We had a great stay at this home and really appreciated how communicative the host was-always quick to respond to any questions. The home felt very “lived in,” which we actually appreciated for a kid-friendly stay. The photos were accurate overall, though the exterior was more overgrown than expected and the trampoline looked a bit “play at your own risk.” That said, our kids had an amazing time with the seemingly endless toys, and it was a huge relief not having to bring bulky items like a stroller or a Pack ‘n Play, since they’re here. The beds were very comfortable, the A/C kept us cool during a hot Austin weekend, and having a good washer/dryer made life easier. The location is definitely a strong point—easy access to some great local spots, including Launderette and Bufalina, both of which we’d highly recommend. Check-out was simple. Our only real suggestion would be a deeper cleaning refresh to match the overall comfort and utility. This place is equipped for families!

I had a great stay! The house has a cozy mid-century modern vibe. Stylish without being overdone, and very comfortable. It’s in a super convenient location: walking distance to a pharmacy and several food spots, and just a short drive to South Congress if you're into touristy things. Merri was a kind, responsive, and accommodating host, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. I’d definitely stay here again.

Had an awesome stay in The Austin Texas House! The place was super clean and comfy, and the location was perfect!!! just a short walk to our favorite restaurant. I got to meet Chris and he was super friendly and welcoming, plus we got to meet his sweet dog Mika too! Really appreciated the hospitality. Would definitely stay here again next time I’m in town!

We loved staying at the Guava Door for our girls trip to Austin! The house was immaculate and provided everything we could've wanted and needed. Surroundings were beautiful and peaceful, and the backyard with the patio and the massive shady tree were appreciated every day. We also adored the surrounding neighborhood and also the accessibility to the swimming pool at Big Stacy. We made ourselves at home with the gorgeous kitchen set up. The beds were super comfortable and all of the sheer/blackout shade options were a very thoughtful touch for darkness vs natural light. Parking was easy, we were grateful there was access to laundry, and we would absolutely stay here again on a future visit! Highly recommend this spot - the value was worth every penny.

I stayed for one night but it was well worth it, will definitely be booking again in the future if I head to Austin in the future!

My family enjoyed our stay. Our 8 month slept so good. With no noise from neighbors. It was perfect!! I high recommend.

Didnt stay too long at the listing. Mainly used it as a place to sleep for the night. The only sink is in the bathroom but that’s called out in the description. I wasn’t really cooking or eating so that didn’t bother me. Quiet garden out back and filtered water in the kitchen was much appreciated.

Tom was a great host. Loved the feeling of the private apartment feel while still being connected to the house. He was super responsive and engaged with our adventure as we look to move from Dallas to Austin. His house was located in an area of Austin we are looking at moving, and his interactions and location of his house made the trip super worthwhile. Totally recommend !!

I had a great stay here. Austin is responsive and ready with neighborhood recommendations. The location is awesome - with a convenience store/cafe right next door which was great for grabbing beverages, snacks, etc. There are a number of restaurants and food trucks within a few minutes walk on 11th st. It's about a 10 minute walk south to 6th st if you're looking for a busier area. Overall, I loved the location and would recommended to anyone wanting to stay in the city. Thanks Austin!

We had such a great time at Joes place. It was just as described. Great location walkable to most things on East Cesar Chavez and not far from downtown either. Joe was super helpful and we couldn’t have asked for a better host and stay. Would definitely recommend. 10/10

cute place and a great location to the lake and walkable to the event I attended for the week. Plan ahead for valet if you have plans, they can get quite backed up to get your car. Loved to be able to use peloton and gym. Pool is not a swimming pool, more of an adult kiddie pool but nice to soak tired feet and lay in the sun. The noise didn't bother me, the sound machine worked great, beautiful view. Thank you.

We had an amazing stay it was our first time staying in an apartment with Airbnb so we were hesitant but it honestly felt so safe and right at home. Everything was clean however the only thing is the water pressure if you want something that has amazing shower water pressure this place is not it but it was decent. Besides that this place was a 5/5. Would stay here again in the future if available!

The photos don’t do the apartment justice. It’s so much bigger. Ayanna is a great host. Always there to answer any question or provide assistance. The location of the apartment is amazing too. Literally steps away from Rainey Street. Lady Bird Lake is also right there. The overall experience exceeded expectations. The apartment was perfect in every way. The gym was fully equipped and the pool on the roof was the perfect way to spend a few hours soaking up the sun after a day exploring the city. I would highly recommend this apartment and will definitely be back

Great value in an excellent location. Check in was a bit tricky. Complex is like a maze but the screenshots provided during checkin with directions was helpful. We did get lost leaving the unit a couple times but after some time you get acclimated to the area. Never used our vehicle as there was tons to do in walking distance of the unit.

Lovely place to stay a few days and enjoy Austin. The house is really nice and convenient, and Stephen always keeps an eye on anything you might need.

The location was unbeatable—just steps from Lady Bird Lake with stunning views and easy access to great walking trails, restaurants, and downtown attractions. The apartment was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. Communication with the host was smooth and prompt, which made check-in and check-out a breeze. The valet was always prompt and polite. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic spot in the heart of the city.
