Holiday rentals with a kayak in Possum Kingdom Lake

The house was not in town. You have to go thru the countryside to get there. It is very peaceful. They are in a nice neighborhood that is taken care of. The house was great!! It had everything we needed and was very clean. It was a peaceful place to spend the weekend. We would stay there again if we were in the area. Joyce

Alan’s place made my wife and I weekend really special. The inside of the home was immaculate and beautiful. And the scenery and all the amenities made for a really fun and relaxing weekend, check in and check out was very easy. The home is very close to downtown granbury and made it really convenient for activities. Would love to stay here again in the future, highly recommend!!

This was the perfect home for our multi-family stay with young kids! The house was well stocked with a crib, toys, books and games, and the pool and fishing access were a huge hit. The house was clean and comfortable! Very quick drive from the house into the Granbury town square. We would stay again!

Our family of 4 (+ our dog) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shorhaus on Lake Granbury. It was impeccably clean, the kitchen was very well provisioned and the beds were comfortable. We loved the game room and spent a lot of time playing ping pong & shuffleboard, but also really enjoyed cooking s'mores over the fire pit. It is an incredibly peaceful spot on the lake. The Canadian Geese and ducks seemed to enjoy it too! We didn't need much help, but both Mike & Christine were very quick & responsive when we had some questions. Loved it and we'd definitely go back.

Awesome place and very isolated. Water views from every window. Plenty of room for all guests. If you need a few days away from it all to recharge, you found it. The open floor plan and wall of windows are great. Plenty of things to do on the property to keep everyone entertained and away from tv’s and phones.

So peaceful!!! How is amazing! It was fun to watch the cows come home to graze. Beds were comfortable. It was nice having a tv in bedroom! Kitchen well equipped. Randy was so fast to respond to all our questions and very easy to work with.

If you are looking for a lake house right on the water with paddle boats and canoes to enjoy fun in the sun in Granbury, this is your home. A beautiful neighborhood, friendly atmosphere right on the water wish we could have stayed longer but we had to get back to work. This is a gem on the lake. So much room great kitchen barbecue pit worked great for a nice home-cooked meal.

Mara was extremely accommodating and helpful during our stay! Unfortunately our trip was cut short due to work but Mara helped us through it and we will be booking again if we come back to the area!!

Me and some my coworkers do travel work and was here working at the power plant and we had a long stay here. The place is great we enjoyed it and will definitely be staying there again if available in the future💯💯

We had a great stay. The house was even cuter than the pictures. Very clean, had everything we needed, and the gift basket was a nice surprise. Mara was a great host. The lake was peaceful and the neighbors were very friendly too.

So this is a nice place to relax. The views of the sunset are great. The place itself is nice, a lot like my cabin in South Dakota, so for us it was great. It’s not fancy but less fancy has its benefits. It is nice, however. The road in is pure Texas back country and will freak you out the 1st time, but not in a bad way, in a pioneer explorer kinda way. If you have kids they’d love it. We anchored our boat right out front for a few days but it’s shallow so if you have a deep-v type boat you might have to wade through a couple feet of water. But owning a boat you do that anyway if you’re living at all. So that was really nice although it makes it convenient to be more busy than you had planned, every vacationers curse. The kitchen amenities were fine, the bathroom was fine, it was all and all a nice place to stay. We were there for a week and kinda sad to leave the place. You will not have data on your devices and you’ll be surprised how much you like it. I have sprint and could text and call, which was a shame. My daughter has another provider and had no service at all, which was nice. The town of Graham is close, maybe 15ish miles, and it has everything, Walmart, many restaurants, all kinds of stuff, so it’s not like you’re a hundred miles from society if you want it, which you won’t. I’d recommend the place. The host Heidi is a great communicator but on the other hand, when you’re a guy like me that doesn’t want to communicate, she’s good at that, too, which was one of the nice parts Heidi probably didn’t even know she was doing, but I appreciated it, just being able to be and not be disturbed. Clean up after yourself, it’s a little home and not like a hotel that you trash and run. This was my 1st bnb type deal and I dug it a lot. No more expensive than a hotel, but a lot more like home.

This is our second year in a row going to Jan’s house. It’s an awesome space with plenty of room on the dock and the ability to moor your boat. She was very responsive and always friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back again.

Mara and Jerry were FANTASTIC hosts! I meet them in person and they could not have been more friendly. Their house is even better than the photos. It has been completely redone inside and was even better than expected! If you are able to book this place in the warmer weather and enjoy the lake and outside, DO IT! I will be rebooking their lake house again! Thank you Mara and Jerry

This place was a great getaway, the perfect cabin for me as a solo traveler.

The house was just as aspected! The back patio is a great place to spend the evening and the fishing is great off the dock at night. It’s located just a short drive or boat ride to the hungry fox and possum hollow. It’s off Broadway so you don’t have to worry about to rough of waves even on the windiest days. We will definitely be back! The host was proactive and made checking in and out easy!

What an amazing place to stay! We stayed over Thanksgiving and it was close enough to Ft. Worth to visit friends and Granbury where we had some work to do the next couple of days. Super peaceful and comfortable! Wish we had more time to be able to explore the ranch! The shower was fantastic and I was determined to use the hot tub even though it was cold outside! Really unique experience staying in a safari tent. I highly recommend it!

We had a great time . The hostess was very responsive and friendly. We enjoyed all the amenities - especially the big dock and kayaks! The space was small - but perfect for a weekend away with my husband ! Highly recommended 😁

If you are looking for a slice of heaven on PK lake - look no further! This place is the perfect lake house. Breathtaking views from the deck and living room area. We hope to return soon!

This place is beautiful! In the mornings we swam, went kayaking, paddle boarding and had a great time! In the evenings we caught quite a bit of catfish. The house is stocked with just about everything you would need to get by on vacation. One of the smoke detectors had a low battery. Within a couple hours, someone was there to install a new battery. The only issue we had was that my grandmother had a little difficulty getting on and off the dock. Everyone else could navigate the small obstacle quite well. All in all a Great Lake house. We plan on coming back! Thank you Joni for letting us know enjoy your wonderful cabin!

One of the best Airbnb stays I’ve ever had! The riverfront ranch setting in Mineral Wells was peaceful and beautiful. The decor was charming and cozy, and the home had everything I could ask for—from a fully stocked kitchen with top-notch cookware, to pet-friendly touches like treats and toys for my pups. Fishing in the backyard was amazing—spotted gar were biting nonstop! Can’t wait to come back.
