The property matched the description provided, though the photographs give the impression of a larger space. Nevertheless, it perfectly met our requirements. Chris was exceptionally responsive to our inquiries, addressing various questions we had. The area was clean and filled with ample natural light. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the surrounding land for play, as well as the small game room stocked with toys, which was a welcome respite during a particularly rainy and windy day. The on-site washing machine was available for free use, and the washing line proved to be quite useful. Although the outdoor pool was not heated, it did not deter my children from taking a dip and having fun. I would certainly consider staying at this property again.

Absolutely stunning location! The views are outstanding and the private access direct to the estuary/beach is great. The garden is steep but that’s to be expected, we made great use of the pool and hot tub and it was an added bonus that we could use the paddle boards! The house its self is beautiful and spotlessly clean. A few things do need sorting though, there was the odd missing door handle, bifold doors are hard to use and the master bathroom door didn’t close. However these didn’t bother us at all as everything else was perfect. Easy walking distance to Crantock and Fistral beaches, which were both beautiful. We would 100% book again! We stayed for a weekend and it was perfect. A beautiful property in a very quiet and relaxing setting. Hosts provided all of the information we needed. We will certainly return for another visit in future!

We really enjoyed staying here as a group of five adults and 1 toddler. Plenty of room for us all and having 2 bathrooms was really great. The cabin is comfy and cosy, with beautiful views of the Cornish countryside. We used the cabin as a base to explore Cornwall as it is located centrally within easy reach of many popular towns. We loved coming back to the cabin in the evening and using the hot tub and waking up to the very friendly alpacas! You do have to drive up a very narrow and steep lane to reach the cabin but we were lucky that the lane is very quiet and so we never met any oncoming traffic. We would absolutely recommend and would love to return one day.

This was our family’s second stay at what is our favourite spot at Retallack. The lodge, being right on the water, feels peaceful and secluded, but is only a few minutes’ walk to the pool, restaurant and other amenities. Mel is a great host, always replying quickly, and the lodge has everything we needed for our stay. We’d definitely come back again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night break at Lusty lodge, we had superb weather over the 4 days aswelll. From start to finish Emma the host communicated very well with us. We would be happy to stay again . ☺️

We didn't spend alot of time there, due to the activities we had planned, but very comfortable and accommodating. Would stay again.

Great location for what we wanted. Quietly located in a little Cul de sac , with an allocated car parking space. Very spacious living area, very well equipped kitchen and supplies like tea, coffee, loo rolls , washing up liquid ect. Lovely double bedroom with balcony , twin room very spacious. We had a great relaxing stay , typical Cornish weather rain, sunshine and a touch of wind. Porthtown beach is lovely , as is the walk to Chapel Porth and that beach. Highly recommend

What an amazing find! Utterly private and feels very rural. Even though the lovely village of St Agnes and glorious beaches and towns are only a short distance away! Very cosy and eclectic home with some delicious treats and a bottle of fizz left by Kate and Simon. If you do stay, you HAVE TO use Sunny Spice, whether it’s for takeaway or eat in. Best South Indian food and yummy dosas I’ve had outside of London or Kerala! Thank you for making us so welcome and for the brilliant recommendations of places to go and local eateries.

Great little place in an unspoilt fishing village. We loved Mousehole. Pros Felt at home. Super comfy beds, great linen & soft towels. We all slept extremely well. Some beautiful lounge chairs. We loved the leather chair in the lounge. Perfect for a morning coffee and the papers! Peaceful and great views of St Michael’s Mount etc. Cons Not many. Very uncomfortable sofa. Few chipped plates Not related to the house but Mousehole. The parking was very tricky. To the point we were unable to park on 2 occasions and my partner had to park quite far out of the village and walk home in the rain very late at night. It’s something to bear in mind. We wish we just got the local bus or taxis everywhere.

We recently returned from an amazing three-night stay at this stunning home and cannot express enough how impressed we were. The décor is beautiful, with every detail in the home reflecting a high standard of quality. As a group of six, the house was perfect for us with it’s fabulous mix of comfortable/relaxing social spaces and split level bedrooms. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful living area with its gorgeous sea views and enjoyed leisurely breakfasts in the lovely dining/kitchen space. The house is incredibly well-equipped, offering everything we could need and more. Although we couldn't explore some of the recommended local restaurants due to being in the local area for a music festival, we wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area in search of a luxurious stay. Communication with Iveta before, during, and after our trip was excellent, providing all the necessary instructions that we needed. Overall, we had an amazing time in this beautiful home!

The most beautiful getaway. The views over the meadow to the sea and St Michael’s Mount are incredible any time of the day and we loved spending time on the terrace. Perfect location for walking, sea swims and east to get into town and explore the Cornish coast. The decor is also amazing with so much attention to detail. Will be back!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Bodannon. The house was perfect for our family and close by to the beach. We were also left a welcome pack and some small wrapped gifts in a gift bag which was a lovely thoughtful touch from the hosts. We were a little disappointed that we were unable to use the hot tub on the first night as it was still heating up following a clean and refill from previous guests (which can’t be moaned at really) but meant we only had this facility for 2 of the three nights we had booked the property. The hot tub lights were also not working, but not a major issue. The only down side of the house would be the size of the beds in the 2 bedrooms with single beds as the beds appeared more like caravan size single beds rather than standard singles. We would definately recommend this house to others as we very much enjoyed our stay.

We visit Cornwall every year and this is the first time staying in a house, rather than a holiday park. So pleased we did it. The house is stunning and has the most amazing views over Portreath. We barely had the TV on (rarity with a 13 & 15 yr olds)and walked down to the sea most evenings or just sat and watched the waves. Ryan was patient with my questions and extremely helpful and adaptable to requests. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one.

Our stay was nothing short of fantastic. Glenda is a brilliant and lovely host who was always so responsive and helpful! The apartment was spotlessly clean, cosy and peaceful to be in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone else looking to stay in the area! Thank you Glenda! :)

Made to feel at home, lots of little extras provided that we didn’t expect - cake, milk, eggs, tea, coffee.

A pristine annex which despite being on my own, it could easily accommodate 2 people. Clear instructions for check in were received in advance, which made arrival issue free. I would say a stay would be better suited during the spring / summer months, as the annex can feel a bit chilly when the heating is not on. I stayed from Thursday to Wednesday to attend a sporting event over the Friday and Saturday, but then found on Monday and Tuesday, a lot of the restaurants in the area were closed, so something to bare in mind. I was also unfortunate with the weather due to Storm Eowyn, but the accommodation kept me comfortable and I slept well every night.

This place is a real gem and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for beautiful views, peace and serenity. It's within a short walk of amazing beaches and close to all local amenities that you need. St. Ives is easily accessible and we used it as a base for many other Cornish locations - Penzance, Land's End and Falmouth were an easy drive away. The property itself, aside from being in a great location, was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and had all amenities that were advertised and the pictures in the listing were accurate and recent. Karen was a great host, very responsive and left a number of goodies in the kitchen to welcome us, which was an extra special touch that we didn't expect. We stayed for 7 nights and could easily have stayed longer.

A gorgeous house within walking distance of Hayle beach. The house was brilliantly appointed and was very comfortable. Gorgeous views over the estuary enhanced our stay. Annie was a great host - very responsive and informative.

Beautiful place! Would 100% stay again! We requested decorations to be put up for arrival as it was my mams 50th birthday. We sent decorations but they weren’t put up when we arrived. We spoke with Malcolm about this and he came straight over the next morning to do this while we were out and left some beautiful cupcakes, helped us rectify the heating as it was very hot, and was available at all times when we needed! Beautiful place! Very local to lots of shops and very close to the train station: beautiful views!

We had a lovely stay!!! Couldn’t believe the view or how big the cottage is!!! Would definitely stay again!!

My husband, myself and our dog had a fantastic holiday staying at Thimble Cottage. The cottage is beautiful with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. Its location is perfect for local walks and exploring and there is a lovely pub two doors down with extremely friendly staff and good food. Places like St Ives were just a short drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring such a beautiful part of Cornwall and would happily stay here again.

This was our second time staying at Porthcurno Barns, and the Big Barn did not disappoint! Beautifully furnished with a homely feel, and super spacious - would be ideal for larger families or friends getting together. The short walk to Porthcurno/Minack/Pedn Vounder and the coast path is a huge perk, and it's great to beat the crowds and not need to deal with the car park! We came with our 2 year old who had a fab time playing in the large grassy field next to the barn. The place was really well equipped for kids with high chairs and stairs gates provided.
