Casa do Sapateiro

Welcome to Casa do Sapateiro! This green retreat is located in a small village at the foot of Serra dos Candeeiros, an hour's drive from Lisbon. It invites you to enjoy the surrounding calm, cool off in the pool, read a book in the patio room amidst the plants, or have a glass of wine in front of the large fireplace. Being an old house integrated into the village, it was renovated in 2007 and since then enriched by the affection of my parents who made it a true green oasis overlooking the mountains.

Located in Ourém, Quinta da Luz is an authentic rural retreat, surrounded by nature, tranquility and Portuguese tradition, just minutes from Fátima, ideal for rest, spirituality and unique experiences. Quinta da Luz is more than an accommodation, it is an experience in the heart of the Portuguese countryside. Here, the weather slows down. The days are marked by the sound of nature, the smell of the wood-fired oven and the soft light that surrounds the farm. It's the ideal place to rest, reconnect.

With a vast cultural and landscape heritage to explore, the place is great for families or groups of friends who enjoy nature and/or want to explore important historical cities around. It is a completely self contained, comfortable space with it's own entrance. Every window and both terraces have beautiful country views overlooking orchards and forest. It is quiet and serene and yet within walking distance to a lively cafe which serves excellent meals. It is 15 mins to the beach and 5 mins to the lovely town of Caldas da Rainha.

Abrigo do Moleiro: Romantic Windmill from 1895

Classified as a national monument, this emblematic mill of Peniche had, since 1895 and for decades, agricultural and industrial use. Currently, completely renovated and known as “Abrigo do Moleiro,” it is a welcoming space for tourists from all over the world, providing unique memories to those who stay overnight.
