Cottage holiday rentals in Red Wing

We loved our stay! Luke was a very responsive host. The cottage was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we loved having access to a hot tub and sauna. They anticipated anything we would’ve wanted during our stay (coffee, tea, extra towels for the hot tub) and provided clear instructions and recommendations. I would stay here again, and I would recommend this place to others looking to stay somewhere peaceful yet still near everything.

beautiful home to stay in, better than the pictures suggested. very cozy and a great place to relax after exploring Minnesota. the hot tub is a wonderful addition, and I highly recommend walking down and watching the sunrise in the morning.

This cottage is absolutely gorgeous!! It has so much to offer with a beautiful view on the lake, a hot tub, a fire pit area, a beautiful walking trail, and so much more! It was the perfect place to celebrate a bachelorette weekend and so many amazing memories were made here. The host was very helpful and always answered any questions. The house was stocked with lots of cooking supplies and cleaning products that made it easy to stay there. I hope to be able to come back to this cottage in the future because it was the best weekend!!

We had 7 girls stay here for a bachelorette weekend getaway and we LOVED it! The house is so full of historic charm while still offering a fully modernized kitchen, bathrooms and entertainment systems. We loved being far enough away from the busy downtown Stillwater scene to enjoy a little sanctuary time, but also being close enough to either drive or walk (about 20 minutes walking) to get downtown to all the fun shops and restaurants of DT Stillwater.

The hosts, Katie and Curt, were very friendly and responsive. The hot tub on the patio was a big bonus. I also enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and watching the trolley go by through the woods ($3 to take the short historic ride). And just a few minutes to walk to Lake Harriet pavilion to take in some live music or walk around the lake. I’m excited to come back sometime for this relaxing get-away!

Nathan’s place was great! It’s walkable to downtown Stillwater, and the home itself is funky and fun. Nathan was a kind and responsive host, and he accommodated our needs well. Definitely worth the stay. Thank you!

What a charming, cozy and spotless cottage in a very private setting! The description was on point! Very quiet, wonderful neighbors and accessible to parks, restaurants, shopping, etc. Communication with the host was excellent with any concerns! She was lovely to chat with. Very cute interior; lots of extra supplies in case we forgot anything. Loved the bathroom!! Quiet; beds were comfortable & nice to have 2 TV’s as my husband & I have different tastes. The only tiny negative is the yard - not really any grassy area for our little dog, but she didn’t mind walking down the block.

This location is so quiet and peaceful. A beautiful farm house in the country that is within walking distance of the main part of town. We loved the proximity to Northfield, MN and loved they had a trail connecting the two towns. Go visit Martha’s for baked goods or Chapel Brewing in town.

This cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s located on a quiet street yet convenient to shopping. The kitchen and bath are fully stocked and it’s all very clean. We are already planning to come back.

Perfect cabin to go and get away from it all. I absolutely love this area of Wisconsin and I go at least once a year to decompress. The cabin had everything we needed except for an extension cord. But most people don’t need one of those. Comfy couch, great hiking out the back door even with a fire pit. Great water pressure in the bathrooms and some cool features in the shower as well! Great place and thankful I was able to get in it such short notice.

Loved this cabin. Unfortunately, it rained most of the weekend, but while we didn’t get to do what we had envisioned we were still able to catch some rainbow trout on their beautiful grounds and played a multitude of games they had for at the cabin. Sere is super responsive to any needs. Highly recommend all around.

It was the perfect location to explore the area! We enjoyed the local winery and local breakfast restaurant.

Great space for an extended family stay. Enjoyed the great patio spaces, beautiful lake with kayak, well appointed kitchen, and large dining table and living room. Main floor was very accessible for family with a walker and they were able to navigate the few steps to the main patio too, but would be nice to have the main bathroom shower upgraded some day to be a more accessible walk in shower (there is a walk in shower upstairs). Host/brother very responsive to a few questions that came up.

Cute little old house. A little bit dusty, but to be expected in an older home. Had a fairly long term stay and the host was responsive to any questions, and very friendly. Located right across the street from a beautiful park, with lots of space to walk our reactive dog without getting too close to other dogs on the walk. The park is very busy on weeknights with different sport events or practices, so there was a bit more traffic and activity at that time, but otherwise a fairly quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable bed on the main floor. The kitchen is very small, so don’t plan on cooking any gourmet meals, but functional nonetheless.

A gorgeous place with beautiful lake access. We spent 6 weeks here while waiting to close on our new home & we enjoyed it so much. Thank you!!

Travis was a responsive and helpful host. The lake that the house sits on is absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be back.

Perfect place for a weekend getaway

Connie's place was exactly what we were looking for: clean, quiet, attractive and conveniently located. My family and I enjoyed the view of the lake and walking the nearby trails. My grandson got a lot of use out of the games and toys. We were able to cook our meals in the fully stocked kitchen. We appreciated the ease of check-in and Connie's responsiveness. Highly recommend!

We loved staying in the St. Francis Cottage! It was so peaceful - we enjoyed both the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit. We jad everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The grounds are great for walking and enjoying nature and it was a very short drive to scenic overlooks and downtown Stillwater. It was a perfect getaway!
