Gaze at the mountains or just head to the USFS trails right out your front door. Maybe saunter into town?We are right in the East Quincy neighborhood! We own the bowling alley & restaurant, which is less than a mile away! The deer roam looking for apples from the many trees scattered about. There is a queen bed in bedroom. If needed we have a sofa bed. If traveling with more people we have a travel trailer for an additional cost. There is great privacy & fun at our Sierra Sanctuary

Quincy Hide Away: Remote location. 5 miles North of Quincy. Set back from highway 70, this forest house is built on historical gold mining land. Notwithstanding its mining past, staying on this property feels like a retreat in a pristine forest. Fully furnished. The attached sunroom makes the space extra cozy. Wi-Fi is provided. The water supply comes from springs and is stored in two metal tanks, 4000 gallons each. The caretaker has his own tiny house out of sight of the main house.

Relax in style in this rural remote place. A former trailer turned small home, where you can enjoy civilization and wilderness all in the same location. Hike up the mountain or relax watching tv (bring your own Netflix, YouTube, amazon accounts- apps are appearing on TV. Your fire stick will work, too). Verizon service is full bars. AT&T and T-mobile is not working there. You will have to take screenshots of checkin directions in advance and set up Wi-Fi calling when you get there.

This place is a total gem. Super quiet, very spacious for 4 people. The kitchen was so well stocked which was great since we cooked both nights. The WiFi isn’t great but that’s a plus for us since we love to unplug. House was so clean & an ideal location to town & near amazing biking trails & Lake Davis. The house was also very cool despite the warm summer temps.

Lindsey was a great host! 5 stars all around! We planned a last minute trip for the weekend and she was able to accommodate our needs. She was available when needed, flexible with our plans and has a lot of knowledge of the area. The house was clean, spacious and sooo peaceful. Location was great, it is just a short drive from all the outdoor activities Plumas county has to offer… golf, hiking, trail rides, water activities, site seeing etc. Would definitely stay again! Everything you’re looking for in a mountain retreat!

We stayed here last summer and came back this time because it’s all so perfect! The place is neat, clean and somehow the temperature inside is so comfortable even on the hot summer days of temperatures over 90 degrees outside. Can walk to town for a coffee or a meal, hike the trails nearby or drive to Gold Lake, only ten minutes away, to get on our paddle boards. Shawn is lovely and checks in just enough to make sure all is good. We will be back.

We had a wonderful stay! The one-bedroom unit is even better than it looks in the photos—perfectly sized for a couple, very clean, and well maintained. The air conditioning was a huge plus during the hot days. The host was super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our late check-out, which we really appreciated.

We had a wonderful stay at this home in Quincy! The house was exactly as described—very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. I would recommend staying here and wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we’re back in the area.

Kelly's place has a nicely appointed kitchen with new appliances. The refridgerator was large and accommodated my party of 4. The living rooms are not cluttered, spacious and comfortable. There is a large backyard with a bbq (didn't use it because it was cold outside, but it looked like a nice area.) There is laundry available, but I didn't find any detergent, so bring your own if you want to do a wash. There are two heating stoves, one in each of the livingrooms. One heater is propane and the other is wood, we didn't use the wood heater, but after being instructed not to turn the propane heater above 2 (it works on a range between 0-5), the bedrooms upstairs were cold.

Laurie's place was in such a beautiful location. She communicated clearly with me and emailed directions and house manual information. Unfortunately, the only time I had from my business happened to be one of the hottest times of the year. We knew there was no A/C but had hopes that it would be a little cooler in the mountains. When we arrived it was just too hot for our comfort with 100 degree weather. We ended up going back home just 40 minutes from her place so I can't comment on our actual stay. However, Laurie was awesome and communicated great and the place was such a beautiful and quaint getaway. We hope to stay sometime in the future. A great spot for the doggos to have a weekend in nature!
