Our modern home is 15 minutes drive from Taupo but still feels like a secret hideaway. It is quiet and private with majestic views of Lake Taupo and Mount Ruapehu - the sunsets are stunning. Perfect for a getaway all year round with outdoor areas and BBQ, large windows and an indoor, double-sided fireplace. We are 5 minutes from the very beautiful Whakaipo Bay, a quiet spot to walk or have a swim. You can also enjoy plenty of bush walks around the area. Hairdryer/toiletries/iron not provided

Cosy chalet style house at Tongariro National Park

A cosy cedar chalet on peaceful land to the rear of Owhango village overlooking Tongariro forest. Sleeps up to 6. Only 25 mins to ski fields; 15 mins to Tongariro crossing bus shuttle at National Park village. Nearby Ohinetonga reserve is famed for trout fishing, rare whio whio blue ducks, swim holes and the renowned 42nd Traverse bike and running track. Also directly on Te Araroa long distance trail. 15 mins to Taumaranui town. Owhango has a delish cafe too! Pricing is for up to 4 persons.

Soothing Riverside Cabin, Taumarunui

No cleaning fee. The cabin is a bedroom with the toilet, shower and kitchen located separately a few metres away. You are on the tip of a peninsula in the Whanganui River. Lie in bed and watch the fish rise in the morning or maybe sit around the fire in the evening enjoying the peace and quiet after a refreshing swim. Mountains are 40 mins away, kayaking tours 10 mins away and Taumarunui is 12km. Please don't bring water, free, safe water is provided. Limiting plastic is much appreciated.

Jailhouse Ridge is a fully self-contained unit with its own private access, ideal for couples. It is surrounded with 7 acres of gardens, ponds & paddocks. Your own private spa awaits you on the deck & is serviced daily. With a Queen bed, fully equipped kitchen, en-suite & log fire, it has everything you need for a fantastic stay. The mezzanine floor, accessed by a steep staircase, has a sofa, 42" TV , Freeview, DVD, WIFI. An extra 32" TV with Chrome-cast is downstairs.

Please note this is an unserviced holiday home. You will Need to supply your own linen and towels etc. Our wonderful bach full of character, is an old mill house which belonged to the local timber mill from the 1940-50s. It then spent several years as the Tauranga ski club, before being lovingly restored into a groovy bach full of rustic charm. It's the perfect place to getaway and relax, or to use as a base after your high octane adventures around the Central Plateau.
