Tiny Canal House in Historic Gouda

Ons kleine grachtenpand ligt op een steenworp afstand van het historische stadhuis, het museum en de Sint-Janskerk, wereldberoemd om zijn glas-in-loodramen. Het aanzicht van het huis dateert uit eind 18e eeuw. En binnen zijn oudere elementen uit de beginperiode (1390) van het huis te zien. Gouda heeft een station en is centraal gelegen tussen Den Haag, Rotterdam, Leiden, Delft en Utrecht. De steden zijn aan te raden voor een dagtrip en goed te bereiken per trein. Ook bent u snel in Amsterdam.

Welcome to our “bakhuisje”: a national monument from +- 1700. The house is cozy and comfortable; living downstairs, bed is upstairs on the mezzanine. It has a cozy electric fireplace and a comfy couch. The bathroom has everything needed. Kitchenette (without cooking) with small fridge + coffee/tea and a beautiful view (vegetable garden, greenhouse, fruit trees). Of course WiFi and a workplace. Beautiful surroundings for walking/cycling and a small sandy beach in the river at 2 minutes walking.

Group location 7-16 pers, 7 persons is minimum to stay. You pay per person. Renovated authentic large country house 1907 in Amsterdam Lake district, Loosdrecht. Surrounded by beautiful lakes, woods, countryside. Close to city life 30 min from Amsterdam center and airport. Trainstation 10 min, taxi, Uber, busstop in front of house, 2 shopping centers 5 min by car, market 10 min. Central Holland, historical, terraces on the lakes, restaurants, watersport, boat, sup and bike rent, swimming.

Achter de deuren van onze authentieke gerenoveerde hooiberg vind je een volledig en gezellig appartement, wat op een zeer rustige en landelijke locatie gelegen is. Vanuit dit appartement kan je per fiets, wandelend of met de auto het typisch Hollandse landschap verkennen. Op 15 km afstand zijn de molens van Kinderdijk, op 6 km afstand het vestingstadje Nieuwpoort en op 6 km de zilverstad Schoonhoven. Geniet van de rust en de natuur tijdens je verblijf. In het hart van Gouda en in de eerste Fairtrade winkelstraat van Nederland vind je ons pittoreske en authentieke huisje. Van alle gemakken voorzien met een fijne (gedeelde) stadstuin. Loop het beroemde poortje uit en verken het mooie Gouda! Bed&Baartje is het zusje van Baartje SandersErf en zijn naast elkaar gelegen in het hofje.

Hi! We are Lars and Erin and we live in beautiful Gouda. Erin is from the USA (Nebraska), and I grew up in Gouda. In 2019 we exchanged the city center for a beautiful house on the outskirts of Gouda. We chose this house because of the beautiful garden, but also because the garage gave us the opportunity to turn it into a cozy guesthouse for you to come and experience Gouda and the Netherlands! Ook met de auto zijn deze steden gemakkelijk bereikbaar.

Our rebuild shed is a wonderful place to relax, partly due to alpacas Guus, Joop, Ted, Freek & Bloem who will greet you on arrival. With Rotterdam and Gouda just around the corner, our casa is a wonderful base for a fun day out! Our casa has a living room, bathroom with shower/toilet and a sleeping loft. Please note there is no extensive cooking facilities.
