Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Rotherham District

We stayed for a wedding that was happening locally in Marsden. Flexible check-in made it nice and easy to drop our bags and get dressed before heading into Marsden. Taxi back from Marsden was only £7 and we walked back in the next day to get our car with a pavement running all the way into town. Accommodation was spotless, bed was comfy, shower was hot and powerful. Complimentary coffee and tea. Couldn’t find fault at all. We opted for breakfast the next morning at £15 per person. Included full English, toast & jams, tea/coffee and juice. Was very well cooked. Thank you 😀

Beautiful location. Own parking area. Clean tidy rooms. Bathroom had a jacuzzi bath which was a god send after all the walks. Selection of cereal in room along with plenty of tea and coffee and a pint of milk in the fridge. Claire and Robbie were great hosts. Gave us a run down of Castleton and where to go. Friendly banter and made us feel very welcome. They were very responsive to anything we asked. Highly recommend this as a place to stay as it is accessible to so many walks including Mam Tor and Castleton has numerous pubs and restaurants to choose in such a small area so there is always somewhere to have refreshment and nourish after a walking day. Pablo was very helpful and friendly in answering some queries we had before arrival, his care and consideration continued throughout our stay. The accommodation and breakfast were excellent and exceeded our expectations and the price was very reasonable. Top Class!

The dog friendly bungalow was spotlessly clean. The hosts were very friendly and kind, and it's a great location.

The place was spotless, beautifully styled, and had every little touch that made it feel like a home away from home — and even breakfast included, we felt truly welcomed. It’s clear the host genuinely cares about their guests’ comfort and experience. I can’t recommend this place and this host enough. Nice stay at Andrea’s house! You have to walk all through her home to get to your bedroom which may be off putting for some, however we didn’t mind at all & the bedroom & bathroom are very separate in an extension. We never saw or heard anyone during our stay. Lovely view from the bedroom window and everything you need has been thought of. Although we didn’t meet Andrea she was extremely responsive with any queries and super friendly. The walk is 30 minutes to the Opera House in Buxton so please take this tip if you’re visiting for a show there - make sure you prebook a taxi/Uber if you don’t fancy the walk home after as it’s impossible to get one! Buxton is a lovely place, lots of places to dine & drink and we’d definitely stay at Andrea’s again next time we visit.

Great hosts! Wonderful breakfast, perfect and thoughtful local recommendations, very welcoming, cute village location close to all Peak District tourist spots. Would certainly stay here again and recommend to others. Multiple pubs, bakery, and village shops right on the doorstep. Safe, cute, and comfortable place to stay for our Peak District mini break.

Lovely B&B in peaceful and stunning surroundings. Our room was beautifully decorated, with a very comfy bed and spacious bathroom with great shower. We had the most delicious breakfast and it was nice just to wake up and not go hunting for a place to eat breakfast! My favorite part was sitting on the terrace in the mornings with my coffee or chatting with our hosts! You are nestled away in the country but Bakewell is right nearby to shop and eat. We will definitely return again to this magical place.

The Old Vicarage is a lovely house in a nice village. There are many hikes you can do in the area. We enjoyed traveling the Peak District. The room was very clean and breakfast was great. Tricia was very friendly and welcomed us with a big smile. We recommend staying here strongly.

From the moment we booked, Louise’s exceptional communication made us feel like VIPs. Her hospitality was truly outstanding - warm, welcoming, and attentive. Such a beautiful room, with its cozy interior, was an absolute delight. Every detail reflected a thoughtful consideration to making our stay incredibly comfortable and relaxing. A special highlight was the stunning summer house in the garden. It provided the perfect spot to relax and soak in the serene surroundings whilst playing a game of Scrabble and a cup of tea. A very comfortable bed, and roomy bathroom made for a V.pleasant stay. As others have commented previously, the breakfast that you provided was amazing and plentiful, and it was really lovely to talk to both Louise and Rich for a little while after. True hospitality consists of giving the best of yourself to your guests, and Louise certainly embodies this spirit when hosting. A real treat to stay at this AirBnB… we are sure to return again. What an absolutely fantastic place to stay. So very kind allowing us to check out a little later too. We have finally found where we are going to stay when we come up to visit family. Enjoyed our stay even though it was only one night. Very conveniently located in town and is in a lovely peaceful setting. The room was very nice and very comfortable in a nice garden setting. The parking space was good. We had a good evening meal at the Rutland arms just up the road. The fully cooked breakfast was plentiful and tasty and worth the short walk down the road. We would definitely return again. Thank you.

The canal Inn is the perfect place to stay. We loved the accommodation and everyone who worked there was very friendly and accommodating. Great atmosphere and lovely locals too. Got to meet Lola a local dog would give her 5 paws too if we could. Would definitely recommend for all ages and types of stay. We stopped breifly on our way up to Scotland and would definitely come back again and spend longer.

Leanda & Nigel are incredibly gracious hosts, it's clear that their BnB is their joy and passion. They genuinely care about their guests' comfort and enjoyability throughout their stay. The house itself is absolutely stunning, with pristine gardens and incredible views. The area is also very beautiful with lots of walks and wildlife. Leanda is a very talented cook, so the breakfast was really amazing, we felt so lucky to have stayed several nights to enjoy it! The room we stayed in was super comfortable and well-equipped, with everything we might have needed on a rainy day - TV, tea, coffee, biscuits and delicous cakes (though we were lucky with the weather!). It's so quiet and peaceful at night that we had some really restful nights sleep. Leanda & Nigel really have thought of everything in terms of making it a comfortable stay. This was, by far, the best experience we've had on AirBnB for a long time. We'd do it all again in a heartbeat, and would highly recommend it to others!

Le logement de Joanna est très beau et très propre. Elle pense à de nombreuses petites chose utiles en voyage: sèche-cheveux, bouteille d’eau, mouchoirs,… ce qui est très agréable. La cuisine était aussi à disposition. La maison est à 15 minutes à pied de la gare, dans un quartier résidentiel hors du centre-ville.

This place is AMAZING! we were looking for a place that will quiet and relaxed and close to the peak district and we got that and so much more. this new place is just what we needed. everything was so well planned, the room was clean and the bed so comfortable. Marta's food is incredible and they are both so.nice We can't wait for them to open the Yoga Studio they are planning on for when we can come again we really recommend staying here!!!

What a find. Lovely place ideal for a short stay overnight. Charlotte was very welcoming and easy to get along with. She definitely made us feel at home. Added to this she gave great recommendations for eating out locally. Peaceful location surrounded by fields and yet close enough to get into Newark easily. Accommodation was spotless. Breakfast was delicious and because the weather was so warm we had the added bonus of eating outdoors on the front patio. Would recommend a stay here and wouldn’t hesitate returning if we are ever in that part of the country again.
