This listing is for the double room. If this room is booked up please see our other listing for the front room which has a king bed in. Please see - '2 comfortable rooms in riverside bungalow' for this option.
Our dormer bungalow is on a quiet side street on the edge of the small, pretty market town of Lampeter. This bedroom has a comfortable double bed, storage space and free wi fi throughout. Good quality bedding, towels and toiletries are also provided. We try and provide as much seasonal produce from the garden in our help yourself style breakfast. We encourage guests to make themselves at home. You can have access to the kitchen to make drinks as and when you want and relax in the lounge / dining area to enjoy the wonderful view of the garden and river. You are also welcome to enjoy our beautiful garden and the outdoor space we have created here including a clay oven. The garden is full of different areas to explore. We have created habitats to encourage wildlife into the garden with wild flower and vegetable growing areas, including a polytunnel, a small fruit orchard, all of which slopes gently down to the banks of the river Teifi where there is excellent fishing with a day fishing pass. We are usually around when guests arrive although you might need to come down to the garden to find us Being on the edge of town we are conveniently placed near to all the local amenities. We are 2 minutes walk to the bus stop /shops and University. There are several options for dining out / takeaway within 5 minutes walk including pub meals, award winning fish and chips, Indian and Chinese restaurants. We are ideally situated as a base for a few days exploring the Welsh countryside. It is a short 20 minute drive to the middle of Cardigan bay, famous for its beautiful coastline. Enjoy exploring some of the coastal paths or take a dolphin watching trip. Take a short drive in the other direction and you come to the edge of the beautiful Cambrian mountains which are also very scenic and famous for its Red Kites. We are passionate about producing and eating good quality organic food. This reflects in the breakfasts that we offer our guests. We love to gather and prepare fresh fruit compotes, homemade jams, alongside your toast/cereal/seasonal fresh fruit/yogurt/tea/coffee/fruit juice. If you would like a more traditional cooked breakfast then this can also be prepared for you at an additional cost of £5 per person.
  • May and Simon were lovely hosts. They were friendly and thoughtful in helping us to find the house, saving a parking space and providing a very tasty breakfast with homemade bread, jams and fruit compote. A very enjoyable stay!

  • Amazing hospitality, definitely will recommend this to everyone

    Najam2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Dominique's Barn conversion for my Mum's 70th and New Year celebrations and it provided the perfect space to be together with all the family 18 of us (+dog!) When the new kitchen is knocked through I think it will be perfect as workspace gets a little tight with so many people and so much food, but we managed just fine. The location of the Barn is what makes it...we had a treasure hunt on the grounds, the kids (and some adults) ran around with laser guns, we watched the mass of birdlife from the conservatory and all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. It's such a beautiful and private spot, and close to wonderful coastline too. A trip to the New Celtic chippy on the harbour in Aberaeron is a must if you stay! Thank you Dominique and Digby, meeting you both added to our stay, such friendly and helpful hosts! Goodluck with the knock through of The Barn, we would definitely love to come back when it's all done!

Beautiful cottage, lovely rural setting, brilliant hosts, an Asda’s delivery of Christmas food (thankfully a huge double oven and lots of hobs for cooking!) and lots of fun. Thank you again for having us!

Dominique and diggers were the perfect hosts and went above and beyond by sending an item one of us had left at the cottage! Best hosts ever. We can't wait to come back!

  • Lovely little retreat

    Danielle2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most amazing time staying at the East Wing, and were taken aback by how clean and cosy the cabin was! We had everything we could have asked for, not to mention the warm welcome from Terry, Sue and Betsy the puppy. Fresh bread in the morning, local tips and the beautiful setting are among the things that made our stay so special. This is an experience we won't forget!

    Balint2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Terry and Sue are outstanding hosts. Their hospitality is 10 out of 10. Where else would you get homemade cake and homemade freshly baked bread. We felt completely spoilt, we wish we could have stayed longer.

    Adrian2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is perfect for a relaxing, cosy break. We had a 3month baby with us and it was perfect. There was everything we needed in the cabin - microwave to clean the bottles, kettle to boil water for the milk, a fridge to keep things cool. And Terry moved a cabinet so there was plenty of space for a cot. The cabin is very clean, and modern. The homeade bara brith and fresh bread was a lovely touch. Would 100% stay here again.

    Rachel2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a brilliant stay at Tyr Onnen this weekend. Terry and Sue were excellent hosts - they couldn't have been more accommodating, friendly and lovely. Terry very generously drove us to the wedding we were attending nearby and Sue had great suggestions for where to go for dinner. They brought us freshly baked croissants for breakfast each morning, which we enjoyed in the tranquil setting of the guest porch. The cabin itself is very well maintained, perfectly clean, and excellently kitted out with everything you need, including a great shower. We can't wait to stay again when the opportunity arises!

COVID-19: Following the latest government advice, we are no longer taking bookings for the period of Friday 20 March to Thursday 30 April 2020. For any holiday after this date we are continuing to monitor the government advice. The Cerbyd is located in scenic peaceful countryside, only a 25-min drive away from the beautiful West Wales coast. With a lovely 4-poster bed and a log burning fire, it is perfect for a weekend getaway. It has high-speed WiFi >20 Mbps.
We are in a secluded quiet area, and yet only 10 minutes drive from Lampeter and all amenities. The Cerbyd is ideal for couples or a small family. It has one large bedroom and sleeps up to three: one king and a single sofa bed (plus cot, if required). You can chill and mingle with our free range ducks and chickens, or walk the hills and valleys. Great for birdwatchers and nature lovers. The nearest beach is a 25 minutes drive away, where you will also find the Ceredigion Coastal Path - a 60 mile long trail.
We are on the hillside above Cellan, a small village. We love the quiet rural setting with Buzzards and Red Kites circling above. We are only a short drive from the small university town of Lampeter.
  • Wonderful return to Ty Cerbyd. The accommodation is very comfortable and cosy. We enjoyed the eggs from the chickens. Thank you for having us again!

    Rachel2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This coach-house conversion made the cosiest, quaint cottage, perfect for our holiday away from work and city life and seeing old friends. Daniela and John stayed in touch throughout the 4 days. They provided us with complimentary eggs from there own friendly chickens! Hot drink supplies and wood for the log burner to stay hot! The four poster bed was a dream and the living room was simply marvellous. The area was perfect for star gazing and getting lost within the Welsh countryside...Not literally! This couples retreat is one not to be missed, we will be back!

    Jamie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really lovely if you just want to get away from it all. The views are stunning and it is very peaceful. The whole place is thoughtfully converted, and the bed is incredibly comfortable. Good value for money too!

    Christine2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't be better. Beautiful spot. Wonderful cosy cottage. Can't recommend enough.

    Carly2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to spend some time in the quiet. The place was clean and well equipped.

    Liam2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first stop on this Wales trip and the house is located in a beautiful open area with great views. The bedroom had more than enough space for the both of us and the bed was really pretty. We really enjoyed having the log burner in the living room which warmed up the whole place nicely, especially after a long and slightly damp walk. It was amazing having so many animals outside and we loved going on a hunt for James in the woods. It was a bit tricky as he decided to chill out on a rather hilly part of the woods, but we managed to find him. We bought some bread to have with the fresh eggs left for us and fed the rest of the bread to James, who ended up following us around when we went to continue on our walk. We didn't get to meet the hosts, but communication was great and we had everything we needed for our stay. We definitely recommend this place, even more so if you are animal-lovers like ourselves.

    Conner2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • John and Danielas cottage is the perfect place for a cosy few days away. The comfy bed, cosy living room and wood burning stove were ideal for the cold evenings! We were quite unprepared for the holiday so fixings for tea and coffee, and lots of maps, walking guides and recommendations were really helpful in planning our few days! And Poppy the dog loved the fire place and James the Pig too!

    Alex2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Idyllic cottage, exactly as shown by the photos, the bed is very comfy and the cottage is spacious and light. Really cosy, quiet and secluded. Lovely special touches by Daniela who was very friendly. Loved meeting the dogs and going to feed James the pig in the gorgeous woodland. Had such a nice short stay, would highly recommend.

May and Simon were great to chat to, and I was interested to discover all the produce they grow on site. It was a real pleasure to stay and their hospitality serves as an impeccable example of what Airbnb can facilitate. Recommended. Thank you!

Step back in time when you stay in this rare and perfectly secluded 17-18th century manor house where poet Dylan Thomas lived during the war; enjoy tranquil views of organic pasture from your luxuriously regal four-poster bed, with en suite bathroom, tea/ coffee making facilities, free Wifi and delicious buffet breakfast . 15 minutes from the coast and Aberaeron, half an hour south of Aberystwyth, 10 minutes from Lampeter, and 2 miles from local shops and amenities, Gelly is perfectly situated for exploring all of West Wales' beautiful beaches or the famous Dylan Thomas Trail.
Gelly is a house in two parts; the original farmhouse, now inhabited by Rolanda and her family, was built in 1690. The Guest room is situated in the newer Georgian end of the house, where Dylan Thomas famously rented a room with his wife Caitlin during the second world war. With a fabulously comfortable eighteenth-century king-size four-poster bed complete with hand-painted silk hangings, you will be guaranteed a comfortable (and perhaps romantic) night. Relax in the sizeable en suite bath with views over the garden and no one to see in, except perhaps a few cows in the field beyond, or a squirrel. The depth of quiet here is amazing, and optional shutters as well as curtains keep the morning light at bay for that well-earned lie-in. Fall asleep to the hooting of owls and wake to the melancholy whistling cry of the Red kite!
Surrounded by farmland, the house is well removed (and completely hidden) from the road - a welcome escape from the noise and bustle of city life; come here to unwind, renew your spirits or reconnect with yourself (and each other). Guests have access to the idyllic front garden where you can sit and drink tea, go for a walk or simply breathe in the sweet Welsh air. Three white geese and some friendly hens may wander past but will not disturb you. Nature is abundant here - a recent unexpected visitor was a hedgehog in the hallway, but outside is a birdwatcher's paradise. Apart from the daily Red Kite flyovers, we have resident jays, woodpeckers, Barn and Tawny owls, herons and many besides. Moles, toads, shrews, badgers, peacock butterflies are all familiar.
  • Rolanda's home is very special indeed. Utterly charming, a step back in time and in a beautiful secluded spot. A great place to relax and unwind! Hope I get chance to go back again. I'd highly recommend.

  • A thin place: Somewhere that Heaven and Earth touch closely. One of the Dylan Thomas biographies in the lounge room describes Gelli as such a place and I cannot think of a better explanation for you. A treasure of a property and a privilege to have stayed there.

  • Step in time in and escape to a charming home full of history with lovely private grounds. No television only an array of interesting artistic and literary books - and peace and quiet. The room was lovely and spacious and the four poster bed a treat with nice electric blanket for cold wintry nights. The breakfast was simple but delicious - a choice of cereals and lovely fresh sourdough bread with home made marmalade.

Cae Castell is a family home in a peaceful country setting and also home to Oathill SportHorses. It is ideal for exploring Ceredigion with Cardigan Bay and the Ceredigion Coastal path close by. Only 9.6 miles from the delightful harbour town of Aberaeron. New Quay is just 14.7 miles and to the east of New Quay is Cei Bach beach, 1/2 mile of unspoilt sand and free parking in Llania woods, just a short walk to the beach. Regular dolphin spotting trips run from New Quay several times a day.
Cae Castell is also the home of Oathill Sporthorses so we can accommodate your horse too! We are surrounded by miles of off road riding or you can box to the beach. Large airy Loddon stables and plenty of parking space.

  • Really stylish apartment in the middle of the beautiful countryside. Incredible big bath tub. Sparkling clean throughout. Comfy, warm and peaceful. Finished to a very high standard.

  • Spacious and very comfortable place. Clearly thought has gone and into the decor and furnishings. Relaxing and quiet location but only a few miles from Lampeter. Would highly recommend and expect to stay again in the future. Was a pleasure staying.

  • This was our third stay at Helen's place and it is always a pleasure. A lovely, comfortable and well equipped property, set in a beautiful location. We couldn't ask for more! Thanks Helen!

    Tom2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely amazing place to stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very well kept. The views outside were just as pretty. We hope to be back again!

    Huy2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Well stocked, beautifully decorated, situated out in the greenery of Wales. I would love to live in a flat such as this. The large bath has plentiful hot water. The kitchen is equipped for cooking. There’s a washer and dryer in the building that will do both for just 2 pounds. You will need a car. It’s more than a mile into Lampeter town, and the curvy roads aren’t safe for walking as they have no sidewalks or shoulders. There are 2 supermarkets in town and an organic farm store on the way into town. Lampeter is a quiet town. The only problem with Plas Glandenys is the weak wifi. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant place to stay for a few days with easy driving access to New Quay, Cardigan, Aberystwyth and we even made it down to Tenby.

COVID-19: Following the latest government advice, we are no longer taking bookings for the period of Friday 20 March to Thursday 30 April 2020. For any holiday after this date we are continuing to monitor the government advice. Y Stabl Cottage is located in scenic countryside, only a 25-min drive away from the beautiful West Wales coast and the Ceredigion Coastal Path, a 60 mile long trail. It provides a home from home and is perfect for nature lovers. The cottage has high-speed WiFi >20 Mbps.
This is a very relaxing place to stay and guests have described it as 'a little piece of heaven'. You can meet our farm animals, watch the red kites and buzzards soaring high above, or just sit and gaze into the log burning stove.
We are set on rolling farmland hills above the Teifi river valley. It is very peaceful here. We are only a 10-minute drive from the small university town of Lampeter with all amenities.
  • A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Daniela and John are warm and welcoming hosts. The property is definitely a home away from home. Tranquility from the rat-race. Lovely little touches and everything you could possibly need during your stay. The eggs from the resident chickens are yummy! James the pig and the dogs were a favourite of my children. We are a family of 5 and had plenty of space :)

    Helen2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This warm and cosy cottage is a little haven tucked away on a lovely Welsh hillside. The cottage is spacious, well equipped and well furnished with some lovely tasteful touches. The bed and sofas are very comfortable and the log burner is a bonus for cosy evenings in by the fire. The wifi is great. Plenty of (quite steep) walks from the cottage, including the woods with James, the pig. Daniela and John are wonderful hosts and they live with their two very friendly dogs in the farmhouse next door. There are ducks and hens (thank you for the lovely eggs) and even some alpacas down the road at a neighbouring farm. It is beautifully quiet, the perfect rural, dog friendly retreat to escape from it all. This couple genuinely care about making guests feel welcome and it very much feels like a home from home.

Located in the scenic Aeron valley, Ty Gardd is the annexe to our 19th century Welsh stone longhouse. The village of Felinfach is halfway between the beautiful and colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron and the university town of Lampeter, and just 40 minutes from Aberystwyth. Visitors can enjoy our garden and, in season, share in the fruit and veg from our polytunnel and garden. There is plenty to do and see in the area, from the coast of Cardigan Bay to the Cambrian mountains.
The annexe is newly built and has all modern amenities. The bed/sitting room has a tv with inbuilt dvd player (dvds are available to borrow) and an area with tub chairs and table for relaxing, watching tv or eating. The kitchen/utility is equipped with washing machine and dryer, microwave, electric hob, kettle and toaster and necessities such as tea bags, coffee, sugar, herbs and spices. A starter pack of milk, bread, butter, eggs etc. can be provided on request. There is no dedicated Wifi, but we have very good 4G reception for emails. We are not difficult to find as we are conveniently located on the B4342 between the villages of Felinfach and Talsarn. At the moment we are unable to accept pets. The property is not suitable for children or infants. Access is via two wide steps.
Aberaeron is a "cafe town" with a host of places to take coffee and cake, fish and chips, or enjoy a pint of Welsh beer. There are also plenty of restaurants to eat out in the area. Cardigan Bay hosts many festivals and other events throughout the year, from Minis on the Prom in May, Lampeter Food Festivals in July, the Festival of Welsh Cobs and Ponies in August, as well as regular street food markets on the harbour. Aberystwyth also has a very good Arts Centre and cinema, as well as many more restaurants and cafes. Also nearby is the National Trust property of Llanerchaeron. Cardigan Bay is famous for bottlenose dolphin spotting with tours available from nearby New Quay and fabulous sandy beaches up and down the coast, such as Mwnt, Penbryn, Llangrannog and Ynys Las. The area is also connected with Dylan Thomas. The Tourist Information Centre in Aberaeron has plenty of leaflets about what to see and do. There are several disused railway lines which have become cycling routes, as well as some quiet road, circular routes nearby if you don't fancy the big hills. We are also well placed for the Ceredigion section of the Wales Coast Path if you are walkers.
  • Cosy private space with modern kitchen and bathroom and outdoor seating in good weather. Lovely garden. Friendly, helpful hosts.

  • Alex’s place is absolutely gorgeous. It is a stylish space, tastefully decorated , well equipped and pristine. An ideal place for two. The garden is so beautiful. A tranquil place to relax. A good location to reach the coast and other areas inland. Would definitely book again.

  • We have just had an amazing bank holiday weekend at Ty Gardd, the cottage is beautiful, was clean and welcoming, with some lovely views over the surrounding area. It was lovely to have some essentials in the fridge for us on arrival, milk, bottled water. The high ceilings in all rooms gave the cottage a lovely bright and spacious feel, there was plenty of info on the local area, the bed was comfy and bathroom had a large shower with shower gel provided, which was a nice touch. We were greeted by Alex when we arrived, who showed us around and also told us about the area and local amenities, also advising us on local spots to visit for eating and relaxing. We were also shown the garden where there is a lovely bench to sit and watch the sunset with a G&T (which we used every afternoon/evening) this garden is truly beautiful with vivid coloured flowers everywhere and with an added bonus of having fruit trees and vegetables been grown, which Alex kindly offered us to use. We used the wrought iron patio furniture to sit out and had breakfast and lunch, definitely would recommend. There are some local pubs in the village, however we visited The Cellar and Harbour Master in Aberaeron and can not recommend these 2 establishments enough, food service and setting were all great. John and Alex were great hosts, always had a friendly chat whilst we sat and admired the garden, and gave us some ideas on good places to visit. We had a super weekend and we will definitely be coming back!!!!

    Vicky2019-08-26T00:00:00Z

  • This is an outstanding place to stay. Remote and beautifully situated, this little annexe had everything and more that we could ask for. Alex is a wonderful host and made us feel really welcome, she even provided a pint of milk and yogurt for when we arrived. The property is fully equiped with all that you could need, modern bathroom, fully fitted kitchen with toaster, kettle, fridge, pots and pans, cutlery, crockery, microwave, washing machine and dryer. The bedroom/sitting area is airy and very spacious with a comfy bed and beautiful views and your own parking space. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

    Krishna2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing! Really appreciated Alex, she went out of her way to cover up the skylight window for us as we don’t sleep well in light! - she also came and got us as we was so lost as we arrived late! The place was super cute and clean! We loved this break!

Longbarn Cottage One is a barn conversion with exposed beams on our smallholding. In a quiet location in the Carmarthenshire countryside. It is one of two cottages converted from our former stables. The other cottage, Longbarn Dairy End, is also available on Airbnb, it sleeps four people in one double and one twin bedroom. Please note we charge one price all year, with no extra charges for cleaning or heating.
A great place for a relaxing break away from it all. We are about 40 minutes from the Breacon Beacons National Park. The nearest seaside places are the colourful harbour town Aberaeron, Newquay famed for its dolphins and Aberystwyth. The market town of Carmarthen is about one hour away. Lampeter, Llandelio and Llandovery are the nearest towns. Pumsaint village has a pub and a goldmine both open to visiters! Lots of nice walks and biking with in easy distance. Birdwatch from the balcony while enjoying the peace and quiet. Usual farmyard noises, sheep, tractors etc to be expected!
The cottage is surrounded by open countryside. The fields are usually home to sheep, and lambs in season. They wander onto and sometimes sleep on the track so you will need to be aware of them when using the track. If you like bird watching there are plenty to see from red kites to robins! Bring your binos. We also have lots of wildflowers, spring is the best hundreds of primroses and bluebells. Lots of daffodils too! Not wild flowers I know but from mid March onwards Wales is daff heaven! Star watching is recommended. On a clear night, turn off the lights and sit on the balcony to enjoy the night sky. Put the Night Sky ap on your phone or tablet to help you identify the stars and planets. We live across the farmyard from the cottage, our nearest neighbours are half a mile away down the track. Lots of guests have asked us where they can eat around here the nearest places are:- Dolaucothi Arms, Pumsaint SA19 8UW Brunant Arms, Caio SA19 8RD Tafarn Jem, SA48 8HF on the A482 towards Lampeter.

  • Gillian's place is a clean, warm and comfortable converted barn. It is across the yard from their home on their farm, up a rough farm track. There is a huge bathroom, comfy bed and everything you need to cook a meal from scratch. A beautiful quiet place, but you will need to use a car to get to the shops.

    Hannie2019-12-08T00:00:00Z

  • Meet the extra mile hosts! I think I run out of "feedback stars". They are the most welcome and generous hosts I have never met. Nothing is too much for them, they will look into all your needs to make sure you have a extraordinary and enjoyable stay at their place. This also included travelling with my house cat and making sure my cat was also comfortable and happy. Their place is allocated in a very beautiful natural setting yet, not too far from other towns to do any shopping or enjoy a coffe. It is a good place for exploring the West of Wales or choosing to stay and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of their location. Their property is very special shared with other beautiful and friendly 3 cats and few gentle and loving chickens. The house is lovely, modern and very tasfully decorated. It is also kept very tidy and clean with an eco friendly mind set. As well as your room, you have the sun room with the lovely views to their garden and amusing chickens if you feel you would like to relax having a cuppa by yourself. The Blue Room with beautiful views indeed, offered more that what I expected. Very spacious and very beautifully decorated. It has a TV and the bed is super comfortable

Lovely little detached bolthole in the countryside with private indoor hot tub, but close to the beautiful Cardigan Bay Coastal Path, sandy beaches and the villages of Aberaeron and New Quay where the bottlenose dolphins can be seen. The University Town of Lampeter is approximately 4 miles away with shops and restaurants. Ideal place to chill out relax and unwind from everyday life. This cottage is one of Welshholidays 4U Cottages with private indoor hot tubs in West Wales. NO DOGS ALLOWED
Private detached cottage with private indoor hot tub Quirky little 1 bedroom cottage with garden and private unlimited use indoor hot tub for you to enjoy during your stay. Please note before booking: This is an old cottage set in the countryside, but only a short drive to the beautiful Cardigan Bay Coast where the famous bottle nose dolphins can often be seen. The cottage does has bumpy walls, a low ceiling in the lounge and is far from perfect and has old features still present, you might also come across the odd spider, cobweb and countryside smells as it is in the countryside, but that doesn't mean it is not clean or unhygienic, its part of the character of the cottage and the area it is in. We never claim it to be a 5* property, but we can say it is a lovely cosy cottage. If you are looking for a perfect newly modernised property with nothing out of place and garden that has no character then this one might not be for you. You have full private use of the cottage and hot tub. There are no shops or pubs within walking distance of this cottage and the phone signal is not the best. ** PLEASE NOTE ** This is a self catering cottage NOT a hotel. You are required to bring your own toiletries and your own towels, if this is a problem please advise before arrival.
Approx 4 miles to the historic university town of Lampeter and approx 15mins to the coast of Cardigan Bay where the Bottle-nose dolphins can be seen

  • Wonderful place, nice way to get away from busy life and switch off. Wonderfully quiet.

    Mary2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely quiet secluded place. The cottages themselve were imacutly clean although a little chilly at 1st but it is October and no different to having to warm the house up when you get home. The hot tub is a lovely addition and just what you need to unwind after a day of walking. The whole experience was wonderful and Melissa was friendly and informative throughout. And the whole trip was made even better when I popped the question (And she said yes). Thank you again for such a wonderful stay x

  • Y Beudy was exceptionally well-equipped, spotless and cosy. Daniella and John deserve their super-host recognition! Communication was almost immediate, but they were unobtrusive yet friendly during our stay. There is also woodland attached to the farm which gives the opportunity for lovely countryside walks, with the added bonus of the company of James, the I pet kuna kuna pig. We wouldn’t hesitate to return. Many thanks.

  • Highly recommended ! Lovely place out in the country. John & Daniela are a friendly couple with excellent communication from start to finish. Their home has warmth with the way it has been designed and all the lovely touches. We loved meeting James what a character he seemed to love the lettuce & apples we gave him. Thank you for letting us stay at your place Richard & Tina

The Retreat is exactly that, a lovingly up-cycled, eco static caravan with the most stunning view, perched on the edge of the Teifi valley and surrounded by farmland. We welcome you to come and take a break away from the busy day to day of life and kick back with your favourite drink on the deck and soak up the view in the day and the stars at night.
We welcome you to our little Welsh bubble tucked away at the bottom of a track. Originally a working farm, it was neglected for some years and it is now our accommodation project which we are lovingly restoring with every available minute and penny! We are surrounded by working farms with no close neighbours so you can really get away from it all here in this tranquil spot. Recently rescued and up-cycled the Retreat is a quirky static caravan. It is our first eco project with solar power, a composting loo and a wood burner for heat and has a 60's/ 70's feel, large deck and stunning view. Nestled away in our 10 acres of land but still easily accessible (about 10m from our track) it has all you need for a comfortable stay in a beautiful setting. Ideal for couples or a small family, the main bedroom has a comfy double bed, the 2nd bedroom has two small single beds (a travel cot and highchair are available on request). There is a bathroom with bath/shower and compost toilet, a light and airy lounge with woodburning stove and DVD player. Lastly a well stocked kitchen with a gas oven and hob and a cool box for refrigeration. We also provide these essentials tea, coffee, 1pt milk, crumpets and our own eggs (when available). Perfect for nature lovers and people who enjoy staying in quirky places you are free to explore our wilderness and discover secret resting places in which to relax and unwind. Read a good book next to the bubbling stream, swing in a hammock or kick back on the deck whilst taking in the view across the valley and spot our wide range of resident wildlife from hedgehogs to buzzards and tawny owls.
Llanwenog is a small hamlet with a 13th Century church which is the most complete medieval church in Ceredigion. The Retreat is an excellent base to explore the many local attractions as well as providing a secluded oasis in which to hibernate. We are surrounded by farmland and beautiful views across the Teifi Valley, yet only 30 mins drive away from a selection of stunning beaches which cater for all needs from dolphin and seal spotting to rock pools and sand. There are many activities on offer too for all ages from walking, fishing and cycling to castles, farm experiences and theme parks!
  • Great little caravan! If you're after a little peace and quiet in rural wales then this is the perfect base! A tad chilly in the bedrooms at night as we did decide to brave it in march, but Helen and Steve provided a hot water bottle which was great! But the log burner in the living room soon warmed us up and was fantastic :)

    Charlotte2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cabin set in a superb rural area, we enjoyed the peace and quiet and the cosy fire. Unfortunately the weather was not so great and we couldn't spend so much time outside and fully enjoy the space. Would definitely return during the summer.

    Oana2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place in a beautiful area. We had an amazing stay.

    Hayley2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The retreat is a magical place. The view is amazing and one of the best sun rises I have seen. Helen was very friendly and welcoming and we had everything we needed. The bedroom does get quite cold in winter but the thick duvet and hot water bottles kept us warm enough at night, and with the fire lit in the sitting room it was very cosy.

    Gemma2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay in the countryside, Great place with great grounds to explore. Excellent as a base to explore the surrounding area. Helen was very friendly and welcoming. The 4 of us had a great weekend away!

    Thomas2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful and cozy place! Stunning views from the porch with a nice patch of grass for our 14 month old to roam around. About 30 minutes from beaches and we really enjoyed walking on the Ceredigion Coast Path.

    Matt2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • A real eco retreat from it all with stunning scenery, lovely hosts.

    Pauline2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The views from the property are even nicer than I expected and it felt like we were away from it all without being too secluded. The hosts were really friendly and responded quickly when we requested more ice for the cool box etc. The double bed was comfortable and we all slept well. The gas oven was easy to use, as was the wood burner, and there were enough utensils, pots, pans to cook a variety of meals. We had takeaway from Romino’s (cash only) one evening however which was really tasty and good value (it’s just a few mins drive away near the Nisa and Londis). It was nice to have a private gated area around the property which enabled our dog and children to have a wander/play safely. We had a walk across the field to the hammocks and stream one evening and again the views are great. We also visited a dog friendly beach at Llangrannog SA44 6SN which was small but beautiful. We all felt well rested and relaxed after our visit and we would return.

The camping barn (hay loft) offers the enjoyment of a camping experience without the fuss of a tent, plus its watertight with a roof and stone walls and the added benefit of being secure, for your self catering break. There is a wood burning stove (Kiln Dried Wood £5/bag). Wet room is a short walk across courtyard to another part of the outbuilding. Enjoy our surrounding gardens/fields with walks by the river and fire pit for a riverside barbecue for those warm sunny evenings.
The 'Hay Loft' is essentially a camping barn and as the name suggests used to be for hay storage over the stables beneath, providing basic accommodation for either a romantic break for two or for a family of four, sharing a large open plan space. Beds and mattresses provided and we now include bedlinen, pillows and towels in the price. A woodturning stove is installed (HETAS certified and DEFRA approved) for extra warmth on those cold nights, plus a microwave. The accommodation has its own garden space, but guests are welcome to enjoy our fields and river. A shared wet room is available for guests with shower, basin and wc, which is a short walk down the side of the building to the ground floor of the annex. Outside tap in courtyard area, suitable for drinking water.
Well situated to local shops or 10 minutes down the road two supermarkets in the market town of Lampeter. There is a wide selection of tourist spots within 50 minutes driving time including steam railways, gold mines, NT properties, hill walking, mountain bike trails, beaches and much more
  • Absolutely perfect for our needs. A beautiful place in a lovely location, with a real camping feel but with that added extra comfort of a real bed. Very friendly and helpful hosts! Look forward to returning at some point. X

  • Great location and very spacious room. Me and my girlfriend had a 2 night stay on out motorcycle trip around wales. We enjoyed a bbq around the fire pit next to the river that is a lovely setting. The hosts are very nice and accommodating, helped with tips on local places to visit. I would recommend.

  • Beautiful location! The Hay Loft was just what we were looking for, a dry private space to stay, no TV, with lovely outside space to play with our toddler. The little river and bridge were a firm fav for our boy too! Stephen and Sarah left us to it but while pottering around were happy to have a natter. Cant wait to come back.

Large room in lovely stone cottage nestled in the hills of Llanwrda, 1 mile from Dolaucothi Gold Mines. Only 15 minute drive to Lampeter and 40 mins drive to the beautiful beaches of Cardigan. The room has two bunk beds, so can accommodate up to four people at one time with shared bathroom, shared kitchen and shared living room with TV. This is not a dorm, once booked extra people will not be added. Plenty of parking space.
There are stunning views to look at from the house, and an impressive viewing platform to do just that, on a clear day you will see the Black mountains and the Brecon Beacons in the distance. There are fields, woodlands, lakes, you are lightly to see sheep, cows, hares, herons, hunting birds patrolling the sky and you are lightly to hear owls at night.
The house is on a quiet lane, in the middle of the country away from noise and traffic with stunning views, there are walks by lakes, rivers, woodland, or hill top walks (bring some good boots), also there is fishing (Spring Water Lakes, and Cothi river near by). Lampeter is only a 15 minute drive, with places to eat, walks by the river Teifi, shops, super market, leisure centre, gardening centre and a university to visit.
  • We had a good time at Richard's place. It's location is fantastic, if you want to have some relaxing time in solitude and silence with a fantastic view on the valley, it is definitely a place to stay. Richard is a nice person, easy to talk to but giving you your privacy, and our only regret was that we couldn't spend more time in such a beautiful and peaceful environment.

    Gergely2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, a magical garden with beautiful far reaching views. Richard is a quiet, friendly host who made us feel very welcome in his home, and was very generous sharing the use of his kitchen.

    Jess2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • A hidden gem! If you are looking for a holiday where the only traffic you will see is the sheep crossing the fields, then this is the place for you. The view is simply amazing. The garden is bigger than I expected. The room with two clean bunkbeds and two comfy armchairs plus a log brunner is enough for a family. We ate in the tranquilly garden at one of the picnic tables but there is also a dining area. The shower is perfect, no tube. Kitchen is basic (vegetarian) but you can use everything included fridge. Richard is a very patient and flexible host. Despite just a few kilometres from next village this cottage on a hilltop is in the middle of nowhere. We all loved his property.

    Kata2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Richard is an amazingly friendly and helpful host, the location of this house is spectacular and it was so calm and peaceful; just what I was looking for. A paradise for nature lovers!

    Sabine2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Amazingly remote spot where you hear not a noise apart from sheep bleating

    Stefan2019-06-27T00:00:00Z

  • Richard was very welcoming, he gave us good instructions to find his house, the views and tranquility of his home were wonderful and the room was clean and comfortable. Thanks so much for having us stay. We visiting the local Goldmines and some beautiful beaches in our two night stay. The children loved the trampoline and the animals.

    Julia2019-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • I found Richard to be a very pleasant and accommodating host, very helpful and easy to communicate with. The house is lovely and the bedroom and the kitchen are very spacious, the grounds/ gardens are beautiful and a great setting for any kind of retreat, a perfect place to stay for those who want to rest, take stock and re energise themselves, but also a wonderful place for exploring the local countryside. I enjoyed a few good walks during my stay. I hope to return next time I am visiting the area.

A rural setting, where the only noise at night will be owls hooting. Set on a quiet unmarked road, ideal for loads of different tourist attractions, from beaches to mountains. Having a Birthday or Anniversay celebration? There might just be a nice chilled bottle of Proseco awaiting you. You’ll get a really generous welcome pack with enough food to get you started, bread and butter, milk, cheese, fruit as well as coffee and tea with biscuits, all lovely organic food from a few miles down the road
The space for rent is one part of a larger house, it's a traditional Welsh longhouse that has seen many changes over the years. Currently it is in 2 separate units, with the host living completely separately in the other unit. It has just been refurbished with wooden floors throughout downstairs and a wood-burning stove in the sitting-room. The kitchen is brand new, with a full set of cooking and dining equipment. The double bedrooms also reflects the host's artistic personality. They look out over the field where you’ll see Shetland Ponies rolling in the sunshine, red kites and buzzards catching an uplift of air and if you’re really lucky you’ll see the grey Heron coming to visit the pond. There's also a bunk room for children or even adults at a pinch, just let me know who's coming and I'll do my best to set the room up appropriately. If you need a cot bed, swinging crib or travel cot, please let me know in advance otherwise I won’t be able to have the space set up exactly as you wish - some of these require putting together and take a bit of time. If you have small children I can set up a stair gate at the top of the stairs to keep them safe. Just let me know what you need and I’ll do my best to provide it.
We are up a rural lane between the market towns of Lampeter (5 miles) and Tregaron (7 miles). It's a peaceful location with the loudest noise being that of the birds and sheep - we occasionally see a fighter jet practicing their low flying but that's not common.
  • Rachel is a very good host. The house was very well equipped and clean. We had some nice extras too in the kitchen! All you could possibly need was provided.

    Vicky2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely relaxing time at Oriel Meurig. The cottage is warm and comfortable, with good facilities. We were made very welcome by Rachel, who provided a very generous, bespoke welcome pack for us. She was a very attentive host, ensuring that we had everything we needed. Her directions to the cottage were spot on - even though the location is quite remote. There were owls calling outside the bedroom window every night, which was just wonderful. All in all, a very enjoyable and memorable stay.

  • We really enjoyed our stay.

    Neil2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel was a superb host - communication beforehand was excellent and very prompt and informative. Plenty of information on how to get there and information about the cottage and local area. The cottage itself was spotless - perfectly clean and had everything we needed. Beautiful bread, cheese and some fruit was also provided. Thanks for a lovely stay. Would definitely return here in the future :-)

    Peter2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Just spent 2 nights at the Quirky Cottage, getting away from it all. It was spotlessly clean and so well-equipped - Rachel really has thought of everything. As others have said, the welcome pack full of locally sourced produce was a real bonus. Good communication and the directions were spot on (trust me, you'll need them!).

    Rhian2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • A very clean and tidy accommodation with lots of character and a helpful host.

  • A lovely cottage tucked in the middle of the beautiful Welsh countryside but easy to get to so many great places. New Quay definitely worth a visit. Clean and comfortable, with a few essential food items on arrival which is a nice touch. Well equipped kitchen, including use of a washing machine which is always useful! A lovely welcome for us and our dogs which is a great bonus for dog lovers! Highly recommended.

All are ideally placed for exploring the dramatic and truly scenic Ceredigion coastline. The picturesque and colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron is only 6 miles away where there is a selection of interesting independent shops and a great choice of restaurants and eateries including, fish and chips, ice cream parlour and fine dining. The National Trust house and gardens of Llanerchaeron are 4 miles away and from here there’s a delightful level pedestrian country footpath, suitable for bikes, pushchairs or wheelchairs, which leads into Aberaeron. Pretty New Quay with boats bobbing about in the harbour is just a few miles further on, and is definitely worth a visit. You must look out for the resident pods of bottlenose dolphins seen in the bay on an almost daily basis! Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Kirstie Allsopp's Best of Both worlds programme on Channel 4 featured this romantic getaway for two.
There is something about this thatched cottage that brings out the romance. We have hosted many honeymooners, couples that become engaged while here, and anniversary trips. It is simply lovely and cosy in an architecturally unique building near to the Welsh coast. Our situation provides guests with an excellent base to explore the many local attractions and the Coastal Path. By staying at Ffynnon Oer Isaf you will avoid the tourist crowds while being able to dip into the beach villages (or the water) as you please. Ffynnon Oer is ideally located. We are located on a good road so guests can easily hop in their car for a quick explore. Our guests enjoy the fact that Ffynnon Oer is a “hot spot” (compared to other holiday locations). We offer reliable internet with wi-fi so you can sit on the sofa and plan your next adventure. Most guests receive a decent mobile signal. No worries about having to roam around in a field or hilltop trying to get a signal! On top of all its practical advantages, the cottage itself will be one of the highlights of your trip. Ffynnon Oer Isaf is one of the best surviving examples of an eighteenth century clom cottages in Wales. It is Grade II listed in recognition of its “outstanding architectural interest. “ The cottage was built around 1750, and although there have been alterations, the interior arrangement and many details are original to that time. The “crogloffts” are traditional sleeping platforms that were once common in West Wales, as were wickerwork chimneys such as the one seen here. Apart from doing repair work, no one has built in clom in this area for well over a century. The walls are protected with a traditional limewash and the oak crucks and roof structure are all original and untouched since the eighteenth century. Our gardens are lovely any time of the year. Even in winter, there are over 20 different varieties of snowdrops. The front of the house is planted with a rose and herb garden. Please cut the roses and herbs for your enjoyment. We are dog friendly; however, our garden is not fully enclosed. Canine visitors adore the coastal path or exploring the countryside. Bath towels, bed linens, and bathroom welcome pack are included. The house is situated in a small hamlet of houses. We are near to the beaches of ceredigion, Aberaeron (15 minutes), Llangranog (30 minutes) Lampeter, the Llanerchaeron estate, Aberystwyth (35 minutes) and lovely dining at Ty Mawr Mansion which has been awarded five stars from VisitWales. Paragliding and walking is popular in the area. This property is co-located with another property that sleeps six. Both can be booked at the same time for a large party of eight. Please visit our blog for more photos, latest news and things to do in the area. Airbnb will not allow the posting of a URL. You can find our blog by searching for "Tales from Wales" and the words "spring water cottages" or add my name, "Melise."
Everyone loves the drama of the Welsh coast. The peaceful view of sheep across the meadow and our lovely gardens. View our blog for lots of ideas on what to do and where to eat: search for 'springwater cottages" plus my name, "Melise" to find the blog. Please note: the house name is Ffynnon Oer Isaf. There is a gate at the front that says Ffynnon Oer in the grille work.
  • Our stay at Melise’s place was perfect. Beautiful, quirky little cottage which made our weekend away really interesting. Great cleanliness and a bath in the lovely tub was just what we needed after a wet, windy day before curling up in front of the fire! Thanks for being great hosts - the local information.l was brilliant. Can imagine how beautiful it would be in the Summer with the garden in bloom

  • Lovely warm and cosy cottage. Manage to fit everything you need in a fairly small space. Really enjoyed our few nights there, would definitely stay again.

  • Full of rustic welsh charm but with the added bonus of everything you could possibly want and more. It took us back in time and we loved it. It was also spotless

  • Thanks for a great stay in your amazing thatched cottage. Very snug, warm and comfortable. We spent happy evenings reading by the log stove, and easily managed to avoid turning on the tv/dvd! Hope to maybe visit again- the coastal walks are excellent.

  • As beautifully quaint and charming as it seems. It’s like living in a Wendy house for adults. A perfect place to escape real life.

    Rob2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely beautiful, tranquil, cosy and comfortable space. The kitchen is well equipped, the bath is absolute heaven and we loved the woodburner. A total gem. Recommended.

Nestled in a quiet spot in the Welsh hills, our luxurious shepherd's hut enjoys a field of it's own and exclusive use of the hut's hot tub. Underfloor heating will keep you cosy and after supper simply convert the dining area to a comfy double bed. The hut has an ensuite shower room perfect for freshening up after a day of adventure at the nearby coast. The garden is enclosed to provide security for dogs, but there's plenty of space to take them for a run.
Use our hut as a base to explore the many attractions West Wales has to offer, or simply get away from it all and enjoy the peace and tranquility of our little slice of paradise.
Our hut is located in a field of its own which enjoys the sunshine right up until sunset. Stretch your legs in our beautiful valley or head to one of the many other amazing sites to see in the area.
  • The Three Spaniel's is by far THE best place I have stayed. Everything about this place is outstanding. From the location to Miri and Dave, I honestly could not fault this place. The hut in itself is beautifully presented with some really nice personal touches. The location of where the hut is situated on their ground is perfect, peaceful and secluded. The area of Wales in which this hut is located is perfect for everyone! Whether you want to just stay at the hut and explore Miri and Dave's land or if you want to go into big towns, you are not far away or if like me you want to go to quieter places to explore and walk, you are only 30-40 minutes drive away from some really beautiful places. Miri and Dave are by far the best host's I have ever met, and one of the nicest couples I have ever had the privilege to meet. I unfortunately had an unexpected circumstance on my last night at The Three Spaniel's, with no phone and in the middle of nowhere! Miri and Dave were so thoughtful and kind towards me, which flowed from them naturally. No matter the beautiful hut and hot tub (all done electronically!!!) or the location. I endeavour to return to The Three Spaniels to see Miri and Dave again!! I have not stopped talking about this place since I have returned and long to go back! Miri and Dave; you truly have created a beautiful space.

  • We very much enjoyed our stay in the Shepherds Hut. It was clean, cosy and had everything we needed. It is in a very peaceful location with lovely views and it’s easy to get to various places nearby. The hot tub is a special bonus too! Miri was a great host and very helpful with recommendations. We are looking forward to returning again in the summer.

    Morgan2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay at The Three Spaniels. Hosts Miri and Dave were there to greet us and show us around and are very friendly. The hut was well equipped and the underfloor heating kept us warm and cosy. We had a fantastic New Year’s Eve in the hot tub watching the stars as we were fortunate enough to have a clear night sky! There were hand drawn maps in the folder in the hut which were very well drawn and accurate! Would definitely recommend.

    Sophie2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We have just returned from an excellent stay at The Three Spaniels. Our hosts Dave and Miri were extremely welcoming and always on hand for questions/ advice. We were kindly invited out for a Chinese and cinema trip by the hosts, a great finish to our stay. The Shepherds hut was spotless, with all the amenities we needed, the hot tub was a real treat. It was great to hear about all the exciting plans from the hosts and hopefully we will be back soon, Ozzy is already missing Murphy and Woody!

  • Beautiful cabin with thoughtful touches. Friendly hosts and gorgeous surroundings!

    Charlotte2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Miranda and Dave are amazing hosts. The hut is amazing we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hut is spotlessly clean and very cosy, and is comfortable/suitable in all weather. There are lots of exciting places to go around the local area, and beautiful walks. We watched shooting stars whilst in the hot tub. Overall our experience was unforgettable.

  • Amazing accommodation, beautiful surroundings, and perfect hosts. What a find The Three Spaniels was, the perfect family getaway. The hosts Dave and Miri made us all feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, offering us refreshments after our long drive before giving us a guided tour of the facilities and their 26 acres of land (which you are welcome to explore for yourselves anytime). Our puppy also enjoyed the guided tour given to him by Murphy and Woody (the resident Spaniels). The shepards hut is a great place to stay, spotlessly clean and finished to a very high standard, it provided enough space for 2 adults a 9 year old and 13 month old Cocker Spaniel to live comfortably for 4 nights. The enclosed garden and brand new hot tub are a fantastic finishing touch. The folder provided by Miri in the hut gives ample information on the surrounding areas, from the best beaches, activities, and places to eat. Dave and Miri were always on hand to answer any questions we had and nothing was too much trouble for them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will certainly be returning to The Three Spaniels in the near future. Thanks Dave and Miri, keep up the good work.

    Matt2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Miri and Dave's shepherd hut is a little slice of Welsh heaven. It's the perfect escape, both cosy and comforting as well as having that added bit of luxury with the hot tub. You are near enough lots of beautiful spots that it's worth venturing out for an explore but there was nothing better than coming back at the end of a day to a glass of wine in that hot tub! Just perfect. Thank you both!

Our smallholding is very calm, peaceful and remote, surrounded by its own pasture. Red kites and buzzards live here along with many other bird and animal species. Your accommodation is a light and airy first floor self-contained flat with its own private entrance. There is a stair-lift and a wet room making it suitable for people with limited mobility. A generous continental breakfast is supplied along with fresh eggs from our resident ex-battery chickens.
We have a well equipped, centrally heated one bedroom flat. It has an open plan living/kitchen area, a small bedroom (with a 4' double bed) and wetroom/shower. A good quality fold up single bed, to go in the living area, is also available on request.
LLethr is an equestrian property set in the North East Uplands Special Landscape Area of Carmarthenshire. Here you will find some of the most breathtaking scenery in Wales. If you enjoying walking, there are miles of footpaths and bridleways through open countryside and woodlands. For cycling fans, the picturesque country roads here see very little traffic. There are two fine pubs within 3 miles, and the bustling town of Lampeter with a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants is just fifteen minutes drive. Other local attractions include the Dolaucothi Gold Mines, two horse trekking centres, and a fishing lake. For the more adventurous, there is a superb paragliding site nearby.
  • A beautiful place to stay set in wonderful setting. Thoughtful touches throughout the property. Useful recommendations for places to eat within the welcome pack. Carol and Richard were very warm and welcoming hosts.

  • Beautiful setting, a peaceful, restful place to stay. The accommodation was light, airy, very clean. It had everything I needed and generous good quality provisions, including eggs from the hens for breakfast which were very welcome and delicious.

  • Would recommend this rural retreat without any hesitation at all. Richard and Carol were beyond helpful, and the animals made it even better! Location is perfect for those that want an escape from busy city life with a short 15 minute drive to get any supplies that aren’t already kindly provided. Great base for exploring the beauty of Wales. We will definitely be back!

    Bianca2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely few days at Llethr, thanks. The flat was very comfortable and thoughtfully equipped and watching the rabbits in the field behind was a joy! Look forward to staying again soon.

    Andrew2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The weekend trip has been amazing thanks to Carol's place! Really peaceful and lovely, you can enjoy the nature that surrounds you to switch off from the big cities. Carol and Richard were really helpful with local recommendations and giving us the directions to arrive without problems to the apartment, they both are lovely! The apartment in itself is really cozy, it has everything you need and the views couldn't be better. You can make friends with their super friendly doggos or with the rabbits, horses or chickens (which gave us amazing breakfast eggs) that are around the house. We would stay again without any doubts!!

  • Excellent stay! Friendly, thoughtful hosts. Clean, tidy, modern & well equipped. Fresh farm eggs were tasty for breakfast. I highly recommend staying here! About 15 minute drive from town with supermarkets, cafes & pubs. Lovely quiet location out of town.

  • We had a wonderful stay at the rural retreat! The location was beautiful and just what we wanted to escape the city for the weekend. Also very quiet and peaceful. The airbnb was extremely clean, with a good range of cooking utensils. They were also very thoughtful to include things like milk, tea, bread and fresh eggs. We enjoyed long hikes around the nearby valleys and spending time with so many different animals on the property, our favourites being the chickens and dogs. This is the definitely the perfect place if you are an animal lover! Carol and Richard were very friendly and hospitable. We highly recommend staying here and hope to be back in the future.

  • Just got back from a relaxing weekend stay at Robert & Ian's lovely cottage. Cosy & comfortable with everything we could ever need, plus a few extra touches. The cottage is tucked up away from the road so it's nice & quiet but not out the middle of nowhere. We found it the ideal base to visit New Quay, Aberaeron & Aberystwyth. Will definitely be recommending this place to friends & family :) Thanks again!

Ty Twt - neat and cosy - is part of Wildernest, a haven set in the coastal hills above the delightful Aeron Valley. Sleeping is in the croglofft, above the kitchen-diner, with 2nd bedroom and shower room on ground; underfloor heating and log burner. It can sleep 4 but we say 3 people comfortably. Hence, there's no charge for a fourth person. If you need the second bed to be made up please enter 3 (or 4) guests.
Ty Twt is part of the old stone range in the former store house. Adjacent is Cuddfan and the Long Barn.
There are two special aspects to the landscape here - the Cambrian mountains and the Cardigan coast - making this a real green and wild destination. The Cardigan coast is notched with a chain of secluded coves with nestling villages. It is one of the best spots to see sea life with regular sightings of dolphins, porpoises, and seals. Seabirds perform from nests on the cliffs and it is one of the few places to see the masterful aerobatics of choughs. Cwm Silio is one the best-kept secrets; this beautifully secluded cove lies down a path from the back of a graveyard, through temperate rain forest, past waterfalls, across streams and butterfly- strewn slopes. There's not an artefact in sight. Further on, Castell Bach iron-age fort remains with the incredibly folded rock formations
  • Absolutely stunning! Very welcoming on arrival. Beautiful scenery, calm atmosphere. Inside was spotless and very cosy. Would definitely stay again!

  • We really had a great time in this lovely cottage and would definetely recommend it to everyone. Hugh and Jude are the best hosts you could wish for. We would like to come back here one day!

    Adrienne2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely escape in a nice peaceful location. We were expecting it to be really cold in the middle of February, but the barn has under floor heating and was really toasty all of the time, and the log fire was a treat in the evenings. We took our almost 2 year old, and he loved waking up to the chickens and Jimi the dog. The lack of TV is really refreshing, and we played games and had some good quality family time instead.

    Stephanie2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Ty Twt: Stylish, well appointed and quiet bolt hole. Recommended. I needed somewhere quiet to do some work for a few days in Feb. Ty Twt was perfect. The wifi was excellent, facilities were all good and the communication and hospitality was just what I was after. Hugh was around to help when needed, but not intrusive at all.

    Dominic2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Superb stylish accommodation. Hugh and his wife were very welcoming; we had two young children with us (3 and 1) and had no problems. They loved hanging out in the communal room before their tea on an evening and the chickens and dog coming to our door in the morning. We loved the feel of the place, exploring the local area (although many attractions were closed due to it been January) but still had a great time and some lovely walks. Also loved returning back to the accommodation, cooking at a feast and getting cosy in front of the log burner with a glass of wine. Would highly recommend.

    Simon2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This really is a welcome retreat. Very cosy with underfloor heating and a wood burner if you like a fire. We did! Hugh and Jude are so friendly and are clearly passionate about the estate. You can sit at the window and get up close with many different species of woodland birds, whilst reading a good book or easily go out and explore the amazing Ceredigion landscape.
