This property truly surpasses the photos. Beautifully decorated with a wide selection of art, books, crockery, fabrics, glassware , etc. We especially loved the main bedroom, which feels like a lush greenhouse, full of greenery. Every corner of the property is thoughtfully decorated and impeccably maintained. We highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates design and nature.

Could not have asked for a better spot. Great space, clean and warm. Everything in top condition and walking distance from everything you could need.

This is the most stunning place. A beautiful house, loads of space. We loved the open space in the main living area. It has everything you need. The outside space is exceptional, offering eating and seating areas with a fabulous pool. Even on the hottest days, it was cool and relaxing. The town of Oudtshoorn is friendly and has some wonderful cafes and restaurants, plus some brilliant activities just out of town (caves, wildlife ranch, hiking). Our hosts were the very best we have ever had, friendly, helpful, courteous and offered some great ideas for the area. This home is most definitely the best we have ever stayed in and we will be definitely back as often as we can! Thank you to this fabulous family!

The stay was great thanks, The only downfall was that i left 2 i tems there and when i call to asked to take it to postnet for courier it to me at my own cost it was denied by the lady that picked up the call and that i must send a courier to them. Loen was a great host for the staying there and helpfull

We spent our days walking through peaceful horse paddocks, swimming in the river, and our evenings curled up in front of the fireplace, listening to the soft rhythm of rain on the roof. It was pure magic. Even when our road trip took a turn with a flat tyre and unexpected changes, Joe and Robynn wrapped us in warmth and care. They went above and beyond to remove every ounce of stress and helped make this the most cherished part of our journey. Incredibly peaceful and calm mountain-hiding experience in the Karoo, with all the facilities and necessities you'd need, and more. Thoughtful attention to detail and kind and responsive host. Definitely recommended for those that want to escape the city buzz!

Spekboom is truly a gem in Prince Albert, lovingly renovated and seamlessly modernized, it’s bright, airy, and more than spacious enough for six people. The highlight is the tasteful interior design—every detail has been thought through so perfectly that I wouldn’t change a single thing. It’s simply flawless! You can disconnect completely, sleep peacefully to the soothing sound of the nearby stream, and marvel at the most breathtaking starry skies in the evening. For breakfast, the neighboring café—a true design masterpiece—offers a delightful start to the day, and organic food is conveniently available right next door. There’s no better spot for those seeking peace and inspiration. Elam is an exceptional host! Always accessible and incredibly knowledgeable. Her attention to detail is remarkable and her warm and open personality creates a welcoming andand comfortable atmosphere, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.

The place was what I had hoped for, and more. Felt like a piece of heaven. Perfect hide away if you are looking for some peace and quiet outside the city. The hosts were welcoming, hospitable and very friendly. They recommended some great restaurants and places to visit too. Would go back again!

The De Kombuys cottage is a realy wonderful stop in Oudtschoorn. And It really worth a few more kilometer if you are in the area. We had a stop for one night with our family of 5. We had the pleasure to enjoy very nice cottage , just renovated with a lot of taste and astute . I was Lovely. For diner we enjoyed a full wagyu discovery. All the family loved it. We added to the pleasure with a 2015 De Kombuys shiraz (for the adults only). All the team was really nice and helpful. It a place that we we all remember.

I made an error in the booking as we were 8 pax and the house only accomodated 6. Luther and Gerard arranged an entire separe bedroom to accommodate us. They were amazing. Thanks guys you rock!

Loved our stay here! Within walking distance to many amenities in the town! The house is spacious with many areas to sit and chat! We loved our stay! The indoor fire place / braai area was great because it was in the kitchen! What a smart idea!

Gloria's little apartment Is a real gem. Nested in a beautiful countryside on the Road 62, Is nicely deorated, very well equipped, with confy beds. The must Is for sure Gloria and her family. Nice, communicative e very warmly welcoming. We could not ask for more!!! Many beautiful spots in the neighborhood. 100% recommended!

I cannot reccmmendly this place enough. What a fantastic host, the cottage itself...neat, clean, stocked with special treats. It is beautiful, has everything you need. The photos don't do it justice! Johan was so welcoming and left some cold watermelon for us on arrival in the fridge...we arrived after 4pm and it was 40 degrees.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place to be. The most beautiful views with the mountains all around you and the never ending stars at night. The braai will be remembered.
