Its a small room in a basement of the home the host lives in, and is doing a bit of rehab/improvements. So some things that might turn people off include: a bit of "lived in" wear/tear and normal accumulation of dirt, tight squeeze getting down to basement with that normal dungeon basement feel. Bonus for it being quiet home and neighborhood and affordable.

Honestly, the place was terrific. The kitchen was clean and had nice appliances, and a pretty good set of cookware. The bathroom was clean. The bed and room were comfortable. I stayed a month, with mostly the same set of housemates but with a few rooms rotating with new people. The other housemates were courteous. And the host was very communicative with notice when someone new was arriving, so nothing was unexpected. Definitely the nicest of the monthly Airbnb’s I have done. Recommended.

Dewayne and LaRae were lovely friendly hosts, available to answer any queries, if needed. Their place is perfect for a solo traveller like myself but I can see that it would be perfect for small families too. The location is very peaceful and beautiful with an abundance of wildlife on the doorstep. I would highly recommend and I would love to come back some day!

Anupama and her husband are a warm and welcoming couple. They made me feel completely at home and were wonderfully hospitable throughout my stay. They kindly allowed me to leave my bags after checkout, and often offered me beverages whenever they were having something themselves. I really appreciated their thoughtfulness and generosity!

It is wonderful to find a great place to stay, but it is unique experience to meet a like-minded person that loves to travel and experience the world one city at a time. Michael’s communication was always clear and all of his recommendations were not only welcome but useful. His home is very inviting and the lower level guest area was perfect for my needs. If I ever came back to Minnesota, I would definitely stay here again. I do highly recommend his accommodations and local expertise. More importantly to me, I enjoyed hearing his worldly knowledge.
