Beachfront holiday rental in Rose Bay

Loved my stay at the Salty Crib! I have deep roots in Nova Scotia so I don’t mind things like a slight whiff of sulphur in the water…at the end of a dry summer, I’m glad to have enough water, period. (Which there was.) Melissa’s place was comfortable, incredibly quiet and in a beautiful location. I stayed for a week and didn’t want to leave! Loved my daily swim a half-hour walk down the road at Feltzen South Beach. This was the perfect rustic retreat with an ocean view. Would definitely stay here again.

Stone's Throw cottage is like a home away from home for me. I have been visiting annually for a number of years and no place could match it. Joe is the super host of super hosts - he has thought of everything and goes above and beyond to make sure his guests have a truly memorable experience. As always, I arrived to the most thoughtful treats - including fresh eggs, bread, butter, coffee, cookies, a candle, and more - and all of it local, too! I left relaxed, refreshed, and already planning for next year. Thanks, Joe!

Very cozy place! It was right by the water with a beautiful view. Very convenient as well. We were about a 30 minutes drive from Downtown Halifax. Ashley was very responsive and helpful. Beautiful place and amazing host! I'd stay there again. :)

This was the perfect rustic get-away! The kids had so much to do, and mom and dad had lots of space to relax. The diving dock was a hit (even in the cold) and kayaks were awesome! The boat washroom at the beach was such a nice touch and was super clean, the beach toys and kids toys in the cabin were great. I’m so thankful to have had an affordable place to unplug with my family- Thank you Keith and Sarah!!

What a beautiful place to spend a weekend very clean very organized and a deer waiting for us. when we pulled in the driveway. Our stay was lovely. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Thomas.

We had a wonderful stay at this property - 8 family members on a girls weekend! The house was beautiful, better than the pictures. The kitchen/living room/dining room space was ideal for games, cooking and lots of fun. Everything was so clean and ready to use. Kim was super responsive with any questions I had and everything was really smooth. I would stay here again! It's useful to note for prospective guests - there is a 1-bedroom guesthouse directly behind the main house which does lie between the house and the yard/view, so it didn't feel quite as private as I thought it would be. But - we were there on a rainy weekend, so our group and the guesthouse renters stayed inside all weekend and it was like they weren't even there! I would suggest if you are renting this space for outdoor space, it might not suit those needs. Overall a lovely place to stay and we had a fabulous weekend.

Our Stay at the Fish Shack was pure magic. Loved every minute of it. From the idyllic, beautiful location, charming, authentic folk art that filled the property, comfortable bed, linens, furnishing, well stocked kitchen, lovely deck and setting, we couldn’t ask for a more enjoyable visit and host. Thank you for sharing this little piece of heaven with us. This stop after our long trip cross Canada road trip was just what we hoped for and exceeded our expectations 😁. Thank you for sharing Val!

We stayed at Shobac Farm with our three-year-old toddler and dog, and it was unforgettable. The property perfectly balances modern luxury with cozy, down-to-earth warmth. It's a hidden gem tucked in a stunning, remote spot. The architecture is breathtaking, and the pool, sauna, hot tubs, beaches, fire pit, and sunken dining area make it even more special. Waking up to ocean views and falling asleep to the sound of waves was magical. The historic schoolhouse is fully equipped with everything you could need to feel at home yet completely relaxed. Nearby coffee shops and stores are welcoming and convenient. As amazing as everything was, nothing beat the two beautiful Highland cows—seeing them was a bucket list moment! Our toddler loved exploring, and we felt completely at ease with both a young child and a dog. We can’t wait to come back—every season, again and again. Thank you, Shobac Farm, for such incredible memories!

On the Rocks is a peaceful, magical place. It is modern but cozy and extremely clean and well equipped. Jerky and Stew are responsive and friendly hosts. This was our second time here with plans to return in the future!

This place is stunning! Within 5 minutes of arriving we knew this was going to be a great trip. Richie was very helpful and the arrival was smooth. The location is so picturesque; the view is amazing. The 3 beaches are completely private. The walk through the small path to the rocks was a great discovery and we spent time just sitting on the rocks enjoying the scenery. The house is beautiful and everything you could possibly need was provided. Even the towels were so soft and fluffy. The wood burning stove was a real treat on a chilly evening. The house is spotlessly clean and very well decorated. It’s a quiet area but not far from Peggy’s Cove or Halifax. Overall I can recommend this property enough. If Richie ever decides to sell I’ll be first in the queue. Overall a fantastic stay and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks Richie :)

Jim is an awesome host, was very communicative and gave clear instructions. The cottage was amazing, had everything we were looking for in a weekend getaway. I highly recommend, especially if your looking to just relax and unwind in nature.

What an amazing place! The view is amazing and the house is beautiful. We listened to the waves all night. This was just the staycation we needed.

This spot is in a beautiful, peaceful location. We wanted just to relax and be by the ocean. We were able to do both and the trip to town was just minutes by car. The home was very clean and well stocked with dishes, etc. When we had an issue with the internet the host responded immediately. The back deck was such a gem( I wish the weather had cooperated more) and the hot tub lets you look out over the water as you soak. I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend a visit here. I certainly hope to return myself in the near future.

My best friend, pups and I had a wonderful time at the lakeside cottage. It was so cute and the surroundings were incredible!

Great stay at the Atlantic for 9 adults! Beautiful home blending an historic house with modern amenities. 2.5 baths was a blessing on a busy wedding weekend. Highly recommend!

Absolutely stunning place. Extremely responsive and kind host. Lots of dishes, cookware, appliances to use. Extremely comfortable beds. Three pristine bathrooms. Clean fridge. Stellar and stunning ocean views! Perfect all around

This house is extraordinary. The history, the decor, the comfort. The best stocked kitchen we have ever seen (plus an additional half kitchen). This may be minor, but they had lots of extras towels, face cloths and toilet paper. And the views - unbelievable! Alan's support as host was impeccable - as friendly and he was efficient. We will definitely return!

Raquel’s place, “Vista Del Mar,” is absolutely gorgeous!! The open concept of the main level allows for guests to dine and intermingle while enjoying the picturesque view of St. Margaret’s Bay. Raquel was quick to respond to messages and was a pleasure to talk to! A short scenic drive to Peggy’s Cove and Halifax. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone travelling to Nova Scotia. The house was amazing. Very remote and quiet. But only 30 minutes to busier locations with shopping, restaurants, etc. Within 10 minutes, RoseBay Bistro & Market and Dear Emma Pizza (incredible!) provide all you need otherwise. The beach is incredible. Sitting in the chairs at the edge of the beach, over the dunes, is the perfect spot for morning coffee or a happy hour cocktail! The house design is like a piece of art - the many levels and nooks make it a very unique experience. It is well furnished with all sorts of things you might want to enjoy your stay. Very thoughtful. We look forward to a return visit.

You will not be disappointed with this gorgeous well appointed home. We had 12 family members with us and we had plenty of space for everyone ! We were very comfortable in every room. The beds are wonderful with lovely bedding. The views from this home are extra special. Particularly the partially covered upper deck. We watched osprey and eagles flying over water from the comfortable outdoor furniture We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace in the evenings. It’s a serene retreat that we were lucky enough to find on Airbnb Don’t hesitate - true value for money Patricia

We had a great time at the Point House. The house gave us panoramic views of the cove and pond. Hot tub a plus. Emma was very generous, friendly and welcoming.

Above and Beyond Booked this trip for a group of 7 guys in our early 30s, and it couldn’t have worked out better. Everyone had their own bed, and the space was the perfect size for us with all the facilities we needed. The views were stunning. I knew it was on the ocean, but wow - photos really don’t do it justice. While we were there, some of us spotted seals and even saw a whale — a pretty exciting wildlife moment. Not sure how common that is, but it was a highlight for us, being from out of province . Uber does reach the property, which made a night out in Halifax easy, though we also rented a car to get around — both options worked well. Huge thanks to the hosts. We’d love to come back
