Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

On the ground floor of our typical Ardèche house, you will find a fitted kitchen, 2 cozy bedrooms, a nice sitting area, a pleasant bathroom, the 30 m² wooden terrace and its HOT TUB with breathtaking views of the hill opposite, plus a small above-ground pool area to cool off in the garden.

Apartment with terrace, in the heart of the medieval village of Balazuc, labeled "most beautiful villages in France". Ideal for 2 people. In a stone house (that of my ancestors), whose foundations are from the 13th century. The rental allows me to finance the rest of my developments. My place is close to the Ardèche River. You'll love it for the views, decor, and cobblestone streets. In summer, I prefer week-long stays from Saturday to Saturday.

The accommodation is quiet, in a hamlet. The village of Labeaume and the river are accessible by car in 5 minutes. The Chauvet Cave is about 18 km from the house. Many activities are available in the region for outdoor and/or thrill-seeking enthusiasts: hiking, canoeing in the Gorges de l'Ardèche or Chassezac, mountain biking, road biking, caving, canyoning, climbing, tree climbing,... You can also enjoy many markets in the area.

Ideal for two people (and a child who can sleep in an extra bed), this charming 65 m2 cottage will welcome you for a quiet holiday in the heights of a small village in the south of Ardèche. Direct departure for hikes as we are the last house before the woods. River 15 minutes' walk, grocery store 5 minutes' walk, Cirque de Gens (large climbing site) 20 minutes' walk, Chauvet 2 Cave and Vallon Pont d'Arc 20 minutes' drive.

We will welcome you in the heart of Balazuc (one of the most beautiful villages in France) in a stone house for 4/5 people. 85 m² on two levels in a classified medieval village from the 12th century (stone and vaults). Terrace overlooking the village and superb views of the river and its cliffs. Ardèche River 300 meters away, 5 min walk.

The house and these 2 twin sisters are located on a large and beautiful wooded plot (car parking in front of the house), in a beautiful, quiet and typical Ardèche village. In winter, this house is a real cocoon. In fine weather you can take advantage of the facilities of the campsite next door (catering, bar, river access, welcoming and available staff)
