Self check for convenience Tiny cabin with all you need squeezed into it for pleasant stay. It is located on a secluded property not far (5 miles) from major interstates. It is a small guest house across the lawn from our house where my wife and I live. It has window AC and wifi available. Free continental breakfast foods provided. (There is no kitchen) Cleaned to perfection ! We do spray for bugs but it is not unusual to see some spiders and bugs since the cabin is right against the woods.

Little House in the Big Woods

This is a carriage house where you will feel very comfortable in the newly renovated home. It is secluded and peaceful with beautiful wooded views but a quick drive to grocery stores and restaurants. Walking up a set of steps will feel a little like a house in the sky. It overlooks the mountains. There is a beautiful deck to sit outside and enjoy that view and the peace and quiet. There is a fire pit located on the property to continue that cleansing of all stress and worries.

Orchard Guesthouse

Private, cozy cottage with lots of extras. Wake up after a comfortable night's sleep to a breakfast of eggs from our chickens, prepared in a well-appointed kitchen. Kitchen, bath & bedroom refreshed in 2026. After a day of sightseeing relax on the patio with a glass of wine & dinner prepared on the grill. This mountain house is located at an elevation of +2,900 feet; hands down, the Midway Chalet is the premier vacation chalet on Blue Knob Mountain and all of West Central PA! Located in a residential section of the Blue Knob ski area, our privately owned house is surrounded by the quiet of the mountains. Our home has four (4) bedrooms plus a bunk room that will accommodate up to 3 families or a group of up to a maximum of 10 adults.

Glamping Pod

Escape to nature in a cozy glamping pod, offering the ideal mix of comfort and adventure in a peaceful setting. Each pod features a queen-size bed, a mini kitchenette with a coffee maker and microwave, and a dining table for two. Pods are equipped with heating and cooling, electricity, and WiFi. Though there's no bathroom inside, our luxury bathhouse with private stalls is just a short walk away and visible from your pod.

Come & enjoy our open concept kitchen & living space which includes 3 bedrooms (upstairs open loft, 2 bedrooms downstairs), 1 1/2 bathrooms, a floor to ceiling wood burning fireplace, 3/4 wrap around deck with seating and a fire pit in the yard.

We have extensively remodeled this special home and brought it forward from the 1960s while maintaining its character, including the original wrought iron railing and open vaulted living room. We've also incorporated some elements of Altoona's history into the home. It's the perfect cozy and welcoming space to rest and relax whether traveling for work, visiting family, or exploring the beautiful surrounding area.
