Casa da Encosta - Hillside cabin near the sea

Casa da Encosta is located in the picturesque Aldeia do Penedo, on the hills of Sintra facing the Atlantic. The nearby beaches (Adraga, Praia Grande, Praia das Maçãs and others) are just 5 km away. This two bedroom house (plus a mezzanine) dates from the 1930’s and was passionately renovated in 2023 by Katrin Kaasa and Duarte Amaral Netto, your hosts. The house maintains the spirit of a cabin (low ceiling in the kitchen and some doors) but was carefully designed for comfort and stylish details.

Near Lisbon, Sintra, and Cascais. Great location, easy access, perfect getaway in the midst of luscious wild vegetation and silence. Hosts up to 6 people, in an open studio at the Quinta´s old agricultural courtyard, close to the swimming pool, yoga & dance studio, and exuberant woods. The studio is built in original horse stable. The animals are free and drink water from the historic Fonte das Lágrimas, where João I proposed to Filipa de Lencastre. Come enjoy nature, silence and well being!
