Short Tuscan Rentals - La Terrazza sul Mare

EnzoRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Mauro was very responsive. Check in instructions were good, the apartment was easy to find and it was great to have a big drive to park in. The apartment is spacious, clean and looks newly decorated and the view is lovely - we loved the early mornings out on the terrace. The apartment is well-equipped and the kitchen is very well stocked. With just a couple of small improvements, it could be 5 star - more than one pillow per head, sun loungers or a sofa on the terrace, a working parasol and a tidier garden. But overall we had a good stay. It should be noted that the apartment isn’t in Porto San Stefano but a short drive outside it and access to the beach (pictured) is not for the faint hearted - there’s no pavement and the road’s quite busy. Our dog wouldn’t have been able to manage the steps down to the underpass, nor would anyone with mobility issues or push chairs.

Garden house "Il Pepe"

Frank-FlorianRating, 5 stars8 months ago
A beautiful little house with a fantastic view of the sea. Bedroom, kitchen and bathroom are small but nicely furnished and you have everything you need. The terrace is very large with plenty of seating and beautiful tables. From there you have a wonderful view of the sea. The area consists of a few other vacation homes and is very quiet. There is a swimming pool that you can use and at the end of a long staircase an access to the sea (no beach but rocky but still great for swimming). Around the cottage is a small garden and many beautiful trees. Giovanni's father Eduardo welcomed us, showed us everything and was very friendly. If we had a question, we got an answer quickly. For shopping, you drive about 10-15 minutes by car to the next town. In summary: a very nice quiet place with perfect views with friendly people. We will be happy to come back.

Villa toscana in pietra

KayRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Wow, what a wonderful experience. My husband and I chose Marco and Marta’s Villa to renew our 30th Anniversary vows. It was a magical experience that we will treasure forever. We had our boys with us to celebrate and the Villa was perfect for all five of us. It was so cozy and the bedrooms were spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our Tuscan dinners including all the amenities. Marco and Marta had their wine and olive oil for us to enjoy during our stay. The wine was amazing and the olive oil so yummy. The yard was spectacular overlooking the Tuscan mountains with the lovely pool to enjoy daily and outdoor seating to savor those beautiful daily sunrises and sunsets. Marta and Marco were perfect hosts and went out of their way to help make our anniversary extra special. It was a true Tuscan experience and we highly recommend their Villa. It was everything we expected and much much more. We will definitely be back to stay in the future!

beautiful house on the lagoon

AlexandrRating, 5 stars75 months ago
Two-storey villa on the lake with private parking for cars (we had 2 cars, but I think there will fit 4), own garden, outdoor dining area and own access to the lake. On the ground floor there is a kitchen with a dishwasher, a bathroom with a washing machine, a dining area and 3 bedrooms: with a large double bed, with a smaller double bed and with two beds - an adult and a child. Second floor with separate entrance on street stairs. On the second floor there are 2 bedrooms with double beds, a kitchen with a coffee machine, 2 bathrooms, a common area with a double sofa and a single couch. We were 10 people and accommodated quite comfortably. Perfect for 2-4 families (depending on the number of children). The villa is far from the driveway, which allows you to enjoy silence and privacy. At the same time, there is a 3- to 5-minute walk to the sea shore with a sandy beach, and a 10-minute drive to the city of Porto Santo Stefano with a fish market, shops, restaurants and a ferry to Giglio Island.

Ocean-view villa with pool

ZoeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Laura’s place was just amazing. Even better than the photos show. Everyone was so helpful and Boris was great with the check in and suggesting places to visit such as beaches and restaurants. The town is is easy walking distance and a lovely walk down in the evening for dinners along quiet paths. We visited with another family and it was the perfect spot. The views are incredible, the garden and pool are beautiful and the house had everything we needed including an extra garden room which was great to give a bit more space for both families. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely love to come back in the future. Thank you so much Laura.

The villa is located in a beautiful location, overlooking the sea and a few minutes walk from a couple of coves (10 minutes to Spiaggia Mar Morto; 15 minutes to Le Cannelle). In the morning it has shade and excellent ventilation. The sunny afternoon, but the pool offers opportunities for refreshment and relaxation. It can comfortably accommodate 8 people. Ideal for those who love quiet life, far from the hustle and bustle of the village (Porto Santo Stefano is about a 20-minute drive, to do the shopping you have to plan because the supermarkets are all there). The amenities (bathroom and kitchen) are a little outdated, should be renovated.

Dream Villa by the sea + reserved beach

StephanieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I was initially hesitant to book this property because there were no prior reviews. I decided to take a chance and I’m very happy I did. The renovated home was very nicely appointed with new linens and cheerful decor. There was a large smart TV and routers throughout the home so there was a strong Wi-Fi signal on each level. The bathrooms and showers were all large, unlike most European bathrooms. The front garden and back patio provided great outdoor relaxing space and we had secure covered parking for the car. The highlight of the property was the amazing sea view from every level of the home. The location was perfect, being just a short walk away from the nearby tunnel which provides easy access to the city center/port. Federico, Isabella and Lorenzo were all very communicative, helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend this fabulous home.

Wow. What a location and what a high end garden and private surrounds to explore and play in. We were staying as an extended family of 6 adults and 2 children and this place was beyond expectations. Modern kitchen, stunning open lounge/dining room and two large verandas to cater for any conditions. The bedrooms all have ensuite’s and are completely serviceable. Any queries were immediately answered. Did I mention the INCREDIBLE location? Just go.

Wonderful villa, close to the amenities of the port but very peaceful and quiet. Well-kept, clean and tidy indoor and outdoor spaces and a unique panorama. The hosts are very kind, helpful and accommodating to the needs of the guests. I highly recommend staying in this home. I have been to the island of Giglio several times and I will definitely return, again to this accommodation. Another plus: mosquito repellent kits! It is not obvious to find them offered by the owners, it had never happened to me. Great guys! Thanks again and see you soon!

Beautiful villa and fantastic pool

MarkusRating, 5 stars34 months ago
This villa is perfect Mario is flexible when checking in and there and otherwise he is always available and helps immediately if you need anything. The location is the best I've ever had. In 5 minutes you can quickly walk to the sea and snorkel wonderfully. The sandy beach is also within easy reach, but the first few hundred meters are bar, restaurant and deck chairs. If you want to have a sandy beach to yourself, you can rent a bike at the bottom of the parking lot for 5 euros and cycle through a fantastic pine forest in 10 minutes to the beach 3. There are also prebuilt natural wooden huts that can be converted into the perfect shade space with one or two blankets. And as I said, you're right alone. The sea and the beach are fantastically beautiful, clear and clean. Also, there are no jellyfish. All around are beautiful harbor towns such as Porto Ercole, Porto santa Stefano,... which are easily accessible by car. Then there are Tuscan towns such as Capalbio, Manciano, Montemerano, Magliano,... which you can easily reach. Then of course the hot springs in Saturnia and also Rome can be visited comfortably in one day (by train to and back). There are also 2 nice restaurants and a lovely little shop in Ansedonia. The house itself is perfect for large families/groups. The rooms/ bathrooms are perfectly distributed. This creates a lot of privacy even in large groups. The garden also has lots of little beautiful places. Didn't even manage to take advantage of everyone. The pool is a nice size and quite deep in the back. One or the other head jump is loosely. The highlight is the covered terrace. It is really large and designed in such a way that even at well over 30 degrees you have a huge cool shade place that is pleasantly cool all day. The mosquitoes that address some are not a bad thing. But you have to burn 2-3 smoking coils and maybe 1-2 candles from about 8 pm. Then, that's not a problem. In the beginning, Mario told me that most people don't leave the villa at all and I now know why. For us, however, there was too much to discover nearby. But the "break days" in the villa were with the most beautiful. I hope we can come back. Look forward to it.

A terrace on the Argentario

ChrisRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Wonderful location with fantastic view of the sea. Very large, lovely garden. Perfect privacy. At the back of the domain, however, the owner has his own place to stay, with its own entrance. Fortunately, the owner was not present during our period, because that would have reduced that perfect privacy feeling a bit. It is an older villa but equipped with every comfort. Modern well equipped bathrooms. The kitchen is also very functional, but not modernized. We knew that in advance, because you can clearly see it in the photos. Silva is a perfect host : proactive and very friendly. The extra cleaning events we had requested were also perfectly arranged by Silva and excellently performed by Sabrina. The only downside of the location and the entire area is that there are many mosquitoes.

‘IL PEPERONCINO’ TUSCAN VILLA WITH PRIVATE POOL

BobRating, 5 stars21 months ago
Incredible property, incredible location, incredible host! If you get the chance to stay here we can't recommend it highly enough - the house, gardens and pool are extremely private, immaculate and sit nestled into a slight hillside looking out over the attached olive grove. You can literally sit with bread and oil from the grove while taking in the views, which are spectacular. Easy travel to Castiglione della Pescaia which is a wonderful little town with beaches, boutiques and bagnos. Ten minutes from Le Mortelle winery, who do a perfect lunch. To top it all off Rita the host is an absolute powerhouse who consistently went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and enjoyable. Whether that was almost instantly replacing the BBQ Gas, giving local recommendations, organising high chairs and travel cots, or even finding me a masseur the level of attention to detail and commitment to our needs was amongst the best we've ever had, thank you Rita!

Montebendico 6, Emma Villas.

Stefano is exactly the kind of host that you need when exploring a region like Tuscany. He's very attentive to your needs and is very responsive. The magazine that he has produced as a guide to exploring the region is a unique and exceptionally helpful resource. The property is gorgeous and looks exactly as photographed for the listing. Location is great - very, very private, but at the same time less than 10 minutes away from Castel Del Piano which has a really good Coop supermarket, restaurants, gelateria, butcher, etc. If you're planning to explore the heart of Tuscany, I can't think of a better property to use as your base than Casale Montebendico.
