Our stunning guest house has everything you need! Revel in the luxurious, lofted queen bedroom, where vaulted ceilings & large windows deliver floods of natural light. Cook a special meal over wine in the modern kitchen, or indulge in complimentary Stumptown coffee & organic cream! Walk 1 block to bustling Division St to restaurants, coffeeshops, foodcarts, & other urban adventures! Escape to the forests of Mt Tabor, just a 10-minute walk! Enjoy privacy- guesthouse is at the back of property :-)
The loft is located in our backyard in Southeast Portland. While we are only steps away if you need us, the space is very private. In fact, guests report that they forget they are in the middle of the city when they stay in our space! We live in a desirable and fun neighborhood, and parking can be tight! Guests usually find parking within a block or two of our house. At night or during busy times of the day, parking can be found within two short blocks. Guests may feel free to use our driveway for loading/unloading. We do not have a TV in the guesthouse, but offer excellent wifi access.
Our neighborhood has everything you will need, mostly within a five-minute walk! And if you want to visit a different part of the city, there is convenient public transportation around the corner. Check out excellent coffeeshops blocks away (Good Coffee and Stumptown), delicious and intimate restaurants (Bete Lukas, Tasty & Daughters, Petite Provence, Fern Kitchen), or walk up to Mt. Tabor Park. If you're into yoga, there's an awesome space (Yoga Union) around the corner.
  • Laurel & Brian’s guest house did not disappoint! It was very clean and comfortable- felt like a home away from home. It was perfect for my stay during the work week and the location was very convenient.

  • Can’t beat this location. Near the original Stumptown coffee and some fun food carts. The place is quiet and the neighborhood is friendly.

    Dan2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Would definitely recommend. Parking can be a bit tricky but the place itself was really lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable and the heated bathroom floor was a nice touch.

  • Place is as pictured/described! Clean, chic, and comfortable. Location is great for food. It seems like a side room but it’s completely separate from the main house so you have your privacy.

  • Come here for the neighborhood but it’s very nice inside this very stylish and comfortable loft too !

In the middle of a restaurant, brewery, coffee, and Portlandia paradise! This private one bedroom apartment is located in the vibrant Hawthorne District, considered to be one of the best neighborhoods for tourists in the city! Close to everything! I am a food blogger (pizza) here in Portland, and love sharing my favorite spots in the city. See our reviews! Our guests share all you need to see before booking! :) Please inquire for dates more than 6 months out. We look forward to hosting you!
The lower apartment is fresh, clean, modern, new construction with lots of light. We welcome you as our guest(s). Enjoy a fresh cup of local coffee while sitting by the fireplace. APARTMENT: roughly 700 square feet legal Alternative Dwelling Unit (ADU) in the lower level of our 1911 Bungalow home. Spacious for solo travelers or couples, and can also accommodate up to 4 guests. The apt is under our living space, has sound mitigation, and includes its own entrance, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living area. Brand new concrete floors throughout, with insulation underneath. BEDROOM: new queen bed, next to full bath, fresh sheets, blankets, luggage rack, dresser, night stands, and wall heater. BATHROOM: shower and bathtub, shampoo, soap, lotion, hair dryer, towels, and more. KITCHEN: full sink, full electric range, range hood, fridge, microwave, basic cookware, glasses/dishes/silverware, and a coffee machine. Everything is new. Perfect for long or short stays. LIVING AREA: leather Pottery Barn sleeper sofa, television, natural gas and thermostat-controlled fireplace, wifi, Chromecast (allowing you to stream from your Netflix and other Chromecast enabled accounts). The sleeper sofa folds out to a queen sized bed. SOUND: Our family of 3 lives in the unit above and though well insulated, some noise is audible between floors (not voices or music, but footsteps). We do our best to keep quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:30 AM. We also provide a white noise machine that isn't necessary for most guests, but is available. LAUNDRY: your own washer/dryer combo machine is located under the kitchen counter. PARKING: free street parking with no hourly limit. This is a big advantage versus staying downtown where there is a nightly parking fee. Generally there is ample parking supply just outside the apt. STAIRS: minimal stairs...just 7 total - 3 up at the front of the house, then 4 down to the apt.
You will be a short walk to eclectic shops, coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, bars, and parks...all virtually out your front door. 23 out of the top 40 restaurants in Portland (ranked by The Oregonian) are within a 10 minute drive. 11 of the top 40 are within a 5 minute drive. There are over 15 breweries within 10 minute drive. Other nearby highlights include (check our Instagram @airbnb.portland or our Guidebook for more): - Mt. Tabor Park - ~10 minute walk. It is a runner/walker's paradise. - Unique shops/restaurants on Belmont, Hawthorne, and Division streets. - Many food options including: Por Que No?, Apizza Scholls, Tabor Bread, Saphire Hotel, and more within a 5 minute walk. Three of Portland's top 5 restaurants in the city are within a 5 minute drive (Coquine #1, Castagna #3, Nodoguro #4 ranked by The Oregonian). - Several great coffee shops are just around the corner including: Albina Press, and Common Grounds. - Powell's Books in a short walk down Hawthorne. - Grocery Stores: New Seasons, Fred Meyer, and Safeway are all nearby. - Bar/Beer Tasting: Horse Brass Pub, Ancestry Brewing, Hawthorne Hophouse. -Cideries: Portland Cider Works. - Breakfast/Brunch: Jam, Trinket, Slappy Cakes, Waffle Window, Bread and Ink, Genie's Too. - Food Carts: a few blocks away on Belmont. - Great biking, walking, and transit options. - Our guests love staying here! You will too! :)
  • This is a gem tucked into a safe neighborhood near Hawthorne in Portland. Blaine and Taylor are gracious hosts who communicate often to make sure you have what you need and are comfortable. The bed is amazing! It is one of the most comfortable I have slept on away from home. You will find this apartment to be efficient and set up with everything you will need. Lots of welcoming special touches. We loved our five day stay there!

    Jean2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Blaine is an extremely responsive, helpful and welcoming host. The apartment is spotless, and he provides all that is needed for a very comfortable stay. The location is great! As Blaine describes in his listing, there is some noise transfer from the upstairs to the downstairs apartment...specifically footsteps. Unfortunately, I was awakened by footsteps in the middle of the night, even though I know that folks upstairs where trying to be quiet. That said, if you are sensitive to noise, as I am, this may not be the best place for you to stay. Blaine does provide a white noise machine. My son, who slept on the pullout sofa in the living room, found these to be very helpful.

  • This Hawthorne Haven is amazing. So close to the action in Portland for food and fun. Very chic and stylish place to keep you cozy. Just a Uber or Lyft to any hotspot and the “Haven” is nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Prefect place to stay if you are new to Portland! 5 stars!

    McArthur2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great space that was very clean and just as advertised. The location was perfect, parking was a non issue, and it was very quiet despite being in a densely populated area.

    Jordan2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely adore this place! My partner and I came in town for the weekend and never wanted to leave this space when it came time to follow our own itinerary. It was so clean, smelled great, is super and so freaking cute! Blaine provided great accommodations/complimentary items with the space. I love that they provided a manual for the entire place and its gadgets along with recommended places to site-see and to eat; it was very helpful and much appreciated. I hope to stay here for all my visits back to Portland if I can. I was not in a hurry to leave.

  • Tom and his family will ensure that you have a great stay in Portland. Thank you for the recommendations and hospitality!

    Leo2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Tom was a great host, super accommodating, and was always easy to reach. The area also felt very safe, even though I was travelling alone. I'd definitely stay here again, and I hope I can visit this beautiful city some time soon!!

    Nat2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Nice space and flexibility to use separate living room downstairs and access to upstairs kitchen. Warm, and accomodating hosts.

    April2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Space was cute and clean! Always easily accessible and within walking distance to plenty of great shops and restaurants! The bed was extremely comfortable and the upstairs news was not bothersome.

    Jamie2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The bed and comfort of the home exceeded expectations. I normally book private single homes for my Airbnb experiences, however it was a very pleasant stay and very private considering the room is a part of the main house in the basement. As a guest you can be as private or social as you want! Excellent location close to everything. The host family was very gracious and welcoming. Perfect for solo travelers!

    Christine2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • The space was very stylish. Great hosts, perfect space for a group with a shared living room. Best nights sleep you'll ever get!

Magic Barn, circa 1936, former sculpture studio restored by community artists with old growth barn wood, upcycled furnishings, kitchen, claw foot bath, baby amenities, with a sculpture garden. Centrally located in the heart of a charming restaurant and boutique district; 3 blocks to SE Hawthorne and Division. 15 minutes the the airport, downtown and convention center. 4 bus stops and rental bikes within 3 blocks, ample free street parking. Book The Magic House in conjunction for 10 people.
Built with Love! We are permitted by the city of Portland to host 10 guests at the Magic Barn and The Magic House, which are adjacent. Please feel free with questions to see if we can accommodate the needs of your large or small group: The Magic House Link: https://airbnb.com/h/themagichouse Cannabis is legal in Oregon. You are welcome to responsibly smoke tobacco and cannabis outside only. There are many dispensaries within walking distance. Family amenities are available upon request: portable crib, baby bath, high chair, etc. The Magic Barn was Todji's sculpture studio for fifteen years. Most of the sculptures in the sculpture garden were sculpted right here and are exhibited for everyone to experience. When Todji first moved into the main house as a renter, the Magic Barn was a crooked old shed with broken windows, no electricity, water or heat and was filled with trash. Todji turned it into his sculpture studio, and then purchased the house in 2004 when banks were giving loans to anyone, including self-employed artists! Todji rented rooms to other artists while restoring the old house and building his career as a fine art sculptor. Todji and Gisele painted the outside of The Magic House and Magic Barn with seven colors over three summers. During the summer of 2015 Todji designed and built the Magic Barn with the talented carpenters and fine art painters Theo Holdt and TJ Ravenwolf. The interior wood siding are salvaged old growth barn planks, and the ceiling is made of the original 1936 rafters and sheathing. Look at the outside walls to see the twist in the structure, and Gisele's beautiful painting! TJ’s painting is hanging above the couch. TJ is native American from the Alaskan tribes of Koyukon Athabaskan and Muscogee Creek. TJ collected all of the natural pigments in the painting from areas around Oregon in prayer, and his prayer in painting now graces the Magic Barn. Todji and Gisele produce public art bronze sculpture monuments for US cities which you may already have seen, or that you may see one day. Hobie is your onsite host and he He is a novelist and professional writer. He is available to both respect privacy and also assist during your stay. We support the local art community by giving cleaning and maintenance work at the Magic House to community artists. Thank you for reading our story, we hope to host you at the Magic Barn!
The Magic Barn is centrally located in one of the most charming and hip neighborhoods in Portland. With the center of both SE Hawthorne and SE Division St within 3 blocks, there is an abundance of restaurants, boutique browsing, grocery stores, neighborhood strolling, and park hiking options within walking distance. See a movie, or just step in to witness the beautiful and iconic McMenamin's Bagdad theater, accompanied by an incredible restaurant/bar/pool hall in the back called the "Back Stage Bar", at SE 37th and Hawthorne. It will give you a feel for classic Portland! We are minutes from Mt Tabor park which has a lovely forest with walking trails sitting upon a dormant volcano, and we are 45 minutes to the spectacular 600 foot tall Multnomah waterfall in the gorgeous Columbia River Gorge scenic area. Division is the new up and coming Southeast neighborhood. With lots of modern architecture, new restaurants and shops you will get a feel for the freshest vibe Portland has to offer. Here is a list to get you started: Restaurants: (The options are endless but here are a few popular favorites!) Serving Food Late - Sapphire Hotel at 50th and Hawthorne, Romantic and sexy atmosphere- great for late night drinks and gourmet bar food. Stumptown Coffee Roasters- 45th and Division, Classic Great Portland Coffee Trinket- One block away on Lincoln and 39th, great for Brunch with their locally sourced eggs!) Harlow- 36th and Hawthorne, Hip and Healthy, great for lunch, or fresh veggie juice. Por Que No- 46th and Hawthorne, Wildly popular Mexican with a great playful decor. (Don’t be intimidated by the line, you order at the counter, and then get a seat and your order will be out in no time) Pok Pok- 32nd and Division, There are literally 11 Thai restaurants in walking distance, but Pok Pok is the best. Began as a food cart, but grew into a Restaurant Empire. Worth the wait. Bollywood Theater- 30th and Division, Indian food small plates. Also along line but worth it! Salt and Straw- 33rd and Division, Food Networks top five ice creams! Super Popular! Lauretta Jeans- 34th and Division, Breathtaking Pies! Tidbit Food Cart Pod, 28th and Division, Fabulous food cart selection, lots of seating, including a beer garden and vintage clothing bus. A truly Portland experience. Hiking: The website of "Friends of the Columbia Gorge" has detailed information about many hikes in the scenic and nearby Columbia River Gorge. It is a 45 minute drive from here to enter the gorge. Below are the names of hikes that we love and recommend. Check the website to find a hike with a distance and fitness level that suits you. For those who are visiting the gorge for the first time, I recommend visiting the most spectacular, and also the most touristicated, 600 foot Multnomah Falls. For those who want a challenging half day hike you can begin at Multnomah Falls and hike a loop called the Franklin Ridge Loop. Multnomah Falls /Franklin Ridge Loop Eagle Creek Angels Rest Bridal Veil Falls Triple Falls Wahkeena Falls Groceries, Pharmacy and Shopping: New Seasons- Local Health Food Store (40th and Hawthorne) Fred Meyers- Local Department/Grocery store (Cesar Chavez and Hawthorne) Rite Aid Pharmacy- Drugstore/pharmacy (Cesar Chavez and Division) Powell’s Books- A smaller version of Portland’s famous Bookstore (37th and Hawthorne) Gold Door- Wonderful Imports from around the world (37th and Hawthorne) Enjoy!

A quiet, cozy bedroom & a bathroom on the ground floor of a beautiful, modern new home in a verdant, friendly Southeast Portland neighborhood. Enthusiastic greeting by very friendly dogs & cat comes standard!
As a courtesy to our guests, our check-in time is 2:00 pm; however, as we both work weekdays, we cannot have the rooms ready until 5:30 or so. What this means is that our guests are welcome to make themselves at home in their living room or just drop their bags off and head out exploring, but they won't be able to rest their weary heads or hit the showers until we've had a chance to get home and tidy up. There is an entire floor available in our newish home smack-dab in the heart of fun, accessible Southeast Portland! This means that our guest(s) get not only their own quiet bedrooms, but also a private full bathroom AND their own nicely-appointed living room (please note: the first-floor living room is NOT private, as it does not have a ceiling and is the way between the front door of the house and the stairs to the second floor). We are steps away from a frequent-service bus line, a terrific ramen shop, a pizza joint, two coffee shops, and, best of all, a Trader Joe's! The house is about two miles south of the trendy Hawthorne district, one mile south of nationally-recognized Division Street, and about four miles east of downtown Portland. The house itself is a beautiful, soaring Doug Fir- and hemlock-constructed dream home decorated with one-of-kind glass art pieces and potted succulents. Our guests have access to our fabulous kitchen in addition to their own first-floor amenities. We have a very friendly housecat you will likely meet during your stay, but the guest bedroom and guest bathroom doors are kept closed for the comfort of allergen-sensitive guests. We also have two friendly dogs who will greet you eagerly upon your arrival, but who otherwise spend their time hanging out with us and don't wander much to the guest floor. Lastly, to our guests during the colder months: the guest floor tends to be the coolest in the house, and we provide space heaters and afghans for your comfort, but we figure we should let you know ahead of time that if you run cold, ours may not be the ideal place for your stay.
Our neighborhood is so great! We are really close to several cool Portland hubs, but we're on a relatively quiet residential street so we truly have the best of all worlds.

Our private detached garden studio sits in the heart of a quiet residential neighborhood and is a short stroll to top restaurants, food carts, and shopping in trendy Southeast Portland. The space is compact -- about 240sf! -- but cozy, bright and a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring Portland!
Our newly-renovated, cozy studio includes a new queen bed, vaulted ceilings, full bathroom, kitchenette, and small sitting area. It's fully detached from the main house, so offers complete privacy. Skylights, french doors, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows provide views of the west hills and flood the room with natural light, even on the grayest of drizzly Portland days. It's small --about 240sf-- but the space is well utilized with many amenities such as wireless Bluetooth speaker, Portland maps and guides, and comfy pillows and blankets to make it feel like home. It's best suited for guests seeking space to relax and recharge after a day of exploring Portland; If you're needing more of a "hangout spot" this may not be the best choice. The studio has a full bathroom with shower (no tub). The kitchenette includes a mini fridge, sink, instant hot water, coffee maker, microwave and everything you need for reheating leftovers from the many restaurants and food carts nearby. Complementary tea and coffee are provided along with a long list of our favorite local restaurants.
We love living in the heart of the Richmond neighborhood! Nestled on a quiet, residential street, we're a short stroll (about 1/3mi) to two main restaurant and retail districts of SE Portland--Division Street and Hawthorne Blvd. A 4-block walk brings you to a bus stop that can get you most anywhere else in town. Our location is best for guests wanting to experience Portland from a local's perspective; If you'd rather be in closer proximity to downtown touristy areas, we may not be the best option. A short walk from the studio brings you to food, shopping and entertainment (to name a few of our favorites): PokPok, Salt & Straw, Ava Gene's, Bollywood Theater, Blue Star Donuts, Food Cart pods, Little T Bakery, St Honore, as well as a myriad of boutiques, shops and independent movie theaters on Hawthorne, Clinton and Division streets. You'll likely meet some friendly neighborhood cats during your stay, but due to severe allergies, our studio is animal- and allergen-free. You may also spot our eyepatch-wearing, kung fu-performing neighbor (and good friend) practicing in the street, sometimes alongside his 5yo daughter and toddler son. He’s a world-renowned martial artist and teacher, is super friendly and adds some true Portland character to our otherwise sleepy neighborhood!
  • We loved our stay! Such a great neighbourhood and the cutest space! 100% would stay again

    Kat2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This space was so cozy -- the floor to ceiling and skylight windows truly make it feel like you're in the garden. The natural light, bright linens, and beautiful plants make this a little sanctuary in the city. Walkable to fantastic food and coffee and great hospitality!

    Annika2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa’s space was perfect for our Portland getaway. It’s within walking distance to some local restaurants (we ate at ‘off the waffle’ twice! Dont miss out) , shops, and a quick uber ride from anywhere in Portland. Her space was very clean, thoughtful, and just the right size for two people. She checked in w us to see if we needed anything which I have never had a host do. We didnt get to use the outdoor space much- since It was my first visit we were out exploring but when I come back, I know for sure ill utilize it. It’s just an all around quiet, beautiful, and peaceful vibe. You won’t be disappointed

    Charlotte2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time! There were so many thoughtful touches that made our experience an amazing one. From the delicious ground coffee to the book full of local restaurant suggestions, Melissa goes above and beyond. The location was perfect. We walked to Division and/or Hawthorne Street daily, admiring the quiet neighbourhood full of unique, colourful homes along the way. If you are looking to stay in Portland, I don’t know why you would stay anywhere else. :)

Cute little Tiny House! It used to be our boys' fort when they were young, now it is a comfortable little retreat for adventurers exploring Portland!
Cute little back yard "granny flat" cottage located near Mt Tabor park in very desirable neighborhood! The cottage is "Portland Style" construction with excellent insulation (R30), new windows, etc.. Great host, free internet, parking, furnished living space that is quite private.. The cottage contains an upstairs bedroom & sitting area. Note: There are steep stairs, so please take that into account ~ if you have joint pain, etc. this might not be the best choice of places to stay... The QUEEN size mattress is new and comfortable. Downstairs there is a small kitchen with stove, microwave and under the counter fridge. Also downstairs is a full bath with ceramic tile shower. Coffee maker and freshly ground coffee provided in the cottage as well as complimentary muffins. There are laundromats in SE Portland and sometimes I am home to help facilitate laundry getting done on premesis but I cannot guarantee I'll be there to arrange for that. Guests have use of the back yard with fruit trees and some berries when in season. Also the cottage is within walking distance of Division street shops, Pizzicato pizza, the 52nd & Foster street Food Carts and much more. The # 2 bus is just a block and a half away, which can take passengers west directly downtown. The TRI-MET app or website is easy to use & can help you get you anywhere from the airport, to downtown, to Powells Books, The Chinese Garden, and so on.
South Tabor Neighborhood is a quiet eclectic little neighborhood with many avid gardners, friendly neighbors, and gobs of dog lovers. We have community get-togethers, work parties, and holiday celebrations! If you are used to neighborhoods where no one knows each other or even speaks to each other this is definitely NOT the neighborhood for you :-D

  • Great place to stay and a great location! Loved walking around and looking at all the beautiful houses. Also, there was a park within walking distance that had an off-leash are for our dog. Would stay again 😊

This clean and comfortable home is in a great location, close to shopping, restaurants, public transit, and just minutes from downtown. With a fenced yard, feels just like home.
This house has a fenced yard and a very accessable lcation, it can accomadate an entire family, with a kitchen for cooking. There is wifi, stereo and TV with movie players. There are 2 bedrooms and a futon in the living room. In addition, we have a retro trailer"The Daisy " which our care taker uses, in the back lot.
close to freeways and bike trails also walking distance to grocery.
  • Super sweet woman! The house was clean (minus microwave) and even though it didn’t work out for us (as we like a little more privacy) they refunded In full when they didn’t need to. She, husband, and clients were on property when we arrived and we had to park on street but she was a sweet heart and worked with us. Super cute and retro. Would be good for families. The couch is a little uncomfortable (for us at least) as it was a futon. But be prepared if you get there on time, to have a couple people on property. The house is super darling overall and the yard is nice. It is next so a VERY busy road so be mindful of that.

  • Recommended . A nice place with good value. Worth it !

    Karen2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • It's really hard to find a short term rental that you know will be friendly and safe for dogs, but this place ABSOLUTELY was. That was the greatest relief of all. We had a great, fairly long stay and wouldn't have chosen a different location for anything. Thanks Misty!

    Jillian2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is the cleanest AirBnB I've ever been in. Seriously, the place was spotless when we arrived. My son did his best to leave fingerprints all over the fridge (sorry!). The kitchen is very well appointed, with most tools and utensils you'd need to make a full meal. There's a Fred Meyer nearby and highway 205 access couldn't be easier. The house is on a very busy street. I'd keep a very close eye on small and dogs that like to wander. We kept our small corgi on a leash the first day and watched her very closely after that. She loved running around the back yard, chasing the squirrels, and sniffing noses with the neighbor dogs (who were very quiet).

    Jennifer2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Misty’s home!Honestly, the home felt much larger then the photos and I could not believe how ridiculous clean it was for an older home. I’m a perfectionist and a clean freak and there wasn’t so much as a dried water droplet or appearance of dust. It was the cleanest Airbnb or hotel I have ever stayed in. She even had doggy dishes and dog towels for drying our girls paws off before coming in. It was very thoughtful. There is also recycling, and other signs that Misty is an environmentally conscious home owner and host which I highly appreciated. Honestly, great value. Super kind and friendly host. Very accommodating and considerate. And cute home! Thanks Misty!!

  • What a wonderful place to stay for a short or long vacation. They put a lot of thought into making things self explanatory. Note cards are placed throughout the apartment that answers basically any question you could have. Perks that I was surprised at and absolutely loved were the extra items in the bathroom Incase you forgot your shower/make up items, the full kitchen that included basic spices and oils in the cupboards, and tons of suggestions for things to do over your weekend. Washer and dryer CLEAN and EASY to use. Large enough space for my two kids to roam around. Fast response through the Airbnb messaging as well as through text messaging over the weekend. Couldn’t have asked for anything more!

  • Alei’s place is a steal! Short drive from Portland, safe/beautiful neighborhood with hiking right off their street, close to Happy Valley Station which has amazing food carts. The place itself was fantastic including the theater room where I watched tv and movies each night, a Keurig where I made coffee to watch the beautiful sunrise from one of the Adirondack chairs on the back patio next to a fire, and a memory foam bed that I curled up and watched Netflix in. She was very hospitable and even turned the fire on inside before I arrived. So great! Would stay again.

  • Alei’s suite was exactly what we were looking for - a quiet and comfortable place where we could relax. Even though we didn’t meet Alei in person, the communication via messages was good and detailed. It was easy to follow the instructions. The view of Mount Hood is amazing!

    Mariann Jin Sun2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Alei’s place was just perfect for us. It had plenty of space, the most comfortable bed, a mini fridge, microwave, coffee, and of course the movie theater. We loved all the little details and the view of Mt. Hood. The location was perfect too as you are only a few minutes away from Clackamas town center. Alei was very quick to respond to any inquiries and was very accommodating. I would highly recommend this airbnb!

    Christian2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Alei’s place was beautiful. There was an amazing view of Mt. Hood that could be seen from all areas of where we stayed. We were within a reasonable distance from downtown Portland! Also the Clackamas mall that is less than 10min away, had a lot to offer. Alei was super responsive and always willing to give tips and advice on where to go. Yes it is a basement but during our 3.5 day stay, we didn’t hear a thing from upstairs! Super quite. It was private enough to where it didn’t feel like anyone else was there. I highly recommend this place, it has everything there is to offer and for a solid price. Thank you Alei!

Ranch style home in a friendly, quiet neighborhood. Park & school a block away. Close to bus stop, 205 bike path, 205, 224 & 213. Fenced backyard-pets OK! The house is not in Portland but is relatively close especially if driving. You can park in the driveway if space or in front of the house. The bus runs regularly on weekdays but weekends/eves can be hard-check Trimet trip planner using SE Clackamas Rd & Webster Rd to make sure it's OK for you. Arrival needs to be arranged & may be after 6 pm.
Bright open room with double bed, nightstand and lamp, dresser, desk and chair, full length mirror and shelves. Comfortable for two. Shared guest bathroom is directly across the hall. Hardwood floors. You can enjoy the rest of the house and backyard.
My home is in a quiet, very safe, residential area with a park down the street and a school across the other way. This is a good place for a walk, run or ride. The 205 bike path is just up the road and goes all the way into Vancouver, WA. It also connects with the Spring Water Corridor bike path. There is a Safeway, Starbucks, Subway, pizza place, gas station, Chinese Restaurant, hair and nail places, beauty salons, dry cleaners and laundry mat, internet coffee shop and convenience stores just up the street. This is a very safe place to live and easy to get to anywhere around. Downtown is about 20 minutes away without traffic (longer now in rush hour), Mt Hood is less than an hour and is magnificent. The Oregon coast is about 1.5-2 hours away depending on where you are going. The Clackamas River Recreational area is close, as is Mt Hood for hiking and camping. There are rivers within minutes. I love this place! Arrival will need to be arranged because I likely will be working.

Covid-19 Update: While we have always had good cleaning practices we are working extra hard to insure that our cottage is clean and disinfected between each guest. Be assure, that should you chose to travel, every door handle and knob will be wiped down! City of Portland Permit # 18-175497
The guest cottage is in a quiet neighborhood in SE Portland. High ceilings make this studio airy and bright. We think of it as a perfect hotel room without the hotel. The small galley kitchen has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. There is a full bathroom with tub and shower. Parking is available in the driveway, we leave it open for guests. The cottage stands on its own making it perfect for coming and going as you please. There is one queen sized bed, but we can put a twin mattress on the floor if you are traveling with a child. Washer and dryer are available in the main house with arrangement. The cottage is a non-smoking space.
This is a quiet neighborhood. The cottage is a mile from Woodstock which has good coffee, a bakery, fish market, some restaurants and grocery stores including New Seasons. It is four blocks from the Springwater Corridor bike path that leads to Sellwood and eventually the river and downtown. Reed College is 2 miles away through a nice neighborhood full of trees and interesting architecture.

The neighborhood is a bit out of the way, but-- on the plus side-- parking is abundant, and it is super quiet. Highly recommended!

There were clear instructions on how to enter the unit and work everything. We loved being so close to the city yet in a quiet neighborhood. The one bedroom cozy basement suite was exactly what we wanted after a long day of hiking. Definitely the place to stay if you want to get a feel for life in Portland!

  • Lovely stay, stylish and all the details were thought of. Hot tub is a nice touch

  • Great place to spend a weekend get away!

    Shae2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The home was lovely. Plenty of towels and the beds were comfy. It worked just right for the 1 night we needed. I didn't really notice the light traffic on the road below but they do provide earplugs just in case. We didn't get a chance to use the hot tub but that is a nice amenity. They had many toys for my son and plenty of space to move around.

  • Jackie’s place exceeded expectations! A lot bigger than we expected from the pictures, it was a cozy, relaxing place! The on site manager was a huge help! Will definitely stay again next time We’re in town.

    Chad2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I had to book a last minute place for me, my sister and my 2 year old nephew ... and when you have a 2 year old, you know that can be a little stressful. I found Jackie's place on this site and it was the review saying that there were children's toys in it that drew me in. Booking was easy and check in was even easier (I loved the pictures showing exactly where everything was!). They weren't lying about the toys - nephew immediately zeroed in on them and played the entire time. The stay was only made better by the fact that there is a Roku set up with Netflix, Amazon, etc ... but of course we only used Disney Plus :). We didn't need them, but I noticed there were Z beds in the master bedroom closet, which are so easy to use and nice to have on hand. As far as the kitchen goes, everything has a label on it ... you're never stuck opening drawer after drawer. Washer and dryer are in unit. Wonderful claw foot tub. Quiet neighbourhood, and very easy location to use as a landing base. I will for sure book this unit again in the future, thanks for hosting Jackie!

    Sara-Anne2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • I would definitely recommend anybody to stay in Jonathan's place. It feels comfortable and private. Has all of the amenities you could need. Great price!

  • Wonderful place with excellent value! I will say that if you are over 5’6”, you’ll have a great time in the shower.

    Alicia2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Jonathan’s place provides a lot of space and conveniences very close to several PDX bus stops. The washer and dryer are in the lower level which is the one I rented. I was there in July/August so the lower level apartment was nice and cool. The neighborhood is peaceful and it is a quick walk to Rite Aid, McGraff’s Fish House, Dollar Store etc. I utilized TriMet for many trips to Oregon City, Sellwood, and Portland. I was amazed at how many transit trip options were within a short walking distance — this is not a one-bus line location, so use your Smartphone to find the quickest trip.

    Michael2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Simple basement apartment with full bathroom and easy (and free) washer/dryer access. Everything you need, Jonathan is easy to deal with and prompt, and the price is great!

Come stay in a cozy wall tent on our gorgeous urban farmstead! You'll have access to all the facilities in the house, but the privacy and charm of a beautiful canvas wall tent. This is Portland glamping at its best. We are a small community of artists, musicians, thinkers, and all around good people. We love meeting new people and sharing our space.
The space is on a half-acre with a 1909 farmhouse as the centerpiece. We want you to feel at home to use the outdoors of the garden and comfort of the house. Nothing is off limits!
We are located in the heart of Portlands "Jade District," walking distance from dozens of the most authentic Asian food restaurants you will find. There are also excellent coffee shops adjacent to college very close by.
  • Really cool people, yard, and tent. I was prepared for the cold weather by having a good jacket and Dirk made sure I was comfortable with lots of blankets and a cozy sleeping bag. Everyone I met was very friendly, I wish I could have stayed longer. Highly recommend especially if you are on a budget like me!

    Simon2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Good spot, nice big yard for a furry friend. Close to some of the best spots to eat on 82nd.

    Marisa2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful people. Not intrusive but always there if you need them. They’re incredibly polite and hospitable.... just all around we had an amazing time and would happily stay with them again and again

    Donovan2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was nice to stay @ Dirk & Corey's personal glamping spot! We had everything we needed & slept great in the tent. A little family of racoons enjoyed being outside of the tent on the 1st night but we love to camp & enjoy the outdoors. The weather was perfect & couldn't have made the stay much more perfect.

    V2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • It's a cute and unique experience, so if the urban "glamping" at all tempts you, you won't regret it. The yard is quiet, relaxing, and perfect for reading a book with a can of wine after a busy day. My two biggest pieces of advice is to take account the weather and bring a portable charger.

    Katie2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot. Cool folks!

    Ben2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a great space! My partner and I came to Portland for their birthday weekend and this Airbnb made our trip very special. The tent felt very secure and spacious and we had easy access to a fridge, bathroom, and an awesome shower- all just across the very beautiful back yard. Dirk was super friendly and accommodating, as were the other people living in the home. The dogs are gentle sweethearts and hanging out with them was a major perk. I was thrilled to find out that we were only three minutes away from Doe Donuts, which is where you can go for the best donuts in Portland and I highly recommend checking them out. We were also just a quick drive to Southeast Portland. This place offers an enchanting retreat experience and I would recommend it to anybody who loves being a little closer to nature. We would definitely stay here again!

    Elisa2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is a perfect getaway for the summer! My husband and I enjoyed every little thing during our stay. Our dog had a great time as well, huge yard with other friendly dogs on this property. Dirk and Corey was very quick with responds and also very informative. Such a relaxed and friendly environment. Would love to stay here again if we have the chance to visit Portland again!

My house is close to Hwy 224. You’ll love my place because of the location. It has very easy access to Hwy 224, Hwy 99 and the 205 freeway. My place is good for solo adventurers and business travelers.
Its a no-frills sleeping space with closet and tv, perfect for a temporary visitor or worker. Extra guests will be charged $5.00 per night

  • I am a French come to Portland a few days and I am not desapointed by the stay where I was. I couldn’t see Jonathan but his co-owner was so great with me. I don’t regret to have chooses Jonathan’s airbnb. There were everything I needed. And more place is very calm and not to long downtown honnestly. It’s a good place for sure here.

The place is pretty huge and it's easy to get downtown. I would have stayed longer if the place was available. Thanks Jonathan!

This off-the-beaten-path home in a quiet neigbhorhood is close to Max Line, Bus Lines and Mt. Tabor Park with easy PDX airport access. The large back yard makes it feel like you are in the countryside rather than a city neighborhood and the Mt. Hood Wilderness and Columbia Gorge are so close you can stay off major highways to get to many outdoor destinations.
You'll notice our home is solarized! Everyone shares the same entrance, through the yellow door. Our backyard is home to 3 chickens and a duck, and includes a lovely CSA garden a friend maintains. Feel free to check it out and have a swing under the tree house/lookout tower.
Our quiet neighborhood popped up in the 50's and was not considered Portland until the 90's! You can walk to a beautiful library, a taproom/sports bar with 4-7 happy hour daily, a bubble tea house and many dentists! Powell Butte and Mt Tabor are nearby for beautiful and grounding nature walks.
  • This stay was very relaxing! Very kind people!

I loved the space, it was clean, comfortable and perfect for what I needed! Sorry I didn't have more time to visit with host and get to know her. It was very private too, which I appreciated.

14 friendly hens in the back yard (.4 acre) and two super friendly cats. Close to Clackamas Town Center & Clackamas CC. Easy 205 access. Close to Trimet. There is a park & school nearby with a track available to run on. 3 Frisbee golf holes out back as well as other games. We also clean the common areas daily. BBQ/fire pit. Collection of vintage video games & board games. P.C. & printer available upon request. Camping available. Vegetarian hosts! There will likely be other guests present.
The games and the chickens are quite unique. Watch out for chicken poop. They do have access to the entire yard. Keep in mind that this is Oregon, and it does rain a lot, so the yard can frequently have mud depending on the weather.
Close to shopping and easy freeway access. Grocery stores within walking. Occasional normal neighborhood noises such as dogs and traffic. Walking distance to Clackamas Town Center.

A colorful quintessential Portland studio. The studio has easy access from the side entrance. It is a private, comfortable, quiet, colorful and cozy space. Provided is a shared pleasant bathroom at the head of the stairs.
The place is colorfully painted and decorated with furnishings that I have personally refurbished and other quirky and beautiful things. The kitchen is small, but fairly well equipped with basic appliances (sink, 2 burner stove, refrigerator), electric water kettle, pots and pans, dishes etc, crockpot. The bed is a double mattress dressed with natural materials. There is a TV but o cable, although there is internet.
I live on a relatively quiet street in a residential area within walking distance from a busy commercial strip.
  • Such a sweet, welcoming host! Great location, beautiful room!! Wish I could have stayed longer! :)

This spacious bedroom has real hardwoods, large closet, flat screen internet TV with Roku, desk space, massage chair & lots of light. Your private bathroom is just outside your bedroom door. Kitchen access, along with coffee and tea, laundry only for guests stay 3+ nights. We have a large backyard space with many birds that come visit us everyday. Family & kid friendly. Smoking allowed outside. Coziness and warm smiles abound! Check in 4pm or later. Checkout 10am or earlier.
-You may park anywhere in front of the gate, one car max per reservation. The neighborhood has lots of free street parking close by as well. -The self check in link is a great tool to use, you should receive it in a message when you book with us. That link will walk you through entry to your space as well as getting acquainted with how to reach the kitchen and backyard areas. -The kitchen is a communal space so please feel free to cook, get a cup of coffee or tea and use the dining room as much as you like. Just be aware that you might not be alone, please tidy up after yourself. -Laundry room use is only for guests staying with us for 3 days or more. -We do not allow cats here, but do host dogs regularly. Please use the CONTACT HOST button and include in your message breed and temperament around other dogs, new people and kids. Please do not allow your dog to sleep or walk on the beds. Please always close the gate behind you as you come and go. We love our dog Nigel and would like to keep him safe. If you don't like dogs, are scared of them or allergic, this isn't the right house for you. -This is a busy family/guest home, not a hotel or fancy bed and breakfast. You should expect that the floors in communal spaces may not always be perfectly swept and mopped, you may see some dust here and there, our décor and art choices are not for everyone and we are our own landscapers. Book and judge accordingly. -We do our best to observe reasonably quiet hours between 9pm and 7am, particularly on school nights and we expect our guests to do the same. With dogs, 2 kids and guests, the house stays pretty bustling outside of those quiet hours, so mid-day naps can be tricky, we apologize in advance and have earplugs available to you in the bathroom. -Please feel free to message, call or flag us down around the house with anything you need or any concerns you may have. We want you to be just as cozy here as we are .
Lots of shopping within walking distance: Trader Joe's, Fred Meyer, Pet Smart, local produce market & several thrift stores. Food: Arawan Thai, Pizza Scmizza, Panda Express, Five Guys, Boardwalk Café, Sports Bar, Biscuits Café, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, Baja Grill, Starbucks, Dutch Bros, & 2 food cart malls, one of which has a voodoo doughnut cart, beer garden and live music some nights.
  • Our host was so friendly! He greeted us at the door each time we came through, greeted us every morning, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. We thought it was a *little* weird he demanded head pats and belly rubs, but I’ve heard of weirder accommodation agreements. Oh, and Nigel’s human Siobhan is an overall amazing person to be around too. I’m looking forward to coming back here next time I need a place to crash in Portland!

    Melissa2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Siobhan's family provided a very welcoming and heartwarming atmosphere. The house has everything you could possibly need for a short term stay as well as long term. We also liked the location very much. Again, everything you could possibly need is provided in the near surroundings, yet we were close to nature and not too far away from downtown Portland. We weren't just guests in this place, we lived there for a month and we tried to support each other meanwhile. The communication was always easy ging an straight forward. One of the best AirBnB stays we ever had! I can definitely recommend and wish Siobhan and her kids all the best in the world for their future!

    Jette2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Siobhan & Andrei’s home is full of warmth and charm! It felt like home to us right away. The decorations are thoughtful and interesting, room was comfortable and had a lot of space for us. We loved being able to learn about Portland and have great conversations in the kitchen. We fell in love with their dog. Siobhan and Andrei went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We stayed for a month and it was hard to say goodbye. Thank you again, we will miss you!

    Michelle2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts, lovely dog named Nigel that welcomed you to the house. Location is convenient as I was spending most of my time South of Portland. Easy access to grocery stores and other amenities. Thanks for everything!

  • Great place to stay! Hosts were friendly and helpful. My boyfriend and I are pretty quiet, and this was our first time staying in a room in a house (as opposed to staying in a place we had to ourselves), and it was great; we had everything we needed and were able to relax after exploring the city all day long. Siobhan provided a lovely place for us and we would definitely stay again!

    Clara2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Siobhan's home is lovely, the room very comfortable and the family's respect to their guests outstanding! I will certainly be back. As a female solo traveler I felt safe, secure and welcomed—also slept really well.

    Kathryn2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Siobhan and her family are excellent hosts. Their children are immaculately behaved and their dog a sweetie. Everything was as expected. They do not lock their doors but I never felt like this was an issue. Thanks for an awesome stay!!

This beautifully remodeled studio with private bathroom, entrance and off-street parking is nestled in a quiet, relaxed neighborhood in Milwaukie- a neighborhood south of Portland. Extremely comfortable queen bed will provide you with an excellent night's sleep. Great atmosphere for those traveling for business or vacation. Located 5 minutes from I-205 and a 10-minute drive to downtown Portland.
*Coffee bar, small refrigerator/toaster oven. *French Press with Premium local Coffee in the Morning *HDTV w/ Complimentary Netflix and Amazon Prime *Free, off street parking *Private bathroom with shower *Super comfortable bed with a cooling mattress topper for those that run hot *Small garden space at private entrance (excellent for a cup of coffee and a good book)
Milwaukie is a sweet neighborhood to grab some great local roasted coffee, hit a pub or eat at the Milwaukie Station Food carts for some yummy street food. A short drive to the Willamette River makes the Milwaukie area highly appealing. Locals know that there is a community park around every corner, my place included.
  • My husband and I loved staying in Staceys’s cozy place. It was the perfect size for us and in a cute neighborhood just outside of Portland. I definitely recommend staying there!

It was clean, peaceful and quiet, and our host thought of everything- from coffee and tea to plates and silverware to shower supplies. It felt like our every need was anticipated! This was our first time using air bnb and based on our fabulous experience, we would definitely choose air bnb again (and recommend the Cozy Place to anyone traveling to the Portland area 😁)

Come stay in this internally renovated 30ft tiny home trailer just minutes from I-205, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping and theatre! Relax inside or in our communal outdoor firepit area. There's even hiking right across the street at Mt. Talbert! The tiny home is also equipped with a fully stocked kitchen.
This tiny home trailer has a one man shower, toilet, vanity, queen sized bed, closets, a cozy living room/kitchen area and vinyl records and record player to keep the night feeling groovy. The outside of the trailer doesn't look too flashy but the inside is comfortable and fun! We also have a retro VW Camper van for additional sleeping space.
We are conveniently located two minutes from the I-205 and the Clackamas Town Center. We are only 15 to 20 minutes from downtown Portland or the Portland international airport. You can enjoy a peaceful walk through the Mount Talbert natural park located across the street from our home. There are miles of hiking trails, beautiful forests and deer at the Mount Talbert nature park.
  • AJ and Summer were great hosts. The accommodations were exactly what we needed...at the price we needed. Communication was great. Neighbors were great. Mongo and Monkey were great! (you will have to stay to understand). We enjoyed our stay, and will consider staying again next time we have the need for a temporary casa in the PDX area.

  • This place was awesome!!!

    Justin2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described. We loved how cozy it was. Perfect for 2 people. The hosts were awesome and responded to every question very quickly. There were a lot of nice touches - from a white noise speaker to help you sleep to a turntable under the couch. Location is very easy to get to and felt very safe.

    Nicole2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and cozy, with really fun details. Perfect for our needs and hosts were terrific! Thanks again!

    Barbara2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an awesome value, particularly when you compare to hotels in the region. As others have remarked, the outside of the trailer is non-descript, like an older camper you may see being pulled by a pickup down the road. But inside it's cute as a button, with all the things you may need from home. Takes a couple minutes to get used to using "camper things" that aren't exactly like home. For example, the toilet is a couple of levers - one to fill with water, the other to open the flap at the bottom to flush. Works fine - a mild chemical smell but there's a vent fan in the loo to include for after a shower. Hot water is limited, so shower quickly or risk rinsing your hair with cold water. Size-wise I'm 6'2" and I made it work. Much taller may be a challenge but still doable. Keurig coffee was a nice touch. Fridge was plenty big. Had all the plates and utensils one might need. Bed was comfy. A/c works awesome. Wifi functioned fine. Great spot for 1 or 2 people. Any more than that would be a squeeze. Met the hosts; they could not have been any friendlier. Would be hard to find a better bang for your buck in the area.

  • This cute little room, which is just big enough for the bed, is all you really need! The bed and ample blankets were comfy and I slept great. This historic guesthouse is spacious with multiple areas to sit if you choose to, and walkable to many restaurants and bars. The house was very quiet on a Sunday night, I only saw one other guest and never met the hosts, but everything was easy and straightforward. Great value!

Our cozy master bedroom has private entry, desk space, queen & single beds. In our busy family home with 2 dogs a bird, kids. Large bathroom may be shared "Jack & Jill" style with another AirBnB guest if our other listing is booked. WIFI, TV with Roku, kitchen access, large backyard with swing & sitting area. If you are unkind, high maintenance or don’t like/allergic to dogs/kids, this isn’t the right space for you. Close to highway I-205, MAX light rail line/bus, blocks to shops & restaurants.
Real hardwood floors throughout. Home filled with unique raw edge furniture & artisan made decor all made here. Bird feeders everywhere, we see hummingbirds & other beautiful birds everyday here. Large backyard with handmade swing, beautiful seating area & greenery. PLEASE READ: -You may park anywhere in front of the gate or street parking in the neighborhood. -We do not allow cats here, but some dogs are welcome here. Please use the CONTACT HOST button and include in your message breed and temperament around other dogs, new people and kids. -Do not allow your dog to sleep or walk on the beds. -Always close the gate behind you as you come and go. We love our dog Nigel and would like to keep him safe. -If you are unkind, high maintenance, don't like dogs/kids, are scared of them or allergic, this isn't the right house for you. -This is a busy family/guest home, not a hotel or fancy bed and breakfast. You should expect that the floors in communal spaces may not always be perfectly swept and mopped, you may see some dust here and there, dishes in the sink, our décor and art choices are not for everyone and we are our own landscapers. Book and review accordingly. -Smoking is allowed outdoors only, plenty of cozy places to enjoy in either the front or backyard. -Please feel free to message, call or flag us down around the house with anything you need or any concerns you may have. We want you to be just as cozy here as we are .
We are walking distance from public transport, several restaurants (Thai, pizza, sushi, Chinese), produce market, Trader Joe's & 4 thrift stores.
  • I've been commuting back and forth from Denver for a new job for 2 months now and I haven't slept better than at Siobhan's house. I love the private entrance to the Master bedroom, and it was very open and roomy. The memory foam mattress and bedding was super cozy and there is a fan in the room for white noise. The location is a 3-minute walk from a lot of stores/restaurants, and most important to me, the bus line. The only thing I didn't love was not being able to lock the bathroom door to keep the other guest from coming in. This wasn't a problem while I stayed, and Siobhan is very explicit in her directions that you must knock first, but it's still unsettling.

    Derek2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nice quiet street, beautiful yard, friendly people, and great value. We were in town for a conference and Siobhan's place had everything we needed to relax after a busy day.

    Lindee2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great value and great location. Parking was slick. Private entrance right into the room which I liked. The mattress I slept on was memory foam and that was nice, I was very tired. Initially I was told to follow a link for check-in and was a little put off by it. After messaging I was given satisfactory instructions and when I got there it was easy to check-in. Also I didn’t realize the bathroom has two doors so you have to lock the other bedrooms door from in the bathroom so they don’t go in. Overall great value! I enjoyed my stay. 5 stars.

  • Beautiful and unique home. The bathroom was huge and spacious as well as the room! I slept like a baby! Super comfy and warm beds. Loved the personal touches. The kitchen was beautiful and full of drinks and treats. And Nigel was so sweet! Thank you for having us stay in your home!

  • The place is cute and well equipped. The location is perfect and private and the hosts were very attentive and generous. [The area does have a power issue here and there but they made sure we were taken care of when the next morning the power turned off for a bit. It really didn't cause us any issues because we had such great hosts. ] I would definitely stay again. The privacy and perks definitely exceeded our expectations!

  • Kari's place was perfectly clean and it was beautiful! She went above and beyond with hospitality as well. We had a great stay and would love to stay again!

    Jeanette2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful space with a warm welcome. Exceptionally clean, everything we could possibly need, including details on recycling (this is a must for those of us that do not live in such an environmentally conscientious locale). The added touch of having wine options on site was an exceptional offering. The beds were oh-so-comfy! Designated parking offers a worry free arrival at any hour and security. There is a pretty park that is very close and its an easy drive to go downtown. We will certainly book here again if we are ever in the Portland area! A huge thank to Kari and family for being such excellent hosts!

    Melissa2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Kari’s Tuscan Retreat is cozy and beautiful, with so many thoughtful touches. The property is immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook during our four night stay. We spent New Year’s Eve here and enjoyed local fireworks right from our front porch. We spent ours days in Portland and happily came “home” to the Tuscan Retreat in the evenings. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in the Portland area!

  • We have found THE most perfect Airbnb apartment for our needs! Kari and Jamal's 2 bedroom apartment is beautifully decorated with unusually comfortable beds and furniture, and it is a great place for a Grandpa and Grandmama to keep a granddaughter for overnights. She provided amazing amenities, welcomed us with freshly baked cookies and a bottle of wine, and responded very quickly to communications. Their garden is beautiful and the property has unparalleled views of Mt. Hood. Kari is a gracious hostess and we greatly enjoyed getting to know her. Over the last 15 years, we have rented Airbnb accommodations in several states and European countries, and staying in Kari's apartment was our best experience yet! We hope to return to this wonderful place many times in the future. Rich and Laura from Nebraska

  • This was a perfect place. My daughter and I both said we wanted to live there. It's unbelievable value. The only thing that might not be ideal for some is the location in terms of distance from the city center and Hawthorne. It didn't bother us at all. Public transport is fast and efficient. Aside from that, the cute little house has plenty of space and everything we needed for a perfect stay. The best AirBnB experience I've had overall.
