Welcome to The Poplars Holiday Cottage, we are located in East Lancashire in a lovely historic hamlet called Hurstwood Village. A rural but not to rural country cottage where you can unwind, rest and relax. If you love walking, cycling again this is the place with many walks and trails on the door step. We can accommodate 3 people having a double room and a single room. There is a lockable bike shed for our cycling guests. Local pubs/restaurants and a village shop is within walking distance.

The Chicken Shed at Knowle Top was newly built in 2019 on the ruins of an old barn and decorated to the highest standards of industrial chic. Situated in a most unique location, high on the Ribble Valley side of Lancashire’s iconic Pendle Hill, it sits surrounded by sheep pastures where hare and fox come to say good-night. Despite this rural idyll, we’re only a five minute car drive from Clitheroe, one of the North-West’s nicest market towns. The views will take your breath away!

Our cosy cottage is the perfect base from which to explore the idyllic surrounding countryside and of course the famous Pendle Hill. After exploring the area you can visit one of the many eateries and country pubs close by, such as Pendle Inn, Barley Mow and The Bay Horse Inn. The boutique shops, stylish bars and restaurants of Barrowford are only a short car journey away.
