Cottage holiday rentals in Portaferry

We had a beautiful stay at Seaview Cottage. Niall was there to greet us on arrival and show us around. The attention to detail and little touches made us feel so welcome along with the friendly host and unbelievable views made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. We highly recommend staying at Niall and Janeen’s cottage, thank you both very much for having us!

We are just back from a lovely, relaxing few days away at the cottage and we are already wanting to go back! Beautiful location, so peaceful and the cottage itself was just out of this world and of course not forgetting the amazing hot tub! We can’t wait to plan our next stay soon at the cottage. We even got to bring along our dogs who had so much fun. Big thank you to Glenn who made sure everything was perfect for our stay and was always there if we needed anything. An excellent cottage and location for a family get-away. The cottage has a wonderful view and all of the comforts necessary for a restful break. For us, the hot-tub really made the place stand out.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. The hot tub was amazing and the surrounding countryside was gorgeous- special shoutout to the donkeys! Steph & Michael were wonderful hosts and super helpful. We had lovely trips to Tollymore Forest Park & Carlingford which were both easy to reach. All in all very highly recommended :)

This was just what we needed. It was complete peace and quiet with beautiful stars. My whole family felt refreshed and we all had a lovely time.

What sets this place apart is the hosts and the extra touches they put into their cottage. It was a welcoming home with yummy bread, butter, eggs, milk and other treats when we arrived. We appreciated the thought that went into making us feel welcome and the local recommendations we received.

Adrain's house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed having the cows and sheep outside our windows. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Steen was a great host, fast to reply to questions and very helpful with regards to things to do in the area. The cottage is lovely, so cosy and really nicely decorated, comfy beds, nice linens and modern bathroom. The whole place was very clean and there were nice little touches for guests. It has absolutely everything you could want for a stay, we really couldn't fault anything. Whilst we didn't use it, the little annex out the back is charming, a great addition. The location is great, just across the road from the beach for lovely early morning walks or after dinner, we were lucky enough to have great weather so we were able to walk the dogs on the beach up until 10pm last night. There's a petrol station/shop about 5 minutes away that can provide basics if needed. The garden is worth a mention, planted with lovely bee friendly plants with 2 or 3 little areas to sit and have a glass of wine or dinner. Really secure for the dogs as well. We will definitely be back again.

Lovely spot and very clean. We enjoyed a relaxing stay. Great shower and bath and full kitchen. We appreciated the tea, coffee, oil etc to feel at home. We couldn't use the fire as couldn't find any logs. Also ran out of toilet paper and didn't seem to be any spare! We had to buy our own powder for the washing machine which is fine but would have been great to know in advance!

Just back from a weeks stay at Brambles cottage. What can we say apart from it was fantastic. So very peaceful,beautiful scenery and LOADS of great places to walk from the door step. We brought our dog Boycee and he throughly enjoyed himself also. The garden was 100% secure so we could just relax and let Boycee run around and play freely. We would most definitely love to go back if welcomed. Thank you to Karen and Alistar. Nothing was a problem

Good sized house with comfortable beds and seating. Kitchen was really well equipped and everything there that we needed. The big shower was excellent and lots of towels available. Really close to granite trail and 2min walk away to Harbour Bar.

Our stay at the Studio was just what we needed. A place of calm. The Studio was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The locally sourced Breakfast basket & thoughtfully stocked fridge were really welcome. Sara responded promptly to our messages and she thoughtfully suggested a slightly delayed check out time which was very helpful and much appreciated for our situation. The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings of the coastal path and Crawfordsburn Country Park. Thank you for ensuring our stay at the Studio was just what we needed.

Everything about the Cottage is first-class. The view is very special and it’s such a peaceful location but also a great base for getting out and exploring. Everything was as described on the listing but Donna went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. (Even stocking the cupboards with the kids’ favourite cereal!) Would highly recommend.

Lovely cottage, very proactive hosts - cozy and homely.

A charming little gem in the heart of Hillsborough! No. 3 Arthur Street Cottage is cosy, well-appointed, and full of character. The space was spotless and thoughtfully decorated, making it a perfect spot to unwind. What really stood out was the warm welcome—there were cakes, bottled water, midnight snacks, and even a lovely bottle of wine waiting . Such a considerate and personal touch! Just a short stroll from the village shops and cafes, yet tucked away enough for peace and quiet. A truly delightful stay.

Helen’s cottage was lovely set in peaceful surroundings. Everything you needed to cook a meal was provided. The bed was very comfortable and house was very cosy , ideal spot for visiting lots of attractions would definitely stay here again Helen was very responsive and have lots of ideas to do

We had a lovely stay at Orla‘s house, the house is not a typical Airbnb rental. It has comfortable Furniture and plenty of amenities. You can tell it is her holiday home. We were very comfortable there and it is so close to everything with fabulous views. Would highly recommend.

We absolutely loved staying at Ursula’s place. It was stunning and had everything we needed while staying in Belfast. Ursula provided a bag of extra cords and chargers and a plate of biscuits to great us. The place was comfortable and lovely!
