What a beautiful home!! Our family of 13 (8 adults and 5 granddaughters) truly enjoyed our stay at Simon's place. The view of the Mississippi River was amazing and our granddaughters ran to the windows every time they heard the whistle of the train as it approached below. At first I was nervous about the steepness of the back yard, but the girls didn't venture too far down. We relaxed in the hot tub, regrouped as a family as we sat and shared stories around the fire pit Simon bought for our visit, roasted marshmallows and made amazing meals on the Blackstone grill. The house was spacious and allowed each family their own privacy. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking/baking utensils needed and the two refrigerators were a definite plus. We could have definitely spent a few more days enjoying this beautiful get-away! Thank you for your hospitality and for thinking of everything you did to make our stay so special.

Excellent cozy cabin in the woods! Very private setting feels like your a part of nature, lots of birds and deer around the cabin. Very nice touches around the cabin - high quality beds, sheets, linens, and even blankets. Comfortable couches and chairs inside and outside. Highly recommend!!

Great! Amazing! Beautiful! I would give even ten stars if this would be possible. House located in very stunning and peaceful area, perfect for getaway! Just nature and you! House itself its very clean and well finished, pretty much everything that you need its in there! And host is taking care of everything above and beyond! Can’t wait to visit again! Our stay at the cottage felt like a true retreat from the city. It honestly was more than we expected. The peaceful surroundings were like no other property we’ve stayed in. The home itself is beautifully built, thoughtfully decorated with all the needed modern amenities and spotless. The hosts were also welcoming and kind. We do hope to return!

Brandi's place is exceptional. Her home has been well-loved and is very well maintained. Everything is clean. The couch, the bed, the sheets, the bathroom, the kitchen. One of the drawbacks to airbnb's is the lack of cleanliness that is becoming the norm. Sheets, chairs, couches retain body odors. Not so with Brandi's place. It smells clean and fresh. I came to hike, and there is great hiking close by. Pike's Peak is walking distance, a bit more than a mile, but the exceptional experience is Effigy Mounds National Monument. It's a quick 10 minute drive. It is an incredibly beautiful park with wonderful vistas of the great Mississippi. A genuinely sacred place.

Mandi’s place is ideal for a couple or a small family or two couples. Plenty of room, two bathrooms with tub and shower. Kitchen that is very functional for eating in. Nice deck to watch the boats and people enjoy the Mississippi, a nice yard, privacy if you want it. Also, Mandy and her business partner are very gracious, approachable hosts. We came once, just my husband and I and then again with our son, daughter in law and their two toddlers and it was lovely both times.

I’m so grateful to have found this place for a last-minute overnight! Jill and Rob were warm and friendly, my teens enjoyed stretching their legs after a long car ride by romping with the dogs in the yard, and even in the midst of the serene countryside the WiFi was strong for my work meeting. The Packer-themed donkey and goats were just as happy to see us at 6 am as they were the night before at 6 pm, maybe because they remembered that we saved half of the bag of carrots we brought along just for them ;) While we were fans of the farnimals, they have defined spaces and very conscientious owners. You could certainly enjoy a stay here and choose not to have contact with them at all if that is your preference. The only wildlife encounter you won’t be able to avoid while spending time outside is the serenade of birdsongs, which was a great way to start my day from the swing on the patio with a mug of hot coffee in hand.

Location is perfect: quiet and private, with lots to explore in the surrounding area. Cabin is lovely, comfortable, and very well equipped with everything we needed for a five-day stay. This was our second visit at the cabin — we will definitely be back again!
