Juliet was amazing at responding and giving us specific directions so we could get there easily, the lockbox makes checking-in a dream, and there are great tea and coffee / microwave / toaster facilities which made it such a lovely overnight stay! Everything was beautifully clean and in perfect order, and was wonderful to come back to after a long hike in the Dales! Would thoroughly recommend.

  • A very nice place very clean and comfy able. Rebecca was an excellent host. Definitely recommend

    Christopher2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay with great hospitality! It was my birthday and Rebecca had got us a bottle of wine! Rebecca’s place is really lovely and cosy and we shall certainly be booking to stay again when traveling back home!

    Molly2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is the cosiest, cleanest, most well equipped hideaway ever! Perfectly positioned to explore Haworth and the local area and when the weather changes dramatically ( Storm Ciara hit whilst we were there) you can just snuggle up in the warmth, watch a movie and listen to the weather outside. Communication was fabulous as was the thoughtful attention to detail such as providing gluten free bread etc. Wholeheartedly recommended!

    Joanna2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Farfield Den for two nights while my wife attended a course in Keighley. The flat is spotless, lovely and warm and had everything we needed. There were nice little touches, like a bottle of wine and bread, croissants, and milk in the fridge. Rebecca responded to messages promptly and provided useful tips for things to do. It was quite rainy one morning and I happily spent the morning playing board games and watching Netflix with my 4 year old boy. All in all a perfect Airbnb experience!

    James2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant little hidy hole! Lovely and clean and great amenities.

    Rebecca2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The place was beautifully decorated in a lovely and peaceful location. Loved the thoughtful extras like milk, cereals, bread and jam and even a cake, which my children enjoyed thoroughly. Would highly recommend and happily stay again.

    Rakhsana2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Farfield Den was above and beyond expectations. Myself and my partner booked this basement apartment over Christmas and our hosts had kindly left a bottle of red wine and a box of mince pies for us in the lounge, which was complete with Christmas tree. Photos of this Air BnB don't do it justice, as hosts Rebecca and Richard have clearly spent a lot of money to ensure guests have a quality experience with luxury attention to detail in every room. The optimyst fire is a lovely touch, as is the comfy bed, beautiful kitchen and that amazing rainfall shower. The kitchen was stocked with croissants, bread, milk, jams, butter and quality utensils which made cooking a dream. The dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer came in very handy too. Please do not hesitate in booking this fantastic place, we cannot recommend it enough.

A rural retreat with commanding views. We are up at 1000ft on the back of Ilkley Moor looking south towards Haworth and Bronte country as well as being on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with Bolton Abbey just 5 miles away. Although isolated, there are good local rail and bus links to Bradford and Leeds for those missing city life! The Shippon is ideal for that "get away from it all feeling" and for those who don't want all the amenities on their doorstep! Well behaved dogs welcome
Access to the Shippon is via a 3/4 mile farm track with 3 gates. This is fine for cars with normal ground clearance and careful driving but not suitable for low slung vehicles. The weather on the moor can make getting in an out of cars to open and shut the gates a memorable experience so we advise that guests should be physically fit enough to cope happily with this!
  • Beautiful location

    Nina2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible location, right on the moors and some lovely walks. Be warned it's down a small gravel road, so don't bring a low car. The cottage is lovely, and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and stay again if we come back to the area. Ilkley is a lovely local town with great restaurants and shops.

    Jo2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay, the Shippon is gorgeous, everything we needed and more at this cottage! The surrounding countryside is stunning! We tried to take photos but they didn't do it justice!! Our dog had a fantastic time leaping about the moors! Keith is a fantastic host, very attentive and welcoming! Thank you so much Keith, we will be back soon I'm sure!!!

    Fiona2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • The Shippon is in a wonderful area if you are looking for peace and tranquility and wonderful views. There are plenty of opportunities for walks. The cottage is cosy and well equipped.

    Andrew2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at the Shippon, the cottage was exactly as described and just perfect as a little retreat in the middle of nowhere.

    Krystyna2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place! Such a brilliant location for walks onto Ilkley Moor as well as a short drive to the Dales. Perfect for a peaceful getaway. The little cottage has everything you need and such a cosy vibe! Keith was lovely and so helpful. We had such a lovely stay!

    Lauren2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • The Shippon is in an absolutely gorgeous location if you you are looking for some peace and quiet. You can't get remoteness like this, without being prepared to drive up a long farm track! But it is certainly well worth it. Keith provides a clean, cosy, comfortable and independently well equipped "cottage" that is attached to his own home. Keith is friendly and helpful and easily contactable when you need him.

    Simon2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from the most peaceful week at the Shippon. The views are incredible and the accommodation itself is well equipped, clean, tidy, and homely, as well as very dog friendly. Keith and Jane are the most welcoming hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The Shippon is situated perfectly for gorgeous walks straight from the door and the addition of the maps really helped us explore the area to its fullest! Thank you both. We would happily return :)

    Charles2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline was a fantastic host. She made us feel so welcome, comfortable and at home. There was never any question or query that we felt was too silly or small, and the fact she always made herself available for any questions was very much appreciated. We found the house spotless, extremely tastefully, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We are so delighted to have visited. Even the smallest details were well thought through for the comfort and enjoyment of the holiday maker. We hope to be back again very soon.

Situated within the Weaving Shed of an attractive former textile mill, on the Pennine Way in North Yorkshire. The small village of Lothersdale is in a rural valley; five miles from Skipton and on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We can offer bike use, trout fishing in the local stream (in season) and there are numerous country walks. The nearby towns of Skipton and Haworth are popular tourist destinations.
Shed End is an attractive private space on the edge of this compact village. Guests can use adjacent an adjacent meadow and attached yard. The property features period details and underfloor heating. Shed End is part of a wider scheme to convert this 18th century textile mill to residential and commercial use. The Great Wheel is reputedly the largest indoor water wheel in the world.
Lothersdale is a small rural village, typical of the traditional Yorkshire Pennines. There has been very little modern development. We are right on the Pennine Way, along-distance hiking route. We provide info about things to do, including walks, visits and local activities. The nearest small towns are Crosshills and Earby, Skipton (with a castle and other tourist attractions) and Colne are about 5 miles away. The tourist towns of Haworth, Ripon, Harrogate and Knaresborough are about 45-minutes' drive away.

This house had Haworth and Bronte Country on its doorstep but has none of its parking issues. You can walk to Haworth in 20 minutes or take the bus in 5. You are also within close range of other exciting and stunning tourist attractions such as Cliffe Castle, Bolton Abbey, The Dales, and the local heritage of Bradford and Keighley. There are lots of activities locally such as trail/fell running, MTB-ing and cycle sportives. I'm a land artist and each bedroom features a different installation.
No. 2 Heritage Way is a large house with lots of space both inside and out. One unique thing about it is that it has 3 real hens and 3 giant ornamental sheep in the garden. But there is still space for an outdoor eating area, a hot tub, a swingball game and plenty of lawn space for other games and sheltered sunbathing in summer. It might sound weird to have twin orthopeadic beds but older people love them for their comfort and kids love the novelty of using the remote controls to go up and down and lift their legs and head. I am an occasional land artist and each of the bedrooms is named after one of my favourite instalations. the double bedroom is the Broad-Ford suite, the single room is the Branwell and the bicycle suite and the twin room is the Winking Goose Winking Turkey suite. In my job for the local Sue Ryder hospice I am involved with the organisation of a high proportion of the local events that are going on on our doorstep and I can make sure I will notify you in advance of any that are happening during your stay. These include sportives, mountain bike challenges and trail runs in the fantastic local landscape.
Oakworth is a large south facing village with 2 village stores and 2 pubs both within 5 minutes walk of No. 2 Heritage Way. There is also a ladies hairdressers, 2 barbers shops, a sewing cafe, a fish and chip shop, a Chinese takaway and a Indian takaway. For more choice of takaways you are only 5 minutes drive from the town of Keighley and so all the restaurants there will deliver to Oakworth. And if you fancy some good home made food, the Golden Fleece Inn does great food including their award winning Saxon pies. There are another dozen good eating places within ten minutes drive including restaurants on Haworth Main Street and the Wuthering Heights Inn in the village of Stanbury. Oakworth's biggest claim to fame is that it features heavily in the classic film 'The Railway Children'. Oakworth station on the Keighley and Worth Valley Steam Railway remains just as it was on the film and is a great place to climb aboard the train which has stops at Keighley, Ingrow, Haworth and Oxenhope. Within the village is the grounds of what was Holden Hall, a stately home built by mill owner Sir Isaac Holden that burned to the ground in the 19th Centuary. Oakworth is the home of proffessional cyclist Tom Moses who rides through the village each year when the Tour de Yorkshire comes through in early May.

  • Gorgeous property, plenty of space and great amenities including a spacious kitchen, dining area/lounge, large bath and cosy bedrooms. The hot tub was a great addition to our stay and the garden is very well kept. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the decor was thoughtful and quirky and felt very homely. The property has table tennis and board games, as well as TVs with fire sticks for endless entertainment value. Easy to access property, and Andrew is an amazing host, made us feel comfortable right away, gave us directions to points of interests, tips about the local area, and help with the hot tub. Also gave us eggs from his hens and made sure we were stocked with groceries. The property is in a great location for heading into the south of the dales, we took a ride out to Malham Cove which was only about 40 minutes drive and it was spectacular, many other great places nearby to see too as well as nice local pubs within walking distance. Would definitely stay again! Highly recommended.

  • Good sized living space, the house has a really nice feel to it . There was plenty of room for a family of 5. The downstairs bathroom is a touch of luxury, and my girls 3 and 5 enjoyed getting eggs from the garden. Andrew was very welcoming and friendly however also gave us our privacy.

Spacious and light double room in traditional Victorian cottage. Shared living room, large kitchen with inglenook fireplace and a beautiful victorian style bathroom, separate shower. Situated in the picturesque North Yorkshire village of Cononley. Two village pubs and a quirky local shop. Train station 3 mins walk and 1 stop from the beautiful tourist town of Skipton. Easy access to Leeds or Bradford.
This is a beautiful, spacious and bright double room. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and guests are also welcome to make a cuppa in the fabulous kitchen. There is space to study in the bedroom if needed or you might like to simply relax with a glass of wine in our free standing bath! Plenty of room to hang clothes and there is a hairdryer - all ready for an evening out exploring.
Cononley is a very picturesque village nestled into beautiful countryside, just 3 miles south of the thriving tourist town of Skipton. Most houses in Cononley date back to the 17th Century, with recent innovative redevelopment of the former textile mill. There are 2 great pubs and a park with bowling green, cricket pitch and play area. Cononley pubs serve great food and Skipton is very close if you would like more choice. I am involved in Skipton's Meetup - you would be very welcome to join in any of our social events (Skipton has a great live music scene and some fantastic restaurants).

Kissing Gate has been thoughtfully designed by turning an unused garage with bedroom above into a cosy, contemporary, comfortable, tiny cottage for two. It is almost detached, having its own roof but joined to our house by a shared utility room only. Guests have total privacy with their own entrance and internal locking door to the utility room.
Guests enter through bespoke, painted, wooden, double glazed french doors into an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen space. Thermostatically controlled underfloor heating, as well as a wood burner for those extra cold nights, ensure that this space is cosy and warm at all times. Free WiFi is available throughout. The lounge area has a super comfy, part leather sofa and smart tv with FreeSat. The kitchen area is fully equipped with an induction hob, electric oven/ grill, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. In fact everything you would need to make life easy if you feel like cooking. The light filled wood and glass staircase takes you up to the landing from where you access the bedroom and bathroom. The window from the bedroom has the most amazing views across the Aire Valley. The room has a comfortable king bed with luxury white bed linen. The flue from the wood burner passes through this room, so as well as the radiator, if the fire is lit it will be super toasty in winter. The bathroom also has underfloor heating so cosy in all weathers. The towel rail works from the central heating but when this is turned off in summer, can also be heated by an electric element to dry towels. There is plenty of storage in the vanity sink unit and a large walk-in shower.
Farnhill is a picturesque village, 3 miles from the market town of Skipton, gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. The Leeds Liverpool canal runs through the village and is a favourite with walkers, cyclists and holiday and live a board narrow boat users There are numerous varied walks available directly from Kissing Gate across moorland, the canal towpath, fields and riverside. Apart from the dog friendly White Lion pub 5 minutes walk away, it is possible to walk to the popular Gallagher Ale House in Crosshills and the picturesque Slaters Arms in Bradley, which is recommended for its beautiful pub garden and delicious food. Within 30 minutes drive of Farnhill is the spa town of Ilkley with its numerous independent and high end shops, Betty’s tea rooms and Ilkley Moor. Haworth, made famous by the Bronte sisters is well worth a visit as is Grassington, a picturesque village in the Yorkshire Dales. The nearest train station, in Cononley, is just one mile away. If you crave some city life it is a 30 minute journey to Leeds. In the other direction you can be in Skipton in 5 minutes and then travel on the famous Settle to Carlisle railway. There are many more possibilities for days out and we are more than happy to offer suggestions to match your interests.
  • We absolutely loved every single second of staying here! A teeny but perfect place for a couple to enjoy a chilled weekend away. Kay was an amazing host.. left us to our weekend but we knew if we did need anything, she would be happy to help! Absolutely spotless upon arrival and so easy to check in. A central location for long walks with amazing views and also to the local pub. We will definitely be returning! Thank you x

  • Kay's property is of a very high standard specification. It has been thoughtfully designed with quality fixtures and fittings, and stylish decor. Ideal for two people. The Leeds & Liverpool canal is close by, enabling a walk into Skipton. There is plenty of walking on the moor behind the property. The nearby village of Crosshills has an excellent Indian restaurant. Kay is a very pleasant host. We loved staying here, would happily do so again and recommend to others. You will not be disappointed!

The apartment was sparkling clean and the amenities second to none. Our dog had a wonderful time, lots of space and playing with Mel and Jason’s dogs. Great location within a short stroll to a lovely pub (Swan Inn) where we were made very welcome. The welcome groceries were a real treat.

A unique and eclectic loft conversion in the heart of the quiet village of Carleton, 1.5 miles outside the popular market town of Skipton, 'Gateway to the Dales'. Offering seclusion, privacy and comfort, this is a great base for exploring the surrounding area. Carleton has a pub, a social club, a village store, a Post Office, a pharmacy, and direct bus links to Skipton during the week. The Pennine Way crosses the top of Carleton Moor and sections of 2014 Tour de France are on the doorstep.
The Loft is a third floor apartment, comprising a spacious living room with a smart TV including its own Netflix log in and DVD player, a well equipped kitchen, bathroom, secondary WC, bedroom, and private outdoor terrace. The apartment is very light and airy during the day; extremely cosy on a night, and at its best on a summer day when the terrace comes into its own, which is accessed directly from both the living room and bedroom.
A beautiful village in the Yorkshire Dales with a great sense of community.
  • Brilliant stay, the flat is as described - very modern and a lovely space. The communication throughout was great. Lovely area to explore.

  • Kerrie was a wonderful host, providing us with instant responses and helping greatly with info about the weather and flooding round the village. The place is lovely, very clean and modern. Even has it's own Netflix login! And the location is fantastic for popping into the dales for walks. The village pub is across the street. We would definitely stay there again. It has all the kitchen and utility facilities needed (oven, hob, toaster etc and dishwasher, washing machine etc.). All in all, a fantastic place to stay.

A former canal-side pub which has recently been beautifully redesigned and renovated. It has magnificent views along the canal and across the Aire Valley . The front door opens onto the Leeds Liverpool canal towpath. It has a large open plan living room and a well designed kitchen with a separate utility space. The downstairs bathroom has both a shower and bath, and upstairs there is a double bedroom and a separate mezzanine area with a day bed. Self check-in with a key kept in a keysafe.
The property is very light and spaceous and has an excellent central heating system and a wood burner for use in the colder months making it comfortable all year round. It still has the original beautiful wood beams and wood from the former bar has been used to make sills in the living area. The living room has two comfortable sofas and a new 50 inch SMART TV and an assortment of puzzles and games for all ages. It also has spectacular views from all the windows. The windows facing the canal towpath are fitted with shutters which guests can open or close depending on their preferences. The dining area has an extendable table which will easily seat up to 6 people. There is a wood burner in the corner of this area. The kitchen has a useful breakfast bar which seats 2 people, a fridge, freezer, small dishwasher, a fitted microwave, an electric oven and an induction hobb with extractor fan. It is well equipped with crockery, glasses, cutlery and all you will need for self catering including baking and cooking a roast dinner! As you leave the kitchen you enter a corridor with access to the bathroom with a large shower-bath, a basin with a vanity unit, a WC and a bathroom mirror which has a blue-tooth speaker. Along the corridor from the bathroom is a small utility space which contains the washer/dryer and cleaning equipment plus items such as the high chair. The stairs next to the bathroom door go up to the bedroom and the mezzanine area. The bedroom has a very comfortable king-sized bed and a large fitted wardrobe which also contains a drawer unit. it has a second SMART TV in it. The mezzanine has wonderful views down to the living area and a comfortable single day bed with a pull-out trundle bed beneath it. The trundle can be put next to the day bed, providing a full king size bed or simply used as a single. When the trundle is pulled out, the bed does take up the whole width of the mezzanine floor so it would not be possible to walk round it. In this area there are two book cases with a variety of books and some children's toys. The velux windows in the ceiling of the mezzanine have black out blinds, but this is not an enclosed space like the bedroom is, so during daylight hours, it is not possible to make it completely dark. There is a travel cot with linen, which will be put in the bedroom if requested. We welcome up to 2 dogs and have a clean dog bed, dog blankets and towels and a dog bowl for use by our canine guests.
This is a wonderful area for walking and enjoying the countryside. There are lovely walks along the towpath and on Farnhill Moor. Being close to the Yorkshire Dales, there are also many more adventurous walks nearby. We have information about local walks in the property. For guests who are particularly interested in the canal, a number of local canal boat companies hire day boats and details of these will be available to you. The market town, Skipton, is well worth a visit, includuing Skipton Castle and Skipton Castle Woods. In the other direction is the village of Howarth with the Bronte Parsonage Museum and numerous quaint shops. The city of Leeds is a short drive or train ride from the property. There is a pub within two minutes walk from the property and this now serves food. There is also a curry house, a fish and chip shop and an Italian Restaurant within walking distance and numerous other nice pubs and restaurants a short drive away We are happy to provide further information and advice to guests when they visit.

The pretty, white farmhouse is a wonderful place to relax and unwind, with beautiful walks on the doorstep and yet so much to do and see locally. The bedrooms are South facing with spectacular views over farmland and across the Aire Valley. The front field is home to our six Herdwick Sheep and two ducks Donald and Dash. We also have Sam the Border Collie and Tippex the cat. The house stays cool in Summer and log fires burn in the Winter months.
I have one large bedroom with a King Size bed and guests will have exclusive use of the main bathroom shown in the photos during their stay. I also have an additional bedroom which is smaller but very cute and cosy with a double bed and an ensuite toilet and shower room. Both are lovely comfortable rooms and I only have guests from one party staying at any one time, so only use the additional room as required.
We are very close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and just over the hill from the Duke and Duchess of Devonshires' estate at Bolton Abbey. The start of the The Dalesway Walk is only a few miles away in Ilkley, which has a Betty's Tea Room. The spa town of Harrogate and market town of Skipton and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Saltaire are all close by. A short drive in the opposite direction will take you to Haworth the home for many years of the Bronte Family and The Worth Valley Steam Railway, Hardcastle Crags at Hebden Bridge and Halifax, the location of Shibden Hall (Gentleman Jack) and The Piece Hall and then there's Bradford's fabulous Media Museum and Alhambra Theatre.

  • Beautiful cottage with lovely personal touches. Carole was a wonderful host: she was quick to respond and really went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The room was clean, cozy, and spacious, with a fantastic personal bathroom. Fully accommodating our dietary requests (vegan), Carole also made us a hearty and delicious breakfast. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Yorkshire!

    Liam2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely time at Carole's place. Although it looked beautiful on the website, it far surpassed our expectations. It is in wonderful setting, rolling hills and gorgeous countryside, yet only 10 mins drive from Ikley town centre. Carole is a wonderful host, such a lovely person and there were so many lovely extra touches of comfort. We were offered home made flapjack which was divine! The rooms were immaculate and the bathroom was so wow!! Very comfy beds. We paid for the optional cooked breakfast which was fantastic, again with those extra little touches such as home made poached pears, and everything served in lovely pots and bowls. We were made to feel very welcome and within 10 minutes of arriving we were thinking of excuses to return again!!

    Lesley2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This house is absolutely stunning. Located on in a beautiful hilltop, it provides stunning views. Unsurprisingly Carole is a super host; accompanying her lovely house is the care and attention taken to all parts of the stay. Towels to shower products to a welcome cup of tea with Flapjacks. Highly highly recommended.

  • What a fantastic place to stay. An absolute gem. The space is beautiful and there are all sorts of little extras that made the stay so memorable. The room is really comfortable and the bathroom is great with a lovely waterfall shower and huge bath. Carole is a superb host and really attentive. She prepared a delicious meal for us on arrival and breakfast both days. We travelled with our 3 year old daughter and she has been talking about how much she enjoyed her stay, all the way home. We will definitely return.

    Amy2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Carole's home is lovely! The area surrounding the home are stunning, and the house itself is clean, homely with fab decor. It was really easy to check in, Carole met us (and Sam the lovely woof!), a cup of tea and some delicious flapjack were waiting for us when we arrived. It is really easy to get to several nearby towns, we went to Ilkley where there is a beautiful walk over the moor and a tasty pub. Carole was a really wonderful host; kind, considerate with lots of thoughtful touches. The shower was incredible and the bed was sooo comfy. We will definitely stop by again when we are back up this way. Thank you so much :)

  • Great accommodation, great value, good location. Very happy with our first Airbnb stay.

  • Stayed for one night. Lovely room and very clean. Rebecca and Tony were great hosts. Some nice touches (dog treats, dog bed/towel, continental breakfast in room). We paid for cooked breakfast which was lovely. Would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

    Clare2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, lovely cute room with all you need. Private bathroom just up stairs. It may be a room in a house however it is completely self contained basement room with its own entrance! Rebecca and tony left an array of lovely breakfast items, which was a lovely touch. Would certainly recommend!

    Beka2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little room below Tony and Rebecca’s home, nice and bright with views across the fields. Easy walk from the train station about 30 mins from cononley and an hour almost from silsden along the canal. Can access the Yorkshire Dales and three peaks relatively easily from nearby skipton, which we chose to do to avoid the main roads near the house but there’s also walks from the house itself. Tony and Rebecca are really helpful and also really kind replenishing our toast and tea supplies each day! The white bear in cross hills was a lovely local pub with good food. Really recommend

The Weaver’s Workshop is part of Cuckoo’s Nest Farm a Grade 2 Listed, traditional 18th century Yorkshire farm. A cosy studio apartment in a tranquil setting. Located on Addingham Moorside, between the spa town of Ilkley and the market town of Skipton on the edge of the magnificent Yorkshire Dales.
The studio apartment has been sympathetically converted from an original Weaver’s Workshop – using natural materials to maintain an authentic feel. It is cosy, with comfortable seating, dining and sleeping areas – including a hand crafted bed made from wood beams from the farm. There is a compact kitchen area with full size oven and a small fridge with freezer compartment, and a modern shower room. There is also 15 acres of woodland and fields for you to enjoy, including a stream that runs through the land, and plenty of places to explore or sit and relax. Ideal for two people, however we can provide a travel cot for a baby and there is a sofa bed for a small child. We love well behaved dogs and they are very welcome however we do make a charge of £5 per stay for them (payable during your stay).
An ideal spot for those who want a break from their busy lives, the Weavers Workshop offers a tranquil retreat in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. You are likely to spot plenty of wildlife, including roe deer, barn owls, kestrel and if you are lucky badgers, foxes and polecats are also regular visitors but a little more elusive. If you like an active break then this is also ideal for you to explore the area on the many footpaths or cycle routes locally of just up the road in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
  • Great location and a lovely host - great little touches which made it extra special.

    Charlie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Exceptional communication and outstanding flapjack! Me and my partner were a bit rubbish at replying but Graham and Chris were fantastic, and very helpful! Especially offering us a lift into ilkley for the beer festival!!! The weather on the Sunday was atrocious but Graham was quick to let us know that the road conditions were deteriorating so we could still leave (unfortunately)!! Lovely spot!!

    Rachel2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The Weaver’s Cottage is delightful and Graham has thought of everything to make your stay wonderful. The space itself is well thought out, relaxing and cosy. There are so many thoughtful touches and it is such a treat to be in the middle of nowhere with footpaths on your doorstep and local amenities not far away. We will definitely stay here again!

    Bea2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Weavers workshop is located in the most beautiful and peaceful surroundings. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need and is beautifully clean and homely. Graham met us personally and there was lots of little touches about the place which made us feel more at home! We particularly enjoyed walking our dog through the fields nearby. We will definitely be back to stay again.

    Rebecca2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The weaver's cottage was idyllic. The interior was cosy and beautiful, and Graham and Chris were so thoughtful and generous! There were wonderful touches, like fresh eggs, home made yoghurt pots and flapjacks, and the interior was rustic and beautiful. The location is peaceful and quiet, and a short walk from the moor. One of the loveliest places I've stayed!

    Anna2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful little place tucked away in the countryside. We were blown away by all the thoughtful touches and eco-friendly amenities. Fresh bread, flapjack, jam, butter, beer, juice, yoghurts (we mentioned we were vegan so Graham left us a soya milk in the fridge!) Environmentally friendly products eg. washing liquid, toilet roll, bamboo sandwich boxes. There was everything we could possibly need. Comfy bed, powerful hot shower. The place felt warm and comfortable despite the chill outside. Plenty of great walks really close by. Thruscross Reservoir was a particularly beautiful walk, and the Swan Inn in Carleton, Skipton, was delicious (both days)!! Graham was a fantastic host, and we would recommend anyone who's looking to stay in the area. Thanks!

    Isabelle2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t recommend this beautiful cottage enough, amazing place, super value and a great host who was happy to help in any way.

The kitchen is very well equipped,so any cooking is well catered for. Both the queen size bed and the 2 single beds are nice and comfy plus the bathroom upstairs and shower room downstairsare both excellent. All in all a fantastic place to stay.

  • Gemma is a great host and very attentive to details that we provided about our group to cater for our needs. Gemma's place is warm and cosy, and well equipped, quite close to supermarket and petrol station, with easy access to sights and attraction in local areas. Definitely recommended to other guests.

    Wichaya2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Gemma’s cottage. Cononley is a great location - a quiet village setting, well connected to local towns and cities by road and rail. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed during our stay, including a travel cot and high chair for our toddler, which really made a difference. The cottage is a good size and we had plenty of space. Gemma was a great host. I would definitely recommend this place in Cononley to anyone visiting the area.

    Anna2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Cottage is smart and clean with everything we needed, a great location for exploring North Yorkshire. Gemma is a great host.

Located on the side of the Worth Valley with far reaching views towards Haworth and beyond. Ideally located to access the beautiful countryside, beautiful towns and villages and generally enjoy the area. 5 minutes walk to the KWVR steam train station.
A free standing ensuite bedroom located on our property provides privacy for everyone. The room has underfloor heating making it feel comfy and cosy. A TV mounted on the wall and Tea and coffee facilities provided within the room means you are set up for a relaxing stay. You have use of the patio if the weather is up to it! Come and go as you please without worrying about disturbing anyone. Plenty of parking. If you are here at the right time there are usually lambs to be bottle fed! You decide what time you'd like breakfast and i'll deliver it to you. I just ask that you let me know any dietary requirements in advance.
We are a smallholding with goats and chickens, semi rural on the side of the worth valley overlooking the Steam railway with views towards Haworth Main Street. Having said all that a 5 minute walk into the village provides you with a coop, Indian takeaway, Chinese takeaway, Fish and chips, pub and even a cafe so if you fancy a night in, feel free to eat in the cowshed as crockery etc is provided but the room does not have cooking facilities.
  • What a wonderful experience from start to finish at The Cowshed. The cowshed is small but incredibly well designed with beautiful furnishings and fittings and thoughtful touches. A five star experience. The photos do not do the Cowshed justice. Although Abby is close by in her home you have complete privacy. Breakfast works well and is delivered to the door on a tray presented in a beautiful way (felt a little like a honeymoon!). Abby has put huge thought into making this a high quality Airbnb and that you have the best experience you can possibly have. The Cowshed is down a quiet country road. It is a lovely walk (mainly off road down little snickets and pathways from the railway children) to Haworth or a shorter ten minute walk to Oakworth where there is a friendly pub or you can walk (on a rural pathway) to The Grouse pub. There is a lovely view of fields (with Abby's sheep) from the Cowshed out of the large patio doors. You can see the steam from the steam train and hear it going past. Thank you Abby for a lovely stay. We look forward to coming back to see you, the chickens, goats and sheep and lambs. My husband and I both agreed your eggs taste better than any we have ever had! Abby is an interesting woman who is sensitive to giving you privacy but happy to give you a warm welcome.

    Jenny2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Words just can’t do it justice! My boyfriend and I spent New Years here and it was the perfect hideaway! Abby is the most thoughtful and kind host who goes that extra mile! The space is beautifully furnished, So comfortable and the views are lush. Abby includes lots of thoughtful additions- the emergency box was a particular fave of mine! Oh and her breakfast is delicious! Just cannot fault it at all!

    Caroline2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay at the Cowshed - we could not have asked for a kinder, more accommodating or more communicative host. Amazing views, amazing room and amazing breakfast - thank you so much Abby! We loved every minute!

  • Abby was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble, we were going to a wedding which Abby offered to drive us to and ironed my husbands shirt. The breakfasts were delicious and the lovely touches like the luxury toiletries made it feel like we were being really spoilt. The accommodation was sparking clean and it was so nice waking up to the amazing views across fields. We will be back for a mini break soon I’m sure. Thank you Abby for the perfect stay!

  • Really lovely little cottage with stunning views. Nice and quiet, not too far from local towns. Well-equipped kitchen and good-sized bedrooms. The cottage is well-heated but it can be a bit nippy at night, so bring a warm jumper. Very friendly hosts, and a few lovely horses to chat to.

  • Stuart was very helpful especially suggesting place for dinner. Suggest visitors try Turkey Inn at Holmehouses. Home really comfortable though basic; it had everything we needed. Loved looking out of the kitchen/diner window to see the horses looking out over their stable doors. Also lovely views over the countryside. Would love to stay again and for longer. Thanks Anne and Stuart for a great stay.

  • Lovely cottage. Only a mile or so from Howarth, which is beautiful. Good facilities and very clean. The welcome basket was a nice touch.

  • Shimmi was an excellent host, who went above and beyond to accommodate us. The cottage is beautiful and cosy, and we thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary/valentines weekend. Upon arrival, we had been left a very thoughtful food basket, and Shimmi had also decorated the main bedroom with valentine’s decor which was so appreciated. These little touches made it all the more special. The main bedroom is gorgeous, and we loved soaking in the deep bathtub listening to rain. The living room is lovely and cosy, and despite being on a main road, we never found it to be noisy. The kitchen is well equipped and handy. The bathroom is simple and elegant, and the bedrooms contain some of the softest beds ever! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it to anyone.

    Sam2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderfully cosy cottage with a beautiful welcome basket! We had a lovely stay at Whinswood, and it was definitely the quiet break we needed. We spent one day in Haworth, visiting the Bronte Parsonage museum and going walking on Penistone hill. Coming home to the fire, playing board games and sleeping in the huge master bed was just what we needed! A big thank you to Shimmi for such good communication throughout!

  • We loved staying at this cute cottage. It had great facilities, was so close to Haworth and had lovely views of the hills and steam train. The bedrooms were all super cosy and the bath in the top bedroom was lovely.

    Sarah2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely terraced house, didn't feel cramped with 5 people staying. Close to lots of things to do (although it is much easier to get around if you have a car). I particularly enjoyed the bath in the upstairs bedroom!

    Eleanor2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage and well maintained and decorated. Stunning views out of the windows. Host was fantastic at responding to me. Everything we needed was there would highly recommend to others. On a local bus route, well situated near tourist spots, even though it’s on a main road it was quiet because of the great windows. The best part was the bath tub in the top bedroom.

  • Lovely stay in the Annexe! Very good location - we explored Skipton one day and Haworth and the Brontes' country the next day. Michelle had left a basket of goodies for us, which was lovely. We recommend staying there for sure!

  • The Annexe is very comfortable and cosy - plenty of space for a couple. The facilities are high spec and user friendly.

  • Stayed for one night while attending a friend’s 50th birthday party. Really great place to stay. Very comfortable bed with stylish decor. Welcome basket of food and tea/coffee was very appreciated.

  • Great little place to stay within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales. The annex was clean and comfortable and situated in a lovely little village. The Dog and Gun pub is less than ten minutes walk away and the food is great, with special dinners for the dogs too! I would highly recommend. Thanks again Michelle.

The Hideaway is a very unique little cabin which is a bit back to basics with a few treats thrown in. You have your own private fenced off area containing a BBQ/firepit. Inside you will find a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a toaster, a wonderful log burning stove and even a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to welcome you. ONE well behaved SMALL dog can stay, too, sorry, its not big enough to host a large dog as its a small area (certain rules apply, please message us to discuss).
Situated in the beautiful village of Lothersdale, Lakeside Hideaway is a glamping cabin at Raygill Lakes. A wonderful escape from reality, perfect for a couple's mini break or maybe a writer's or artist's retreat, its very peaceful. There is a cafe/ Bar on site if you dont fancy cooking for yourself (weekends only unless by prior arrangement). it’s all you need to relax and unwind in the countryside. We are dog friendly. 1 well behaved SMALL pooch welcome (it isnt big enough for a large dog). There's even a bed for your dog unless you want to bring their own. You’ll get a complimentary bottle of fizz and nibbles on arrival. The toilets are a 50 metre walk away from The Hideaway at the cafe/bar. We are yet to install a shower block in the next couple of months but toilets and washing facilities are here. As it’s a glamping cabin we provide means to cook with, a log burning fire with stove top and mini oven and an outdoor bbq/firepit, we also have a kettle and toaster in the cabin along with utensils, cutlery, glassware and mugs. We recommend bringing your own wash towels and toiletries and, as there is no running water in the Hideaway we will supply you with bottled water for drinking for your stay and there is a washing up sink at the lodge. You have a key for the toilet/wash facilities which you can access any time during your stay. Bring your fishing tackle and have a go whilst you're here. There's a fishing peg included at the Hideaway (rules apply). Lothersdale/Raygill has no mobile phone signal but WiFi is now available at The Hideaway (fingers crossed). It is a truly unique accommodation that we are sure you will love.
Raygill is a very important area of geological interest. It is an old limestone quarry that has been tended to and cared for by its owners for the last 30 years and now it is an area of natural beauty and the wildlife is abundant. The Lakeside Cafe & Bar are in the Fishery Lodge just a short walk away from you if you want food and drink (open weekends only unless arrangements are made by yourselves and the owner) but if you fancy a stroll into the village 1 mile away you will find The Hare and Hounds pub. They serve good ales and food all day, every day.
  • We had a lovely stay here - clear details were sent on how to get there and we were met on arrival. The log burner kept the place warm (despite very low temperatures) and it was nice to be able to hear all the birds and wildlife. We will definitely be returning!

    Laura2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We celebrated our anniversary here and had a great time. The Cabin was just as advertised so no nasty surprises. Amanda asked what time we would be arriving so she could have the cabin nice and warm for us. On arrival we were hit by the beautiful smell of wood burning coming from the cosy warm cabin and the view over the lake was breathtaking. The hosts were really friendly and the locals in the on site bar all made us feel very welcome which added to our lovely experience. We had the best nights sleep in the comfy bed and look forward to returning in the Spring.

  • I went with my partner a week ago now for his birthday and we had a great time. Met lots of lovely people and we will definitely be returning. It’s great for a cosy weekend away with the log burner inside and good for dogs too as there’s lots to do around the area. Very local to us too.

    Ellie2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect escape! The Hideaway was exactly what we were looking for, we had the most wonderful sleep. The log burner was on when we arrived making it really cosy. We loved listening to the wildlife while the fire crackled. The prosecco & crisps were nice touches too. We found a book of walks which was really helpful. The local pub ‘Hare & Hounds’ is a short walk away and the food incredible. Would recommend to anyone.

  • We had a great stay at this cosy little cabin. Our hosts were super friendly and there to greet us on arrival and show us the place and how everything worked etc. The cabin was nice and warm when we entered, with some snacks and a bottle of prosecco left for us which was a really nice touch. There was also tea and coffee, milk and water. We enjoyed sitting by the lake in the evening by the fire, and the stove inside kept us toasty all night long too. Whilst there isn’t any signal at the cabin (which we don’t mind at all) there are usb plug sockets if you want to charge your phones to play music etc which was really useful. We had lunch plans the next day or we would have eaten at the cafe at Raygill, as the burger options sounded fab! We will definitely be back for a bit of a longer stay when the weather is a bit nicer so we can enjoy some of the walks etc. Would recommend staying here for sure :) Thanks for having us!

  • Great central location overlooking canal. Easy check in and big bedroom with massive spotless en suite. Queen size really comfy bed, Apple TV (husband was v pleased!). Many more ‘welcome pack’ items than expected especially as price was very reasonable. Although kitchen was shared we didn’t see anyone else the whole stay. We will definitely book again when visiting Silsden.

  • Neal was great to communicate with, very helpful and accommodating. His place was a perfect location to relax overnight whilst enjoying some wonderful cycling along the Leeds Liverpool Canal and exploring the picturesque Ilkley Moor.

  • We stayed here for one night over Christmastime whilst visiting family and would happily stay here again! The place was very spacious and had everything we needed, helped by all of Neal's thoughtful little touches and extras. The room and adjoining en suite were all very clean and well maintained. There was dedicated car parking right outside, and the room was secured with our own key. Best of all, we were kept company by the friendliest cat we'd ever seen! Thanks Neal, hope to stay again soon!

  • This is a well presented property, with a well behaved resident, Marmalade the at. The third floor room has a spacious bedroom connected to an equally large bathroom ( no door to separate these rooms). There is tea and coffee facilities and a huge TV. Overall a superb place and I would book it again

With its idyllic location, sweeping views and original character farmhouse interior, Swallow Cottages offers exceptional accommodation year-round.
Keighley has 3 supermarkets, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Asda and is less than 3 miles from the Cottage. Swallow Cottage is perfectly situated to reach the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Ilkley and Harrogate. The train station into Leeds or further afield can be taken from Keighley.

It was a good chance for me to snap some good pictures with my camera and a great opportunity to take a breath from life's hustle and bustle. Would highly recommend.

An old tall terrace house on a cobbled street with wonderful views up and down the Aire valley. A spacious double bed bedroom with use of a fully furnished kitchen, including a basic breakfast, sitting room, bathroom and back garden, which is perfect for unwinding in the afternoon sun with a drink after walking on the local moor or dales. Comfy, relaxed home with a cheeky but friendly young cat called Toulouse.
I am in the process of doing up my first home. The kitchen is complete and sitting room almost done; I’m just working on making some curtains and installing a fire. The spare room is set up as a bedroom and work space, which is where I work on developing my art and wedding stationary range when I don’t have guests. The bathroom is in good working order just a bit dated ... it is the next room to be decorated; I’m aiming to put in a free standing bath and walk in shower!
Being on the edge of the Yorkshire dales means great access to walks and cycle routes. Along with lots of wonderful villages and towns to visit, such as Skipton or Grassington within a 20minute drive, along with a range of National Trust and other historic attractions. There is more than enough to see and do in the area.
  • Very welcoming, home from home, comfortable space and friendly host. What more do you want? Can also recommend the Chinese chippie just down the road.

  • Great attic room in a lovely house on a hill in Yorkshire. Ellie is a fantastic host, super easy and lovely to communicate with. Very nice to have a simple breakfast to help ourselves to. Some steep slopes if you walk to the pub but does give lovely views. Easy location to drive around the Dale's or Yorkshire. Would definitely recommend!

  • Everything just as described and we thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at Kirsty’s place. Lovely place, friendly helpful couple. Silsden is very pleasant and so close to Skipton and other places of interest. Very good value and great to be able to book just one night at a few days notice. I’d love to take our dog but don’t think he’d manage the steps, and I wouldn’t manage getting him up them... large Labrador! Nice to know dogs are welcome though.

    Alison2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Host and hostess were friendly and welcoming and the room was a good size. We had a great time, thanks.

    Cheryl2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable, warm, attractive place to stay. The hosts were good communicators. I stayed in one of two available rooms which have a separate private entrance/keys, plenty of tea/coffee available, a large private spacious dining area and plenty of cereal/milk provided for breakfast. The bed was large and comfortable; the whole place was clean. Bathroom a good size with a lovely hot shower. Also an area on the large landing between the two bedrooms with books to read, and a sofa, and table and chairs, to sit at. There are quite a few stairs to climb - an external staircase to reach the front door, and stairs to the bedrooms. A very pleasant place to stay, with attentive and kind hosts. Highly recommended.
