There is a car road all the way up to the cabin throughout the year, and good parking. This is a perfect starting point for trips in Jotunheimen and the surrounding mountain areas. In winter, there is a cross country trail just behind the cabin, and you can go on an alpine ski just outside the cabin door and run to the ski resort. The cabin is beautifully located also for hunting, fishing and total relaxation.

There is a huge network of paths and skiing tracks starting outside the lodge and it is situated at the start of the famous Jotunheimen mountain reserve in Norway. The local village Skåbu (Skaabu) with a church, school, restaurant and supermarket is the highest altitude inhabited village in northern Europe.

Ca 1 km på ski gjennom skogen til løypenettet til Skeikampen. Hytta har 5 soveplasser, pluss sprinkelseng, utstyrt kjøkken, varmepumpe, vedovn og oppvask- og vaskemaskin. Sengetøy og håndklær inkl. Må ha 4x4 på vinter. 15 min til sentrum og Skeikampen, 30 min til Lillehammer og 45 min til Hunderfossen.

This is an undeveloped, old mountain farm where you can really find peace and quiet and recharge your batteries. For rent is a new "cosy" cabin in Gålå. Relax at 860 meters above sea level with a beautiful view of Lake Gålå and the surrounding mountains. Directly accessible from the cabin is one of the largest networks of cross country tracks in Norway. The local alpine slopes are great for families. For those after more challenges, Kvitfjell and its world cup slopes is only a 40 minute drive away.
