Thank you for looking at Windy Pines Suite. This spacious one bedroom/one bathroom suite has a large kitchen/living room; and is perfect for travelers. It is clean, comfortable, & uncluttered, a home away from home! It is surrounded by beautiful pines, in a safe neighborhood with accessible parking. Close by is the interstate with access to Iowa State Fair Grounds, and Downtown Des Moines. WP is attached to our home but it has its own separate outside entrance. Please send me any questions.

Drive into the attached garage and go upstairs where you will find your very private entrance to a quiet, peaceful, and restful living. Located 1 mile from the downtown area on a street loaded with large Oak and Walnut trees. A huge back yard in which to stroll or barbecue. It is the top half of my house complete with it's own kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. My residence is the bottom half of the house. Lots of excellent restaurants nearby. My home is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood of Ankeny with a 16 min. drive to downtown Des Moines and Wells Fargo Arena. The high trestle trail is about 8 blocks away with a nice park 1 block away. The highlight of my home is the newly remodeled bedrooms and bathroom. There are queen beds in each of the bedrooms. The guest bed is brand new. The living room has a 55” LG OLED 4k TV with a PlayStation 4. I have high-speed cable internet with cable through slingTV.

Whether you're here for one of the many events at the Fairgrounds or just visiting Des Moines, this house has just what you need to make your stay comfortable and convenient. The house is located on a 4-lane, main city street so please be aware if you are sensitive to noise. However, majority of guests don't notice any noise disturbances.

Outside we have a pool (guaranteed to be open 5/26 - 9/5, but will do everything possible to have it open well before and after those dates based on weather!), hot tub (year round). Located 15min away from Downtown DSM & a mile away from a grocery store/restaurants.
