House holiday rentals in Puerto Carrillo

Our family of 6 (kids ages 18, 15, 13 and 9) spent 6 amazing days at Villa Las Brisas. The house has a great layout - 3 bedrooms down with the master up. It was clean upon arrival and definitely has a WOW factor when you take that first view out over the pool. So beautiful! The house was well stocked with everything we needed - toilet paper, paper towels, extra sheets and towels, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, shampoo & body wash. We spent most of our time outside on the deck and in the pool. There's even an outdoor shower and a poolside bathroom. AC in all bedrooms and main living area worked great. It helped to keep bedroom doors closed to maximize AC. The walk down to the beach was 12 minutes - and then we walked along the beach into the main part of town which was another 10-15 minutes. Our favorite restaurants were Coco's (nachos were so good!) and Bahia Hotel Bar and Restaurant. We also ended up at the Supermercado Rindemás for groceries. Ridley was the best host!

Had an amazing stay ! Location gives you a real feel of Costa Rica, she was not kidding when she said you need a 4X4 to access the property. Love the home, love the view, and love the easy communication with the host.

Casa Samara was described as family friendly, and it sure was! The kids *loved* the pool and we could walk right out the front gate to the beach. It was about a 25 minute walk (with kids) to downtown Samara. The hosts were so responsive when we extended our stay and needed some clean sheets. All of the rooms had fans and all of the beds had bug nets. 💜

Daryl Is an amazing host who is kind and genuine. Being a first time traveler to Nosara, we truly had a great experience. Jade and Daryl are very responsive and the space is beautiful. Location is near the beach and shops. We hope to return and stay again.

My wife and I had an amazing stay at this home. Super clean and quick responses when I had questions. The howler monkey family that would sometimes visit were an added bonus. Would highly recommended this home.

We had the most amazing stay in this beautiful retreat! The location is simply amazing, the views of the valley were breathtaking and we loved sitting on the balcony looking out at the ocean view! We enjoyed the drive into Samara each day, and there were 2 amazing beaches just a few minutes from the house! The howler monkeys were everyone's highlight as they came to visit the surrounding trees a few times. The hosts were amazing and the property manager and staff were super friendly and helpful. We simply can't say enough about this place, and we're already looking at the calendar to see when we can return for another stay!

Chelsea was super easy to communicate with and she had wonderful suggestions/ responses to my many questions. The house is magical! Felt like we were in a castle! The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the towels and bed linens were soft and fluffy. We had howler monkeys around every morning and some friendly neighborhood dogs stopped by for attention. All in all it was an amazing stay at Chelsea's place!

This property was perfect for the retreat we were hopeful for. The home is removed from the noise and dust of the main road allowing for very relaxing afternoons in the pool. The pool was a great way to cool off, particularly because it is shaded from the hot afternoon sun. The patio was also a great place to hangout and enjoy the surrounding beauty. We observed monkeys in the trees most days and saw fireflies behind the house at night. The kitchen was well equipped; we prepared a number of meals there. The bathrooms are well maintained and plenty of towels are provided. The beds were comfortable and each room had great natural light. The property is very close to the main part of town (5 minute drive) and there is a market walking distance (5 minute walk). The provided bikes made getting to the beach very easy. We are already dreaming of our next trip to this property.

This was our second time staying in Puerto Carrillo area and we loved it. One of our favorite places. The house was great for 4 people. Had everything you would need. The pool area is beautiful and private and we loved listening to the birds and animals at night. The TV was broken when we arrived and Danny responded to us immediately and brought us a new TV the next day. Would recommend this place!!!

Words cannot describe Gabby’s house, it was AMAZING! For prior vacations, we have stayed in houses in Playa Carrillo, Samara, and Quepos and Casa Del Sol by-far tops ALL of those houses. From the million dollar view, to the quality of the build/house, to the AWESOME DECOR, to the on-site hosts (Henry and Zeidy), ALL of it was top notch! When you’re in the backyard/in the pool, of course you feel like you’re at the beach, but that continues inside with all of the homey beach house decor! And did I mention the AC??? Ice cold, perfect for coming in from a long day fishing or beach! Next mention is Henry and Zeidy, UNBELIEVABLY welcoming and attentive, yet they know how to respect privacy. If you’ve never stayed at a house with daily cleaning, it’s a GAME CHANGER. Any issue or request, taken care of immediately. And not to mention Zeidy’s cooking! We had 3 lunches and 2 dinners prepared by Zeidy, simply delicious! We are even talking about booking again during the dry season!

We had a lovely stay at the House of G. Favourite things about this place were the views of the ocean, the mix of fruit trees, hearing howler monkeys, bird watching (and listening), and the modern architecture. Air conditioning was only on the upper floor bedrooms, so the upper bathrm was hot and the lower level got pretty hot too. The ceiling fans helped and so did the breeze. On the plus side, it forced us to use the outdoor living space more than we probably would have if the lower level had a/c and the pool/outdoor shower offered a quick refresher when needed. The place required a key transfer from super friendly Luis. It would have been easier and more private if there was a lock box setup, but then we wouldn’t have met Luis, so key swapped worked out just fine. We found it easier to make the quick drive to Samara than walk, to avoid walking on the narrow main road. It was easy to find on street parking in Samara. Thank you Shannon for hosting & Luis for managing the property!

This place is awesome. Right on the beach. Make breakfast while seeing and hearing the ocean. Kitchen stocked to cook at home if you want. Air conditions keeps it perfectly cool. 10 minute walk to town. On site at the property was Maggie who could not have been more helpful and informative. She gave us the best info for eating and surfing. A very special person. We will definitely be back.

Malena's place is absolutely stunning and the perfect home base to explore Santa Teresa from. Waking up to the sunrise every morning looking out over the jungle and the mountains was magical, every detail of the place and property is beautiful, and Malena was an awesome host!

I work remote and took my work to the mountains. I stayed at this hotel for a whole month. The mountains are beautiful and amazing to wake up to every morning. The sunrises and star gazing on this mountain was phenomenal. The fruitful trees that the monkeys have to climb daily was so inspiring to watch how God provides to all species. The sounds of the birds singing in the jungle was a great experience for my morning coffee. And last but not least the amazing staff here! I am blessed to have found this wonderful place to stay for a month! The food was amazing, and the service was excellent. Staff responded timely and very helpful. Great WiFi connectivity, electricity worked well, plenty of hot water. You will need a 4x4 vehicle or a taxi that provides it. Beaches are nearby and the culture was great to visit and explore. I see why this area specifically is the blue zone. Pura vida lives in this mountain top. Definitely recommend. Can’t wait to visit again. Glamping!!

Very comfortable and quiet place. Close to beaches! Recommended!

Very nice house off the beaten costal track in the hills. Still you reach the Playa Carillo in 15min by car. It‘s rather new and therefore in very good order. It has everything you need and we felt comfortable right from the beginning. It has window shields, AC and a fully stocked kitchen. Even 2 bathrooms as the house could host 4 pax with bed sofa. But then I would say it gets really „cosy“. The only missing was warm water but in the hot climate not too bad. Just to note that there are weekend houses on both sides (and a construction site) and it can get more noisy Fri-Sun. We recommend it very much.

Camila was a great host. She was proactive with recommendations and very responsive when needed. The house was ideal, spacious and well located.

Casa Aspen defines Pura Vida! We had a wonderful stay at Casa Aspen. The villa is beautiful. There was plenty of room for my wife and I, our two adult sons and daughter in law. Easy walk to town and beach. Many excellent restaurants and sodas. We loved the outdoor shower after a day at the beach and the pool was very refreshing. Extras including bikes, beach chairs, beach umbrellas and new washer and dryer. Sámara is a fun town. I recommend Casa Aspen.

A beautiful, private and very quiet place. The house and rooms are very comfortable, clean and tidy. The Host is attentive and helpful to the needs of her guests.

We had the most incredible time at this gorgeous spot. Daniella was wonderful to deal with, so easy to get a hold of, attentive and great to chat with. Always had excellent suggestions and recommendations, she made our stay feel so easy and she was so accommodating. The house is very well thought out, spacious beyond what the photos show and the most amazing backyard filled with howler monkeys throughout the trees that greet you in the mornings and afternoons. Had absolutely everything you could think of needing for a relaxing adults trip. A 5 minute drive to the beach town of Samara, which was wonderful to adventure around, so many great beach bars and open market style restaurants with fantastic food! Heritage Bar was a favourite with some of the best burgers and Indian food I’ve ever had! Only 10 minutes to playa carillo. I wish we had booked this spot for longer!

We felt very comfortable in the beautiful casita of cally and scott. On the terrace with the pool opposite the rainforest and yet central in Samara and not far from the beach, you could relax wonderfully. And listen to the howler monkeys and birds. Even a hummingbird came to the property. Cally and Scott were super accessible. Your explanations regarding the locks, etc. were simple and good. Overall, we found a few too many rules for our taste, but that also made everything clear. The decor of the house is tasteful, which we loved.

Great location, cozy and modern home, we would definitely go back to the place , as the only recommendation to improve the lock of the entrance gate!
