  • This studio was everything I wanted and more. It was super cute and in a great location. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Vanessa was great, responded back quickly when I had a question. The thoughtful touches were so welcoming and kind. We were pleasantly surprised with a few cookies, some wine and a note that said happy birthday (she knew I was coming for a friends birthday). I would not only love to return but I would highly recommend this place to everyone. Loved loved loved!

  • Lovely home, very cozy!

    Brittney2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was so cute & a perfect location for great wine tasting! Hosts were attentive when I had a question. The only thing I wish was there was a microwave, but I didn’t check the listing before I booked. Not a big deal. Absolutely loved the home.

    Kelly2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very nice and relaxing and well-decorated. For some people in our group, the road noise was a bother, but not for others. They did provide ear plugs, which were helpful.

    Sarah2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Joyce and Brittany’s home! The attention to detail throughout the space was much appreciated and communication was always clear and timely. The only potential issue is the car noise coming from the road but it dies down at night and they are thoughtful in providing ear plugs for any light sleepers. We can’t wait to return!

    Nicholas2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was lovely! Joyce was helpful in making check-in easy, and responsive to any questions I had!

  • Great stay, very cozy!

    Aaron2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Joyce was an excellent host and the house was delightful! Check-in and other instructions were super clear and thorough, the house was full of pleasantly surprising features and amenities, and although the location isn't quite central it was very easy to get back and forth from the heart of Calistoga.

    Scott2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Just, wow! I have stayed here several times now and it just continues to get better. Joyce truly makes this a lovely experience from start to finish. She has thought of absolutely everything! I can't wait to return!

The winter creek, meadow and redwoods are stunning! New plush carpet! Large, flat screen satellite TV and automatic fireplace. Electric gate opens to beautiful acreage. 12 minutes to Calistoga or Santa Rosa. The perfect distance to sample local wines or beer. High quality, and comfortable bedding. Sleep to the sound of running water. Watch nature outside your wall of windows. Large space- 900 sq ft with kitchen area, Keurig with K cups or coffee maker, brand new BBQ, and your own washer/dryer.
We'll give you a code to the electric gate and key box. So, you have easy access to come and go. We provide an electronic Guidebook and tons of brochures so you can plan your stay. Enjoy the entire south facing unit which has a wall of windows. All windows have wooden privacy blinds, but don't worry, you can't see any neighbors, only nature! We've seen deer and grey squirrels (daily), rabbits, red tailed foxes, raccoons, and other critters. It's so quiet that you'll sleep like a rock. In the winter the creek creates lively water sounds right outside your windows. But year round we have a waterfall and fountain for pleasing water sounds. We are close to many wedding venues and Uber works here. Free WiFi and Direct TV provide modern convenience in a quiet, natural location.
Wedding Venues nearby: French Oak Ranch 8 minutes, Hans Faden Winery 7 minutes, SSS Ranch 10 minutes. Both Uber and Lift work here! This is Sonoma/Napa Counties! It's a relaxed Wine Country atmosphere. (We are one mile from the Napa county line.) Jeans and boots will take you everywhere in the winter, shorts in the summer. There are many upscale restaurants and you may need nicer clothing for those at night. Just let me know if you have any specific questions.
  • Very nice property nestled in among the forest homes in a very quiet area!

    Robert2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • The view, cleanliness and hospitality were fantastic! Our stay was absolutely charming and second to none!

    Don2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful oasis of serenity and rest! The place is really big, ~900 sqf. We loved having the coffee bar and a well stocked mini kitchen and keurig coffee machine. It was great to have a full sized table with a gorgeous view on the lush redwoods and creek and a full sized sofa. A pleasant surprise was the 100+ video's and dvd's. We enjoyed our peaceful stay at Amy & Tom's place and will definitely come back for another dose of R&R. Easy 10 min drive into Calistoga, and even at night no problem finding the location on our way back.

    Stijn2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in Amy and Tom's lovely home. The room is very comfortable, with all the amenities, and the setting is magical. If you're a beer drinker make sure to stop by the family-owned Barrel Brothers Brewery in Windsor, which has delicious beers and friendly hospitality.

    Tom2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The place is beautiful and peaceful. To be in the middle of the redwoods with the winter creek running past our balcony was an amazing scene to come back home to. It's less than a 15 min drive from Calistoga downtown so it's very convenient if exploring the vineyards and attractions in the area. Everything was very clean, with attention to detail and comfort for guests. We look forward to staying there again when we go to visit the area.

    Francis2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We were there for an MLK weekend getaway, so we got to see the lovely stream flowing nicely after recent rains, and contributing to a peaceful feeling about the place. Tucked into the woods on the end of the street, it is miles away--physically & psychically--from the town of Calistoga, or for that matter from Santa Rosa. Didn't mean to be rude to our hosts, but everything was self-explanatory and well laid out, so had no problems and no real need to bother them. We came and went a lot, and it was restful and peaceful inside late afternoons and evenings, ensconced on the peaceful wooded hillside. Spent most of our time in Calistoga--felt a little 'Rip Van Winkle', as it had been decades since I'd been there and everything changed from what I remember. Restaurants are more varied and higher quality. There are more spa offerings--we enjoyed a good deal from Calistoga Spa Hot Springs; they let you use the pool all day and can bring in food/drinks, even booze...just keep glass away from pool areas. And...there are more people coming here. Clearly they had the same idea in mind that we did, and did lend to some congestion. Take-home lesson--plan ahead and make reservations early to get better spa or wine tasting appointment times. (It was a 'wine passport' weekend as well, so a number of folks were here for that.) Start early as lots of wineries and parks close early-ish (may be more important in winter, since the sun is gone earlier too.)

  • Amazing place to stay. Very private space. 2 adorable and friendly dogs around. Magical backyard with creek, trees, and a light show at night! Very comfortable, easy to find, friendly, quick responses, a beautiful drive, an oasis not too far outside of town. Lots of gorgeous places to visit within driving distance.

Loved the soaking tub, bed was cozy, everything was warm and peaceful, and we got to get a little wine tasting in. Also took full advantage of their breakfast and evening bites and I’m still dreaming of those waffles. Thanks for an amazing stay!

  • Our stay in Alameda and Kendall's home was more than special. I am so happy I found the perfect place to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday! The house is warm, beautiful and comfortable. We loved all the details, we enjoyed our time inside and outside the cottage, we loved the outdoor space as much as the indoor details and comfort. I really appreciated Kendall's tips as well. Our stay couldn't have been any better than this, and we are so excited to come back soon, as well as to recommend this fabulous place to our friends. Calistoga is a great place to be, there are incredible restaurants and wineries. We also enjoyed hiking around. Honestly this one was one of the best Air BnB experience I ever had !

  • "The cultivation of trees is the cultivation of the good, the beautiful and the ennobling in man." - J. Sterling Morton I have to agree with Mr. Morton on this one and this home is evidence of that statement. A hidden gem, nestled in to a small haven, adjacent to a grove of olive trees, shaded by magnificent ancient Oaks, and cradled by a babbling creek. It felt amazing being here. So peaceful and serene. It is a place where time stops and meanderings, musings, and inner life begins. The home itself is a curiosity of things past, filled with antiques, cultural artifacts, art and books; all contrasted by the very stunning and modern architectural design of the interior of the home. It is as if home and landscape serve the common purpose of lifting the spirit and the mind of the man or woman within. The host was fantastic, helpful, gracious, considerate, dotting... absolutely the quintessential definition of host. Every detail carefully attended to. The amenities were abundant and of unexpected quality. It was truly the most amazing home and host experience by far. We highly recommend this priceless experience.

    Vladan2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was exactly what my girlfriends and I were looking for and needing! The home was more spacious than we expected which made our 4-day stay very comfortable. The couches, blankets and throw pillows are so beautiful and cozy, we really didn’t want to leave. And the back patio was. Great spot for morning coffee and tea, of which there were plenty of options in the pantry! We also walked around the property quite a bit because the weather was beautiful and we wanted to get outside in the fall leaves. Beds were all very comfortable, including the pullout couch, and the shower pressure was lovely :) Oh, and the town of Calistoga, about 1.5mi away is adorable and full of fun tasting rooms and dining spots. At our hosts recommendation, we walked into town one of the mornings which was a great way to walk off some of the previous night’s wine and see the vineyards nearby. Fantastic experience!

    Megan2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Alameda's house is vintage, comfortable and sits in a secluded site under ancient oaks with a stream running next to it. It is rural and quiet and only minutes up the hill from Calistoga.

    Ken2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was absolutely perfect for our wine vacation - a little off the between trail but close enough to everything (the perfect combination of privacy and accessibility). The beds were super comfortable with good linens (I’m a bed snob!) The cabin and the land surrounding were bursting with charm. Our hostess was super-quick to respond to questions and even warned us of a brush fire fire close by. We loved staying here and would definitely recommend!

    Sandy2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great quiet Airbnb. Beautiful building off the beaten path. No cell reception which was an issue for a conference call I planned but otherwise we had a great stay. The only comment is there was no blinds so it was hard to sleep in. Minor thing but worth mentioning.

  • Our family had an amazing time!!! As we were driving down a long winding road we had no idea what to expect of the property location however when we pulled up to the property we were all blown away by it’s beautiful location and curb appeal! We had dinner out on the patio overlooking the vineyards and hills, then sat down relaxing next to the fire pit. The interior of the home is warm, comfortable and inviting. The host has a tablet available with all home instructions and recommendations. The bathrooms were really clean and the beds were very comfortable to sleep in. I can go on and on however I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, please go stay here and check it out for yourself! We hope to stay here again on our next Napa trip!

  • This place is a perfect spot to stay in Calistoga. Tucked up in the hills with amazing views of the valley as well as sitting in the midst of some vineyards is a nice touch of ambiance for this amazing place. Will definitely be staying here again!

  • Very clean house with nice views of the surrounding mountains.

    Paul2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in a vineyard.. stock up on groceries and things you need when you arrive- not an easy drive from town and restaurants.. the house itself is gorgeous and worth spending some time doing a picnic on the deck overlooking the mountains and vineyards

  • This is a lovely place. Our family of four fit perfectly here. Beds were comfy, with nice linen and blankets. We loved the gas fire pit and the deck. The setting was picturesque and a wonderful place to experience wine country. Fully stocked kitchen. The hosts answered us quickly but did not hover. we left something there and their cleaners found it and they have ofered to mail it back. That is amazing service! Above and beyond.

    Beth2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very pretty space that was clean, quaint, cozy, and would have been super romantic had I not been with a bunch of family. The host really took care of us during this trip and was very quick to respond when we ran into unexpected problems. They helped us through everything. My husband and I plan to be back in the future.

The Calistoga Inn was built in 1887 as a European-style hotel for travelers to Calistoga. Owned by a mother and son duo since 1989, the Inn has undergone a renovation that has brought it into the modern era. The rooms remain "shared-bath" and are simple, clean and quaint, while also maintaining their affordability. Spend time at one of our three bars or dine with us in our newly upgraded dining room or our main patio, which offers the best al fresco dining experience in the Napa Valley.
Conveniently located on Lincoln Avenue, the main street of Calistoga, the Inn has 17 hotel rooms with shared-bath accommodations down the hallway. We also have one private cottage with en suite bath, cable TV and air conditioning, so feel free to inquire about availability.
Calistoga is the crown of Napa Valley. Enjoy a day of wine tasting, then come settle in at one of our bars for a cold beer brewed right here onsite by the Napa Valley Brewing Company. Right down the street is Pioneer Park, and during the summertime, every Thursday evening is 'Concerts in the Park'. Make sure to get there early to drop off your blanket: it fills up fast! And of course, make sure your picnic basket is complete with a bottle of wine from one of our local wineries or a six pack of our hand-crafted beer! About the Owners My mother Rosie (of the famous Rosie's Café in Tahoe City) and I have owned and operated the Calistoga Inn since 1989. We're both active in the community where I've served as the vice-mayor of Calistoga for the last fifteen years and Rosie served as a city council member for five years before me. We are dedicated to elevating the experiences not just of locals, but for the many tourists who make their way to Napa Valley each year. While staying at the Inn, we hope you'll enjoy one of our hand-crafted beers, which are brewed onsite by the Napa Valley Brewing Company. We also have an extensive wine and cocktail list. The Inn offers a variety of venue spaces for you to enjoy throughout the seasons. We have an indoor sports pub, vintage dining room, new inside/outside patio bar, beer garden and the best al fresco patio dining scene in the Napa Valley. -Michael

  • Stayed on a weekday for 1 night off season. Shared bathroom was clean. I may have gotten lucky and was the first one to use it. Only 2 stalls for the womens toilet but again clean. Individual rooms were also very clean. Loved the wooden floors. Continental breakfast was simple some pastries and cereal. Coffee was very good.

The restaurant and brewery downstairs is lively with excellent food. The location is right on the main drag at Lincoln Avenue and also walking distance to many taprooms. Would stay here again.

  • It was such a perfect trip! Calistoga Inn is located right in the middle of town and is so charming. Yes, the bathrooms are shared, but they were super clean and it didn’t interfere at all with our stay. Each morning, there’s coffee and fruit downstairs ready to go, which was super helpful. It was so nice to have a place to stay in Calistoga that is reasonably priced. We loved our stay!

Comfortable vintage cabin in the woods...Tucked into the mountains between Napa & Sonoma Valley's: 7 miles from house to downtown Calistoga; 10 miles to downtown Santa Rosa, for parties of 4 maximum ONLY. NO cleaning fee at check-out, check-out instructions provided. NOTE: NO WiFi nor Cell-Service...This is a rugged, densely forested area. A Land-Line is provided for incoming and outgoing calls. Enjoy the serenity of total privacy in the forest in the middle of wine country!
Very Secluded, private, forested location!! Our 1960's vintage rustic mountain cabin is tucked deep into the forest, surrounded by 100' tall firs. Located in the mountains midway between Napa & Sonoma valley's. 1.5 hours from San Francisco, in the heart of the wine country, a short drive via windy country roads to neighboring towns of Calistoga, St. Helena, Glen Ellen, Kenwood, & Sonoma, and numerous parks for hiking. The Cabin: Easy Self-Check-In is available, and complete Check-Out-Instructions are provided to guests. Maximum guest party size is 4 ONLY. The home sleeps 4, and there is only ONE bathroom. 2 bedrooms w/ queen beds located within the house. A 3rd bed (full-size) is located in the Garden Cottage. It is suitable for summer lounging, as winter temps drop quite low. The Luxe Garden Cottage, a few steps through the garden in a detached outbuilding, offers a 3rd full-size bed. The Garden Cottage outfitted with heat and electricity, is suitable for summer/warm weather lounging...but a bit chilly in the winter months. The living room has a woodstove/fireplace and large flat screen TV/Satelite/DVR, and looks out onto the garden, garden cottage and forest beyond. The kitchen is large, fully equipped, and great for dining in and has bar seating. Just outside the kitchen and living room is a large deck with gas BBQ and outside seating. The Area: Down the hill to the West, Sonoma Valley/Hwy 12 (~6 miles) Down the hill to the East, Napa Valley/Hwy 29/128 (~6 miles) Each abundant with wineries large and small. Explore side roads and discover places not on the map. State parks in both valleys...Hood, Sugarloaf, Annadel, Bothe, R.L.Stevenson, Jack London, hikers heaven. This rugged forested area makes Cell Phone service unreliable, and there is NO internet. There is a Land-Line provided for your incoming and outgoing calls…or to make a restaurant reservation. This is an ideal location for couples or small groups wanting seclusion and comfort, surrounded by nature…all within a short drive to anywhere in the wine country. TOT#3550N

  • Wonderful time at that mountain hideaway. I slept so much and was so relaxed - and being without internet was a plus. When we wanted to be among people and in civilization, just went down into Calistoga for delicious food and wine, shopping and spa treatments. Matt has really fun decor that adds to the charm of this special place. Matt was also so helpful and responsive in communication before and during our stay. Thank you for providing this spot for a really special weekend.

  • A wonderful and peaceful refuge!

    Marguerite2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Matt was a great host - such a great communicator, especially when there was an unexpected power outage the first night of our stay. Matt's spot is perfect for two couples (that don't mind sharing a bathroom) and for exploring the Calistoga area. Wonderfully quiet, spacious deck, etc.

    Miranda2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Home sweet home... Away from home and a well appointed retreat amidst a bohemian enclave & expansive forest. Loved the whimsical touches and artistic installations the host has placed throughout the property.

  • Matt's place was cozy and comfy and clean. Loved the seclusion, the trees and how it's not that far from Calistoga. Incredibly peaceful place. Would love to come back.

  • We had an amazing time there! Matt was amazing, he checked on us to make sure we found the place when we first arrived and gave us great suggestions of places to eat. We found his house super cute and charming and helpful at the same time, he had notes everywhere to show us how to use the amenities around the house and the maps he left for us were super helpful since we had no reception. I also really enjoyed the books he had around the house, and the view from the porch was amazing! We cannot stress enough what a unique and amazing place Matt has! It is definitely a great place to stay at!

    Jazmin2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • The host Matt was superb from beginning to end...I love all the small attention to details before, during and after...especially all detailed instructions and local recommendations on everything you can think of. The place was magical, deep in the woods, and I love that there was no service or wifi as the digital detox was very much needed and rejuvenated our well-being. Loved how you decorated in the inside and outside house, was super cool. Matt and the place are incredible and nice to be tucked away from everything yet close drive to everything. We loved it all!!! Thank you!

  • The Bungalows were a lovely place to spend a few days in Calistoga. Bungalow C is very comfortable and cute inside and the back patio provided a nice little bit of peace outside as well. The location is great and close to the downtown area and we had a great meal at Evangeline on their recommendation in the guidebook. Check in and out were very easy and very nice to have the parking spot right out front.

  • Super charming and cozy bungalow - great for a little weekend escape! It was beautifully designed and the beds (even the pullout couch) were super comfortable. The mini backyard/patio situation was awesome, it was a great place to hang. The location was alos perfect: Sam's Social Club (great food/vibe) is practically next door and it's just a short walk into town. Check in/out was super easy, we loved the whole experience and Henry and Bea seemed super friendly & nice. Thanks!!

  • What an excellent place to stay. We had 2 adults and 19 year old son whom weceete returning to the CIA for 2 year. Traveling from the east coast we prefer house to stay and this was every bit as expected, described and pictures tell it all. Close to main street shops and restuarants, wish we had more time to stay! Quiet neighborhood and the hosts checked in to see if any issues or things to do. Can't wait to return next April for graduation!

Located upstairs at the side of the house, this charming room has a romantic full size four poster bed. Small private bath with shower. Two night minimum stays usually required for Fridays and Saturdays or premium rate for single Fri. or Sat.
Every stay includes our renowned breakfast, fresh from the pages of Gillian's cookbook - Inn Food, as well as complimentary bottled water, hot drinks, afternoon wine service, Wi-Fi and free use of our Calistoga wine shuttle.
At the very top of the valley sits the small country town of Calistoga. Despite its roots as a spa town for vacationers it remains the most authentic of Napa Valley's small towns. Here the valley narrows down to give stunning vistas of the Palisades cliffs as you look to the east down the main street of Lincoln avenue. To the west the view is of the gentle wooded slopes of the Mayacamas range. The next town south is St. Helena. Known to the locals as the Rodeo Drive of Napa Valley its the place to shop for that special, expensive, something! St. Helena also offers some outstanding dining experiences. Moving further down valley you pass through the villages of Rutherford and Oakville, with a number of more rural lodging choices, until you reach the small town of Yountville. Riding the coattails of the world famous French Laundry (the only restaurant we cannot get you a reservation for) the town has attracted many great restaurants as well as larger lodging establishments and a scattering of smaller bed and breakfasts. Surrounded by vineyards and some of the finest wineries in the valley Calistoga is a great base for wine country touring, dining and of course the world famous geyser, spas and mud baths.
  • The Inn blew our expectations out of the water. The inn was so cozy and comforting. We enjoyed spending our mornings in the breathtakingly beautiful garden, and evenings in the common room. The inn is the perfect location for walking around the area. We appreciated the availability of the shuttle, which encouraged no drinking and driving! It’s also nice to be able to sit back and enjoy the beautiful view. Last but certainly not least, was the breakfast! Holy smokes... the chef’s cooking blew me away! Cheers to him. We will definitely be back for another stay.

  • We loved staying at Nick and Gillian’s. The location is perfect, very walkable to the town of Calistoga with things to do and some good local restaurants. The house was warm and inviting. It felt like stepping into the home of a friend, immediately inviting and approachable. The guests were quite and friendly and the hosts were helpful and inviting. The backyard is stunning and a great place to unwind. The best part of staying at Wine Way Inn is by far the breakfast!! It was so incredible to wake up to a home cooked breakfast, sourced locally, served family style. We loved speaking to some of the other guests and getting to know them! We would definitely visit again!

  • The Wine Way Inn was a fantastic getaway in quiet Calistoga. We enjoyed the seclusion of the Calistoga Room and look forward to coming again when it is a little warmer, so we can fully enjoy the beautiful deck. Wine Way’s breakfasts were exactly what we needed to start our wine country vacation out right, and the local wines in the evening were a nice touch to round out the afternoon. We very much enjoyed our stay.

  • Nick was an outstanding host. His location was perfect. His home is comfortable and absolutely beautiful. The breakfast Nick prepared for us was beyond expectations. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to leave early But We will return again!

  • I loved my stay here, but two things stood out: the main room of the house is always available and completely charming, with comfortable furnishings and lovely decorations, plus they had complimentary wine, sherry, and chocolate. And then there was the breakfast... BEST BREAKFAST EVER! I'd eat breakfast there every morning if I could.

    Paula2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Really Enjoyed our stay, a great getaway! Great location, walking distance from downtown and 5 minutes away from the main wineries!

  • We loved our stay here. Location is so central to the town of Castiloga....walking distance. The hidden gem though is the breakfast. It was so good and so generous. The innkeeper was very helpful with suggestions for the area besides being an excellent chef! Would recommend to others.

  • Melissa's is the best host you could ask for. She gives immediate responses to all questions and is always helpful. I have stayed in some homes that claim to be "Sparkling Clean" but her home actually is. The home is so comfortable and has plenty of everything, and the beds are very comfortable. I don't usually sleep well away from home but slept well each night. And the location was perfect for our Calistoga get away. Melissa thank you for everything.

    Gina2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

Charming, peaceful one bedroom craftsman cottage on natural 60 acre property off a vineyard-lined country road. Vaulted ceilings, wide plank hardwood floors, wood burning stove. The lake is a just a 5 minute walk- beautiful to enjoy but is not for swimming. Feel free to walk around the property and up to the lake. -We are very dog friendly, there is a friendly german shepard and a border collie that roam and may/will come say hello. -The kitchen is small, but has everything you need to cook. There is direct TV with Many channels and lots of DVD's to choose from.
  • The cabin was super cute. It's on a big piece of property with lots of short walking trails. There's a small lake with a little dock to hang out on. I'm sure it's amazing in the summer, small picnic table and chairs to relax and contemplate life! Our dog and daughters had a great time exploring the property, which is fully enclosed and safe for your pup to run freely. The resident dog Bella gave us a tour around the grounds when we arrived. Our dog and daughters loved her, she waited for us in the morning near the door to come out and play. The cabin is nice, just what you need for a short getaway. It's close to downtown Calistoga, about 15 minutes on a windy road. Hope to come back in the summer.

  • Renee was an amazing host: flexible, communicative and helpful. The cottage is everything we hoped for and more. Unfortunately, our stay was cut short as the property was in the Kincade Fire Zone and the entire county was forced to evacuate during our stay. But, throughout that entire dilemma, Renee was helpful, proactive, and very concerned for our safety. I so appreciate her calm demeanor and help as we looked for a new place to stay for the second night of our reservation. My husband and I hope to come stay at the cottage sometime in the future, at a more relaxed time for wine country.

-Michael

  • Fun place to stay in the heart of Calistoga. Nearby many vineyards and a market if you want to buy your own groceries. Everything is within walking distance. The visitor center is nearby and they can direct you where to go. The complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise. Scones and pears were delicious!

  • Great place to stay in downtown Calistoga!

  • Everything is as listed. The room was indeed charming with a comfy bed and pillows! It's a great location for exploring the nearby shops and restaurants. The shared bathrooms was incredibly clean. The downstairs restaurant and bar is of course convenient and lovely for enjoying a drink by a fire pit. Definitely a wonderful way to spend my overnight trip comfortably.

We are a half an hour from Calistoga and Clearlake. We are 5 minutes from wine tasting, casino and town where there is shopping and restaurants. We are 10 minutes from groceries, Harbin Hot Springs, wineries and golfing. We are 2 hours from San Francisco, Sacramento and the Pacific Ocean. PLEASE NOTE: Rate includes 4 people and home is set up for 4 people only and included in our nightly booking fee is the required 10.5% Lake County occupancy & tourism taxes. Cleaning fee included in price.
There is a code gated entrance to our 8.5 acres with a pond for fishing and swimming and a swimming pool with a covered sitting area. There is no life guard on duty so use water area's at own risk. If you come during the summer months and blackberries, strawberries and tomatoes are in the garden we are happy to share if you want to pick them and enjoy! We have a country road great for walks and bike riding. We welcome smokers of all legal substances BUT request it be done in designated fire safe smoking areas. We have a covered barbecue area we share with our guest but only ask that all bbqing be completed by 9 pm.
We are approximately 3/4 mile off the Hwy. but you don't hear it with all of the trees and vineyard between. The home has easy access to local amenities and services. We also are in the Country so hearing donkeys, roosters, coyotes, birds, dogs and other animals on occasion is to be expected.
  • This place is magical! It is such a beautiful property and the living space is sparkling clean and spacious, with everything you need. The details at this property are what make it so special along with the hospitality of lee and her husband. I came with some girlfriends for a relaxing weekend away and plan to come back with my husband and toddler soon to have them enjoy it as well. Easy answer: the best air bnb experience I’ve ever had.

  • Lee was an excellent host. She was communicative and highly responsive. If we had a concern she helped out us promptly. The house was super peaceful, beautiful, and felt like a secret oasis - that was also right nearby to local restaurants and shops. We loved staying here, and would definitely return!

    Alicia2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place was clean, beautiful and the on-property amenities were amazing. Lee was a knowledgeable, friendly and responsive host. My sister-in-law and I had a beautiful experience! Highly recommended!!!

  • Thanks Randy for your help w fishing!

  • Lee's place was great for a weekend away. It's clean, quiet, and comfortable. Lee was friendly and came over right away to help when we had a question. Note that the second bedroom is quite small and doesn't have an actual door. It's a closet-sized space with a curtain closure. The bunk beds are also quite small for an average adult (the bottom bunk is basically on the floor). Our group was a couple + 1 adult, so the layout was fine, although we expected a true second bedroom. It would have been more of a challenge if we had been 4 adults. If this set up works for you, I highly recommend Lee's place! We may be back on our next visit to Harbin Hot Springs.

    Rebecca2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for an overnight stay, didn't expect anything special, just a place to sleep. In the morning we have learned that Lee's property is a great place for spending a weekend stay or a vacation! Lee and her husband Randy are extremely welcoming and friendly, it felt like visiting good friends. They have a beautiful lake full of fish and turtles, a swimming pool with a cleaning robot in it (totally blew our minds!), a gym for exercising and a workshop space full of fun cars like an excavator, which fascinated my 2 y.o. son. We are planning to be back for a longer stay for sure! The property by itself is very beautiful with hiking trails. As well you can charge an electric vehicle, they are totally welcoming you to do it!

    Lyubov2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful stay at Lee's guest cottage. The place was very clean and quiet, the wood stove fireplace kept us warm on a cold night, and the host was very kind and provided recommendations for a nice restaurant in town. I'd certainly book the cottage again next time I plan to be visiting the Middletown area.

This cozy room is on the upper floor. Light and airy with a full size antique bed and a simple private bathroom with shower. Two night minimum stays usually required for Fridays and Saturdays or premium rate for single Fri. or Sat. night.

  • This hotel was perfect for our needs. We were staying one night to attend the New Year's event at Castello di Amarosa Winery. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed! The wine, scones and muffins in the morning were a great touch. The entire atmosphere was inviting and my friend and I both wished that we could stay longer so that we could really take advantage of the yard space and downtown Calistoga, which was only blocks away. Great spot!

A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.
  • This house! Man, it was everything I was looking for in a secluded mountain getaway. I even woke up one morning to find 3 deer on property. First and foremost, if you’re looking for privacy, this home is nestled away from any nearby neighbors. Yes, you can hear some road traffic down the way but there were no other homes visible in the area. You’re completely surround by nature and trees. There are wonderful decks and views all around this home! I noticed some of the reviews complained about the “oldness” of the home. My opinion: for a home of its age, it has been very well maintained. All old homes are going to have some issues. I enjoyed everything it had to offer, including the dated architectural elements – from the bathroom (and the bathroom wallpaper) to the building itself. I did not find anything dirty. Spiderwebs were expected. The private pool and hot tub were one of the main reasons I rented. The decks were covered so you could enjoy it all day without the fear of too much sun. Be prepared for cold dips though! There is so much space to sprawl out! There were three main sitting areas with comfortable couches. The big TV room had a dining room table to serve as a gaming table (the homeowner provided plenty of board games) and a very large (and extremely comfortable) sectional that could seat maybe 8 people. The TV is indeed huge! The kitchen was very sizable and more modern compared to the rest of the house. There was a dining nook off from the kitchen and a separate dining room as well. The master bedroom has its own walk-in closet so there’s plenty of storage. The upstairs bedrooms get a little warm during the day but they have good fans to keep it as cool as possible. My highlight was the pool and pool views. Plenty of pool towels, too! Minor quibbles for the homeowners to address for the next renter: the front right stove top did not light, the ice machine did not work properly (they thankfully left a bag of ice in the freezer), one of the kitchen remote was out of batteries (but there was a TV in the kitchen so that’s a plus!) Internet was spotty but that’s expected being in the mountains. If I had one big complaint, it would be the fact that the water smelled and tasted of rust. Probably the older piping in the house. Even the filtered tap tasted like rust. Thankfully, I had flavor packets to put in my water. Otherwise, I’d advise bottled water for anyone with a sensitivity. Did not take away from my experience. Lastly, being a mountain home, it is not handicap accessible and not the most heavy roller bag friendly. There are plenty of steps all around the home – sunken living rooms, etc. Oh, and it’s important to note that the house doesn’t have very many curtains. Get comfortable with your party because if you happen to be outside while someone is undressing or bathing, you may be in for a view. Overall, definitely worth it! I would be quick to book again!

  • Truly a fantastic place, we were only 2 folks and the place can easily handle 6-8 in comfort. Just a little road noise from down the hill, but very private in back. An excellent place to stay, would book again.

  • Perfect serene location plus all the amenities you could desire make this house truly special.

    Sarah2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful home with plenty of room to spread out. Perfectly appointed for our family. My only complaint would be the lack of A/C,which we knew before hand. It got pretty warm during the day but cooled off fairly quickly in the evening. Thank you for making the place available and for providing a home bace for our adventures while in Sonoma Valley.

  • A secluded spacious relaxing home to vacation with a large group.

  • This house was amazing! Beautiful pool and property. It’s pretty remote, closest store was 20 minutes away and not much cell service, but it was an amazing place for a getaway. There were deer in the yard every morning. The communication was quick and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again!
