Holiday houses in Río Abajo

By far our favorite BnB. Pictures didn't begin to do it justice-some things can't be captured in pictures. The peace and privacy, the sounds of nature, the clean air, having the beautiful view, being able to cook and eat breakfast out in the open-having everything we needed to prepare it, the warm pool...couldn't have asked for a better experience. Changed plans due to last minute health issues, but so glad we made it. 100% would come back.

I had a wonderful time here. Guillermo was a wonderful host who helped me a lot while I was here! I was able to grow my own cucumbers here, taste real and organic coconut, papaya, and guava. I felt so connected with the nature here on this farm and I would to have this experience again. If you are not built for the wildlife and nature then this will not be for you, I say this because I used to not like bugs. I’ve learned that we are in their territory so it makes no sense to kill them. Please respect nature if you decide to stay here 🙂.

The place was very clean, a very cozy place. Esmeralda was a very attentive person at all times. I would choose this house again every time I go to Puerto Rico. I want to thank you for your attention and for being so kind.

This place was amazing. The camping area was spacious and level, not to mention overlooking the prettiest views in PR coffee country. The owner and associates were super friendly and we opted to pay for the tour, which was a great spent hour. I learned a lot, and drank great coffee. Fully recommend the stay if you care about sun rises and great atmosphere.

I do not even know where to begin.. absolutely perfect! We are a family of 7 and the space accommodated us perfectly and with more space than we could ever need. Stephen and Christy were incredible hosts. They were responsive, welcoming, kind and gave the best insight to Puerto Rico and where to go/what to do. (Snorkeling under the pier at Crashboat Beach is a must!) The house is everything you could ever dream of. The views are spectacular. The house is beautiful, clean, spacious and simply a paradise. The drive up the mountain, while windy and narrow, is worth every turn. It is a breathtaking drive so take your time and take in the views! We will absolutely be back to Utuado and cannot wait to plan our next trip. If you are questioning booking just BOOK THE TRIP! You will not regret it. Stephen and Christy will help you navigate your trip of a lifetime.

10 out of 10 Stars ! ⭐️ Words cannot even begin to explain or describe the overwhelming beauty and natural puerto rican charm of this place. The pictures do not even do it justice, this is a place you have to experience first hand and in person. You will not be disappointed!!! Whether its for a family retreat or a solo trip to get away, meditate and refind yourself ... this is it. The easy access river in the backyard was great for a morning meditation, a dip and even for a small family gathering. The river goes right into Charco Los Morones - a very impressive scenary indeed. The host was attentive, friendly, present, and professional. If you need anything they are there for you at first call! We felt comfortable, at peace, and happy to be in a very special home and in a very special part of Puerto Rico. The two loving strays that live in front of the property made our stay even more special. All I can say is give the place a go, treat it with love, respect and ENJOY ⛰️🐕🇵🇷✨💯🤍

I definitely give Doris and her accommodation 5 stars! It was beautiful with amazing views! The place was fresh, clean, open, and extremely peaceful. The only thing we didn’t give 5 stars was getting there. It is not Doris’ fault. She tried to give me many pins and ways to share the location but the GPS and map system in Puerto Rico in this particular area just wasn’t picking it up well. I recommend that you drive to the Walgreens in Utuado and then contact Doris. She will help you get there without having to rely on the GPS and pin systems that do not correlate or work in this area. We are avid travelers and when I had the pin, I was confident we could make it there but I was wrong. Haha! Don’t rely on the pins. Contact Doris once you get to Utuado. Otherwise it’ll send you up into the mountains FAR away from where you’re really staying. Haha! Doris was so wonderful in getting us to her accommodation. She was VERY responsive, sweet, and patient. We slept so good and loved it!
