Beachfront holiday rental in Rivas

My friends and I had a great time at the house it had everything we needed and the Property Caretaker Don Pedro was very helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend Violetas house to stay in San Juan del Sur.

We had a great stay at this Airbnb in San Juan del Sur. The location could not be better—just one block from the beach and within walking distance to the best restaurants, the malecón, and a small marina area. It is in a mixed neighborhood, but that is something quite typical for Nicaragua and adds to the local charm. If you come with realistic expectations, this place is truly a great option. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning, which was a huge plus, and a small kitchenette for simple meals. One of the best parts was the convenience of having a small pulpería (local store) right next door. The lady who runs it also handles the keys and was incredibly helpful at any time, day or night. It felt like staying in a real community. Victoria was super friendly and always available to answer questions. Her presence next door made things even easier, and we could get anything we needed directly from her store. We definitely plan to return!

We’ve stayed at many houses in Hacienda Iguana and this house was by far our favorite. It’s got an amazing layout and gorgeous furniture + comfortable beds. But I’ll always remember the spectacular wrap around screened in porches on both levels. We stayed with our 4 month old and it was so beautiful to give him his midnight bottle in an Adirondack rocking chair on the screened in patio off the main bedroom…precious ‘new mom moments’ under the moon, stars, with the sound of the ocean (you can hear the waves at Panga Drops surf break). The property is located directly across the dirt road from the most secluded part of the beach. We had gorgeous evening walks at low tide sunset and came home to cook dinners in the well appointed kitchen. We had coffee by the crystal clear pool in the mornings and really enjoyed being walkable to Rancho Santanas Taqueria + the cute restaurants in Iguana. Bonus: we decided to elope! The house is amazing, you have access to the beach right in front of you, only recommendation for anybody is to bring your own food from a local supermarket as there is an hour drive off road(4x4 recommended) after reaching san juan, the place is very private, you have the beach for yourself, the house is very clean, enough rooms, and spacious. Local housekeeper was very useful as he can go buy you items at extra cost while you enjoy your time, final score 10/10.

This place is right on the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen in my life. It was perfect for a weekend with family and friends to enjoy a relaxing weekend. The condo is perfect to get away from the noise and chaos of city life.

The host Mary Jane was absolutely amazing. The Airbnb was beautiful, the photos did not do it justice. The house was roomy and the decor was very nice. It was in a closed off gate and private with a guard on duty every night. Mary sent so many awesome recommendations for us to go and eat. She even arranged taxis for us and was super responsive. She was very nice with my family and personable, she remembered every little details about them and accommodated my grandmother. I will definitely be back and I couldn’t recommend her enough! 10/10 experience

Beautiful place and at walkable distance to the beach. It was pretty close to different attractions nearby. Jose, the caretaker was very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the price and we will definitely stay again when visiting Nicaragua.

We had a great stay at la Bahia! Spacious home with nice pool only a few steps from the beach and town of San Juan del Sur. Special mentions to Veronica and Feliciano for always being available for our questions and needs. Be careful with the electricity usage. We had to pay a fee for exceeding the electricity allowance. We would come back anytime!

This was the best AirBnB experience we've ever had. In complete seriousness, when you read my review, you should just book this place if it works out with your travel plans. If any of these criteria matter to you, this place fits the bill: an extremely helpful and knowledgeable host who will help you coordinate almost anything; perfect cleanliness; a spot next to the water; somewhere eco-friendly; a warm shower; fresh fruits, eggs, herbs, etc literally outside your door; interacting with friendly animals; safety; your own place (not a hotel/hostel); ability to cook your own food; ability to get to anywhere on both sides of Ometepe with relative ease; restaurants/businesses within easy walking; English & Spanish; I could keep going but I think you may get the picture. Linda is one of the most incredible people we've met who has spent years enriching the lives of the people in her community and we couldn't be more grateful for what she shared with us and did for us. Thank you so much.

Amazing Beach House! This place is absolutely wonderful. The house itself is beautiful and well-maintained, and the location is spectacular—perfect for anyone who enjoys privacy and relaxation. It's just a short walk to some fantastic restaurants, which made our stay even better. We had such a great experience and will definitely be visiting again!

I could live in this place. As soon as we entered I felt right at home. Great air conditioning in the bed room. All the things you may need in the kitchen. A private outdoor space for hanging out and drying clothes. Would certainly stay here again.

The location was super beautiful! We loved hanging out on the balcony. At night we heard a bunch of howler monkeys which was cool. Would stay again.

I felt very comfortable in the Salitre. I was even allowed to put my belongings in the fridge before checking in. The house is spacious, well furnished and has everything you need. It is only a 2-minute walk to the beach. I thought it was great that I was able to bring my small dog easily. The managers take care of them warmly. Overall, I felt very comfortable in the house. I'd love to come back to Salitre...

We really liked the place, the view is very nice to the sea, even the beach is close, you just have to go down a few stairs, there is a bar right in front of the beach, the place has everything you need if you want to cook, you have a beautiful view from the room. As a recommendation, bring repellent or Baygon for mosquitoes and other animals that always come out in the light, as it is a rustic place.

We had an amazing stay with Adam and Tina in the heart of San Juan del Sur. Helpful, attentive and great communication throughout our stay. Highly recommended!
