Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn

My partner and I stayed at Jessica's listing for our annual trip to NYC and absolutely loved the place! We love Bed-Stuy and almost always choose to stay in this neighborhood. Jessica left great recommendations for food and shopping in the area, had a cute little radio playing a local jazz station when we arrived, and made the apartment feel like a home away from home.

I would definitely recommend staying here. I was celebrating my birthday & Morlisa surprised me with a bottle of Rose☺️(I’m 24). If you want somewhere to stay that’s comfortable & less chaotic than staying in a hotel within Manhattan, this is the place. Close to the JFK airport too.

Mateo & Gregory’s place is immaculate and very comfortable. We had a difficult journey from JFK and arrived late. Mateo still gave us a warm welcome and pointed us to a favourite Mexican restaurant nearby. The house is a beautiful brown stone terraced property on a quiet street in a vibrant, colourful, busy area. The accommodation and the whole house is kept in pristine condition with all mod cons. We received superb tips about best local places to eat and drink (there are many), could come and go as we pleased, received free bottled water, free tickets to Brooklyn Botanic Garden (superb) & Brooklyn Museum, had use of the beautiful back garden, were able to leave our luggage after check out and even had a car arranged to take us back to the airport. That took all the stress out of our last day and was above and beyond. Mateo & Gregory take hosting to a new level. Go…you will not be disappointed.

Close to the subway and it fit us (five people) pretty well

Nos encantó el departamento y Camille fue muy amable. Nos permitió dejar las valijas antes del horarios del check-in, para que podamos ir a recorrer la ciudad más cómodos. El departamento estaba limpio y es súper cómodo. El barrio es muy tranquilo, aunque no nos sentimos cómodos para movernos a pie de noche. No tiene TV, esto es algo que no se aclara, pero no fue necesario ya que pasamos la mayor parte del tiempo recorriendo la ciudad. Es un departamento ideal para una pareja que viaja a conocer la ciudad. Gracias Camille! Volveríamos sin lugar a dudas.

We really enjoyed our stay - the unit was absolutely perfect for what we needed and acted as the perfect base for all things New York being a one minute walk from the station! Krystal was extremely friendly, responsive and helpful - would highly recommend !

Had a fantastic stay at Michael's place. Michael was great with check-in and out, flexible with times and even helped us with our luggage. He provided a really handy sheet of local recs which we made great use of. Michael's place is a beautiful period house in Brooklyn with walkable access to the Q train to Manhattan or Coney Island and a short walk from Prospect Park. The apartment is on one private floor with its own balcony space. The apartment is beautifully decorated and includes more amenities than you could need. There is one very spacious double bedroom with an en-suite toilet, and a sofa bed in the back half of the lounge which converts to a second bedroom. Huge kitchen with excellent cooking facilities and a beautiful bathroom with a walk-in shower and period features.

Excellent home in a fabulous neighborhood! Sara was incredibly responsive and friendly throughout our stay. There wasn't any air-conditioning to ease the heat of the really hot days, but the location and cleanliness of the unit was worth the steamy moments. Also - it is very easy to find parking on this street! What an unexpected surprise!

Ed’s place is incredibly charming and cozy. It’s in an amazing location with access to multiple train lines, buses and ferries. So many great restaurants nearby as well as steps to just about anything you need. The stairs are a bit of a workout, but as long as that is something you can do, it’s well worth the climb to this Cobble Hill gem.

I had such a lovely stay here during my trip. The location in Putnam was super lively and felt very local, in the best way. I especially loved grabbing a coffee from the nearby coffee shop and drinking it in the private backyard to the sound of the morning birds. Also, only a 10 min walk to the C train to Manhattan! The apartment itself was the perfect size for me, with a full kitchen and fridge which made it really easy to cook when I wasn’t dining out. The private entrance and multiple security doors made me feel really safe, which I massively appreciated as a solo traveler. I did all my communication through Linda, (co-host) and she was absolutely lovely. Warm, friendly, super responsive and had some great food recommendations that really made the trip feel more personal. It was a smooth check-in and she happily accommodated my later arrival which I’m so thankful for. Honestly, I’d 100% stay here again next time I’m in NYC. Made great memories I’ll cherish forever.

The apartment was just as shown. Clean and quite comfortable. We had asked for the air conditioner to be going when we arrived and it was beautifully cool when we entered. Of course the long flight of stairs was challenging but worth it. We liked the fact that the grocery and laundromat were so close. The neighborhood was very safe and convenient to so many things Jacqueline responded quickly and was always helpful. We would easily recommend her apartment for a Brooklyn stay.

Linsey’s place was easy to settle into—comfortable, welcoming, and thoughtfully prepared. Every detail was covered, from kid-friendly dishes and towels to an iron and teapot, making it feel like a home away from home. The space was quiet and restful after full days exploring the city, and the lighting in the evening made it feel especially cozy. Clear instructions and room controls helped us feel self-sufficient, and the toys for the kids were such a sweet bonus. Linsey’s communication was detailed and considerate throughout. We also loved Café Spaghetti just around the corner—a neighborhood gem with great hours and a relaxed vibe perfect for little ones.

Great place to stay, located near subway stations that can take you anywhere. The house was very nice and Earl was very responsive. I look forward to coming back.

Jennifer offers so many nice touches to make you feel at home! The bathroom has qtips, cotton balls, makeup wipes and even a specially designated makeup towel! Great shower water pressure and water gets nice and hot quickly! There were 2 beers and 2 cokes in the fridge, with a welcome note! We were traveling in a large van, and had no trouble parking it directly in front of the apartment, only had to move it for street cleaning on Thursday. Jennifer responded to my questions regarding recommendations, almost immediately. Bus lines and subway station are within walking distance. Catholic Church at the end of the block. Enjoyed our stay!

My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the amazing home of Peter and Jess! It is so welcoming, beautifully laid out and has every amenity a guest could need, plus extra thoughtful touches. Check-in was a breeze, the home was immaculate and our bedroom seriously had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! Having the rarity of a backyard to enjoy - especially in Brooklyn - was such an added bonus, and they went out of their way to welcome our dogs! The location was perfect - everything you could ever need, including restaurants and shops, is in walking distance. We were able to find nearby parking throughout our visit. The privilege of being guests in their beautiful home for the weekend of our son's wedding added so much enjoyment and comfort to such a celebratory event!

Comfortable and quiet place for a quick Brooklyn getaway.

Had an amazing stay at Styopa’s place! It was clean, and just as pictures described. Centrally located, and close to train stations too. Styopa answered all questions I had, and allowed me to check in early too! Check in/out was a breeze as well. I’d 100% come back to stay here next time I’m in Brooklyn!! Thanks again :)

There was a lovely welcome package with a note, cookies and water awaiting us. They texted through Airbnb to make sure our stay was going well and we didn't need anything. Overall it was such an easy and relaxing experience that made our first trip to NYC a delight. I would come back again and highly recommend Timothy's place to everyone!!! Thanks so much.

Anthony is the best host I’ve ever had! So friendly, welcoming, and super responsive. He has clearly poured ample love and care into the space—it is immaculate, stylish, well-equipped, and truly an easy Williamsburg oasis!

Our family of 4 stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to the path in 5 min to connect to the NYC subways. On the walk, you pass multiple cafes and coffee shops. Great craft beer and wine shop on the corner. Pizza shop, Basile’s, right next to the PATH is perfect for a late night snack. The beds were comfortable, and even though there was some street noise heard at night, a sound machine was provided to help lull you to sleep. The only thing you have to be aware of is the unit is located on the 2nd floor, and you have to go up a narrow set of stairs which can be hard with multiple suitcases. Other than that, a comfortable and convenient place to stay with everything within walking distance!

Stayed here and used the MTA bus and subway. So much nearby and a great space. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom too.

Great host, amazing location, and quite cute neighborhood incredibly close to the PATH! Hoboken was great and getting into Manhattan was incredibly convenient. The Airbnb was spotless and the couch was already made for my dad. Roomy, homey, and a great stay. Loved this place!! If I ever need an Airbnb in Hoboken I will look to rebook this place
