  • Wonderful place, great mix of isolation and close to nearby towns/villages. Perfect spot to explore the Pembrokeshire coast and the Preseli hills. Can recommend the butchers in Newport, the Shed at Porthgain, and the bluestone brewery!

The Stable is a recently converted barn in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with great views of the sea and fields. It is a good place for couples, solo adventurers, hikers, bird watchers, seal spotters and stargazers who are looking for peace and tranquillity. The spectacular coastal path is a short walk away. The stable is eco-friendly and comfortable with underfloor heating, modern media facilities and a bathroom that has received much praise from our guests.
This 19th century stable was converted to a small house two years ago. It has one bedroom on a mezzanine. It has great views and is located at the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. It is very quiet here and gets very dark at night.
The Stable is part of Ty Isaf Farm, of which the main farmhouse has not had the restoration it deserves yet. We are not building at the moment. The farm has a private drive off a dead-end road in the pretty hamlet of Llanwnda on the Strumble peninsula.
  • Wonderful second stay at the stable, Florence is a great host and it’s a perfectly quiet and remote place to write with everything you could need. Thank you

  • Great place in an amazing location!

    Daisy2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying at Florence's cottage. We wanted a quiet and relaxed weekend and due to storm Ciara we got just that! The roll top bath and walk in shower were well and truly made the most of and as was the Netflix film subscription! The cottage would be a great couples retreat with a couple of cosy pubs a drive away and plenty of wild walks nearby, we weren't able to take advantage of the gorgeous countryside due to the weather but it was really quite special experiencing the wind and rain from our cosy, safe cottage. I highly recommend Florence as a host, she was kind enough to welcome us shortly after we arrived but we also felt like we had total privacy for the duration of our stay. Thank you so much for having us!

  • Lovely location and wonderful space!

    Vas2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely relaxing stay here. It's totally remote and peaceful. Close to coastal path walks and stunning scenery. The bath, as others have said, is wonderful. Would very happily stay again.

    Dulcie2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • The location was stunning. The stable conversion was absolutely amazing - was such a relaxing weekend in a delightful place to stay. The bathroom was worth it alone without all the other amenities - couldn’t rate this any higher - it’s a perfect place to stay, the only downside was having to leave ! Would 100% return Thank you

    Alexander2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very comfortable stay, the Airbnb was cosy and well-equipped with all the essentials as well as a lovely bathroom and nice hot shower which was great after a rainy walk! Communication from Florence was great, including popping over to say hello on our last day, and there is a useful folder full of maps and suggestions for walks. I will be recommending this Airbnb to our friends and wish we could have stayed longer.

The Tree House is elevated and built amongst the tree tops. It has a cosy, spacious and light ambience . A short walk through a wooded valley, following a pretty stream with a mill pond leads to a quiet and sheltered cove that's good for swimming with a natural diving pool in the rocks refilled with every tide. Or enjoy the spectacular views of the Pembrokeshire National Park. Please note, bookings between 18th July and 29th August 1 week minimum changeover on Saturday.
The unique location and access to the coastal path and cove is a great draw. There is a sense of being in the trees as it’s built on the side of a National Trust valley which holds the highest conservation status. Also, check out our famous tree swing, just below the property. We moved here because we can just walk out of the house with a cup of tea in hand and stroll to the headland in minutes, stepping into wilderness. My dream was to live in a place with nothing between me and the sea.
The house is 5 minutes drive to St Davids, Britain's smallest city, which has numerous restaurants, cafe's, activity centres including some of the best surfing in the UK and heritage sites. The village of Solva, also 5 mins drive or 20 mins walk, is considered one the prettiest harbour villages in the UK with pubs and shops for visitors as well as boating facilities. You can walk to both along the spectacular coast path and get a regular bus back to the Pink House. Guide Book for The Pink House/Tree House and Shepherds Hut This is by no means an exhaustive list of the places I love to visit or eat and drink in: Solva: Mam gu – Amazing Welsh cakes baked on the premises. Lots of different flavours as well as the traditional version. Based on a recipe passed down in the owners family. Also lovely coffee and a variety of herbal teas as well as food. The Lavender Café in Raoul Speeks Gallery. Eat delicious homemade cakes and drinks surrounded by art and Heather’s photo’s. Strong Cuban influence infused with Welsh flavours. Back coast road between St Davids and Croesgoch near Berea. Perennial Garden and Café SA62 6DB – Newly opened and my very favourite place at the moment. Very interesting range of coffees and teas. My daughter had coffee from Lake Atitlan in Guatamala (having swum in this sacred lake on her Gap Year) and I had Earl Grey with Blue Flowers. The tasty sandwiches came with organic salad. You can also buy bags of salad and the most beautiful bunches of flowers. I’ve decided to cycle across the Dowrog Common to get there next time I visit. The Druidstone SA62 3NE 01437 781221 I have always loved “The Dru” as it is affectionately known. A hotel set on cliffs overlooking St Brides Bay. The beach below is accessed down a steep winding path with the best rock pools for blennies we’ve found. Eat in the posh restaurant and watch the sunset or in the cellar bar where you can choose to sit outside on the terrace or in the walled garden. Full of art work and host for various music and drama events. Porthgain Interesting walks through fascinating industrial architecture and coastal walks where you hear and catch sight of Grey Atlantic seal pups with their mothers. http://www.visitpembrokeshire.com/explore-pembrokeshire/wildlife-and-nature/seal-watching/ Here you can visit the Sloop Pub which has a great outdoor sun trap of a terrace. Watch your children playing on the green as you relax and catch the last rays of the setting sun. Or get fish and chips from The Shed – a restaurant that specialises in local freshly caught fish. Nearby is The Blue Lagoon. Enjoy cliff jumping here, the site of the Red Bull championships. Learn how to jump safely first please – google it! My sons friend dislocated both his shoulders by not taking due care. Llys Meddyg - Newport http://www.llysmeddyg.com/ Well worth the 45min trip up the coast for an outstanding meal in the restaurant or cellar bar or outside in the garden. Children and dog friendly. Great art and ceramics. I am bias of course because my daughter Louise and her husband Ed own the hotel and restaurant / Ceramics by Adam Buick http://www.adambuick.com/ (son-in-law)/Art by a selection of the best artists in Pembrokeshire. While you are there visit The Witches Cauldron, an extraordinary geological feature https://www.coastalcottages.co.uk/things-to-do-in-pembrokeshire/witches-cauldron/538/ . On a calm day swim through the caves and arches at low tide. And of course visit Whitesands Bay – café and amenities have not spoilt the natural beauty of this wonderful beach. Watc the local surfers zoom down to the beach when they hear the surfs up. I love the walk to St Davids Head from Whitesands. If you’re feeling energetic walk around Carnliddi or up and over the top. See if you can spot the cromlechs that are littered around – a slight exaggeration! On our little hand written map , where Wrecks are written check out this story http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/621818. The 3 tugs were shipwrecked in 1981 the year before we moved here. My children loved playing on them and its well worth a scramble down the well worn (though not obvious) cliff path to see how the beach is strewn with tortured metal from the tugs. Talking about which- in the inaccessible cove beyond Elephants Head (written about by a travel writer in the 50’s as a place that tourists will flock to in the future like they do to Wookey Hole in The Cheddar Gorge) you may spy smugglers steps hewn into the promontory on the Solva side – my children tell me now how they used to climb down them (my blood runs cold at the thought)!! And before I finish this weeney guide book – I want to tell you how I told my daughter off for exaggerating when she said that the sea was really warm in the cove. I had to apologise because I was astonished to find that it was – and I am a real coldy custard. Because the south facing cove has pillars of black rock that get warmed during the day if the tide’s out, they act like storage radiators and warm the water significantly when the tide comes in at the end of the afternoon. (you’ve got to get the conditions just right though) I hope this gives you a taste of this lovely area and what it has to offer. Please let us know in the guest book what you have enjoyed during your stay here.
  • Cannot recommend this property enough, especially if you have dogs! lovely walks and still central for lovely towns and beaches. Everything you need for a relaxing break is supplied

  • We had a fabulous weekend stay despite atrocious weather. Wonderful treehouse experience in a gorgeous location. The tree swing was a massive hit with my son. We definitely plan on a second stay and a longer one.

    Donna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This Treehouse was like a little peace of heaven on Earth! It was beautifully clean, comfortable and so relaxing! Every comfort had been thought of and there is a library of books to keep you entertained!! We had a small problem with the shower which Elizabeth fixed immediately for us! The wonderful views were so close, only 5 mins along the lane to the most breathtaking scenery!! I have a very demanding job and The Treehouse has an amazing way of making you feel so relaxed! 5 stars!! We will be back!!

The Cwtch, a modern compact studio apartment in a converted outbuilding set in the grounds of a secluded property close to the Rising Sun Inn approximately 1.5 miles from Haverfordwest on the A487 to St.Davids, 6 miles to the spectacular Newgale beach and coastal path makes this an ideal stay for walkers.
The building is yours for the duration, just relax and enjoy the local area. The kitchenette has a kettle, microwave, a two ring hot plate, fridge and washing machine. There is a lovely pub open down the road if you don't fancy cooking. Tea, coffee, milk and toiletries are provided. Wifi is available.
This is a really relaxing area just off the main road to St Davids and 5 minutes outside Haverfordwest it is very peaceful and quiet. Six miles from the coast and a great central location from which to explore the Pembrokeshire National Park.
  • Another great stay while working in the area, great location close to town and just a short drive to the beach, lovely cosy accommodation

  • The room was wonderful and we would be delighted to stay here again. Filled with nice touches and friendly hosts, we felt very welcome and would recommend to anyone visiting this part of Wales.

  • Lovely to return to the Cwtch. Great location for exploring Pembrokeshire and a lovely and cosy hide away from the Welsh weather.

    Charlotte2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay here. Great size for 2 people, very nicely decorated and has everything you need and more. It feels very private and Glyn qnd Jill were very nice. Would stay again :)

    Rena2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Cwtch is a wonderful little retreat! A perfect size for two people. The space was spotless and there were plenty of amenities for cooking, washing etc. Coming back to the Cwtch after cold days of walking and swimming was lovely. Glyn was very friendly and happy to answer any queries we had. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a cosy base to explore the beautiful Pembroke coast. Thank you Glyn and Jill!

    Edward2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed one night here and it is faultless! Easy check-in, Glyn was very nice and friendly and explained everything we needed to know! The off-street parking was awesome to have, and the place itself is like a studio apartment separate from the main house, very warm and insulated! The heart wall is adorable :) the place has everything you could want! Since Glyn and jill had nobody arriving the day we left, we were told we could leave whenever - we had a lovely relaxed morning and are very grateful for their flexibility! Would definitely recommend this place!

  • The fact that this is the third time I have gone for a long weekend here should speak for itself. It is a lovely self contained apartment and (for me) is just perfect for getting away from everyday life four a weekend. The dramatic coast is justa few minutes driva away and penty of ameneties in the local town which is just a mile away.

Walk down the wooded valley right from the back door of this restored historic miner's cottage. Period features like flagstone floors and beamed, vaulted ceilings meet contemporary conveniences such as underfloor heating and a free-standing tub.
A lovely spacious cottage with rustic Pembrokeshire character situated right next to the coast. Two double bedrooms, open plan living area, large kitchen and spacious veranda. The cottage is located close to Nolton Haven, Newgale, Little haven and druidston beach. All of which have pubs and restaurants to suit your needs. The cottage accommodates 4 people. There is a good sized master bedroom with amazing views and a kingsized bed. There is a second bedroom with a comfy double bed with an ensuite bathroom. Both bedrooms have adequate storage and hanging space for clothes. The main bathroom has a stand alone bath, which is great for relaxing. The cottage has an office room which could accommodate an extra guest on a sofa bed. The kitchen is fitted with a cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, coffee machine and all necessary utensils. The open plan living room has a comfy sofa, a "42" flat screen TV, record player, books to browse through and a range of board games. The cottage has under floor heating, access to wifi, internet connection and use of a washing machine and dryer. Overlooking the flowery meadow is the south facing veranda which is perfect for watching the dramatic coastal sunsets. The cottage is situated by national trust woodland, so it is not uncommon to see birds of prey, foxes and the residential barn owl.
Situated in the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park and surrounded by National Trust land, Carren Bach cottage is part of the Southwood Estate. Spot all kinds of wildlife, surf, and discover numerous nearby villages, pubs, and restaurants.
  • Had an amazing 3 night stay in Carren Bach. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, everything is so tastefully decorated. Hot tub is incredible with amazing views. Lots of board games to keep us entertained when the weather wasn't so good. We had absolutely everything we could have needed for a lovely break. Would definitely return.

    Bethany2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • What else to say that hasn't already been said in all of the other 5* reviews? We had a wonderful weekend relaxing and unwinding, even in the rain this place is still magical. As another review said, if you're thinking about booking here, just do it!

    Henry2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re after a stunning, secluded location, yet close to amenities, an increasingly space full of character and are inspiring decor and views.... look no further!! We could have moved in and wished we could have stayed far longer. We hope to visit again in summertime. Watching the sun go down in the hot tub was certainly a highlight I’d like to repeat!

    Mariza2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This property is amazing. No detail is forgotten about and the whole place is stunning. The photos show the property off well, bit don’t do it justice! We stayed during a pretty stormy weekend and the weather actually made the weekend better - the underfloor heating is lovely, the living area is stunning and the light and airy upstairs bedroom has wonderful views, whether the sun is shining or the rain and wind beating down (the feature window!). The owners have kitted this place out so there is nothing you want for, the retro record player was a brilliant touch (along with an excellent and “varied” record collection), as is the coffee machine. Obviously though, the hot tub is the main “extra”, being based in a very cool hut with sliding barn doors so you can enjoy wide views outside whilst being out of the elements if the weather is harsh (as it was when we were there!). It’s amazing to sit sheltered in the hut (with the cool retro decor) whilst the elements do their thing. Would fully recommend this property and we can’t wait to go back in warmer months to enjoy the outdoor spaces (BBQ area, seating deck and lawns).

    Alex2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here with my wife and 1 year old child. Would give it 6 stars if I could, absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend to any couples on their own or with a small child as the under floor heating and cleanliness makes it great for them to crawl around on. The itinerary was great and Emma gave us some ideas for things to do, just think beaches, small towns, coffee shops, pub lunches etc. A must book if you haven’t already stayed here, breathtaking views and you genuinely feel like you’re ’off the grid’ in your own little world.

    Maniel2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very enjoyable experience at Carren Bach. We wanted somewhere to unwind and escape our busy lives. Emma was a super host made us feel very welcome and very helpful. The place is beautiful and very cosy.

    Dafne2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Carren Bach Cottage, which kept us warm and cosy throughout the storm! The rooms were beautiful and the amenities - especially the kitchen - were fantastic. Heated floor was a lovely touch, as was the record player, and we loved the style and decor too - it's clear lots of thought has gone into making Carren Bach a wonderful place to stay.

    Victoria2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a lovely 3 days at Carren Bach. Emma was in contact before we visited making sure we had all the information we might need. Carren Bach was the perfect accommodation, beautifully decorated. We made regular use of the hot tub and record player. We are already planning when we can visit again!

Rogeston is situated in a secluded rural location on a quiet country lane just three miles from the sea and the National Park yet only five miles from the supermarkets and amenities of Haverfordwest. Druidstone, Nolton , Broadhaven and Newgale are our nearest beaches. Being more or less mid way along the Pembrokeshire coast, Rogeston is ideally located for exploring all of the county with its beautiful beaches and attractions for all ages including highlights such as the picturesque seaside town of Tenby and the tiny city of St Davids with its stunning cathedral. There are numerous options for walkers including the spectacular coastal path which runs the length of the Pembrokeshire coast. Woodlands , mountains and estuary rivers provide alternative scenery for walking or cycling. In the spring and summer months a wildlife spotting boat trip to one of the islands is a must. For eating and drinking we are lucky to have the famously quirky Druidstone Hotel with its relaxed and welcoming bar and restaurant ( look out for the regular 'Feast' nights ) only an 8 minute drive or a 45 minute walk from the cottage. The sea view from the garden and restaurant is glorious - the perfect place to watch the sun go down or for a winter lunch. Despite the region's attractions traffic jams are few and far between. Beaches are never overcrowded even in the summer months making Pembrokeshire an ideal destination for a seaside holiday without the crowds. Information leaflets and recommendations are available in the cottage.
  • The perfect place to get away from the hustle & bustle of town/city life! The Stables really is a home from home & we feel well rested & lucky to have stayed there X

  • Highly recommended for a short break. Perfectly situated for Pembrokeshire coast and walks and a lovely bolt hole from the world. Kay has done a fantastic job kitting out and the master bedroom in particular is really comfy. The woodburner is a central part of the experience if cold too! Clean, welcoming and easy to find.

    Tim2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the world. We were visiting during Storm Ciara but felt completely protected against the elements, especially with the unlimited firewood for the woodburner! Lots of thoughtful touches from the hosts, and helpful communication when storm was forecast to meet our trip :)

  • My husband and I (and our dogs) stayed at the Stables for 10 nights over Christmas and New Year. It was so cosy and the perfect retreat to really unwind - as well as being close to some stunning beaches and great places to hike. The kitchen was really well stocked and we were able to comfortably cook Christmas dinner. The shower was great and the bed was very comfortable. Kay’s communication from enquiry to booking and throughout our stay was very good and any questions we had were always answered very quickly. Thank you Kay for a great stay - we hope to come back in the future.

  • A very quiet, calm and cosy place to spend a week - for me in the middle of winter but still enough sunny days for long walks with the dog and to explore the bay. The place has so many nice touches, and great communication from Kay. Would very much recommend.

  • Great hospitality and a fantastic location near city center.

    Robb2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great! Fraser and Fiona and the dogs showed me a wonderfully warm Welsh welcome and I wouldn't hesitate to book again on future travels. Diolch o galon!

    Jessica2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first AirBnB experience and my next hosts have a lot to live up to! The accommodation was charming and spotlessly clean in a great central location. Fraser was very welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was perfect with a comfy bed, very good WiFi and there were thoughtful extras including toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and there was a wide choice of beverages, breads, cereals, jams and fruit etc. Fraser is a great host who went above and beyond to ensure I had a great stay. I couldn’t ask for more and I would definitely stay here again.

  • Amazing location right in the heart of what has to be Wales’s most beautiful (albeit minuscule) city! Room super-cosy and really warm, and breakfast delicious. Highly recommend.

  • Great stay in a gorgeous location ! close to everything and such a cosy and welcoming space ! Fraser was very accomodating and gave great tips on walks and local pubs etc. Would recommend !

  • I enjoyed my stay here - the house is big and very centrally located, the bedroom was comfortable and the shared bathroom was cosy and clean, with lots of small touches to make guests feel welcome. Fraser and Fiona are friendly and welcoming. St David’s is a lovely little city with a few good restaurants, cafes and the stunning cathedral and bishop’s palace, and the beautiful coastline is 20-25 minutes walk away.

    Tammy2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time visiting St. David's and staying here. They are very thoughtful and hospital people. It was really nice to be able to wake up to a nice little breakfast bar. Fraser invited me to see his ska band, which I would have loved to do but I fell ill and needed to rest before I continued my travels through Wales. My train from Cardiff was late so I missed the connecting bus to St. David's in the middle of the country side at night. He attempted to arrange a ride for me even though I was quite far away still. I appreciated the effort and got myself out of the situation eventually with a fellow stuck traveller.

Owl's Nest is our cosy, yet light and airy annex. We are nestled in the heart of farming country on the wildly beautiful St Davids peninsula. The cottage is ideal for couples or young families. It has a comfortable double room and a snuggly bunk room. The kitchen-diner is fully equipped and an uplifting space in which to enjoy breakfast together before you head out. The bathroom is a perfect warm space to wash off the sand before relaxing over supper and getting cosy in front of the log burner.
We provide a complimentary welcome pack including home-made cake, tea, coffee, milk and sugar, as well as bread, butter and a preserve. We can lend you a folding cot, high chair, bed guard or stairgate at no extra cost. Please ask in advance. We do ask you to bring your own baby bedding and reins. Owl's Nest is the first step along the way to converting more outbuildings to create further holiday cottages, including a single storey, two-bedroomed, fully accessible unit with wide-ranging views to the West . Consequently, although there is no building work happening at the moment, we are sorry that we cannot yet offer you dedicated outside space to sit or play. It is a priority for us to try to get this ready by late summer. In the meantime, you may share our space at the front of the cottage, but children and pets need to be supervised at all times.
Make the most of our proximity to the Pembrokeshire Coast path. A short drive will take you to visit blue flag beaches, castles, hills, forests or animal parks. Enjoy peace and quiet with huge, starry skies. Make the most of the slower pace of life. Visit the farmers' markets and wonderful restaurants. Rediscover the joys of rock-pooling. Re-charge by walking the coast and drinking in the fresh sea air and the wildly beautiful vistas. We may be able to help you with a lift to the start or finish of your walk.

  • A wonderful cottage and a very peaceful location. Everything was spotlessly clean and the decor and homelessness of the cottage made it feel very welcoming. A nice touch, the place was pre-heated for our arrival and due to the auto thermostat, stayed lovely and warm our whole stay. Checkin via the key box was good, and Spike (owner) and his dog came to say hello on the 2nd day, and then apart from the we were left to ourselves. The pre- stay info was great from Rachel and then there was a very detailed welcome pack which was also useful. Highly recommended, we would stay her again. Thanks

  • Josh's place was great. Lot's of room & a beautiful location. We didn't get to meet Josh but everything was clear & swiftly handled. The place was clean and had a great, equipped kitchen.

  • A great cottage set just up from the beach. Nice coastal walks either side and pub right out front! Comfy house with pretty much everything you need.

    Dave2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! We loved the setting, the view of the haven and bay, and the privacy. Guillemot is well-equipped, quiet, private and very comfortable. The help 24 hours on hand was reassuring and very friendly. We took our dog, who loved it! Being January, the Brasseries was closed, but the Mariners was open for drinks, and other pubs/restaurants around were open, and we got a Tesco delivery on arrival, which was really helpful. Beautiful beach, slightly scary cliff path (I have vertigo) but all-in-all we'll definitely be back!

  • A fantastic little cottage in an incredible location. We loved our stay here, and are already planning weeks to come back next year. Although the cottage is beautiful, the welcome is warm, and the views incredible, make sure to bring your own tea/coffee so you can relax after the long drive to get there. Also would have been nice to have hand soap in the bathrooms and more than half a roll of toilet paper in both bathrooms - or for this to be stated in the listing. But these are little touches that didn’t ruin our stay in the slightest. We’ll definitely be back!!

    Max2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely weekend stay here. The scenery is beautiful, so close to the beach. Which is clean and great for walks and searching for shells. The cottage was clean and had everything you need while away from home. We would highly recommend a stay here.

    Eira2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage in a small terrace of 4, owners on hand in the office, everything you could want is provided and spotlessly clean, wonderful shower and heating system which we needed for our stay 1st week in October great base for Solva, Broad Haven Haverfordwest, Little Haven and of course Nolton Haven is a lovely sheltered sandy beach and the cottage has wonderful views of the sea. The local stable did horse riding on the beach and people were surfing, swimming and kayaking. Some wonderful walks for the dog. A local place to eat was the cafe in Hilton Gardens which did lovely soup and sandwiches, great for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea we also went round the gardens which are lovely but you don't have to pay to just use the cafe a real gem, oh and the dog was allowed in too! A lovely place to stay anytime of the year. Much nicer than the usual dog welcome cottages as you felt the dog was definitely welcome and accommodated rather than being second class guests. well done Jim. Josh and family

  • Wonderful stay in a beautiful location. Perfect relaxation.

  • Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Deb’s beautiful cottage! It is even more gorgeous than the photos, such a calming place to be. We were there on a very wet & stormy weekend and it was super cosy & comfortable. We ordered a breakfast hamper for Saturday, very worthwhile even if it is purely for the eggs - I swear they helped make the best Eggs Benedict I have ever tasted! We went to The Shed in Porthgain for dinner on Friday night & loved it so much we went back on Sunday before we left! For walks I would recommend Strumble Head - stunning views and, when we were there, no one to disturb the peace! You will not be disappointed booking Deb’s place! Thank you very much for a wonderful stay 😊

    Lucinda2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place. The pictures of The Old Stable are great however when the sun is shining on the sea as your sat in the living room looking out the view really is something to behold. Deb was great in communication throughout, the place was sparkling clean and well designed. We loved our stay and hope to return someday!

  • What a special little spot. The views from this cottage are just magical. The house has everything you'd ever need and was cosy and warm, with the help of the electric heaters provided. We'll definitely be back, even in January. If in the area, try Mrs Will the Fish in Solva, she does a splendid lobster and crab platter to take away. Many thanks, Tom and Tanya.

Pembrokeshire is a popular tourist attraction and has much to satisfy a diverse range of tastes. There is far too much to list everything to do in the local area but loads of information can be found at the Pembrokeshire Tourist Information Centres. Below are a few of our favourite things. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. One of the most spectacular coastal walks in the country and one of the most dramatic sections is all but a 30 minute walk from the cottage. Wild flower and Bird Watching. With it’s national park and conservation areas, coastlines, offshore islands (teeming with puffins, razorbills, shearwaters, storm petrels and chough) and the Pembrokeshire hedges the area is a popular destination for nature lovers. Foxgloves, pink campion, snowdrops, woodland carpets of bluebells, gorses and heathers is but to name a few of the many flowers. These are also the hunting grounds for the buzzards and peregrine falcons that inhabit the area. Seal Watching. September and October are the best months to see the pups, a nice early evening walk from the cottage to one of the best seal watching beaches in the UK stopping to watch the sunset into the sea on the way back from Garn Fawr. You may even see some dolphins, porpoises, whales or basking sharks. Beaches. Walk, cycle or drive to the beautiful pebble beaches of Aber Bach and Aber Mawr, take a BBQ, go for a swim, walk in the bluebell woods or fish for mackerel. Sandy beaches can be easily found a little further away, the beautiful beaches of Whitesands and Newgale are good for bathing, sand castles and surfing. Cycling. Explore the surrounding lanes, beaches and villages by following the national cycle routes or for off road fun visit the nearby Preseli Hills or Llys-y-Frân reservoir . Island Wildlife Visits. Take a boat trip to one of the many islands that surround the Pembrokeshire coast. Ramsey and Skomer Islands are great destinations to see an abundance of wildlife. Eating and Drinking Out. The surrounding area has a high number of very good restaurants and there are many cafes and old world pubs to enjoy. Castles. Pembrokeshire has much more than its fair share of castles. See where the Tudor dynasty was born in Pembroke, amble amongst the ruins of Carew castle and Manorbrier. Visit the unusual 13th century castle at Picton or see Cardigan Castle as featured on the BBC’s Restoration programme. Crafts and Galleries. Pembrokeshire has long been a haven for artists. The large number of quality galleries and craft centres testifies this. Visit some of the galleries and sculpture gardens, spend a day learning how to throw pots or bring your paints or camera and find out why so many artists have drifted to this part of the world.
  • Roomy, bright and clean location on beautiful cottage premises. Absolutely remote. Perfect spot to explore the area and take long walks. We loved the fireplace. Great host. Highly recommended, will come again.

    Arne2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage and the farm is an exceptionally welcoming environment to use as a base to explore the area. Has everything you need, great hosts and plenty of character. Great to step outside any time of day or night and have views of amazing views of the landscape or clear starry skies. A quick venture to nearby Garn Fawr iron age fort is a must, as is Strumblehead, for literally breath taking views.

  • You can expect pure magic at Stones Cottages...at least for me it was this way. I spent a week in Harmony Cottage and was heartbroken when my time was up! I found the space to be both relaxing and inspiring. I traveled to the area to compose music on my guitar and was able to get so much writing done in the cottage. Daniel was super helpful, flexible with check in, plenty of local info and conversation about the place and area. He checked on me and was good to keep me aware of the incoming weather etc. Helped me construct a good fire. So much to explore. I wasn't sure at first when I drove in... it is remote and I do recommend having a car. The two chickens are so friendly and sweet and will come to greet you! The bath was most excellent - bed comfortable. Kitchen was great too. It was a little on the chilly side at times, as I was there in the midst of a winter storm, but its nothing that making a fire in the stove can take care of. There are several walks you can take right from the door. Visit the wool mill and the lighthouse while you're staying, they are close by and you might see some of those costal ponies. I was alone, but there is a lot of room in this place. I could see a family being comfortable in the cottage. I will say the stairs were just fine for me but they are not your average flight, and you should take care on them. I have been in the area for a month and this was by far my favorite stay, and for the price too- I miss it already and will definitely be back. highly recommend for those looking to quiet the mind and explore the wonders of the park.

    Emma2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Dan was so welcoming, and the vases of fresh wild flowers and a jug of milk were lovely to arrive to. The barn has been sympathetically and lovingly converted with so many cute touches like the hand carved wooden door latches, woodburning stove, amazing architectural high windows and beautiful natural soaps. There are all the amenities you would need for a family trip away including a well stocked kitchen and Dan kindly provided us with a travel cot and high chair too. He was also very helpful when it came to local recommendations for walks, eating, activities etc. And the kids loved having the chickens come say hello at the front door every morning. A fabulous place to be based for a relaxing gettaway, within 10 mins drive of Fishguard but staying here felt like a little haven for a few days 💚

    Gwyneth2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is located on a small holding in the wilds of Pembrokeshire. Walks and villages are easily accessible. We had a great time away from our busy lives.

    Ben2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • A well equipped and very cosy cottage. Thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers on arrival and basics such as tea, coffee, milk etc available. .....the very lovely bottle of organic wine was also a very welcome sight at the end of a long drive 😊.

  • Staying at Stones Cottage was a wonderful experience. It was a warm and cosy cottage. We had friendly welcome from the owners (including a bottle of wine, flapjacks, and milk in the fridge!). The location was ideal for coast walks, seal watching (oh yeah, plenty of seal pups!), and some peaceful solitude; a perfect getaway! Even in rainy days, having a cuppa by the fire felt just perfect. It was a privilege indeed.

It was a well equipped and well-designed space and had everything we needed for brekkie including eggs, milk, bread, coffee, tea bags and some spices. Sarah and Ben were kind and very attentive to all our messages and inquiries. The hut was located in a huge field with some horses roaming around and the views were amazing! • Gary’s place is a ‘top of the range’ ABnB, very spacious for large groups, spotlessly clean and ideally located for anyone walking the Pembrokeshire coastal path, or just want to chill with friends and family.

    Michael2018-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish and well equipped house in a fantastic location. Perfect for a holiday with three generations.

    Steve2018-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location, relatively secluded, magnificent sea views with wonderful sun rises and sunsets. The property is extremely well-equipped for people that like to cook and entertain. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the garden is spacious. The whole property is well proportioned and well-suited to family/friends gatherings. Particular attention has been given to letting guests know how things work with useful but discrete information posted around the property. There is a plentiful supply of great games, DVDs and books so no need to bring your own!!! The caretaker also responded promptly when required for a minor problem. We would definitely recommend Ty Llawen and consider visiting again.

  • What a wonderful place!! View was outstanding. The cottage was very clean and had a proper cot for the baby (much better than a travel cot). His sleep was completely undisturbed because he had a proper place to go down at naptime and for the night. Lovely little kitchen with all the amenities so that I could cook a nice dinner for us all. 10/10. We will be back soon.

  • We stayed here in February,so we’re expecting cold weather ,cottage is lovely and warm perfect location with an outstanding view.Teresa met us on first night after we’d settled in and gave us some great information.Thrift cottage was spotless and check in so easy .The cottage is a stones throw from beach and right on coastal path ,we walked into Newgale with our dog Mackie which is a nice 50 minute stroll beach is great and a pub (Duke of Edinburgh)which allows dogs and a lovely place then very handy after a couple of drinks and a meal catching the puffin shuttle back ,there’s also a nice pub opposite cottage .Oversll really enjoyed our stay and David and Teresa are so helpful especially when I knocked on their door at 9:30 am on the Sunday morning as car wouldn’t start ,David had no hesitation in helping us and getting us back on road so Thankyou to both of you and see you in October Duncan,Sarah & Mackie (dog)

  • I arrived at Thrift Cottage late in the evening in the dark which meant I was relying heavily on the directions. I needn't have worried - they were perfect, and Teresa was even outside waiting for me to turn up! The hospitality continued, with a courtesy knock on the door the following evening. The cottage included everything I needed plus a lovely welcome basket of tea and welshcakes, with milk in the fridge. The location is perfect, literally 200m from the beach, with a view of the beach and coastline, and the coastal path within easy access. I had a wonderful couple of days and left feeling restored.

    Sian2019-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • I had an absolutely wonderful time, starting with a warm welcome from the moment I arrived. The cottage was wonderful, really cosy and comfortable and had everything I could need. The location is amazing- literally just off the beach (with private access to the beach!) and the beautiful coastal path, and with breathtaking views. David and Theresa are model air b and b hosts - warm, friendly and clear with all the information provided. I wish I could live here!

  • Jan’s place was wonderful! We had a really comfortable stay. The barn was very clean, beautifully presented and perfect for us. There were some lovely views from the living that we enjoyed every morning with a hot drink. Jan provided us with some delicious local produce, which was a lovely touch that made us feel welcome. She also recommended some great walks and eateries- we had some of the best fish and chips we’d ever eaten at the Shed! Thanks for a brilliant stay!

  • We have just returned from a long weekend at Hannah’s cottage and we were thoroughly impressed with how lovely it was. The space is well set out and everyone, including our dog enjoyed the under ground heating. The back garden is well enclosed which was great for both our dog and daughter. There were lots of nice touches too, such as a welcoming bottle of wine and chocolates! Hannah has clearly put a lot of thought into the property and there were lots of things in place to make our stay easier - we even had a Christmas tree! Communication with Hannah was easy and timely. We thoroughly recommend a stay here!

  • Dairy Cottage provided a very comfortable retreat for our short break in Pembrokeshire. Hannah has thought of everything - the kitchen is well-equipped and the shower is excellent. We enjoyed sitting out in the small patio at the back of the cottage at the end of the day.

  • Highly recommended staying here, it's really cosy and comfortable, with a big comfy bed and a really good shower. You can see the stars really clearly from the windows and small private garden plus we were lucky enough to see lambs playing across the road from the living room. Kitchen has everything you need and the welcome pack was a great touch, much appreciated. Hannah was really friendly and helpful, plus it's got larger cottages and a garden nursery so great for family or just couple visits. Great spot for exploring and really quiet. Would definitely go back and recommend.

  • Tricia is a wonderful host and we had a great stay! It's a lovely location and the room is very clean, spacious and cozy. Tricia left us grapes and welsh cakes in the room, as well as everything we'd need for coffee in the morning. She even has this little fridge with milk next to the room, so thoughtful! Very close to St David's and all the beaches as well, for people who want to explore the area. Really recommend this place, thanks again, Tricia!

  • This is a really lovely cottage in a rural location that is ideal for exploring the beautiful local area. We only went for the weekend but would love to go back for longer next time. The cottage is a great space and everything was really clean. Ieuan and Sandra were very helpful and answered any questions before our visit. They were very friendly and made us feel really welcome. Would definitely recommend xx

  • Wow. What a view! A perfect base from which to explore the Wales coastal path and surrounding areas. Great hosts and a very cosy and characterful cottage, we'll be back :)

    James2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We cannot recommend this place enough. The location is fantastic with some of the best views we have ever had at an Airbnb. There are great country and coastal walks within very easy reach and the cottage is also very close to fantastic beaches. The place itself is very cosy, exceptionally clean and comes with all the amenities you need. We slept very well every night and loved the views from every window! Sandra is a fantastic host who made is feel very welcome and left us a couple of welcome gifts on our arrival which made us feel very at home. We would absolutely stay again!

    Hayley2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of those places where you wake up, look out the window and wish you never had to leave. The vistas from it's place high on the hillside are breathtaking. The on-premise access to the never-ending network of public footpaths in the area means opportunities for exploration are literally on your doorstep, including a 25 minute stroll through fields and pastures to the amenities at Porthgain. The cottage itself is outfitted with comfort in mind: lovely linens, fresh pillows, comfortable mattresses. The two bathrooms (not pictured on the listing) are new and modern, with enviable water pressure! There are two living room areas, one on each floor. This was handy when travelling with a small child who liked to watch cartoons "upstairs". The kitchen is very modern with near-new appliances, including a washer/dryer for clothes, which is handy when the weather turns. Stocked with everything you need to make yourself at home with cooking, entertaining. Unlike some AirBnBs, there is no tea/coffee/sugar - basics that are sometimes handy to have upon arrival on a long travel day. The hosts did leave a pint of fresh milk (in a glass bottle, no less!) and some delicious welsh cakes with a bottle of wine. So thoughtful. Ieuan and Sandra are seriously top-notch hosts who went above and beyond any expectations, including delivering fresh apples from their gorgeous orchard. This is the best AirBnB experience I've had. We hope to return some day.

Nolton Haven Farm Cottages lie within the centre of the Pembrokeshire coastline, with our private complex of six cottages set in a stunning and unique position with our grounds extending to the waters edge offering direct access to the sandy beach and coastal path. This magical beachfront location offers the perfect destination for couples, families and friends alike. Rose Cottage enjoys its own garden and patio area, perfect for taking your morning coffee, afternoon tea or evening bbq.
Rose is a single storey cottage with a step between spaces, the cottage has two bedrooms located at either end with an open-plan kitchen/diner and lounge in the centre. French doors lead onto a tiered gravelled and lawned seating area enjoying lovely sea views.
  • I am a tad reluctant to leave a review for this idyllic haven just in case anyone pinches any time I may wish to rebook. Nestling between large sandy beaches is this little treasure. It truly is a haven in every sense of the word; an inlet providing shelter for boats and also a place of safety, refuge, sanctuary and retreat. We arrived as wizened grey creatures and left this morning completely re-juvenated even if somewhat depressed at the thought of what next week brings. The hosts are delightful and nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is perfect. My bed was adjacent to the window so when I opened the curtains in the morning the first thing I saw was the sea. What more could anyone ask. We were enchanted by this area of Wales and still can’t get over The Bitches.

The Lower Coach-house is situated on the slopes of a wooden valley overlooking the fishing harbour of Lower Town. It is completely self contained offering a haven of peace and quiet with sea views from every room. The apartment, below the owners home is part of an attractive characterful, stone building, approached by a flight of stone steps. It is comfortable furnished and has an area of lawn and patio with views towards the harbour. There is about 100m to the town square and Coastal Path.
Fishguard is the site of the last invasion of main land Great Britain. Goodwick the twin town is the ferry port to Ireland. It's a friendly place with about 15 pubs, restaurants and we have a Folk festival in late May and Jazz festival late August
  • Richard and his wife Hazel are warm and helpful hosts. Richard picked me up from the station and brought me back. In between he brought me to a nice starting point for a walk. Both were always responsive when there was a question or a small problem. The location is very good with a view to the sea. The buses and the supermarket are only a few meters away. The kitchen has everything you need. You can get along well without a car. And if you want to get to know the beautiful old pubs all around, then ask Richard.

  • Abereiddy The location is great for accessing the many small villages/towns along the coastline. St David’s Cathedral is a must. Aberporth has a lovely beach where dolphins are regularly seen, Abereiddy has the Blue Lagoon and Pothgaine a lovely port and old industrial buildings as well as a popular fish n chip restaurant and cafe. Fishguard itself has several fabulous cafes all of which do a lovely coffees. Pubs are worth a look in and Fish@31 (if I remember correctly) do a super piece of cod. Accommodation is a bit dated but clean, the kitchen is well equipped for own catering needs and bed comfortable. Richard and Hazel are great hosts and very helpful, nothing too much for them.

Glowty – sleeps 2 (+2, by arrangement, at a cost of £15 per bed, linen and towels included). Glowty is a 5 Star Visit Wales Graded luxurious converted stone barn with spectacular views across the peninsula from the Preselei Mountains, across Milford Haven to St Brides Bay & Skomer and Ramsey Islands, boasting eco credentials with a new RHI biomass boiler. **PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A £10 PER DOG PER STAY CHARGE. The cottage provides mainly ground floor accommodation with the addition of a first floor crog loft. There is a large bedroom (with kingsize bed); bathroom (with bath/shower); lounge/dining room with dining table and chairs, French windows leading to patio; kitchen which is off the lounge/dining room fitted with integrated electric oven/hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, and microwave. We are on site to help with anything if needed, so if you are short of something please let us know.
The whole peninsula is only 4 1/2 miles wide, so you are never very far from anything. It's just over a mile and a half into St Davids where you can find most things you need. There is a great deli - St Davids Food and Wine, which is where we get the selection of Welsh cheese and organic loaf to welcome you on arrival. There is The Veg Patch with great selection of fresh veg and fruit and Rob Davis the Butchers, great meat and homemade good. There is a good local supermarket - CK's and great local eateries, cafes, clothes shops and galleries and more.
  • We had the loveliest weekend getaway here. It felt like a dream—waking up with a view of farmlands, horses (and a donkey!), and the sea off in the distance. The cottage had everything we needed, including a bed that was dangerously comfortable. Jan and her husband were incredibly kind and thoughtful. Especially when we called late at night because we were lost!! Jan was so patient while explaining how to find the cottage in the dark. We felt so welcome and at home. It’s such a quick drive to St. David’s, and the cottage is absolutely gorgeous and had everything we needed. Gandalf the goat was a personal favourite. We can’t wait to come back :)

  • We loved Glowty - it’s perfect for two or a small family. Light and spacious , well designed, beautifully furnished. Fab views across the countryside to the sea. Jan and John are just lovely. They looked after us so well and made a special effort to take the time to find out about dietary requirements and leave us a special selection of local produce. We had a fantastic peaceful weekend break - amazing walks, wildlife - and very close to StDavids. Thanks Jan and John!
