House holiday rentals in Punta Uva

This was s last minute booking and we ended up getting in late at night. Kristel was very helpful at the late hour and we had a terrific stay! It was a little difficult to find in the dark and rain but easy to find in the daytime!!

Excellent place to stay in Playa Chiiquita. Quick, easy walk to the beach access, on a small dead end road, super clean, wonderfully comfortable, nice refreshing pool, beautiful garden, and very responsive host. Highly recommend except for perhaps by doing so it might be hard to get a reservation next time ;)

this place was as we had hoped, it was so nice having a private pool for when it got hot and humid and we didn't want to walk to the beach! having a black sand beach 5 minutes away was so beautiful as well. we really enjoyed our stay

Unique lodging experience. Highly recommend. Beautiful setting and convenient to beaches, nearby parks/reserves, and excursions, and Puerto Viejo. Perfect for those that enjoy outdoor eating areas and lounging. Somewhat rustic. Place is very well decorated — quite an experience — sad to leave!

Excelente villa y ubicación. Tuvimos un pequeño problema con la ducha de uno de los baños y César acudió en menos de 5 min a solucionarlo y lo hizo también rapidísimo! Muy amable y servicial! Un 10!!

Jessica’s villa is absolutely stunning – beautifully located in the heart of nature, with breathtaking views all around. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were in paradise. The house itself is super comfortable, stylish, and very “hot” in every sense – both modern and full of character! Surrounded by lush greenery, tropical birds, butterflies, and even monkeys, every morning felt like a scene from a dream. It was the perfect escape from the city and a chance to truly connect with nature. We completely fell in love with Costa Rica – its peaceful vibe, amazing wildlife, and kind people. Thank you, Jessica, for creating such a magical space. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Tracie and Terry’s place. They were very welcoming and had a few grocery items to get us started. We were also treated to some of Tracie’s baking - her chocolate chip cookies are amazing! The kitchen was very well stocked of everything you’d need. The wrap around porch is gorgeous and the view from the back of the house makes you feel a world away. This is a great opportunity to spot birds and other wildlife. We were very lucky to see many Green McCaws and Toucans in addition to others. You are a little out of town so I’d recommend having a vehicle. We love the ability to go explore town and then return to the peace and tranquility of the house. The house is well laid out. Plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The fans are great and work well to keep the house cool. No need for AC. The house is well maintained. Tracie and Terry were there if needed but not at all intrusive. They had great local recommendations. We hope to visit again.

This is the most relaxed I have been in years. I’d stay a year if I could afford it. The sounds of nature just make it so easy to drift off to a nice sleep. The outside kitchen was not difficult to work with. Everything I needed was literally right there. The pool is perfect for relaxing in and is private. While I have a child, it was particularly nice to have a kid free atmosphere where you can just relax. There are so many things to do near by and Jim and his wife are lovely. Luna, the pup, is an absolute joy. I already miss it and can’t wait to come back! Thank you for your hospitality and the relaxing weekend. 🫶🏽

We had such an amazing time at Sarah’s place! Very serene and less than 3 minute walk to the beach. There is so much to do in this area and rides to town are easy to coordinate with Banana Azul hotel just down the street (or you can rent bikes or drive). The Banana Azul hotel also has a great restaurant right on the beach. The bedroom villa has a wall air conditioner and fan above the bed, so it was very cool at night. It was so amazing to wake up to the monkeys and toucans every morning. Sarah also helped to arrange massages and an incredible meal by Chef David. I can’t say enough good things about our stay we’ll definitely be back.

Chris's place is very comfortable, and conveniently located to the beach and Cahuita downtown. There's a grocery store not far (maybe 15 min driving), and the kitchen is equipped for cooking meals. The beds are comfortable and the outdoor showers are amazing. The yard welcomes all sorts of wildlife as well - birds, agouti, and even a sloth presented itself! I would stay here again.

Wir waren bei der Ankunft etwas überrascht über das zweite Haus gleich nebenan und der Baustelle gleich hinter dem Haus - aber die absolute Traumlage und das coole Haus sind unschlagbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden sofort wieder buchen - ein solcher Traumstrand in Gehdistanz lässt sich schwer finden. Vielen Dank Caro für dieses wunderschöne Erlebnis!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Just got back from the most magical getaway in Cahuita, Costa Rica, and I can't stop smiling! 😍 This Airbnb was more than just a place to stay; it felt like a little sanctuary. My room was cozy and inviting, making it hard to leave! But let’s talk about the pool! 🏊‍♀️💦 It became my personal slice of heaven. I loved starting my mornings with a swim, surrounded by lush greenery. The sunsets by the pool were straight out of a postcard! 🌅 Every moment was filled with peace and joy. Thank you to our amazing hosts for making this experience unforgettable. If you’re looking for comfort and a taste of tropical paradise, look no further! I’m already dreaming of my next visit! 🌴❤️

If you’re looking for a place to stay in the Caribbean region of Costa Rica, this is hands down your best bet. It’s way better than a hotel, hostel, or even a typical Airbnb. This was my first time out of the country, and since it was also our honeymoon, I was nervous about planning everything. But from the start, David was incredibly communicative and thorough. When we arrived, he was so helpful and welcoming. He gave us tons of great recommendation places to eat, things to do and even offered to take us kayaking on a nearby river. When we told him about our love for coffee, he gave us a mason jar full of his own homemade coffee! Every time we came back to the Airbnb, he checked in with us to see how our day went and chatted with us about all our tourist adventures. The AC in the place works great, so no worries there! He also told us about the local weekly market, where he sells his coffee, we enjoyed more of his amazing coffee, and ended up buying six bags to take home. -Pura Vida!

Beautiful place. Perfect for me & two kids in 20s. Very connected to the surrounding nature, sounds of howler monkeys and birds . Clean and refreshing pool with waterfall. As beautiful as pix. Short walk (5-10 minutes) into town, beach and national park . The 2 smaller bedrooms could hear nearby partying late into the night ( but I didn’t) . Could have used more prior advice about pros and cons of getting there ( rental car, Caribe shuttle or plane to Limón ) but Kirsten was very responsive once we were there . Had a blissful time!

We loved the house and the garden. Staying in the middle of the jungle is magical. If you are looking for a silent place, this isn’t the one cause the monkeys, roosters, dogs and birds will wake you up very early but if you are looking for a jungle experience this is it! The house is super clean and beautiful, full of butterflies and beautiful animals that come to visit .

Our family (kids 3, 5, and 13) had an amazing time at Casa Neen! Eric is an excellent host and helpful with everything we needed. He has staff that is also available for things like having a private chef, laundry and cleaning if necessary. The home is comfortable and beautiful. The walk to the beach is very short and safe. We loved this particular beach because it was quiet and natural. We also enjoyed driving 10 minutes away to Playa Cocles to rent surf boards. Anywhere we wanted to go was convenient and quick to get to. Highlights of our trip was the kayak tour with Eric at Iki Tours, chocolate plantation tour with Daniel, surfing at Playa Cocles, breakfast on the beach at Iriria (get the croissants!), dinner on the beach at Beach break bar (homemade tagliatelle was delicious!), and just swimming in the pool every afternoon. Can’t wait to return!

Estuvo todo excelente, una casa muy tranquila, en la selva, con buena vista a los animales que van pasando alrededor, y a la vez muy cerca de la playa. El lugar es de fácil acceso y cuenta con todo lo necesario para una cómoda y relajada estadía. Los anfitriones fueron muy amables. La casa estaba muy limpia, con una cocina muy bien equipada. Sin lugar a dudas volveríamos a repetir la experiencia.

We absolutely loved our time in the casita. Playa Chiquita was the perfect location for us, much quieter than Puerto Viejo or Playa Cochles, but with wonderful, charming restaurants and close proximity to Punta Uva, the beach we frequented. The casita itself is well-equipped for preparing meals at home and the glassed-in dining area was a joy. I could spend hours in the hammock, rain or shine, watching the rainforest and listening to the sounds of the jungle. We saw Spider monkeys playing in the trees and a sloth came to visit on the property! The pool was refreshing and wonderful to have after sweaty outings exploring the coast. We were also relieved that though we had several power outages (which is the norm in CR), they were resolved in a very timely matter and there was an emergency light in the living room so we were never completely in the dark. If we make it back to the area we would definitely stay there again!

Wow!! What a spectacular and beautiful home and experience. Agatha was the loveliest host with a beautiful home that she designed herself. The love and care she put into every aspect of this home and experience is 5 star. The views are jaw dropping and the time in the the infinity pool was epic. The home was spotless and very comfortable with an exceptional design. I cannot recommend this home enough! I would say it is probably one of the top homes in the area. Thank you Agatha for your kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity. Many Blessings Ahead.

Wat an amazing place to stay, we just had 2 nights but could easily stay weeks here! The house is spacious, beautiful in its simplicity, with a luxurious and very clean look, the bed is great and the bathroon has a netwindow so you can easily hear the birds and howler monkeys when showering (in the huge shower)! The garden is large and the fireflies in the evening make is fairytail-like. We saw toucans, agoutis, howler monkeys and so many other birds and butterflies (like blue morpho) just in and around the big garden. And Cahuita is just around the corner, which makes this place very private but near all the places to do. Lovely host, also! Helped us with many things, thank you again for all. Highly recommended, don't hesitate!
