Live the “simple” life on the Baltic: in a solar-powered workman’s hut. The idyllic hamlet of Klützer Winkel is 20 km east of Lübeck, Germany, 6 km west of Boltenhagen, and only ten minutes’ walk from the unspoiled Baltic coastline. Our natural refuge (3500 sq.m./over 37,000 sq.ft.) is nestled among hilly meadows, woodlands, beaches, and some nearby seaside cliffs. Our owner-run plot of land has many fruit trees and other trees, blackberry bushes and shrubs. Pristine meadows directly around the property are crisscrossed by narrow pathways. You can set up your own place to sit, and there is a central terrace with barbecue. Facing the south, the vintage workman’s hut (20 square meter/215 square feet) was converted into a cocoon of living space with virtually no environmental footprint. Its separate bedroom, kitchen and roomy living area are supplemented by a 14 square meter (150 square foot) veranda facing west. All the flooring is larch. All electricity is solar generated with water supply from on board tanks or at the nearby “bathhouse” on the same plot with its solar-powered shower. A wood-burning stove can be used in colder weather. Details: 12VDC power supply, intermittent 220V/80W power with converter, DVB-T TV, radio and DVD player, refrigerator, two-plate gas cooker, and sink. Since 2016 we got a supplementary nonsolar power supply i.e. to have a shower without sun. Plus we offer: Bicycle and bed linen rental (please confirm in advance), drawing and painting kits, arts and crafts equipment, beach utensils. Plus the chance to pick and process cherries, blackberries, pears, and apples (all according to the season and availability, for a small fee) Klützer Winkel also offers many leisure, cultural, and recreational opportunities.

Our apartment is located in the small district of Fährdorf-Hof on the island of Poel, away from the main road. In the immediate vicinity is a natural coast that is not developed for tourists. The nearest beaches can be reached by bike/car in a few km: Schwarzer Busch approx. 5 km, Gollwitz 6 km, Timmendorf 8 km. The beautiful Hanseatic city of Wismar is 13 km away. The apartment with separate entrance has a barbecue area and a private parking space. Note: In 2022, construction work will take place in the village.

The holiday home is located in the Sternberger Seenland Nature Park, is 200 years old and was formerly the same. Ice house of the manor house. It was completely renovated in 2017. The sauna, canoe, rowboat, stand-up paddle as well as a ping pong table and badminton can be used free of charge. Groß Raden has an archaeological open-air museum with holiday programs and two restaurants. From the jetty or boat you can fish or swim. To the Baltic Sea, to Schwerin as well as to Wismar and Rostock are about 45 km.

Idyllic apartment in an old farmhouse

Not far from Lake Ratzeburger in a village location, surrounded by fields and nearby forest, the apartment (90 m²) with private entrance can accommodate up to 4 people. The bright rooms are inviting, south terrace (60 m²) with table, chairs and loungers as well as a small garden complete the offer. Bed dimensions (cm) 180 x 200 and 160 x 200. Chill area for kids on the gallery, private sauna wellness times can be reserved, child-friendly beach in 10 minutes by foot. The apartment is located in a house with several apartments about 200 m from the beach and harbor in the seaside resort of Timmendorf-Strand on the island of Poel, right next to the lighthouse. It is located in the attic. The apartment is furnished with a sofa bed that can be converted into a double bed. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a coffee machine, toaster, kettle and fridge. For your laundry in between, there is a washing machine and dryer in the basement.

Our house "Poeler Mother Goose" is located in the middle of the nature reserve overlooking the Baltic Sea and the opposite skyline of Wismar. Especially in the off-season, we can enjoy the natural spectacle of migratory and breeding birds directly from our terrace. It is 800 meters to the natural beach, and all other beaches are accessible by bike. The island is perfect for families and nature lovers.

On 75 m² there is a modern kitchen, a bedroom, the bathroom, a large hallway and a living room on the ground floor. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed for self-catering. The bedroom is equipped with a double bed. If necessary, the armchair bed can also be pulled out to form a cozy single bed. A crib can also be set up. In the living room, the couch and the two armchairs can be converted into two cozy beds.
