A mountain villa built more than 100 years ago , implanted on an imposing rock with a unique surroundings and a breathtaking view over the sea the city , Cascais and the mountain where it is inserted . The house was recently refurbished and enlarged with a modern and design construction enjoying the view and surroundings . You can see it from the top of the Serra de Sintra, to Guincho to Cabo Espichel. A stone's throw from the pedestrian paths of the Serra de Sintra and its monuments and next to good restaurants , cafes with good atmosphere , the small village has a supermarket and pharmacy for your tranquility. Guests have at their disposal a house with 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen, totally private and access to a large garden with an infinite pool where they can enjoy the wonderful view. I live on the property and am available to share stories and information about the region. I love cycling and know the Serra like the back of my hand. I can share the secrets of the mountains and advise the best restaurants in the region. Malveira da Serra, picturesque village next to Cascais and Lisbon (20 min), with hiking trails in Serra de Sintra and its monuments. Guincho Beach and its wild dunes with their unique beauty are a paradise for surfing/kite-surfing/windsurfing. I advise you to use your own car.

The tower is part of a larger property, but pretty far from the main house and extremely quiet. The gal at the house was super friendly to help with check in and our bags as we arrived early. We had an issue with wifi, which wasn't able to be resolved during our stay (realized it after business hours and the next day was a holiday), but they helped us access internet for a work meeting and were accommodating. The tower was spectacular and the view was something else. The room is small, but we spent most of our time in Sintra or on the rooftop!

Stunning beach house on the cliff

OMG - we LOVED our stay at this place! Exactly as described - the views from the terrace were breathtaking and we loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing. We were 2 couples and this was perfect for us. It's a very unique place. The stairways are quite small, so not ideal for those with mobility issues, but we loved the charm! The restaurant nearby (walkable) was also great. If you are looking for a relaxing place with unbeatable views, you cannot beat this one!

Our family of six loved this beach house, lots of natural light and modern design. Host Madalena and her Mum met us on arrival as they let us leave our luggage at house before check-in and before lunch nearby. Madalena also surprised our daughter with a birthday cake which was delightful. We will stay here again.

Villa Praia Grande | Private swimming pool + Walking beach

This was our favorite stay in all of Portugal! The house and views are breathtaking! The gorgeous yard with doors & windows opening the house to the sea breeze throughout, the second floor shower views I will dream of forever, the morning coffee on the back patio listening to the ocean and enjoying a glass of wine as the sun goes down over the horizon...it was breathtaking! The kitchen was well set up, starter coffee available and a store within 4 minutes drive. The ocean and restaurants and breach are all within walking distance. I recommend the beach that is the other direction from the restaurants as its private and for food the small restaurant directly near the house or one next to it far exceeded the big ones for tourists that are on the beach and were honestly just subpar. The house was very clean and had such great character. It is definitely a place to go if you want to relax and unwind and take is slow, away from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon or Porto. Absolutely LOVED it!
