Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Raystown Lake

We booked our stay for a weekend at Raystown Lake. The house was in a great location for a quick drive and just down the street from access to Allegrippis trails. The house was exactly as described and pictured. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch swing in the peaceful quiet. Jennifer quickly and politely responded to all my questions. The heat is from a wall unit in the dining area so we learned to keep the bedroom doors open before bed so the temperature was comfortable at night. There were extra blankets if needed. It reminded me of the mountain house I visited as a kid that was heated by a wood stove.(no wood stove here). Kids enjoyed lounging on the sectional watching TV. We have t-mobile and did not have cell service in the house but got reception about 1/2 mile down the road. We were able to connect to the DSL and able to get texts that way. The house was clean and comfortable for our stay, and we would book again if in the area.

This is the second time we've stayed at Brooke's place. We looked for a place closer to Altoona, but nothing compares to Brooke's and Martinsburg. We love it out there. The house is exactly as described. It has all the amenities that you need. The area and people are wonderful. We also recommend Mamies for breakfast in Martinsburg.

Julie and Bob were wonderful hosts. We had an unexpected death in our family and had to rent a place in hours. Julie was quick to respond to our request and aloud us to stay an our after the posted checkout time. The house was exactly as described and just what we needed.

A very nice private area set away from everything. Served well for a weekend get away for an event I attended and was so impressed I might just bring the wife and kids back. Host is nice and quick to respond and the house itself very clean and well kept. Grass was taken care of. Nothing overgrown. I didn’t find myself looking for anything I needed short of groceries. Well worth the money!

We had an amazing time at Elizabeth's cabin by the lake. There was plenty of space for my family of 4. The house was amazing! It was very clean and well taken care of. This was by far, the best AirBNB I have stayed at. It had everything you could possibly want or need when you are away from home. Awesome place!

Our stay was amazing! Host friendly, responsive and flexible. The house was great, nicely renovated, very clean and well stocked. Lots of entertainment options for kids and adults alike. Right off the freeway but felt private at the same time. Grocery and other stores 4 mins away.

Very cool historical building and area. Everything was exactly as described and expected. Erik was extremely accommodating as we had some last minute sitter issues for the kids. Would absolutely come back again. Thanks for everything!

I would definitely stay at Mrs. Martha’s lovely home again. She was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was as comfortable as she could. My kids loved her backyard and had lots of fun playing outside. Her home was everything she described. Loved the area and loved staying at her place.

Wow! This place is a gem!! Wonderful welcoming communication from the host, amazingly clean, thoughtful touches, so quiet and peaceful. I feel so grateful for Kevin welcoming me into his studio and having it available on Airbnb to stay in. I can’t say enough good things. Everything was perfect.

Fantastic place for a short term stay. I will say the rooms are fairly small but great if you don’t plan on spending much time in the room. The hosts are super nice and will do anything to make sure your stay is the best as it can be.

This property was extremely clean, cozy, and comfortable. Nestled at the top of a mountain with incredible views along the ride up. The beds are comfortable, and all the attention to detail is just perfect. Definitely feels like a home away from home. Excellent stay!

A quaint place, clean. A historic building in a historic town. I enjoyed walking to the “Texas Lunch” for breakfast? Then throughout the “square” in downtown. The creek was adjacent where you can watch and feed the ducks with the supplied frozen peas! I enjoyed my visit to my birthplace.

Jeannie and Herb’s place was exactly what our family needed on our way to the east coast. It was quiet and peaceful, viewing the cows and chickens was a favorite of our kids. There were plenty of games and puzzles to occupy our kids and everything we needed to make a healthy meal was available in the kitchen.

We always stay at Nathan’s place when we come out to visit family. It’s been perfect every time! It really has everything we could possibly need, and is a peaceful retreat for us. We’ll be back in the fall!

The house was beautiful and extremely clean. We had a wonderful time watching the snow and wildlife through the windows while staying cozy by the fire. Beds were comfy and neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. Would definitely go for a restful retreat again.

Me and my girlfriend loved the place it was the perfect getaway and birthday present for her. Jessica was very nice, accommodating, and even let her pet her animals! 10/10 would recommend and try again

We were 12 guys riding motorcycles and had a great stay here. We stayed three nights and rode around the great twisty roads in southern PA. This place was perfect. Every guy had a separate bed to sleep in and the 5 bathrooms came in handy. The place was very clean. The driveway is paved which is a big asset for bikes. The host let us store our bikes in the detached garage. The house was fully stocked. All we needed to bring were our cloths and food. Everything else we needed was there. I highly recommend staying here if you are someone who wants a quiet and secluded place to relax. You will need to drive 20 miles to nearest supermarket and the nearest gas station is about the same distance away. This was not a problem for us. We spent our days riding. There is a very nice little Amish Cafe about 15 miles up the road.

Nice stay. Perfect spot for Saint Francis graduation visit. close enough, but quiet and serene with the park nearby. Host was proactive with instructions and verybhelpful.

My friend and I had a great stay at Crystal’s cabin! She was very flexible and helped us shift our reservations twice. The cabin is tucked away off of a busy road but it’s so far back it feels entirely secluded. There are trails behind the house but it’s good to note that it is gaming land so be prepared if it’s hunting season or dress appropriately. Overall we loved our stay and hope to return next year!

Second time staying here! Great location wonderful host. Great experience all around!
