Beyond showing your identity verification status, your profile can offer more details about you with hosts and guests, such as:
Your profile photo will be shown across Airbnb – for example, it’s on your listing if you’re a host and it will be shared with hosts after a booking is accepted as a guest. It also appears in message threads on Airbnb and will be shared with other guests when you join a reservation and on reviews you leave as a host or guest.
Guest profile photos aren’t displayed until after a reservation is confirmed.
All hosts are required to have a profile photo, and some hosts require a photo of their guests to make a reservation.
