Centrally located self-contained suite on the ground floor of our family home. The place is just a short walk to the supermarket, shops and town. It is ideal for couples with its own private access. Tea and coffee facilities are provided along with a variety of cereals and some milk for breakfast. The kitchen is equipped for cooking your own meals if desired. Standard wifi provided for your convenience. Great for animal lovers - very friendly cat and dog live at the property.
“Great private place to stay. Lots of space in this guest suite. Internet wad good, as we used it to complete some work. Appreciated the awesome heaters and the milk and cereal that were provided. Turangi is small, and the neighborhood is quiet. You can still walk to Turangis main shops from the home. Also serves as a good base for hikes in the area, including the alpine crossing. The family cat is also amazingly friendly and adorable.”
We have so enjoyed living permanently in our motorhome, we thought we’d share the experience. The motor home provides you with everything you need to live - cooking facilities, small fridge, shower, flushing toilet, comfortable double bed, all in good condition, and even a small log burner. If you have ever considered living in a tiny house, now is the time to try one!
“We stayed 5 days and loved this experience! The bus is very well equipped, very cosy, and very well located (between the Tongariro and Taupo which left us plenty of activities to do). We appreciated having a little chat with Warren and Thelma. They have been very discret and helpful too (Thank you again for emptying our compost and bringing us daily some wood for the fireplace). We highly recommend this place”
Downstairs bedroom looking north over farmland. Bedroom has a queen sized bed and one set of bunks. Right next door to your bathroom and separate toilet. We keep some books and clothes in the wardrobe but there's plenty of room for guests clothes in the wardrobe and separate chest of drawers. Our home is set on 2 hectares which we are developing into a semi-self-sustainable place of work and peace.
“Tim and Doreen were very welcoming hosts and have a beautiful home, in a stunning location. We loved the grounds, cows, ducks and ducklings. They very kindly gave us some of their delicious fresh plums from their garden and their homemade muesli was very yummy. The room itself was very comfy and had everything we needed, the bathroom was very nice and clean. We also had full access to the kitchen so we could cook some meals there. Their rescue dog Jill was also lovely and very quiet. Perfect place to get away from the cities and to do tongariro. They were also very helpful with local tips and suggestions for the rest of our trip around NZ.”
