Gioviano is a small quiet medieval village 25 kms from the walled city of Lucca in the Garfagnana. The house is peacful and in the heart of this beautiful Tuscan village, if you want to explore the region this is a perfect retreat for a weekend or longer. We are 50 minutes from Pisa airport on the SS12 route. The location is perfect for summer or winter. In summer you can reach the sea, in winter ski in the hills. All year round you can explore the region by foot, bicycle, motorcycle or car.

The Metato

Renovated ancient barn that is part of a 17th-century house, consisting of a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and mezzanine bedroom, with a parking space in a closed courtyard. The rooms are small but very cozy, can comfortably accommodate 2 people + possibly 1 person (double sofa bed). The property is located in the heart of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, 15 km from the Pietra di Bismantova, 2 km from the swimming pool and the castle of Carpineti, surrounded by numerous nature trails.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. You can have breakfast in the morning sun while enjoying the view of the hills from the large windows. The apartment is a spacious and quiet retreat, nestled in the hills but two minutes from supermarkets, bars and restaurants so as not to give up any comfort. 5 minutes away, you will find a beautiful access to the river for swimming and grilling on the hottest days. There are also a variety of hiking opportunities nearby.

Ca' Diamantina Apartment in the Apennines

Located in Minozzo, a picturesque mountain village overlooking Pietra and a few restaurants. The apartment is on the second floor and is spread over two floors. The lower floor has a large dining room with balcony, TV, double sofa bed, kitchen and bathroom with shower. On the second floor, there are two double beds in two separate rooms, a balcony overlooking the stone, and an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub. Parking is in front of the house and is free.

The Metato of Borgo Toggiano

Borgo Toggiano tells us the story of the peasant past of the Modena mountains. It is a rural settlement that dates back to the 1800s, consisting of distinct buildings that were used for residence and peasant work. Two centuries later, it was the object of a recovery by local artisans and stonemasons, who brought to light the stones with which these buildings were built.
