  • Beautiful house, better than the pictures reveal!

  • We had such a great weekend for our friends 30th birthday, the house was very clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were great, as the hot tubs went wrong once or twice but they were there within minutes to sort it out. We asked for take away menus and they were there, they couldn't do enough for us. Only downside was the water kept going cold so we really had to stagger showers but there was 14 of us and the house wasn't the warmest but it's a barn conversion and it was very windy!! We have all said we would definitely come back and stay here!

    Jo2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The barn is a beautiful place to stay with a very nice hot tub. It is in a quiet location but near to plenty of pubs and beaches. The water can be a little chilly but as long as you stagger showers this can be managed. Wifi is also a bit hit and miss but does the job for a few days away. Thank you very much!

    Kathryn2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was amazing! We stayed for two nights for a hen do and had such a good time! The kitchen was fab, and it's so spacious. We hired butler's in the buff for cocktail making and games - it's a really good space! The lounge is a lovely place to relax, and every bedroom was really nicely decorated and clean! Underfloor heating throughout which was nice. The hot tub was fantastic! Would definitely recommend for a large group! And the check in and out was super easy!

    Chloe2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Exceeded our expectations and the pictures does not do this barn justice, it's even more beautiful in real life. when we arrive we was greeted and shown around the home and we were made to feel so welcomed like this was our own place. The barn was spotless and didn't find any dirt anywhere. You're provided with towels, tea-towels, toilet roll, tea, coffee, sugar and milk which was so thoughtful as that makes all the difference. we had our dad's 50th birthday here and there was more than enough room for everyone (as a family of 13) it was so nice to be able to share a dinner table together, a living room where you can all sit down it was truly beautiful. we were provided with so many games, puzzles, dvd's etc. but my only recommendation would be there should be a TV added to the down stairs living room as kids wanted one thing on the telly and adults wanted another so it would've been great to have another option, we personally thought the kitchen as we noticed the Freeview Ariel and that's where we spent most of our time. But we couldn't fault this place even if we tried, thank you so much for a lovely stay, we will 100% be back.

  • We had a wonderful hen weekend at Medieval Swafield Barn! It's a great space for 15 people and all of our party was wowed by the barn. The hot tub was a big hit and stayed very warm throughout the weekend. The kitchen island is a great space and the dining area was comfortable for all of us. We did run short of hot water despite staggering our showers but you are warned about this in the welcome book at the barn. Our correspondence with the hosts before our stay was great and every query and request was answered - we requested extra tea towels during our stay as only one had been provided and they were brought straight away. We also enquired before our stay about whether bluetooth speakers were available and the host confirmed they had purchased some for the barn - thank you! Overall a great weekend had by all! Several of our party are thinking of occasions that they can book the barn for!

    Claire2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, would recommend 100%, stayed up all night and no complaints from neighbours, lovely hot tub, lovely rooms, thanks for having us

The Crossing Retreat is a timber clad modern barn which has been renovated to give guests a taste of the countryside with a quirky twist. The large bi-folding doors along one side of the Retreat allow guests to open up their living space to the outdoors, perfect for those warm evenings. In the cooler months it provides a great source of light, enabling guests to watch the world go by from the warm and cosy comfort of indoors. The surrounding fields provide lovely views from the Crossing Retreat’s private courtyard garden where guests can enjoy the lantern lit outdoor seating area.
Tunstead has many traffic free walks/ cycle routes and a very cute watering hole which welcomes passers by with home cooked lunches, local ales, cakes and evening meals at the weekend. St Mary church at the end of the lane is a particularly vast church for such a small village, so too is the church at Worstead just 2.5miles away. This village is also host to Titchfest held this year on 25th-26th June and the famous Worstead festival on 30th-31st July. Hoveton Hall is just around the corner and has some amazing gardens to stroll round. Also very close by is Wroxham Barns which has a farmyard, amusement rides, garden centre, specialist shops and a restaurant (which sells the most amazing full English breakfast!). Further on but still only 3 miles from the cottage is Wroxham, the heart of the broads. There you can hire a boat, canoe, bike or walk along the river sampling the restaurants and cafes. It is also where you can board the Bure Valley Railway, which is Norfolk's longest fifteen inch gauge line running between Wroxham and Aylsham. The 18 mile round trip takes you through the picturesque Bure valley countryside following the river and stops occasionally at small country villages. Also within 3 miles is Coltishall, a lovely village on the river Bure, housing antiques shops and pubs with outdoor seating on the riverside. You are also only 10 miles from the famous North Norfolk coastline. Whether you're looking for large expanses of sand, walking along sand dunes or marshland, bird/ seal watching or water sports the Norfolk coastline has them all. Just over an hour's drive takes you to Southwold, a typical Victorian seaside town with a modern take on the classic arcades. We can't not talk about North Norfolk without mentioning the National Trust sites; Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park and finally Blakeney Point. We also have some super golf courses which we have played on and will be able to recommend to you. Finally, the Georgian town of Holt is also not far away and is a must to sample its quirky shops, pubs and galleries.

  • Crossing retreat made for a lovely weekend away - there were great facilities (loved the pool table, projector and cinema sound!) and it’s in a lovely part of Norfolk. Andy and Em were quick to reply to any messages and gave good tips on where to eat in the area etc. Would definitely recommend!

    Amy2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved our stay, everything was spotless and clean (bedding, towels etc smelt lovely and fresh), the pool table was awesome and we loved watching films on the projector. It was like having our own private cinema, such a lovely place. And to top it all off, the cats were beautiful and Lulu was the sweetest cat we've ever met, with her padding and purrs and cuddles. Really was a home from home, would love to come again xxx

  • We had a wonderful stay with Angie. The kids adored the animals and she was an amazing host! The breakfast was lovely and Angie accommodated any special requests. The children loved helping with the horses and riding on the mini-tractor. There is so much to see and do in the area, we would love to come back again and we would definitely stay with Angie.

  • 4 of us and 2 dogs had to do a very last minute trip up to Aylsham and found Angie's place at a very late stage in the day, but that wasn't a problem and Angie was more than accomodating. She's a great host and loves her house and animals very much. Everything was spotless and the house is really well laid out. And it's so quiet when you're in bed. We had a delicious breakfast cooked for us in the morning and got to meet Lola the parrot. Can't recommend this place highly enough and will definitely stay there again.

    Phil2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I stayed in Angie:s lovely home for just a night but we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Angie is very welcoming and a great host allowing us free range of her home. The added bonus was her Parrot 'Lola' and dog Archie who both contributed to the welcome and the homely atmosphere. We will definitely go back when we can stay longer and I would recommend Angie's to all.

The Annexe provides light, attractive, comfortable self contained accommodation in our recently refurbished home. We are in the centre of Aylsham with easy access to the Bure Valley Railway, pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Annexe has its own entrance and is on the ground floor with parking outside. Guests have the use of their own brand new shower room and lobby with under floor heating. They may also use the utility room equipped with fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer.
The kitchenette is equipped with a kettle, a toaster and provisions for a continental breakfast. There are several cafes, restaurants and pubs in easy walking distance where more substantial food can be obtained. Aylsham is a very attractive, historic market town which is ideally located for access to Blickling Hall, the beautiful Norfolk coast and the fine city of Norwich.
Despite being in the centre of the town, the property is very quiet. Guests have their own parking space on the drive of the house, just outside the Annexe. Keys Auction house is at the bottom of the road and there are regular markets in the town centre.
  • We had a great three night stay in this sparklingly clean and beautifully appointed cottage. The bed was very comfortable and all amenities perfect. We would have appreciated a small microwave oven to heat food and beverages in the cold of winter but this lack did not detract from our overall enjoyment of our stay. Our hosts, Adrian and Cathie, were very friendly and helpful and we would highly recommend their place to any travelers to or through Aylsham. We would love to stay again if we find ourselves in the vicinity.

    Glenys2020-02-26T00:00:00Z

Then to warm by the log fire on an evening was amazing. The cottage is in a fab location if you are looking for walks or north Norfolk seaside villages. The views around the cottage are spectacular and we were greeted every morning by the chickens which was a nice touch. We will definitely be going back to Brick Kiln in the future.

  • Charming little cottage, well presented. Has adequate space for four adults in a double bed upstairs and double bed-settee downstairs. Close to supermarket, market, easy access to the Broads and coast. Good location as a base for outings.

  • Lovely little cottage newly refurbished with all you could need. Friendly and welcoming host really quick to respond to messages.

    Liz2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in the cottage, it was well equipped, cosy and newly decorated in a stylish and comfortable way. Elaine was very welcoming and helpful, she met us upon arrival, showed us the property and provided information on the local area. The local area is fantastic, with a variety of shops, eateries and amenities. Anyone looking to book should give the Shambles bistro a try, excellent food, value for money and allergy friendly. Plus the chip shop about 30 yards down the road is also an excellent choice. Car parking is on a public car park on Vicarage Street (just behind the cottage), is reasonably priced and felt safe enough.

  • What a super welcome! From the moment she opened the door, Andrea was lovely and I felt totally at home throughout my all too short stay. (I also had an issue with my onward travel arrangements which she was instrumental in sorting out) Andrea's house is warm and comfortable. My room was clean and Trixie the dog is very friendly. Thanks, Andrea.

  • Fantastic and homley experience like a home from home! Will definitely recommend and use in the future.

  • Andrea is a fantastic host (and Trixie too of course!) and a lovely person. Very quickly I felt like I was staying with an old friend, not a complete stranger. On top of that, the place was clean and the bed comfy. I hope to be returning soon.

  • Had a lovely weekend stay at Andrea's . Of all the airbnbs ive stayed at , Andrea was the most welcoming host of all . Close to the East coast and Norfolk Broads , only a few miles drive , it's an ideal location . Shops in nearby North Walsham . All good experience , enjoy !

  • Once again an enjoyable place to stay.

    Jonathan2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most special places I’ve ever stayed, certainly with one of the most special, most talented and most generous people. People would pay to stay with Andrea but she thinks that charging too much would be taking advantage. Just wonderful - room, house, hospitality. Mark my words, she’ll be offering ‘Experiences’ soon and get the game and fortune she deserves but doesn’t care for. We need more #CreativeCarers like Andrea in the world. Grateful to AirBnB for the connection. It’s what it is all about. People. #OneLessStranger

    Nick2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay at Andrea’s. The place is spotlessly clean and Andrea is very welcoming and happy to chat. Although the room is small it’s comfortable and has the necessary amenities. It totally suited me for just one night and I slept well. I spent several minutes in the early morning watching a number of house martins flit around the sky then come back to the nest under the eaves just above my window - that was magical for me! If you’re looking for good, clean, friendly, budget accommodation this is a good place.

    Helen2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Andrea is a perfect host. Gave all the necessary and detailed information. Very good communication. Very polite and friendly person. Her home was nice and sparkling clean. Everything was perfect. Recommend the listing and the host.

  • My wife and I have just got back from a stay here for the weekend. Tracey was a brilliant host and met us shortly after our arrive to greet us. The Den was so nice and clean and Tracey had put some lovely little touches in there for our arrival and stay. Our first night there we went out for a meal at the foundry arms in north repps, very nice food and friendly staff and great value for money. On Saturday we went to cromer for the day and out again that night for a steak meal near Norwich called steak in the sticks. Overall we had a relaxing weekend away and would definitely stay again. Thank you to Tracey for having us and making us feel very welcome

  • You'd struggle to find anything to complain about here. The communication was great, as soon as it got close to our stay we got the check in instructions which could not be clearer, it's nice to do self check ins in my opinion. As soon as we got in could instantly see and smell how clean the place was. There was local knowledge left on notes for guests to use as they wish. The hut had so much to offer, even if it's a night in you want, stuff to keep you busy. Everything we wanted to do and see was about half hour away, 40 max. All in all a great stay and would highly recommend. Thanks for the lovely stay. Tommy.

    Tommy2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully appointed hut , good quality everything ( including smart tv , a first for us in an air b and b ) in a lovely location by a stream , the village is a rarity in the modern world having a shop , pub and excellent fish and chip shop , reasonably good day time public transport , very near to the much improved small town of Alysham . Excellent value

  • Loved our 4 night stay at the Cart Lodge. Everything we could have asked for and more. Brilliant facilities, kitchen had everything we needed (we cooked quite alot), lovely welcome pack provided with lists of local things to do, walking routes, restaurants, takeaways etc. We took our dog who seemed to love the trip too, paddock opposite the lodge perfect for him to have a run around, and small private garden area too with hot tub. Lodge felt private but not too secluded. Great communication with Clare (not that we needed anything). Thank you for a stress free stay.

  • We had the most amazing weekend getaway in this beautiful cottage. If you're looking for a place that offers privacy, tranquility, access to nearby beaches, a great location for exploration and a true home away from home then this is the perfect place! We loved everything: our welcome package, your quick response, the binder full of recommendation and little gems, the amenities, a well-equipped kitchen, and the little bonus play date our little bichon Maila had with your doggies. Thank you for being such a thoughtful host. We will certainly be back :) xx

  • What a lovely stay. From the lovely touches on arrival, robes and slippers to the restful decor and lovely location we've had a great weekend celebrating my husband's birthday. We arrived on a filthy wet friday night and the lights and heating were on so it was toasty and welcoming. It is perfectly placed for trips into Norwich or to the coast but just relaxing in the lodge was fabulous and the hot tub is amazing.

  • We loved our stay here, it was beautiful and took our two dogs who loved the closed in garden. Easy communication, it was clean, well equipped and loved the hot tub in the evenings making quality time to relax. The welcome basket of goodies was a very thoughtful idea and we was extremely grateful 😊 Not a bad word to say to anything, will definitely be back 🍾🍷

  • Lovely cosy place, the hot tub was welcomed after a day battling 'Storm Dennis' at the beach to see the seals. We tried 2 restaurants recommended in the folder and loved them both. Our small 7 month old cockapoo came with us and he loved it too, the garden was enclosed so he could go outside without us worrying he would disappear. Great location for beaches and walks!

  • We spent one night at Andrea’s for a walking weekend. Communication was great, self check in was really easy, and Andrea has a large array of books on the area, and walk advice. Also, wonderful homemade bread for breakfast with the company of her lovely dog Trixie!

  • Andreas place was absolutely lovely. The attention to all the details that made the trip so special were amazing. Also she has a lovely dog that was cuddly and friendly to us during our stay. We had a fresh loaf of bread at breakfast which was kind and unexpected. Along with the wood fire in the evening which made it all very cosy. Andrea was great at giving space if we needed it and being a fab lady for conversation too. There’s lots of flyers and books at the house if you want info about the local area, the old railway trail and the restored canal. Loved it all

There is a fully fitted and equipped kitchen where you can prepare your meals, we will leave a welcome basket with a continental breakfast, tea, coffee and nespresso machine. The location and cottage are ideally suited to those that enjoy the great outdoors, with lovely country walks and local cycle routes. There is also a gym on site and a luxurious Wellis Spa hot tub, that is the perfect way to relax at the end of a long day. We have adult and children’s bikes that are available to rent. We have some great cycle routes in the immediate area, starting at the property, from 5km to 200km, we can provide a recommendation for you. Guided cycling tours can be arranged with us at weekends at an extra charge, please enquire if you are interested. We can arrange leisurely rides along the Weavers Way.
The cottage is located close to Worstead, Norfolk, England, United Kingdom. The Norfolk and Suffolk Broads are Britain's largest protected wetland and third largest inland waterway in the UK, with the status of a national park. It's also home to some of the rarest plants and animals in the UK. The Broads Authority was set up in 1989, with responsibility for conservation, planning, recreation and waterways. From windswept beaches and quaint coastal villages to nature reserves, market towns and beautiful sweeping countryside perfect for an amble. There are many things to do and places to visit throughout Norfolk, including excellent family attractions along with a fantastic calendar of year-round events held in different towns and villages. The fine city of Norwich is only a short drive away making for an ideal day trip for culture, shopping, theatre or eating out. The city of London is a 90 minute train ride away from Norwich station, trains leave every 30 minutes.
  • What a special place to relax and recover. The obvious jewel in the crown is the hot-tub, which doesn't disappoint, but everything else was perfect too. The kitchen is really well equipped which is a big plus for us, since we much prefer to cook ambitious things and eat in. The bed was super comfy and with the darkness and quietness made for a great night's sleep. Our only bit of feedback would be to have the heating timer on a little longer at this time of year - we found ourselves pressing the 1hr boost button a few times, particularly after making the 10 metre dash from the tub back to the cottage in the high Norfolk winds! Will definitely be coming back again in the future.

  • Clare's place is a very stylish and comfortable bolt-hole away from the world - beautifully appointed, everything you could possibly need, excellent location. Watching the stars from the hot-tub was a particular highlight but everything was great. Good comms, clear instructions, lots of good info - couldn't ask for better - thank you Clare!

  • Clare’s a great host the Diary barn is beautiful. Nice touches like milk, bread, OJ and jams on your arrival. Make sure to pre book hot tub we didn’t and missed out.

  • Lovely cottage, really up to date amenities. Gorgeous hot tub! When a problem occurred due to Storm Ciara, Clare sorted it out pragmatically and generously. Its in a great area with easy access to anything you could wish for including seals on the beach! Secure garden for a dog.

  • James and I booked to stay here after our wedding for a couple of nights. Clare was absolutely fantastic helping us to get booked in, keeping in contact before the stay and left us something to help us celebrate our marriage which was so incredibly thoughtful. The hot tub was amazing! We both loved being able to relax after such a busy day and took full advantage of this facility! The bed was super comfy, the bathroom was spotlessly clean as was the rest of the house. I literally have nothing to fault! Thank you again.

    Kelly2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A great little getaway, clean and modern. Great connection with the host, will definitely be back! Thankyou for having us!

    Poppy2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend here! Really beautiful location, the cottage is lovely and the hot tub is AMAZING! All the little touches were very much appreciated, such as the continental breakfast and the robes and slippers for the hot tub! Clare was a brilliant host - really friendly and very welcoming, and on hand to sort any issues (even setting up an app to control the hot tub for us in advance as she noticed it had an issue with one of the buttons before we arrived - and even that was fixed the next day!). We'd 100% recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

  • Bit of an out the way location make sure you can get a taxi to the Bnb! Amazing amenities even a little basket of jam bread butter etc when we arrived

  • North Walsham is a lovely little town in North Norfolk and this cottage is ideally placed - near to amenities - restaurants, pubs and shops and also not too far to get to some nice National Trust properties and the coast. I would recommend this cottage to anyone - we have stayed a few times and will return! The responses from the hosts are very quick and helpful. Can't find a bad word to say about this property.

    Penny2020-01-02T00:00:00Z

Super charming cottage in a really good location, close to shops and cafes in North Walsham and to other parts of beautiful Norfolk. The Annexe at Diggens Farmhouse is a newly renovated space with fully fitted kitchen, modern bathroom and comfortable bedroom. There is private parking and we offer a continental breakfast basket, tea and coffee making facilities and WIFI. Aylsham is midway between Norwich and Cromer and 10 miles from the Broads and close to Blickling Hall. We are 10 minutes walk from Aylsham Town Centre and 5 minutes from M&S Simply Food. 2 night minimum stay at weekends.
  • The annex was a beautiful place to stay. It was spotlessly clean and had a wonderful kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. There was also a washing machine which really helped as we ended up doing a lot of muddy walks! The bedroom and bathroom were also well-equipped and comfortable. Charlotte also took the trouble to make sure the annex was lovely and warm when we arrived and left us some breakfast things which was a blessing. We would definitely stay there again, thank you so much Charlotte and John!

    Yasmin2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Diggens Farm Annexe is simply superb in every way. We've just returned from our stay there and it's the second one this year. The accommodation is spacious, spotlessly clean and has every conceivable amenity and all sorts of thoughtful little touches - and completely independent of the Farmhouse itself. It really is a lovely little place, set in lovely surroundings on the edge of Aylsham. The town centre is reached in a few minutes by car and there is a large supermarket on the way there. I simply cannot recommend the accommodation highly enough, and the hosts, Charlotte and John, are so friendly and welcoming.

Spacious converted stables in the Norfolk countryside, with cosy living area, two bedrooms (one with an en-suite) and safe enclosed garden. Ideal for a couple or a family.
There is a large open-plan living room with a lounge area and kitchen diner. This has exposed beams and a wood burning stove and pulls off the trick of remaining cool on hot days, but is warm and cosy when the weather is on the cool side. The kitchen is equipped with oven (grill), hob, washing machine, dishwasher and seating for four people. There’s a toaster, kettle and a good range of crockery  and utensils. The fridge has an icebox for drinks on those hot days. In the lounge area there’s a woodburning stove, a range of board games and books and a smart television & DVD. There is wifi, and a Bluetooth speaker for playing music from phones, tablets etc. The property has oil fired central heating. Whilst the Old Stables has no specific adaptations for disability, it is all on one level and there is step-free access to the shower.
The Old Stables is set in the heart of the North Norfolk countryside, midway between the market towns of Aylsham and North Walsham. It is located on a quiet lane and looks out onto fields and trees and is regularly visited by deer, owls and bats. Only  20 minutes away there is the Norfolk coast with its beautiful beaches, family-friendly resorts and spectacular wildlife. The magical waterland of the Norfolk Broads is also close by, and the lively city of Norwich is only  30 minutes’ drive away. There are several pleasant market towns close by, as are the beautiful National Trust properties of Blickling and Felbrigg. Closer to home, the immediate area is full of quiet lanes which lend themselves to cycling and walking, and we are very close to the Weavers Way long distance footpath. The cottage was converted from a former stable, retains many original features and has a safe, enclosed garden. Although Norfolk is one of the driest places in Britain, the cottage is well-equipped for those times when the weather is less than ideal.  We also have dark skies ideal for stargazing.
  • Nice quiet retreat out in the sticks but close enough to local attractions and beaches. You’ll need a car to get about. Would definitely recommend.

    Davi2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • From the beginning to end of our short break, Tony was an amazing host. We arrived to find extra touches that we didnt expect, in a beautiful, clean and very well designed conversion. The rooms were perfect sizes, simple but stylish and everything a family could need was there. Nothing was too much trouble for Tony, who was more than helpful with suggestions of local places to visit and eat. The property itself is located perfectly for exploring north east Norfolk, and even in the local vicinity we found a beautiful walk. We would definitely return.

    Jo2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Tony and Megan's place is fantastic. Much bigger than we expected - spacious rooms and a layout that meant we could put our baby to bed and not worry about disturbing him. It also has a lovely private garden to relax and eat in if the weather is good. Tony and Megan are very hospitable and friendly and have some great tips for local things to see and do. The location is excellent for exploring local coastline and country walks with a dog. We were very lucky to find this place!

  • Stunning spacious cottage with oodles of character. Top quality fittings & fixtures and some really lovely personal touches & extras. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay along with the gifted bottle of Merlot.

    Carrie2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely quaint cottage in a quiet and peaceful setting. Was a good base for us whilst we explored the North East of Norfolk. Ian and Pia were very quick and efficient in communication and the welcome pack with bread, milk, tea and coffee was very much appreciated. Along with the robes and slippers! Husband was especially appreciative of the bottle of wine! We will recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful break in North Norfolk. The only thing we missed (minor thing) was a shower, only as we prefer showers over baths but we knew when booking there was only a bath with a hand held shower head at this cottage so we were not bothered in the slightest. Lovely place to be for a long weekend.

    Carly2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint and quiet with wonderful surroundings. Very thoughtful welcome pack

The complimentary 'welcome' items are always a nice touch also. I've never been to Norfolk before and found the cottage a very convenient base to tour around the lovely countryside and local villages from. Many thanks.

  • This was a lovely cosy place set in a quiet countryside village. Very easy check in using the code provided and made the place feel very secure. The house was very clean, bright, and with plenty of room but kept the cosy charm of the era it was built. The bed was super comfortable and meant that mornings were all the more hadrder to get out of bed as never wanted to leave. The electric log fire place was a nice touch too especially in the cold evenings and was good to curl up infront of to stay warm. Plenty of off road parking too helped with loading/unloading our belongings! Would definitely stay here again!

Communication was excellent and both Nigel and Melanie were extremely helpful. She couldn't be more effusive about it and would recommend it to anyone coming to Aylsham.

  • Bridge Cottage was lovely, with charm and perfect scale. It was nicely decorated, with everything I needed. (including a fan!) It is located on the edge of Aylsham, close to quiet country roads and fields. I loved renting bicycle and riding through the area and up to the coast.

  • What a lovely cottage in a beautiful part of England. We were visiting relatives in the area and found Bridge House to be the perfect spot to rest and recoup after days out enjoying the region. The house was beautifully presented, and we loved the touches like fresh flowers and a welcome hamper. The beds were super comfy, nice little fireplace for chilly evenings and a gorgeous kitchen. We were travelling with our kids (9 and 8) and recommend Bewilderwood (our third visit!), Cromer for fish and chips and the RNLI, and definitely the Redwings Horse Sanctuary in Aylsham - what a fabulous place! Can't wait to visit again next year.

  • Bridge cottage is in a great location for exploring Norfolk. We were spoilt for things to do and especially enjoyed National Trust property Blickling which is within walking distance. Now is the time to come to Norfolk; romantic walks on quiet beaches, beautiful crisp days and cosy pubs with a roaring log fire . Book now for a quiet spring break or plan for the summer and get away from it all - to quote a recent guest - 'the quietest place we've ever slept!'
  • A lovely, cosy place located in a secluded spot, which is a great base for exploring Norfolk. We really enjoyed our stay, and Michael and Dorothy were great hosts. We especially liked the welcoming touches of fresh daffodils, homemade cake, and doggy treats. Would highly recommend.

    Edward2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Michael and Dorothy’s place is beautiful. It’s set in very peaceful surroundings and the space is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Michael gave us a very warm welcome and gave some good tips for the local area. We would definitely recommend and will be returning. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

    Alice2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful venue for a short break. Michael and Dorothy are wonderful hosts mad made us (and our Labrador most welcome). They offered timely feedback to information requests and a warm welcome. I'd highly recommend this venue.

    Richard2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Michael and Dorothy for making us welcome. Secluded luxury is a very accurate description - we were welcomed into a warm, cosy cottage - log burner alight - (gas fired but realistic and hot) and it was especially lovely to find a cottage decorated for Christmas with the further treat of home made mince pies. The kitchen is very well equipped - pretty crockery and choice of herbal teas in addition to the usual tea and coffee - and REAL coffee plus home made jam to accompany breakfast croissants. The bedroom is luxurious with good pillows and bed linen, and for each of us a little pack of festively decorated chocolates. Outside all is very pretty and rural. Our dog could enjoy a morning walk in the woods and we were greeted by curious sheep and friendly alpacas. If we find ourselves seeking accommodation in that part of Norfolk in the future we would certainly choose The Woodlands.

    Tony2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • One of our favourite AirBandBs for sure. A Fabulous home with an ideal attached accomodation, set in acres of land and a walk in a private wood from the doorstep. We loved the Alpacas, very cute. Lots of thoughtful touches Inc hen laid eggs. Fabulous quality throughout and lovely hosts. Perfect location for exploring and yet also remote enough to feel like a proper get away from it all. Thoroughly recommended.

    Emma2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Other reviews say the pictures don’t do it justice and I agree. A lovely little home away from home, beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, with lovely little touches. Secluded, peaceful getaway, was just what we wanted, would stay again if we were in the area. And the local tips, including the overview of the area at check-in, we’re really appreciated 😊

  • The woodlands is an awesome apartment within Michael and Dorothy's plot. We were greeted by Michael. he showed us around and gave us a run through some suggestions for dinner. The apartment itself is well kitted out. We were given some croissants and granola for breakfasts, but also bought a jar of home grown raspberry jam from Dorothy. We nearly finished the jar before we left! There's a hob but no oven in the kitchen but the microwave has a convection cooker so we were able to cook a couple pizzas in there. The decor is really homey. After long days out exploring the coastline we loved coming back, and snoozing on the sofa in front of the TV. We had no phone signal, and it's a rural internet connection for the wifi so it's a perfect getaway if you're looking to switch off. The woods on the property are perfect for letting your dog have a run around. Archie our spinone had a blast. All in all a great stay.

Handmade in 2014, our wooden Shepherd’s Hut is parked on a beautiful meadow on North Farm, near Aylsham in the heart of Norfolk. With built in double bed, woodstove and fire-pit it is camping at its most luxurious.
Mounted on cast-iron wheels from the local foundry, the hut is made from wood and insulated with lambs wool. Inside, it has a 4’6”double bed, chairs and small table and a wood-burning stove. The stove can be used to boil a kettle or warm a basic meal and on colder nights, makes it extremely cosy. The stove can be used to boil a kettle or warm a basic meal and on colder nights, the hut is extremely cosy. We recommend that you treat your stay in the Shepherds Hut as if you are enjoying extremely luxurious camping or ‘glamping’! During the colder months, the woodstove keeps the hut extremely cosy but it is still a short walk to the toilet block or back from your car after an evening in a local hostelry! The hut can be rented alongside Barn Owl and Kingfisher Cottages which are eco-friendly, barn conversions on the same farm. Alternatively, the hut can be complemented by one or two additional tents (bring your own tents) at a cost of £10 per night per person .
The hut is located on the beautiful North Farm which is also home to a number of resident artists, including a stone-carver and potter. North Farm is situated in the beautiful Norfolk countryside. Guests can spot all sorts of wildlife during the day and stargaze at night, with no streetlights to spoil the view.
  • A wonderful tranquil place to stay. Everything we needed, clean and comfortable. We hope to go back next year.

  • Not the first time I have stayed here and as always a beautiful, relaxing place with outstanding hosts. A secluded meadow where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of an evening watching the barn owls and bats and in our case thunderstorms. We are already planning when we can return.

  • This place is so beautiful! The touches and location is just perfect. We already thought about coming again in the winter! Certainly the best place I’ve visited on air bnb so far!

A newly furnished self-contained private Annexe. Fully equipped for self-catering use. Private parking available next to the property. A perfect retreat, giving you access to the Norfolk Broads that are around 20 mins away (Wroxham) and only 5 minutes from the North Norfolk Coast (Mundesley). Or if you are looking to sample the delights of the historic city of Norwich, it is only a 30 minute drive. A fantastic place to explore and unwind in this quiet rural village.
  • The Annex is a lovely place to stay. We especially enjoying star-gazing under the skylight, the sofa so comfy that you don't want to get up, and the selection of DVDs. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed, and everything was very clean. It's very quiet at night which made for excellent sleep!

  • Perfect escape to the country. Lovely warm cosy space, the photos don’t do it justice. Lots of nice natural light in the day and cosy lamps by night. Good location near to the beaches, with lots of good food options nearby, and a good kitchen for cooking. Warm welcome from Mal too. Highly recommended

  • The Annexe was absolutely lovely and gave us a really enjoyable weekend away. Mal was really helpful with the tips she gave us and we really enjoyed those recommendations. However the cottage is so comfortable we were also very happy to spend lots of our time in there too! Would definitely recommend it if you are looking for somewhere to have a relaxing break in Norfolk.

The house is a Georgian style farmhouse, parts of which date back to the 14th century. The rooms are spacious with lots of natural light coming through the traditional large windows, and beautiful views of the garden and surrounding countryside beyond.
A light comfortable twin bedroom in a lovely Georgian farmhouse, surrounded by garden. Ideal for couples, families, solo adventures and business travellers. The bedroom has a wardrobe and chest of drawers, plus tea and coffee making facilities. Meals are served in the dining room looking out onto the garden. The large breakfast includes water, orange juice, milk, yoghurt, fresh melon, cereals, granolas, ham, cheese, toast, croissants, home made jams and chutneys plus a pot of tea and cafetière of coffee. Free Wifi and a generous off road parking. The house is surrounded by a 2 acre garden, and beyond are arable fields and meadows with livestock. The nearest sandy beach is only 5 minutes drive away, as is a lovely 113 hectare wood, the broads are a 15 minute drive, whilst the Weavers Way footpath is a 5 minute walk from here. North Walsham and Worstead stations are both only 3 miles from the house, and the Bittern line from these can take you to Norwich, Sheringham or Cromer.
This is a rural hamlet with lovely countryside and the nearby market town of North Walsham.
  • A fantastic place to stay and Maire is a great host.

    Bob2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Maire's house is situated about 10-15 minutes from the town of North Walsham. When you arrive at Maire's house you will think like we did, that you have come to the wrong address. Her house is like an large old manor house in its own grounds, parts of it dating back 100's of years and other parts coming forward to modern day. The rooms have high ceilings and sash windows with freshly painted walls and a mixture of wooden floor boards and tile floors. The bedroom you will use is a large bedroom with an adjacent room of equal size which is the bathroom, which has a separate bath and shower cubicle. You have sole use of a downstairs living room to relax or watch television . For breakfast you have a chose of a continental breakfast with home made bread, jams and pickles, which I recommend or at an additional cost - a full English breakfast. Your host Maire is very amiable person and will assist you in any way to make your stay a pleasant one I highly recommend this place

Located in a tranquil, rural location conveniently situated halfway between the city of Norwich and the North Norfolk coast (23 minutes either direction) Hautbois Hall provides a great central point to explore the county. Wroxham, known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads, is just 12 minutes away by car.
Hautbois Hall is a particularly attractive Grade II* listed Elizabethan house of 1555, believed to have been built by William Baspole, and described in Pevsner's Guide. • Perfect in every way. This high quality lodge, cosy, warm and very comfortable is ideal for a short break in winter or year round. 200 meters from a superb pub restaurant - The Crown at Banningham; make sure you book in advance. Walnut Tree Lodge offers much better value than many properties on the coast, yet is only 15 minutes away. Liz was a very friendly and knowledgeable host. Full marks and thanks Liz, we will return in 2020.

  • A wonderful place to stay in a quiet little village but not far to travel to Cromer or The Broads. You will need a car as the public transport isn’t good. The lodge has everything you need but does not have a freezer if like me you wanted some ice but Liz very kindly gave me some ice every evening for my G & Ts. As mentioned in previous comments the WiFi isn’t good but the pub offers it free And it’s not a bad place to check your emails etc with a drink from the bar. The Lodge is totally private and it was wonderful to sit in the little garden and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. The local pub (Banningham Crown) is amazing. A really busy pub serving great food and just a short walk along the road. Liz provides everything you need for a breakfast including lovely croissants, cereals, juice milk etc. One last tip. If you are travelling around bring an old fashioned map as the internet doesn’t always work if trying to use google maps. Thank you Liz for a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

  • Such a beautiful location on a very quiet lane yet just 20 min walk into Aylsham. We chose this cottage for the log burner and close proximity to a great pub - arriving home late after an evening and stoking up the fire was glorious on a cold and drizzling evening. A generous amount of log fuel was available. Our Labrador enjoyed the walks and river for a swim. There was a problem with the electrics when we arrived but we were sorted within the hour with a new electric radiator, very impressive turnaround late on a Friday. Thank you! It was perfect for our needs.

  • An absolutely wonderful place to stay to get way from it all. Very easy to access and everything has been thought off for an uninterrupted and very restful holiday in a beautiful spot.

  • Brilliant stay in Erpingham, the loft was lovely, quiet and very well equipped. Brilliant location with great walks and cycle routes right outside the door.

  • Great communication from the owners regarding arrival. A hamper of essentials, wine, juices, bread and eggs from their own hens waiting for you to arrive, so no need to worry about having to find a supermarket straight away. The loft was spotlessly clean. A good selection of cutlery crockery and glassware are provided. Crisp bed linen for the spacious bed and a freshly laundered selection of soft towels are provided too. Nice quiet location with a great view across the fields. The balcony area gets the evening sun....great to sit and read, listening to the wildlife or just to relax. Can't wait to go back
