, if not the best. It looks exactly like the pictures. The place was spotless and all of the amenities were provided. We felt right at home the moment we stepped into the place. If you are looking for a place to stay at Camps Bay, you found it.

This is a lovely house, perfect for our big family group. The views were spectacular, standing out on the balcony watching the sunrise was quite something. The house was well situated, a bit of a walk down to the town (and a more painful walk back up the hill!) Yvette was very responsive to a couple of teething niggles, which was helpful, as were her recommendations for local spots to visit.

Freda is a very kind and responsive host. We enjoyed staying in her beautiful space. Would highly recommend.

Candy’s place is everything you need and more to have a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing vacation. Wake up with stunning views in the morning, relax in a peaceful courtyard with a pool, enjoy a relaxing time reading one of the many interesting books available on the shelves in a happy, friendly decorated interior and a large family size table to enjoy a meal. The location is very clean, safe, secure and comfortably within reach of many gorgeous attractions, museums and Cape Town international airport. Candy’s place is a must on your next visit to Cape Town.

My favorite place, the interior design is mind blowing, absolutely love the colors. The house is so spacious with balconies and rooftop.. Had a great time there.. Love the list of local recommendations with closing time. Host has always been very friendly and helpful.. Thanks a lot 🙏🏼
