Get away from it all in a secluded home atop a mountain in the National Forest. Home with deck and panoramic view of the Green Mountains. Idyllic in all seasons. Summer is lusciously green; fall colors seen from our deck; the magic of winter. Tons of privacy, but minutes from town. 35 min to Killington or Sugarbush; snowshoe outside your door, and x-country nearby. Snow tires or chains needed from Dec.-March. Please note that we cannot help you if your car gets stuck en route to the house.

Our funky, fun house is nestled in the woods, with a waterfall and brook rushing by outside the large wall of windows. Situated in the Green Mountains, this is the perfect place to relax and play. The large open-floor plan is perfect for families with school-age children. Families with infants and toddlers may not find our home as friendly, as the waterfall, loft and attached farm buildings may create some safety challenges.

My husband and I absolutely loved staying at Scott’s beautifully remodeled Schoolhouse. Scott was super responsive and very flexible for our arrival. Upon arrival the we were pleasantly surprised and greeted by a very friendly Rooster! We also loved how spotless and immaculate the entire house was. We loved the spaciousness and we felt right at home. Bed was super comfortable and Scott and his wife had thought of every possible little thing that you might need in the bathroom. We also had a welcome basket of goodies that we really enjoyed. I highly recommend that you book this place! You will not be disappointed. In fact we have already booked it for a return trip in August. We loved the large windows and decor of the home. You can tell that they put a lot of thought into making this a comfortable and relaxing space. Kitchen was also well appointed. Location was very quiet and peaceful. This place is top notch!

We had such a wonderful time! The house had absolutely everything we needed—and then some. From extra towels to every kitchen appliance we have at home, nothing was missing. The board games were a fun bonus, and after the 100-mile run, the guys especially appreciated relaxing in the sauna—what a treat! We spent quiet moments in the hammock and enjoyed time in the barn, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The location was serene and calming… exactly what we needed to recharge. Thank you for creating such a thoughtful and welcoming space!

Beautiful Green Mountain Log House

This cabin is the perfect VT log cabin retreat. My family and I stayed three nights this past weekend and loved it the minute we walked in. Rustic but with. modern appliances and amenities and tons of charm. The giant stone fireplace was not only beautiful but really helped heat the space well. As in any log cabin, there are some drafty spots, but the heat works well and there are lots of cozy blankets if you catch a draft. There is no heat upstairs and I was a bit worried about that as it was in the teens when we arrived, but the heat from downstairs does help upstairs and there are tons of blankets in each room. Great sleeping conditions! The house was stocked with all the basics and any items you may have forgotten. The whole cabin was spotless and well maintained. Surrounded by lots of woods it is a very peaceful spot and a convenient drive to Sugarbush. Stephen was very responsive and friendly and accommodated us when we needed a later check out time.

Best vacation I've had in years. I have traveled quite a bit but never used Airbnb before. I included this in my initial message. Darren made sure to give clear and precise instructions that made everything from start to finish so easy and comfortable. The pics don't do the property justice. As beautiful as the photos look, in person everything is magnified by a hundred. My two pups also loved VT and they really enjoyed chasing each other around the property. If you would be so kind as to host us again, we would definitely be back!!

Bethany was so responsive to all my questions and very accommodating. My extended family of eight people were very comfortable and could sprawl out in all of the bedrooms and the common spaces. It was a cold weekend and there were plenty of extra blankets and the house heated up quite quickly., Especially for an old farmhouse! Very restful with the views and the babbling brook alongside the house. Highly recommend
