“Great family with vibe of summer camp. You are happy to be a part of this incredible space and feel sad when your stay comes to the end”. This is how I’d summarise my experience at Casa de Magdalena. This is a sign for everyone who is considering to stay at hostel, but still hesitant - you absolutely have to try this place. There is one downside to it though - it’s unlikely you’ll get any similar experience at other hostels. Thank you guys for making me feel right at home. Piece of my heart now belongs to Faro, Casa de Magdalena and incredible people (both staff and guests I’ve met there) ❤️ (For those who were looking for practical reviews - place is clean, very well maintained, staff is super friendly, make sure everyone is adhering to the rules to make stay comfortable for all guests and if it wasn’t enough you have pancakes for breakfast every day and it gives you opportunity to meet other guests, exchange your experience, find buddies to explore nearby places and so on)

We stayed at the sunset room for two days and the apartment had everything we needed: Kitchen equipment, oil and herbs and even a sweet balcony with ocean view! The center is a bit further away (20-25 minutes on foot) but easy to walk to. The supermarket was very close (4 minutes on foot) and next to the apartment building was even a small portugesian Café. The contact with Susana was very friendly and helpful! She had good recommendations. :) Guests should keep in mind that the fan of the neighbours aircon is placed on the rooms' balcony. It is noisy and blows hot air on the balcony. We found it very helpful to have earplugs.

The house was amazing, especially 3 balcony levels, which felt very luxurious, with a great view of the beach and the ocean. The bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable, that I had the best sleep in a long time. I seriously did not want to leave that bed, lol. Great location, 3 min walk to the elevator down to the beach (great help as opposed to taking the stairs up and down), and the old town is also walking distance (10-15 min). Parking is a bit tricky, but we were able to find a spot if not on this street, then on the neighboring streets. The house is well equipped with everything you need (I would also add paper towels and shampoo/conditioner, but we were able to buy those at a grocery store nearby). The communication with the host was very quick and efficient, everything we needed was resolved fast. Welcoming bottle of wine and snacks were also appreciated. I highly recommend this accommodation, you won't be disappointed!

Isabel was such a delight. We had to check in very late and she stayed up to check us in nonetheless. The property was very clean, modern and had all of the amenities. The parking was right in front of the property so it was quite easy. The rooftop infinity pool was very nice. And the town nearby was so cute. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Had an amazing stay over the weekend. Place was very nice and just as the pictures showed. Amenities within the property were great. The hosts were easy to communicate with and they even allowed us an early check-in as we landed quite early in the day. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful retreat. The house is very stylishly decorated and the garden is a lovely place to relax and unwind. The little extras made it a fantastic stay - with a fabulous games room and bikes available. The pool is shared but we only saw one other person once and the rest of the time had it all to ourselves. To top it off, Nuno is a fantastic host. Highly recommend and would definitely return!

Wonderful place, clean, close to the beach and checkin/out was very easy Rui was a lovely host, giving good Instructions, great communication and help when need 3 of us staying and for 4 in the second room with 2 single beds might be a little cozy, but perfect for us We stayed Mon-Wed and no issues with traffic on the road and fairly quiet Beach is gorgeous and 10m from the front door Good pressure and lots of hot water in the shower Cannot recommend this place enough

We had a very nice stay in Faro! The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. The apartment was clean, cozy and well equipped - we felt at home immediately. We especially enjoyed the terrace, where we grilled in the evening. We also received great tips for attractions and restaurants. We also had the opportunity to meet a wonderful family. Thank you for the wonderful time – we will be happy to come back!
