Cabin holiday rentals in Rose City

Excellent stay at this Airbnb. If you are thinking of coming to St Helen to ride the ORV trails, this is an excellent choice! It’s right down the street from St Helen Motorsports, two gas stations, 3 restaurants, 2 pizza shops and multiple trail head entrances within 2 miles or less!!! The house looks exactly like the pictures and description, and the hot tub, outdoor fire pit, and indoor fireplace were amazing! I will note….it is a bit on the small side. Beds are as described, but feet hang off the bed and rooms are small. 4 grown adults was pushing it here, especially with one bathroom. Also note. There is BARELY enough room for a small truck and trailer to park in front. The other truck had to park underneath the large garage due to no park space. Other than that, which is really just an explanation, it is the ultimate st Helen stop!

Our stay was great. Directions were accurate and Google Maps found it without any problems. Everything was very clean and welcoming. My wife and I were looking for a comfortable halfway point to take a day that would break up the road trip into 2 nice pieces, which of course one day of rest equals 2 nights of payment. Everything was great during that day of rest. The hot tub was wonderful- It's been years since we enjoyed one. I look forward to staying here again and so does my wife. ps the Rise & Dine restaurant in town was great. Do your life a favor and get the stuffed French toast for breakfast-You're welcome!

My husband spent two nights at this wonderful cabin and so enjoyed our time there! We ate at the boat house for lunch one day and walked the Wolf Creek Trailhead another, but other than that we enjoyed being at the cabin! The backyard was incredibly serene! We read and talked for hours around the bonfire until dark and then hit the hot tub both nights! What a wonderful space to get away and reconnect as a couple! I would absolutely suggest it as a couples get away! ❤️

This was the perfect location to explore Northern Michigan. It was so close to many places we wanted to visit. The resort itself had so many amenities. We loved the pools and the beautiful neighborhoods. I highly recommend it because it’s a peaceful landing spot after a day of exploring the breathtaking region.

Lovely property with an amazing and cute little cabin. Very private, we walked the woods and had bonfires. The hot tub was great! We would definitely come back!

This house was great! It truly had everything you needed and then some! We never know what to expect when we stay at an Airbnb and this was fantastic.

My wife’s family wanted to go to the casino in Standish. We didn’t, but it was an excuse to get away. This is 30 minutes away. As soon as we walked in the door, we fell in love with the place. The smell of fresh pine is everywhere, and it’s real. As I walked through the place, I thought of asking about the process they went through to make this beautiful cabin. There’s actually a picture book on the mantle that shows how they started with an empty shell. Very cool. If you look only at square footage, this is a small cabin. But, they use the space very efficiently. I never thought for one moment that the place was small or cramped. And, this is way better than a cabin at a campground. But, the real highlight is the host. It soon started feeling like we were family. Not family that makes you go to a stupid casino, but someone that’s there for you, always responding within minutes, even at 12:30 in the morning. I wish my family were more like that. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at Wildwood Lodge! The property is on a barely traveled road and feels secluded (only one neighbor is visible but it does not impede on enjoying any of the hang out areas). The house was really well appointed with amenities (towels, kitchen gadgets/utensils) and was kept very clean. Loved the oversized couch to hang out on and then front porch for morning coffee. The small front fenced in area was perfect for our pups. We will definitely be back!

Loved this a frame and would love to make it back one day. The birds sang us awake and asleep each day. The a frame and the property were so cozy we barely left besides a walk down to the beautiful lake

Cant say enough about the cabin and Floyd Lake. If you want a quiet place, nice neighborhood close to all attractions, you will enjoy your stay. Jeffry was responsive to all our questions and made check in very easy. Great place for the whole family, ages 72 to 3..highly recommended..kayaks were a hit.

Beautiful location, secluded in woods. Great spot to go out a warbler tour.

We spent the weekend here for our honeymoon and it was wonderful! It was great to escape for a few nights - we loved the private location & all of the amenities with the cabin (record player, dvd player, coffee maker, etc.) as well as the campfire area. This is very close to Torch Lake, as well as only ~45 minutes from Traverse City so there is plenty to do if you are looking to go out. The cabin was cozy & relaxing, so you may just want to stay there the whole time. I would caution future guests to prepare yourselves for the drive in - it’s hidden in a wooded area, so your car may be stuck in the mud or blocked by fallen trees - just be prepared for that. Otherwise, this was the perfect getaway & we can’t wait to return!

The Yellow Door Lodge was the perfect place to stay for our anniversary getaway 🥰 We were so excited to stay there & once we arrived it exceeded our expectations! It is so cozy, we couldn't get over how nice the finishes were. It is clear a lot of thought was put into it all! Also, the hosts were so friendly & very responsive with any questions we had. Our favorite things were the coffee bar, outdoor firepit, darts & the quick walk to lake access 🤗 We will definitely recommend it to others & would love to stay there again if we have the chance ☺️

We really enjoyed Frank's home. It was clean and welcoming. Our dog loved it as well! Although I was a little disappointed she didn't want to use the doggie bed under the stairs! We had a great time. We walked to the pond and fished everyday. And we were close enough to hike a lot of trails. All in all it was a really nice experience. Thanks for sharing with us Frank!

We reserved this Airbnb so we could attend a Celebration of Life for my dear cousin, who had lived in Houghton Lake for over 35 years. He sadly passed away in February of this year. My husband and I have rented through Airbnb for 10 years, but always further north. We were very pleased with the rental and will definitely rent from them again. Love what they are doing to the back yard and can’t wait to come back up and use the fire pit. The home was very clean, spacious and nicely decorated and furnished. We would recommend this renting this home.

6th year staying at Dennis and Danielle’s cabin in Gladwin. My family loves staying there, great veiw of lake , great size for my families needs there’s usually 8- to 12 of us. We’ve had good luck fishing, 33 inch Pike, huge bass. We rent a pontoon boat! Will be back next year! Thanks Dennis and Danielle

A hidden gem—nestled in the woods, yet close to everything. The charming cabin was spotless, well-stocked, and its back wall of windows opened to an enchanted view. The serene river out back—with a dock, kayaks, and fire ring—made it feel like a private retreat. Our visit was part of a brief family reunion getaway with our two sons and daughter-in-law, and Emily was wonderfully responsive, warm, and accommodating. Though brief, our stay was incredibly relaxing—kayaking, sitting by the fire with s'mores (provided!), enjoying the outdoor shower, and sipping morning coffee on the deck while soaking in the calm. We truly didn't want to leave. Highly recommend this gem to anyone seeking comfort and nature in one perfect spot.

Perfect for what we needed it for! As described, a shack that is secluded in the middle of the woods. We got to bring our dog. The property is great for outdoor activities and having up north fun!

We had a fantastic stay at Gordon’s place in St. Helen! The house was in pristine condition when we arrived—immaculately clean and clearly well cared for. It felt incredibly welcoming and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. Gordon was a great host, and we had zero issues during our stay. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great spot in the area!

The cabin is very nice and very well equipped. Way more equipped than any other place we have stayed. The only complaint I could possibly point out would be the noisy expressway in the front yard. But I knew it was there when I made the reservation and it definitely wont keep me from staying there again!! And the host (Abigail) is very kind and responsive to questions.

Matt and Dayna’s place was beautiful and cozy. Linens and bed were extremely comfortable. They provided everything needed to enjoy our weekend stay along with coffee and some snacks! They were very responsive and we appreciated their local guide book. Had an amazing stay along with a canoe trip down the Au Sable. Thank you so much for sharing your place. Loved looking at all the work your family put into Blue Fern from your before and after photos.

Shawn’s cottage was awesome! My friends and I stayed here for an atv trip and it’s in a great location to do just that. It’s pretty private and peaceful. House was clean and tidy. Great place to stay!
