Beyond showing your identity verification status, your profile can offer more details about you with hosts and guests, such as:

• Your profile photo – the best photos clearly show your face so others can recognise you when you arrive as a guest or host a stay, service or experience.
• Your first name or preferred first name
• Your reputation – details like the number of trips you’ve been on, number of reviews and years on Airbnb
• Your answers to questions about you – where you live, languages you speak or fun facts help share information about your unique personality. All of these questions are optional
• Your interests – these help bring your personality to life
• Your introduction – shares details about yourself
• Your travel stamps – these showcase trips you’ve taken on Airbnb

Where your profile photo is shared

Your profile photo will be shown across Airbnb – for example, it’s on your listing if you’re a host and it will be shared with hosts after a booking is accepted as a guest. It also appears in message threads on Airbnb and will be shared with other guests when you join a reservation and on reviews you leave as a host or guest.

Guest profile photos aren’t displayed until after a reservation is confirmed.

All hosts are required to have a profile photo, and some hosts require a photo of their guests to make a reservation.
