Pet-friendly holiday rentals in River Stour

The property definitely ticked all the boxes for us. We were staying for a wedding in the village. Having the pub across the road was a bonus as we didn’t really want to cater for ourselves other than breakfast and the church was only 200m away. The beds were all very comfortable and the en-suite bathrooms most convenient. Two had good showers and the third a bath with a bath/shower mixer tap. We didn’t need the fourth bedroom but had we done, although it didn’t have an en-suite bathroom, it did have exclusive night time use of a cloakroom next door to it. It was positioned away from all the other bedrooms so it was as good as being en-suite for night time use and of course there were still three bathrooms to use for showering or bathing, so not really a game changer if four beds were needed.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at the studio. The space was welcoming and clean. I would have preferred a larger bed but it was comfortable. Just a matter of taste. Breakfast was a nice touch.

A wonderful house in beautiful surroundings. It also had that more difficult to attain "presence", with each room allowing you to relax and experience its homeliness and history. The whole family (6 adults and 2 grandchildren) thoroughly enjoyed our stay to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. No-one really wanted to leave. Waking up to see the expanse of manicured gardens from bedroom windows and breakfast room was a calming relaxing pleasure. Plenty of walks available, and the walk to the local pub for an evening meal was safe and easy along quiet country roads. Would certainly recommend.

Jo’s place was as exactly as we chose. A very private place full of tranquility both inside and outside . The natural garden was a joy to just sit and enjoy the wild life and alfresco dining. We were blessed with good weather which made sitting and eating outside mist enjoyable. The garden was a haven for our two dogs to explore safely.

It was an amazing stay for our little family of 3, Perdee was very responsive, friendly and flexible with letting us check in early and check out later. The location is beautiful and the scenery is something else. If you enjoy a peaceful stay and are a fan of animals this is a must stay! Can’t thank Perdee enough for the hospitality.

Great stay! Really nice! Very close to the beach, lovely walks to west Mersea. Shanice was bang on with her communication.

We were recommended Sprotts Farm by a friend and it didn’t disappoint. A great feel at home place to stay, set amongst the most beautiful wooded countryside. Everything was as described and we’ll certainly be back for a return visit 😊 Leo, our pampered pooch certainly enjoyed exploring the grounds and the woods were definitely a bonus. Perfect getaway to unwind and recharge.

We had a wedding close by and this AirBnb was a perfect find! Great value for money and perfect spot for a weekend getaway. This was our first trip with our puppy and Hannah made it all the more convenient. Would definitely recommend!

Easily one of the best AirBnBs I have stayed at. The lodge was so well equipped, there was nothing more you could ask for. The place was kept very clean. Plenty of utensils for a BBQ and even kindling/logs for the firepit. Beyond this, Richard responded promptly to communication and truly went above and beyond. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb as guests to a wedding near by. The house was very comfortable and roomy enough for 6 adults. We loved the space

We stayed at Louies place over the weekend for 2 nights. It was perfect for our family ( 4 adults,one infants) One of the bedroom was away from the bathrooms and leaving room which was perfect for our little one. They kindlu provided a cot , sheets and baby bath. Our little one loved the swing and sand pit. The location is convenient as you can walk to coffee shops, pubs and shops. Also walkable distance to the National trust nearby. Deffo recommend

Booking was easy. I had to contact the host several times for my issues, he was immediately responsive, very friendly and super helpful. The cottage is lovely, well equipped, very well situated and comfortable. There is no parking, but we parked right outside on the road every day easily. The bed is extremely comfortable. Lovely welcome pack. Would visit again.
