Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Province of Matera

Phenomenal location with beautiful views. Accommodations were great and communication with host was easy. I locked us out of the apartment and host was there very quickly to let us in. We rented a car and the parking is quite expensive and confusing, which our host notified us about. I would definitely recommend Daniela’s place and would come back again. It’s a very local feel, but close enough to be in the “thick of things”.

Teresa is a great host. She is a traveler herself and knows the needs of fellow travelers. She greeted us at the door and gave us a run down of the house straight away, as well as the town and region. She was always quick to reply and offered a great deal of help whenever needed. Regarding the house, it was equipped with everything we needed. We felt at home. Also, Trivigno, in which the house is located, is a lovely small Italian town. Its authentic Italian charm was exactly what we were looking for. If we come to Italy again, we’ll definitely go back. Thanks for your great hospitality, Teresa. Grazie!

I highly recommend this beautiful house in Matera, it’s so cozy and in the perfect location. The view from the terrace is so amazing! Giuseppe is a wonderful host, very responsive and he let us check in early, which was great because my small kids were tired. Thanks so much for everything!

The location was fantastic - right around the corner of the Duomo, heart of Sassi. We got breakfast vouchers from the host, which we could use at the cafe nearby. Nino was friendly host and always available when we needed him!

The view was STUNNING and the appartamento felt stylish and welcoming. If you’re going to Matera, stay here. You will not be disappointed!

Anna’s place lived up to expectations and it was appreciated that her husband met us and also went with us to check where we had parked (illegally it turned out ). There are steps so it pays to reduce weight if able. The house was great with a comfortable bed , washing machine a bonus and views from the balcony.

Luciano is awesome, the apartment is awesome, and Matera is awesome. We stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute! The view of the Sassi from the small balcony is something we spent hours enjoying and will never forget. It was fun to stay in a cave and yet enjoy modern amenities. Luciano left us great reading material about Matera and made excellent recommendations for food and sight seeing. We would not hesitate to stay again if we are lucky enough to come to Italy again. Carmelita's place was amazing! located conveniently - walking distance to old town and there are parking spaces around. Carmelita has been super helpful in answering all our questions, would recommend if you are visiting Matera!

Fabulous! From Maria's homemade treats for weary travellers to Franco's detailed welcome. The property has everything and more, and a short stroll to the historical centre. Highly recommended.

He shared so many local recommendations and went above and beyond in every aspect of ensuring we had a comfortable and wonderful stay. A host that truly wants his guests to feel at home. Ideally located accommodation in a peripheral neighborhood without through traffic and yet very close to the center, which is easy to reach on foot. The apartment is stylishly furnished and everything you need is available. On the small balcony, we had breakfast and enjoyed the view of the old town and the countryside. Beautiful place that is very close to the city center and all of the sights of Matera. You can walk everywhere from the apartment. We especially appreciated private parking, where we could keep our car safe. The host was proactive, helped us park on arrival, and very responsive. Excellent experience, would absolutely stay again.

I stayed for a few days at Anna's place with my dog. It was wonderful! Right in the middle of nature in a small village, there are plenty of trails to hike around this area. Anna and her family were incredibly friendly. Anna even took the time to show me around the village and its church! The apartment is very cozy, with a beautiful wood stove. I highly recommend!

This flat was amazing! The view from the bedroom and terrace is incredible. All super clean and tidy. Pasquale was very responsive and helpful. Easy to walk into the main centre. Would recommend.

Emanuele's property was really clean, in good order and well organized. It was very close to the old city and parking around was ok to find ( payable ). There is a park outside and some teens gather and party until night so that made some noise but closing the windows helped a bit. The balcony was really good but had no shade made so kind of useless in the sunny hot weather Overall the property was great for a one night stay Thank you

In one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, the location, a complete apartment, was in a beautiful home. Beautiful streets and very well maintained, a good supermarket, beautiful views on all sides. Too bad the directions, because we had driven into the village on the wrong side, was no longer correct, but with the help of all people from the village we ended up getting there. Highly recommended if you like old and tranquility, the surroundings are okay, but no things nearby.

We had a great stay. The apartment situated in the attic but it was not that bad although we have suitcases, we left them in the trunk, only took necessary items. The apartment has everything we need, more than enough I would say, spacious and comfortable. The area was very quiet. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at Vito's, in a very pleasant apartment to live in and close to the splendid city of Matera. We enjoyed the welcome by the cleaning lady and the breakfast table. We recommend and will happily return if we come back to Matera who delighted us.

Accommodation is great for a family and parking was always available. Location is very convenient. 2mins walk to the supermarket and restaurants, 5mins to the old town. Paolo was fantastic and provided lots of useful information on sites to visit, restaurants etc.
